| 1 | Reappraisement and refinement of zircon U-Pb isotope and trace element analyses by LA-ICP-MS显示文摘A protocol was established for simultaneous measurements of zircon U-Pb ages and trace elements by LA-ICP-MS at spot sizes of 16 32 μm.This was accomplished by introducing N 2 into ICP to increase the sensitivity.The obtained U-Pb ages for zircon standards GJ-1,TEMORA and SK10-2 are consistent with the preferred values within about 1% uncertainty (2σ) by simple external calibration against zircon standard 91500.Different data reduction softwares could yield different uncertainties for calculation of U-Pb ages.The commercially available program GLITTER4.4 could apply an improper uncertainty calculation strategy,but it may yield artificial high precisions for single analyses.Our trace element analyses indicate that Si is not an ideal internal standard for zircon when calibrated against the NIST glasses.Calibration against the NIST glasses using Si as an internal standard,a systematic deviation of 10% 30% was found for most trace elements including Zr.However,the trace element compositions of zircon can be accurately measured by calibration against multiple reference materials with natural compositions (e.g.,BCR-2G,BHVO-2G and BIR-1G),or calibration against NIST SRM 610 and using Zr as an internal standard.Analyses of two pieces of GJ-1 demonstrate that it is relatively homogenous for most trace elements (except for Ti). | LIU YongSheng HU ZhaoChu ZONG KeQing GAO ChangGui GAO Shan XU Juan CHEN HaiHong | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,15: | 1011 |

| 4 | Surface ozone observations during voyages to the Arctic and Antarctic regions显示文摘Surface ozone concentration and UV-B data between 75° N and 70° S were obtained aboard the Chinese polar scientific vessel 'Xue-long' (Snow-Dragon) during the first voyage to the Arctic and the 16th to the Antarctic in 1999-2000. Analysis of these data presents that variations of the surface ozone concentration have small amplitude during voyages except the mid-latitude in the Northern Hemisphere. As a whole, average surface ozone concentration in the Northern Hemisphere is higher than that in the Southern, and high value occurred when the ship sailed close to the continents. | 6 | Development characteristics of the fault system and its control on basin structure, Bodong Sag, East China显示文摘The Bodong Sag,located in the Bohai Sea,offshore China,is one of the most petroliferous basins in China.Based on three dimensional seismic reflection data and time slice data,we analyze the fault system of the Bodong area in detail,establish the fault structure pattern of different types and summarize the distribution of the fault system.It is concluded that the development characteristics of the Cenozoic fault system are in accordance with the dextral stress field of the Tanlu Fault,which displayed a brush structure with NNE strike-slip faults as its principal faults,NE-trending extensional faults as secondary faults and EW-trending faults as minor faults.Faults can be divided into (1) strike-slip type,(2) extensional type,(3) strike-slip extensional type and (4) extensional strike-slip type.The spatial structures of different faults have obvious differences because of the fault properties and activity intensity.The fault system at different stages shows tremendous differences because of the transition of the Tanlu Fault from sinistral strike-slip to dextral strike-slip,the transition between extension and strike-slip,and the transition from mantle upwelling to thermal subsidence.According to the controlling effect of faults on basin structure,the Cenozoic basin experienced four evolutionary stages,(a) transition stage from sinistral strike-slip to dextral strike-slip,(b) strike-slip extensional faulted stage,(c) extensional strike-slip faulted stage and (d) strike-slip depression stage.The identification of temporal and spatial differences of faults could be used as a significant guideline for oil and gas exploration in the Bodong area. | Wu Zhiping Cheng Yanjun Yan Shiyong Su Wen Wang Xin Xu Changgui Zhou Xinhuai | 2013 | Petroleum Science2013,10,4: | 4 |
| 7 | Technique for Advanced Electrochemical Oxidation Treatment of Nanofiltration Concentrate of Landfill Leachate显示文摘Landfill leachate treated with combined process of 'pretreatment +biological treatment +advanced treatment(NF)' to produce nanofiltration concentrate, which bio-chemical ratio(B/C) is less than 0.1 and CODcr concentration is 2 000-2 500 mg/L, high salt content. Which cannot be discharged under existing environmental standards. According to analysis based on electrochemical advanced oxidation mechanism, a two-step electrochemical technique was recommended. In the first step, a pulse electrochemical technique was adopted. With Fe as consumption electrode and current density of 10 mA/cm2, the pollutants were removed by means of Fenton reaction, electroflotation and electrocoagulation. In the second step, a double function electrode was used to perform electrocatalytic oxidation by means of titanium metallic oxidates. In the condition that current density being 12.5 mA/cm2, the pollutants were further removed by oxidation and electrolytic deposition. | 8 | Structure of summer atmospheric boundary layer in the center of Arctic Ocean and its relation with sea ice extent change显示文摘The atmospheric vertical structure and changed characteristics of boundary layer parameters, as well as their relations with sea ice and temperature changes in the center of Arctic Ocean(80°–88°N) are presented by adopting GPS sounding data obtained by the 4th–6th Arctic expeditions of China and NCEP(National Centre for Environmental Prediction) reanalysis data. Obvious differences are observed regarding the tropopause, boundary layer height, temperature inversion, and vertical structure of wind speed and direction in the center Arctic Ocean in the summer of 2012, 2010, and 2014. These differences can be explained by the relations between temperature and changes in sea ice extent in September from 1979 to 2014. In September 2012, the Arctic sea ice extent decreased by 44% an with obvious warming process. In September 2010 and 2014, it decreased by 22.6% and 17% with an obvious cooling process, respectively. A comparison of the two processes shows that sea ice change has a significant influence on the structure of the atmospheric boundary layer. In the recent 30 years, the temperature changes of 1000 and 850 h Pa in the center of the Arctic Ocean have displayed an obvious warming trend and negative correlation with sea ice extent. | 9 | The vertical structure of the atmospheric boundary layer over the central Arctic Ocean显示文摘The tropopause height and the atmospheric boundary layer(PBL)height as well as the variation of inversion layer above the floating ice surface are presented using GPS(global position system)radiosonde sounding data and relevant data obtained by China’s fourth arctic scientific expedition team over the central Arctic Ocean(86–88 N,144–170 W)during the summer of 2010.The tropopause height is from 9.8 to 10.5 km,with a temperature range between–52.2 and–54.1 C in the central Arctic Ocean.Two zones of maximum wind(over 12 m/s)are found in the wind profile,namely,low-and upper-level jets,located in the middle troposphere and the tropopause,respectively.The wind direction has a marked variation point in the two jets from the southeast to the southwest.The average PBL height determined by two methods is 341 and 453m respectively.These two methods can both be used when the inversion layer is very low,but the results vary significantly when the inversion layer is very high.A significant logarithmic relationship exists between the PBL height and the inversion intensity,with a correlation coefficient of 0.66,indicating that the more intense the temperature inversion is,the lower the boundary layer will be.The observation results obviously differ from those of the third arctic expedition zone(80–85 N).The PBL height and the inversion layer thickness are much lower than those at 87–88 N,but the inversion temperature is more intense,meaning a strong iceatmosphere interaction in the sea near the North Pole.The PBL structure is related to the weather system and the sea ice concentration,which affects the observation station. | BIAN Lingen MA Yongfeng LU Changgui LIN Xiang | 2013 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,10: | 3 |

| 14 | Clinical and functional comparison of dynamic hip screws and intramedullary nails for treating proximal femur metastases in older individuals显示文摘Objective:To compare the outcomes of dynamic hip screws(DHS)and intramedullary nailing(IMN)in the treatment of extra-capsular metastatic carcinoma of the proximal femur.Methods:A retrospective case analysis method was used to examine data of patients with proximal metastatic cancer of the femur who were treated with internal fixation in Department of Orthopaedics,Beijing Friendship Hospital,from January 2007 to December 2018.Blood loss,postoperative pain,functional score,length of stay,and survival rates were compared,and postoperative complications were assessed.Results:Complete follow-up data were available for 33 patients.The mean follow-up period was 12.2±3.6(range:9-32)months and the average age was 72.3±4.7(range:59-83)years old.There were 20 females and 13 males.Twenty-three patients had undergone IMN and 10 DHS,according to bone defects and the patient’s overall condition.The median survival time was 10 months in the IMN group and 11 months in the DHS group.Duration of surgery(t=-7.366,P<0.001)and length of hospital stay(t=-3.509,P<0.001)differed significantly between the two groups.There was one case of breakage of internal fixation in the IMN group.Conclusions:There was no significant difference between DHS and IMN in terms of surgical efficacy.IMN and DHS were different in terms of surgical time and hospital stay.However,due to the limited number of cases in this study,multi-factor analysis has not been performed and needs to be further verified in future analysis.When developing a surgical plan,it is recommended to consider the patient’s condition and the surgeon’s experience. | Hua Gao Xiaodong Bai Wentao Chen Yadong Li Liang Zhao Changgui Liu Zhenyu Liu Baojun Wang | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,3: | 2 |
| 15 | Pathophysiology of obesity and its associated diseases显示文摘The occurrence of obesity has increased across the whole world. Many epidemiological studies have indicated that obesity strongly contributes to the development of cancer, cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, liver diseases and other disorders, accounting for a heavy burden on the public and on health-care systems every year. Excess energy uptake induces adipocyte hypertrophy, hyperplasia and formation of visceral fat in other non-adipose tissues to evoke cardiovascular disease, liver diseases. Adipose tissue can also secrete adipokines and inflammatory cytokines to affect the local microenvironment,induce insulin resistance, hyperglycemia, and activate associated inflammatory signaling pathways. This further exacerbates the development and progression of obesity-associated diseases. Although some progress in the treatment of obesity has been achieved in preclinical and clinical studies, the progression and pathogenesis of obesity-induced diseases are complex and unclear. We still need to understand their links to better guide the treatment of obesity and associated diseases.
