1Antibacterial activity of lemongrass(Cymbopogon citratus) oil against some selected pathogenic bacterias显示文摘Objective:To find the effectiveness of essential oil of lemongrass for the treatment of pathogenic organisms.Methods:Lemongrass oil was investigated for activity against Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus),Bacillus cereus(B.cereus),Bacillus subtilis(B.subtilis),Escherichia coli(E.coli), Klebsiella pneumoniae(K.pneumoniae) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa(P.aeruginosa),using Agar Diffusion Method and Broth Dilution Method.Minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC) were determined by the Broth Dilution Method. The antibiotic susceptibility test against the test organisms was performed by Disc Diffusion Method.Results:Lemongrass was found effective against all the test organisms except P. aeruginosa.Gram positive organisms were found more sensitive to lemon grass oil as compared to gram negative organisms.The test organisms were found inhibited by Lemon grass oil at lower concentrations in Broth Dilution Method as compared to Agar Diffusion Method.Conclusions: The tested organisms,particularly gram-negative organisms had shown high resistance towards different antibiotics whereas they were found to be inhibited by lemongrass oil even at lower concentration.Thus lemongrass oil is effective against drug resistant organisms.It can be suggested that use of lemongrass oil would be helpful in the treatment of infections caused by multidrug resistant organisms.Mohd Irfan Naik Bashir Ahmad Fomda Ebenezar Jaykumar Javid Ahmad Bhat 2010Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2010,3,7:14
2煤炭腐植酸作为土壤改良剂对土壤物理性质和小麦产量的影响显示文摘在巴基斯坦旁遮普的波特瓦地区(33°N,74°E),集约化土壤耕作,土壤侵蚀和低量作物残体的投入是导致土壤结构退化的原因。结构不稳定的土壤很容易受到侵蚀,反过来,土壤侵蚀又会造成作物产量的下降。因此,为了改善土壤的物理性状,在巴基斯坦旁遮普的干旱地区进行了田间试验。试验地点位于大学(拉瓦尔品第PMAS干旱农业大学)研究农场的园区内。2种不同等级(实验室级和商品级)的腐植酸(HA)各分8个水平,施用2年,处理分别为HL_0(对照,不施腐植酸),HL_1 10 kg HA/hm^2,HL_2 20 kg HA/hm^2,HL_3 30 kg HA/hm^2,HL_4 60 kg HA/hm^2,HL_5 90 kg HA/hm^2,HL_6 120 kg HA/hm^2和HL_7 150 kg HA/hm^2,各处理同时配合施用N-P-K(120-90-60 kg/hm^2)。试验期间,检测土壤总有机碳、饱和导水率、团聚体稳定性、容重、土壤含水量和作物产量。试验结果表明,腐植酸能通过影响土壤总有机碳、饱和导水率、团聚体稳定性、容重和土壤含水量等指标来改善土壤的物理性状。2年试验结果均表现为,实验室级的腐植酸比商品级的腐植酸能更好地改善土壤物理性状,从而提高小麦产量。2种不同级别的腐植酸各施用水平与对照相比,差异均显著。在120 kg/hm^2和150 kg/hm^2的腐植酸施用水平下,大多数指标均显示出了相似的结果,因此,从经济角度考虑,120 k g/hm^2的腐植酸用量为最佳施用量。Ijaz Ahmad Safdar Ali Khalid Saifullah Khan Fayyazul Hassan Kashif Bashir 何一通 孙志梅 2016腐植酸2016,,3:10

Some new existence and uniqueness results are obtained by using some standard fixed point theorems and Leray-Schauder degree theory. Some illustrative examples are also presented. 4Peristaltic flow in an asymmetric channel with convective boundary conditions and Joule heating显示文摘The peristaltic transport of viscous fluid in an asymmetric channel is concentrated. The channel walls exhibit convective boundary conditions. Both cases of hydrodynamic and magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) fluids are considered. Mathematical analysis has been presented in a wave frame of reference. The resulting problems are non-dimensionalized. Long wavelength and low Reynolds number approximations are employed. Joule heating effect on the thermal equation is retained. Analytic solutions for stream function and temperature are constructed. Numerical integration is carried out for pressure rise per wavelength. 7DYNAMICS OF A HEPATITIS B MODEL WITH SATURATED INCIDENCE显示文摘In this article, we present a hepatitis B epidemic model with saturated incidence.The dynamic behaviors of the deterministic and stochastic system are studied. To this end, we first establish the local and global stability conditions of the equilibrium of the deterministic model. 11Discrimination of Five Species of Panax Genus and their Geographical Origin Using Electronic Tongue Combined with Chemometrics显示文摘Objective:Authentication is vital to the reduction of the misuse of Panax species due to their extensive array of uses and similarities between species.However,the current authentication approach is time-consuming,laborious,and costly.The aim of this study is to discriminate the botanical origins of five species in Panax genus by a rapid and simple approach.Methods:Here,an electronic tongue(E-tongue)was applied to discriminate the botanical origins of five species of Panax,i.e.,Panax quinquefolius,Panax japonicus,P.japonicus var.major,Panax zingiberensis,and Panax notoginseng(representative high-,middle-,and low-latitude plants),and the four geographical origins of P.japonicus and P.japonicus var.major plants.Data preprocessing methods,including principal component analysis(PCA),hierarchical cluster analysis(HCA),and linear discriminant analysis(LDA),were used.Results:Three models can discriminate five species of Panax genus and four plants of P.japonicus and P.japonicus var.major from different geographical origins.LDA was superior to PCA and HCA in terms of satisfactory classification.Conclusion:The findings confirmed the potential of the E-tongue for performing rapid,simple,and cost-effective discrimination via LDA.Li-Xia Tian Jin-Hua Li Li Zhang Bashir Ahmad Lin-Fang Huang 2021World Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,7,1:2
12Fusarium wilt of banana:Current update and sustainable disease control using classical and essential oils approaches显示文摘Fusarium species were reported to produce biofilms.Biofilms are superficial societies of microbes bounded and endangered by being situated or taking place outside a cell or cells.The most destructive fungal diseases caused by phytopathogens are as a result of biofilms formation.Fusarium wilt of banana(Panama disease)is caused by a soil-borne pathogen called Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cubense.Fusarium oxysporum occurs in a form of a species complex(FOSC)which encompasses a crowd of strains.Horizontal genetic factor transfer may donate to the observed assortment in pathogenic strains,while sexual reproduction is unknown in the FOSC.Fusarium wilt is a notorious disease on several crops worldwide.Yield loss caused by this pathogen is huge,and significant to destroy crop yields annually,thereby affecting the producer countries in various continents of the world.The disease is also resistant to various synthetic chemical fungicides.However,excessive use of synthetic fungicides during disease control could be lethal to humans,animals,and plants.This calls for alternative eco-friendly management of this disease by targeting the biofilms formation and finally suppressing this devastating phytopathogen.In this review,we,therefore,described the damage caused by Fusarium wilt disease,the concept of filamentous fungal biofilms,classical control strategies,sustainable disease control strategies using essential oils,and prevention and control of vegetables Fusarium wilt diseases.Abubakar Abubakar Ismaila Khairulmazmi Ahmad Yasmeen Siddique Muhammad Aswad Abdul Wahab Abdulaziz Bashir Kutawa Adamu Abdullahi Syazwan Afif Mohd Zobir Arifin Abdu Siti Nor Akmar Abdullah 2023Horticultural Plant Journal2023,9,1:2
