| 2 | LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION PLANNING UNDER ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS AND UNCERTAINTIES显示文摘In this paper we demonstrate the need for risk-adjusted approaches to planning expansion of livestock production. In particular, we illustrate that under exposure to risk, a portfolio of producers is needed where more efficient producers co-exist and cooperate with less efficient ones given that the latter are associated with lower, uncorrelated or even negatively correlated contingencies. This raises important issues of cooperation and risk sharing among diverse producers. For large-scale practical allocation problems when information on the contingencies may be disperse, not analytically tractable, or be available on aggregate levels, we propose a downscaling procedure based on behavioral principles utilizing spatial risk preference structure. It allows for estimation of production allocation at required resolutions accounting for location specific risks and suitability constraints. The approach provides a tool for harmonization of data from various spatial levels. | 6 | Can fecal microbiota transplantation cure irritable bowel syndrome?显示文摘AIM To verify the utility of treatment with fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT) in patients with irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).METHODS We searched EMBASE, Cochrane Library and Pub Med in March, 2017. The reviewed literature was based on two systematic searches in each of the databases. The Me SH terms used were IBS and fecal microbiota transplantation and the abbreviations IBS and FMT. Reference lists from the articles were reviewed to identify additional pertinent articles. RESULTS A total of six conference abstracts, one case report, one letter to the editor, and one clinical review were included. In the final analysis, treatment of 48 patients was evaluated. Treatment revealed an improvement in 58% of cases. The varying structure of the nine included studies must be taken into consideration.CONCLUSION Data on FMT and IBS are too limited to draw sufficientconclusions. Similar Ce anomalies are also present in omphacite or clinopyroxene but to a much lesser extent. Such mixed negative and positive Ce anomalies mimic those found in severe weathering profiles developed under oxidizing conditions. | 8 | Pioneering function of Isl1 in the epigenetic control of cardiomyocyte cell fate显示文摘Generation of widely differing and specialized cell types from a single totipotent zygote involves large-scale transcriptional changes and chromatin reorganization. Pioneer transcription factors play key roles in programming the epigenome and facilitating recruitment of additional regulatory factors during successive cell lineage specification and differentiation steps. Here we show that Isl1 acts as a pioneer factor driving cardiomyocyte lineage commitment by shaping the chromatin landscape of cardiac progenitor cells. Using an Isl1 hypomorphic mouse line which shows congenital heart defects, genome-wide profiling of Isl1 binding together with RNA- and ATAC-sequencing of cardiac progenitor cells and their derivatives, we uncover a regulatory network downstream of Isl1 that orchestrates cardiogenesis. Mechanistically, we show that Isl1 binds to compacted chromatin and works in concert with the Brg1-Baf60c-based SWI/SNF complex to promote permissive cardiac lineage-specific alterations in the chromatin landscape not only of genes with critical functions in cardiac progenitor cells, but also of cardiomyocyte structural genes that are highly expressed when Isl1 itself is no longer present. | 12 | Triggers of histologically suspected drug-induced colitis显示文摘BACKGROUND Drug toxicity is a common and even serious problem in the gastrointestinal tract that is thought to be caused by a broad spectrum of agents.Although withdrawal of the causative agent would cure the disease knowledge is scarce and mostly derives from case reports and series.AIM To investigate potential triggers of drug-induced colitis(DiC).METHODS We conducted a retrospective,observational case control study.Patients were assigned to DiC or one of two age-and gender-matched control groups(noninflammatory controls and inflammatory colitis of another cause)based on histopathological findings.Histopathology was reassessed in a subset of patients(28 DiC with atherosclerosis,DiC without atherosclerosis and ischaemic colitis each)for validation purposes.Medical history was collected from the electronic database and patient records.Statistical analysis included chi-squared test,t-test,logistic and multivariate regression models.RESULTS Drug-induced colitis was detected in 211 endoscopically sampled biopsy specimens of the colon mucosa(7%of all screened colonoscopic biopsy samples);a total of 633 patients were included equally matched throughout the three groups(291 males,mean age:62.1±16.1 years).In the univariate analysis,DiC was associated with diuretics,dihydropyridines,glycosides,ASS,platelet aggregation inhibitors,nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),statins and fibrates,and with atherosclerosis,particularly coronary heart disease,and hyperlipoproteinaemia.Echocardiographic parameters did not show substantial differences.In the multivariate analysis only fibrates[odds ratio(OR)=9.1],NSAIDs(OR=6.7)and atherosclerosis(OR=2.1)proved to be associated with DiC.Both DiC reassessment groups presented milder inflammation than ischaemic colitis.The DiC patients with atherosclerosis exhibited histological features from both DiC without atherosclerosis and ischaemic colitis.CONCLUSION Several drugs indicated for the treatment of cardiovascular and related diseases are associated with DiC.Atherosclerosis and microcirculatory disturbances seem to play an important pathogenetic role. | Thorsten Brechmann Katharina Günther Matthias Neid Wolff Schmiegel Andrea Tannapfel | 2019 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2019，25，8： | 3 |
