1Agrobacterium-Mediated Transformation of Rice: Constraints and Possible Solutions显示文摘Genetic transformation of rice(Oryza sativa L.) by introducing beneficial traits is now a central research instrument in plant physiology and a practical tool for plant improvement. Many approaches are verified for stable introduction of foreign genes into the plant genome. The review examined the different constraints that limit the success of rice genetic transformation via Agrobacterium-mediated approach and suggested possible solutions. Explant identification, gene transfer technique and construct to tailor the integration, transgene expression without collateral to genetic damage and transformant selection are among the technical challenges affecting the rice transformation. Despite the contests, Agrobacteriummediated transformation system has been a better option for producing transgenic rice varieties because of its exact T-DNA processing and simple integration of low copy-number transgene. 2Insights in hydrodynamics of bubbling fluidized beds at elevated pressure by DEM-CFD approach显示文摘A numerical simulation was conducted to study the effect of pressure on bubble dynamics in a gas-solid fluidized bed.The gas flow was modeled using the continuum theory and the solid phase,by the dis-crete element method(DEM).To validate the simulation results,calculated local pressure fluctuations were compared with corresponding experimental data of 1-mm polyethylene particles.It was shown that the model successfully predicts the hydrodynamic features of the fluidized bed as observed in the experiments.Influence of pressure on bubble rise characteristics such as bubble rise path,bubble sta- bility,average bubbles diameter and bubble velocity through the bed was investigated.The simulation results are in conformity with current hydrodynamic theories and concepts for fluidized beds at high pressures.The results show further that elevated pressure reduces bubble growth,velocity and stability and enhances bubble gyration through the bed,leading to change in bed flow structure.Zahra Mansourpour Sedighe Karimi Reza Zarghami Navid Mostoufi Rahmat Sotudeh-Gharebagh 2010Particuology2010,8,5:5
3小搅拌针形状对搅拌摩擦焊6061铝合金显微组织和力学性能的影响(英文)显示文摘研究小搅拌针形状对6061铝合金搅拌摩擦焊接头的显微组织和力学性能的影响。采用3种不同形状的搅拌针:螺纹锥形圆柱形(T1)、三角形(T2)和正方形(T3)。结果表明:不同形状的搅拌针会显著地影响焊接接头的性能。相对于使用其他形状的搅拌针,使用三角形搅拌针能获得最好的冶金和力学焊接性能。此外,使用正方形搅拌针制备的搅拌摩擦焊接头具有最低的拉伸强度和显微硬度。更小的搅拌针形状和轴肩直径导致热影响区域变窄和一定程度的软化。断口分析结果表明,不同形状的搅拌针焊接也能影响接头。断裂面显示三角形搅拌针制备的样品在拉伸试验中以韧性断裂形式失效,而在用其他形状的搅拌针(T1和T2)制备的接头中观察到了脆性断裂。H.I.DAWOOD Kahtan S.MOHAMMED Azmi RAHMAT M.B.UDAY 2015Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2015,25,9:5
4骨头的 Immunophenotype 和区别能力从 CBA/Ca, ICR 和 Balb/c 的导出髓的间充质的干细胞老鼠显示文摘 AIM:To assess the capacity to isolate and expand mesenchymal stem cells(MSC)from bone marrow of CBA/Ca,ICR and Balb/c mice. METHODS:Bone marrow of tibia and femur were flushed,cultured and maintained in supplemented Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium.MSC immunophenotype of cultures were tracked along increasing passages for positivity to CD106,Sca-1 and CD44 and negativity to CD45,CD11b and MHC classⅡ.Differentiation capacity of MSC towards osteogenic and adipo-genic lineages were also assessed. RESULTS:MSC were successfully cultured from bone marrow of all 3 strains,albeit differences in the temporal expression of certain surface antigens.Their differentiation into osteocytes and adipocytes were also observed. MSC from all 3 mouse strains demonstrated a shift from a haematopoietic phenotype(CD106-CD45+CD11b+Sca-1low)to typical MSC phenotype(CD106+CD45-CD11b-Sca-1high)with increasing passages. 5Experimental investigation of cluster properties in dense gas-solid fluidized beds of different diameters显示文摘The local solid flow structure of a bubbling fluidized bed of sand particles was investigated in three different columns to characterize the properties of clusters.The experiments were performed using a reflective optical fiber probe.The variations in size,velocity,and void fraction of the clusters due to changes in the superficial gas velocity,particle size,and radial positions were studied.The results indicate that the velocity of the clusters remained unchanged while their size increased as the column diameter increased.In addition,the radial profile of the clusters' velocity did not depend on the radial position.The results indicate that larger particles form larger clusters,which move slower.Niloufar Firuzian Rahmat Sotudeh-Gharebagh Navid Mostoufi 2014Particuology2014,12,5:3

18Invasive European frogbit(Hydrocharis morsus-ranae L.)in North America:an updated review 2003-16显示文摘Aims European frogbit(Hydrocharis morsus-ranae L.)is an aquatic plant originating from Europe that has emerged as an invasive species,spreading in the USA and Canada since it was first brought to North America in 1932.It can now be found in many water bodies,from small ponds and long rivers to large lakes such as Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.The continuous spread of this spe-cies indicates its success as an invasive species despite legisla-tive attempts to limit its distribution.Catling et al.(Catling PM,Miltrow G,Haber E,et al.(2003)The biology of Canadian weeds.124.Hydrocharis morsus-ranae L.Can J Plant Sci 83:1001-16)wrote a thorough review about this invasive species in North America.Our review aims for a compilation of the most recent available data and recent studies on H.morsus-ranae L.and focuses primarily on its environmental uses,ecological impacts and management.The purpose of this review is to offer an organ-ized and updated report on European frogbit that can be used towards future studies with the goal of eradicating this invasive species and providing insights on management of other invasive plants.Important Findings Our findings reveal that European forgbit’s ecological effects on other species and the invaded environment were shown to be less harmful than previously feared.European frogbit had negative impacts on native plants and reduced dissolved oxygen concentration.However,water chemistry,phytoplankton and zooplankton communities were actually not affected by European frogbit.For fungi,bacteria and macroinvertebrates,studies have showed complex and sometimes conflicting results.We also specifically discussed the new method to control this species using shading and the more recent studies on biological control.Shading with a shade cloth has been shown to effectively remove European frogbit and had minor environmental effects.However,using biological control to combat the spread of the invasive frogbit seems not as successful as we wished.Bin Zhu Cora C.Ottaviani Rahmat Naddafi Zhicong Dai Daolin Du 2018Journal of Plant Ecology2018,11,1:1
