1Observation of double indirect interlayer exciton in MoSe_(2)/WSe_(2) heterostructure显示文摘Interlayer excitons(IXS)are electron–hole pairs bound in the spatial separation layer by the Coulomb effect,and their lifetime is several orders of magnitude longer than that of direct excitons,providing an essential platform for long-lived exciton devices.The recent emergence of the van der Waals heterostructure(HS),which combines two layers of different transitional metal dichalcogenides(TMDs),has created new opportunities for IX research.Herein,we demonstrate the observation of double indirect interlayer excitons in the MoSe_(2)/WSe_(2)HS using photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy.The intensities of the two peaks are essentially the same,and the energy difference is 22 meV,which is perfectly in line with the calculation result of density functional theory.Furthermore,the experience of variable excitation power also proves that the splitting of the IXs originates from the conduction band spin-splitting of MoSe_(2).The observation results provide a promising platform for further exploring the new physical properties and optoelectronic phenomena of TMD HS.Biao Wu Yunpeng Wang Jiahong Zhong Cheng Zeng Yassine Madoune Wanting Zhu Zongwen Liu Yanping Liu 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:3
2Effectiveness and time-course adaptation of resistance training vs. plyometric training in prepubertal soccer players显示文摘Purpose:This study aimed to assess the effectiveness and time course for improvements in explosive actions through resistance training(RT)vs.plyometric training(PT)in prepubertal soccer players.Methods:Thirty-four male subjects were assigned to:a control group(n=11);an RT group(5 regular soccer training sessions per week,n=12);a PT group(3 soccer training sessions and 2 RT sessions per week,n=11).The outcome measures included tests for the assessment of muscle strength(e.g.,1 repetition maximum half-squat test),jump ability(e.g.,countermovement jump,squat jump,standing long jump,and multiple 5 bounds test),linear speed(e.g.,20m sprint test),and change of direction(e.g.,Illinois change of direction test).Results:The RTG showed an improvement in the half-squat(△=13.2%;d=1.3,p<0.001)and countermovement jump(△=9.4%;d=2.4,p<0.001)at Week 4,whereas improvements in the 20-m sprint(△=4.2%;d=1.1,p<0.01);change of direction(CoD)(△=3.8%;d=2.1,p<0.01);multiple 5 bounds(△=5.1%;d=1.5,p<0.05);standing long jump(△=7.2%;d=1.2,p<0.01);squat jump(△=19.6%;d=1.5,p<0.01);were evident at Week 8.The PTG showed improvements in CoD(△=2.1%;d=1.3,p<0.05);standing long jump(△=9.3%;d=1.1,p<0.01);countermovement jump(△=16.1%;d=1.2,p<0.01);and squat jump(△=16.7%;d=1.4,p<0.01);at Week 8 whereas improvements in the 20-m sprint(△=4.1%;d=1.3,p<0.01);and multiple 5 bounds(△=7.4%;d=2.4,p<0.001);were evident only after Week.The RT and PT groups showed improvements in all sprint,CoD,and jump tests(p<0.05)and in half-squat performance,for which improvement was only shown within the RTG(p<0.001).Conclusion:RT and PT conducted in combination with regular soccer training are safe and feasible interventions for prepubertal soccer players.In addition,these interventions were shown to be effective training tools to improve explosive actions with different time courses of improvements,which manifested earlier in the RTG than in the PTG.These outcomes may help coaches and fitness trainers set out clear and concise goals of training according to the specific time course of improvement difference between RT and PT on proxies of athletic performance of prepubertal soccer players.Yassine Negra Helmi Chaabene Thomas Stöggl Mehréz Hammami Mohamed Souhaiel Chelly Younés Hachana 2020Journal of Sport and Health Science2020,9,6:3

4Fuzzy Adaptive Control of a Fractional Order Chaotic System With Unknown Control Gain Sign Using a Fractional Order Nussbaum Gain显示文摘In this paper we propose an improved fuzzy adaptive control strategy, for a class of nonlinear chaotic fractional order(SISO) systems with unknown control gain sign. The online control algorithm uses fuzzy logic sets for the identification of the fractional order chaotic system, whereas the lack of a priori knowledge on the control directions is solved by introducing a fractional order Nussbaum gain. Based on Lyapunov stability theorem, stability analysis is performed for the proposed control method for an acceptable synchronization error level. In this work, the Gr ¨unwald-Letnikov method is used for numerical approximation of the fractional order systems. 9Electrospun Polyethylene Glycol/Polyvinyl Alcohol Composite Nanofibrous Membranes as Shape-Stabilized Solid-Solid Phase Change Materials显示文摘In this work,shape-stabilized solid-solid phase change materials(PCMs)were fabricated by simply electrospinning polyethylene glycol(PEG)and polyvinyl alcohol(PVA).Owing to the strong hydrogen bonds and entanglement between those molecular chains of PEG and PVA,PEG was packaged by PVA.The morphological structures,thermal stability and thermal energy storage properties of those fibers were investigated.SEM results showed that those electrospun PVA/PEG composite membranes hold a three-dimensional nonwoven web structure even the content of PEG as high as 70%.The thermal energy storage ability of those composite fibers increased with the increase of the content of PEG.The heat enthalpies of PEG/PVA=7/3 were as high as 78.806 J/g.Moreover,those composite fibers had excellent thermal stability.After 100 heating and cooling cycles,there was almost no obvious change in the melting enthalpy and crystallization enthalpy.Those fibers still maintained good thermal regulation.The simple preparation process,low cost of raw materials and excellent stability endow the PCMs great utilization potentiality in smart textile and energy storage systems.Junwen Huang Houyong Yu Somia Yassin Hussain Abdalkarim Jaromir Marek Jiri Militky Yingzhan Li Juming Yao 2020Advanced Fiber Materials2020,2,3:2

11Impact of dietary oils and fats on lipid peroxidation in liver and blood of albino rats显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effects of different dietary fat and oils(differing in their degree of saturation and unsaturation)on lipid peroxidation in liver and blood of rats.Methods:The study was conducted on SO albino rats that were randomly divided into 5 groups of 10 animals.The groups were fed on dietary butter(Group I),margarine(Croup II),olive oil(Group III),sunflower oil(Group IV)and com oil(Group V)for 7 weeks.After 12 h of diet removal,livers were excised and blood was collected to measure malondialdehyde(MDA)levels in the supernatant of liver homogenate and in blood.Blood superoxide dismutase activity(SOD),glutathione peroxidase activity(GPx),serum vitamin E and total antioxidant capacity(TAC)levels were also measured to determine the effects of fats and oils on lipid peroxidation.Results:The results indicated that no significant differences were observed in SOD activity,vitamin E and TAC levels between the five groups.However,there was significant decrease of GPx activity in groups IV and V when compared with otlier groups.The results indicated that feeding corn oil caused significant increases in liver and blood MDA levels as compared with other oils and fats.There were positive correlations between SOD and GPx,vitamin E and TAC as well as between GPx and TAC(r:0.743;P<0.001)and between blood MDA and liver MDA(r:0.897;P<0.00l).The results showed also negative correlations between blood MDA on one hand and SOD,GPx,vitamin E and TAC on the other hand.Conclusions:The results demonstrated that feeding oils rich in polyunsaturated fatly acids(PUFA)increases lipid peroxidation significantly and may raise the susceptibility of tissues to free radical oxidative damage.Mohammad El-Sayed Yassin El-Sayed Haggag Rafaat Mohamed Elsanhoty Mohamed Fawzy Ramadan 2014Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2014,4,1:2
12Phytochemical and biological activities of Crataegus sinaica growing in Egypt显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the cardiac activity and hepatoprotection of Crataegus sinaica (C.sinaica).Methods:All the isolated compounds were isolated by open-column liquid chromatography(CC) using sephadex LH-20 as stationary phase.Elution of the column was performed with EtOH or MeOH.The phytochemical investigation of the young stem of C.sinaica for the first time together with the leaves and flowers lead to the isolation and identification of quercetin,hyperoside,vitexin-2'-0-rhamnoside,epicatechin,procyanidin B2 and procyanidins CI.Results:Rats treated with the low and high dose of C.sinaica leaves with flowers extract showed 15%and 17%reduction in the heart rate,and reduction in the STsegment by 107%and 57%;respectively.The T-amplitude was decreased by 59%of the high dose extract.On the other hand,the young steins and leaves with flowers extracts of C.sinaica on primary culture of rat hepatocytes monolayer indicated a hepatoprotection for the total extract,ethyl acetate,butanol,and chlor of orm fractions at 100μg/mL,75μg/mL,50μg/mL,and 25μg/mL; respectively.Conclusions:The results of these chemical and biological studies suggest the use of C.sinaica growing in Egypt as a preventive drug against cardiovascular and hepatic diseases. 13PdSe_(2)/MoSe_(2) vertical heterojunction for self-powered photodetector with high performance显示文摘Van der Waals’two-dimensional(2D)material heterostructure engineering offers an effective strategy for the design of multifunctional and high-performance optoelectronic devices.However,2D heterostructure photodetectors with a photoconductive effect tend to suffer from high driving source-drain voltages and significant dark noise currents.Herein,a self-powered photodetector with high performance was fabricated based on vertically stacked graphene/MoSe_(2)/PdSe_(2)/graphene heterojunctions through a dry transfer method.The fabricated device displays current rectification characteristics in darkness(on/off ratio>10^(3))and superior photovoltaic behaviors under illumination.In addition,benefitting from the strong built-in field,the Gr/PdSe_(2)/MoSe_(2)/Gr heterojunction photodetector is able to respond to a broad spectrum from visible to near-infrared(NIR)with a remarkable responsivity of 651 mA·W^(−1),a high specific detectivity of 5.29×10^(11) Jones and a fast response speed of 41.7/62.5μs.Moreover,an enhanced responsivity of 1.16 A·W^(−1) has been obtained by a reverse voltage(−1 V)and further evaluation on image recognition has also demonstrated the great application potential of the Gr/MoSe_(2)/PdSe_(2)/Gr heterojunction photodetector.The findings are expected to bring new opportunities for the development of highly sensitive,high-speed and energy-efficient photodetectors for comprehensive applications.Jiahong Zhong Biao Wu Yassine MADOUNE Yunpeng Wang Zongwen Liu Yanping Liu 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:2
14Photoelectrochemical evaluation of SILAR-deposited nanoporous BiVO4 photoanodes for solar-driven water splitting显示文摘We report a photoelectrochemical investigation of BiVO4 photoanodes prepared by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction(SILAR),a facile method that yields uniform nanoporous films.After characterization of the phase,morphology,composition,and optical properties of the prepared films,the efficiencies of charge separation(ηsep)and water oxidation(ηox)in solar water splitting cells employing these photoanodes were estimated following a previously reported procedure.Unexpected wavelength and illumination direction dependencies were discovered in the derived efficiencies,casting doubt on the validity of the analysis.An alternative approach using a diffusion–reaction model that explicitly considers the efficiency of electron collection resolved the discrepancies and explained the illumination direction dependence of the photocurrent.Electron diffusion lengths(Ln)of 0.45μm and 0.55μm were derived for pristine and cobalt phosphate(Co-Pi)modified BiVO4,respectively,which are much shorter than the film thickness of^2.1μm.The Co-Pi treatment also increasedηoxfrom 0.86 to^1,which is the main reason for the overall performance enhancement caused by adding Co-Pi.These findings suggest that there is little scope for improving the performance of SILAR-deposited BiVO4 photoanodes by further catalyzing water oxidation,but enhanced performance is achievable if electron transport can be improved.Siti Nur'ain Haji Yassin Adrian Soong Leong Sim James Robert Jennings 2020Nano Materials Science2020,2,3:2
15The effects of plyometric jump training on physical fitness attributes in basketball players:A meta-analysis`显示文摘Background:There is a growing body of experimental evidence examining the effects of plyometric jump training(PJT)on physical fitness attributes in basketball players;however,this evidence has not yet been comprehensively and systematically aggregated.Therefore,our objective was to meta-analyze the effects of PJT on physical fitness attributes in basketball players,in comparison to a control condition.Methods:A systematic literature search was conducted in the databases PubMed,Web of Science,and Scopus,up to July 2020.Peer-reviewed controlled trials with baseline and follow-up measurements investigating the effects of PJT on physical fitness attributes(muscle power,i.e.,jumping performance,linear sprint speed,change-of-direction speed,balance,and muscle strength)in basketball players,with no restrictions on their playing level,sex,or age.Hedge’s g effect sizes(ES)were calculated for physical fitness variables.Using a random-effects model,potential sources of heterogeneity were selected,including subgroup analyses(age,sex,body mass,and height)and single training factor analysis(program duration,training frequency,and total number of training sessions).Computation of metaregression was also performed.Results:Thirty-two studies were included,involving 818 total basketball players.Significant(p<0.05)small-to-large effects of PJT were evident on vertical jump power(ES=0.45),countermovement jump height with(ES=1.24)and without arm swing(ES=0.88),squat jump height(ES=0.80),drop jump height(ES=0.53),horizontal jump distance(ES=0.65),linear sprint time across distances≤10 m(ES=1.67)and>10 m(ES=0.92),change-of-direction performance time across distances≤40 m(ES=1.15)and>40 m(ES=1.02),dynamic(ES=1.16)and static balance(ES=1.48),and maximal strength(ES=0.57).The meta-regression revealed that training duration,training frequency,and total number of sessions completed did not predict the effects of PJT on physical fitness attributes.Subgroup analysis indicated greater improvements in older compared to younger players in horizontal jump distance(>17.15 years,ES=2.11;≤17.15 years,ES=0.10;p<0.001),linear sprint time>10 m(>16.3 years,ES=1.83;≤16.3 years,ES=0.36;p=0.010),and change-of-direction performance time≤40 m(>16.3 years,ES=1.65;≤16.3 years,ES=0.75;p=0.005).Greater increases in horizontal jump distance were apparent with>2 compared with≤2 weekly PJT sessions(ES=2.12 and ES=0.39,respectively;p<0.001).Conclusion:Data from 32 studies(28 of which demonstrate moderate-to-high methodological quality)indicate PJT improves muscle power,linear sprint speed,change-of-direction speed,balance,and muscle strength in basketball players independent of sex,age,or PJT program variables.However,the beneficial effects of PJT as measured by horizontal jump distance,linear sprint time>10 m,and change-of-direction performance time≤40 m,appear to be more evident among older basketball players.Rodrigo Ramirez-Campillo Antonio García-Hermoso Jason Moran Helmi Chaabene Yassine Negra Aaron T.Scanlan 2022Journal of Sport and Health Science2022,11,6:2

20Optimizing Cr^(3+) concentration and evaluating energy transfer from Cr^(3+) to Nd^(3+) in Cr,Nd:GGG nanocrystals prepared by sol-gel method显示文摘Nanopowder of Cr:GGG and nanopowder of Cr,Nd:GGG with different concentrations of Cr^(3+) ranging from 0.1 at.% to 1.5 at.% were synthesized by the sol-gel method using acetic acid and ethylene glycol. Thermal gravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry(TGA-DSC), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and photoluminescence spectroscopy were used to characterize the powder. The crystallite size was about 58 nm when treated at 1000 oC for 2 h. Cr^(3+) photoluminescence spectrum in GGG showed a broad band emission around 730 nm. The intensity of this band decreased when co-doped with Nd, indicating an efficient energy transfer from Cr^(3+) to Nd^(3+). Photoluminescence intensity of Nd in Cr,Nd:GGG at 1.06 μm showed that the optimum concentration of Cr^(3+) was about 1 at.%(more or less) for 1 at.% Nd^(3+). This result was also confirmed by chromium fluorescence decay rate analysis.
