1Creative Industries Agglomeration,Regional Innovation and Productivity Growth in China显示文摘This paper falls into the broad area of economic geography and economics of creativity,and it presents an alternative approach to explain why total factor productivity(TFP)growth is different across China′s regions.It establishes an empirical model to estimate the spatial agglomeration effects of creative industries on regional TFP growth,using China′s provincial panel data during the period of 2003 to 2010.We found that the creative industries agglomeration(CIA)has significant and positive impact on regional TFP growth.The result also implies that the CIA can facilitate regional TFP growth through promoting regional innovation instead of improving regional efficiency.Therefore,we argue that policy makers should take some measures to retain and establish more creative zones.HONG Jin YU Wentao GUO Xiumei ZHAO Dingtao 2014Chinese Geographical Science2014,24,2:18

4A 3D-Bioprinted dual growth factor-releasing intervertebral disc scaffold induces nucleus pulposus and annulus fibrosus reconstruction显示文摘Regeneration of Intervertebral disc(IVD)is a scientific challenge because of the complex structure and composition of tissue,as well as the difficulty in achieving bionic function.Here,an anatomically correct IVD scaffold composed of biomaterials,cells,and growth factors were fabricated via three-dimensional(3D)bioprinting technology.Connective tissue growth factor(CTGF)and transforming growth factor-β3(TGF-β3)were loaded onto polydopamine nanoparticles,which were mixed with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)for regenerating and simulating the structure and function of the nucleus pulposus and annular fibrosus.In vitro experiments confirmed that CTGF and TGF-β3 could be released from the IVD scaffold in a spatially controlled manner,and induced the corresponding BMSCs to differentiate into nucleus pulposus like cells and annulus fibrosus like cells.Next,the fabricated IVD scaffold was implanted into the dorsum subcutaneous of nude mice.The reconstructed IVD exhibited a zone-specific matrix that displayed the corresponding histological and immunological phenotypes:primarily type II collagen and glycosaminoglycan in the core zone,and type I collagen in the surrounding zone.The testing results demonstrated that it exhibited good biomechanical function of the reconstructed IVD.The results presented herein reveal the clinical application potential of the dual growth factors-releasing IVD scaffold fabricated via 3D bioprinting.However,the evaluation in large mammal animal models needs to be further studied.Binbin Sun Meifei Lian Yu Han Xiumei Mo Wenbo Jiang Zhiguang Qiao Kerong Dai 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,1:5

7Drug-nanoencapsulated PLGA microspheres prepared by emulsion electrospray with controlled release behavior显示文摘The development of modern therapeutics has raised the requirement for controlled drug delivery system which is able to efficiently encapsulate bioactive agents and achieve their release at a desired rate satisfying the need of the practical system.In this study,two kind of aqueous model drugs with different molecule weight,Congo red and albumin from bovine serum(BSA)were nanoencapsulated in poly(DL-lactic-co-glycolic acid)(PLGA)microspheres by emulsion electrospray.In the preparation process,the aqueous phase of drugs was added into the PLGA chloroform solution to form the emulsion solution.The emulsion was then electrosprayed to fabricate drugnanoencapsulated PLGA microspheres.The morphology of the PLGA microspheres was affected by the volume ratio of aqueous drug phase and organic PLGA phase(V_(w)/V_(o))and the molecule weight of model drugs.Confocal laser scanning microcopy showed the nanodroplets of drug phase were scattered in the PLGA microspheres homogenously with different distribution patterns related to V_(w)/V_(o).With the increase of the volume ratio of aqueous drug phase,the number of nanodroplets increased forming continuous phase gradually that could accelerate drug release rate.Moreover,BSA showed a slower release rate from PLGA microspheres comparing to Congo red,which indicated the drug release rate could be affected by not only V_(w)/V_(o)but also the molecule weight of model drug.In brief,the PLGA microspheres prepared using emulsion electrospray provided an efficient and simple systemto achieve controlled drug release at a desired rate satisfying the need of the practices.Shenglian Yao Huiying Liu Shukui Yu Yuanyuan Li Xiumei Wang Luning Wang 2016Regenerative Biomaterials2016,3,5:5

10Gene expression profiling and mechanism study of neural stem cells response to surface chemistry显示文摘To declare the mechanisms of neural stem cells(NSCs)in response to material surface chemistry,NSCs were exposed to the self-assemble monolayers of alkanethiolates on gold surfaces terminated with amine(NH2),hydroxyl(OH)and methyl(CH3)for analysis.The morphological responses of NSCs were recorded;the gene expression profilings were detected by genechips;the gene expressions data of NSCs responded to different chemical groups were declared through the gene ontology term and pathway analyses.It showed that cells behaved dissimilar on the three chemical groups,the adhesion,proliferation and migration were easier on the NH2 and OH groups;the gene expressions of NSCs were induced differently,either,involved in several functional processes and signaling pathways.CH3 group induced genes enriched much in chemistry reactions and death processes,whereas many genes of cellular nucleotide metabolism were down-regulated.NH2 group induced NSCs to express many genes of receptors on membrane,and participated in cellular signal transduction of cell adhesion and interactions,or associated with axon growth.OH group was similar to NH2 group to induce the membrane response,but it also down regulated metabolism of cells.Therefore,it declared the chemical groups affected NSCs through inner way and the NH2,OH and CH3 groups triggered the cellular gene expression in different signaling pathways.Ying Wang Shenglian Yao Qingyuan Meng Xiaolong Yu Xiumei Wang Fuzhai Cui 2014Regenerative Biomaterials2014,1,1:4
11Multifunctional bioactive core-shell electrospun membrane capable to terminate inflammatory cycle and promote angiogenesis in diabetic wound显示文摘Diabetic wound(DW)healing is a major clinical challenge due to multifactorial complications leading to prolonged inflammation.Electrospun nanofibrous(NF)membranes,due to special structural features,are promising biomaterials capable to promote DW healing through the delivery of active agents in a controlled manner.Herein,we report a multifunctional composite NF membrane loaded with ZnO nanoparticles(NP)and oregano essential oil(OEO),employing a new loading strategy,capable to sustainedly co-deliver bioactive agents.Physicochemical characterization revealed the successful fabrication of loaded nanofibers with strong in vitro anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant activities.Furthermore,in vivo wound healing confirmed the potential of bioactive NF membranes in epithelialization and granulation tissue formation.The angiogenesis was greatly prompted by the bioactive NF membranes through expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF).Moreover,the proposed NF membrane successfully terminated the inflammatory cycle by downregulating the pro-inflammatory cytokines interleukin��6(IL-6)and matrix metalloproteinases-9(MMP-9).In vitro and in vivo studies revealed the proposed NF membrane is a promising dressing material for the healing of DW.Atta ur Rehman Khan Kai Huang Mina Shahriari Khalaji Fan Yu Xianrui Xie Tonghe Zhu Yosry Morsi Zhao Jinzhong Xiumei Mo 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,9:3

13Inter-Operator Interference Coordination for CoPrimary Spectrum Sharing in UDN显示文摘Co-primary spectrum sharing for multiple operators has been utilized to fully explore the spectrum resources and thus improve the spectrum efficiency. The inter-operator interference(IOI) problem should be seriously considered in order to achieve the mentioned target, especially under the scenario of the ultradense network(UDN) in the fifth generation(5G) wireless systems. To solve this problem, we propose an asymmetrical power levels based soft IOI coordination mechanism. The shared spectrum pool is consisted of three separated parts, where each part can be dynamically adjusted according to the minimal spectrum demand from each operator. Furthermore, different power masks are configured to different parts for each operator. 15LHCGR and ALMS1 defects likely cooperate in the development of polycystic ovary syndrome indicated by double-mutant mice显示文摘Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)is a heterogeneous disorder with evidence of polygenetic components,and obesity may be a risk factor for hyperandrogen ism.Previous studies have shown that LHCGR is en riched in the ovary and LHCGR deficiency causes infertility without typical PCOS phenotypes.ALMS1 is implicated in obesity and hyperandrogenism,the common phenotypes among PCOS patients.Through whole-exome sequencing of 22 PCOS families and targeted candidate gene sequencing of additional 65 sporadic PCOS patients,we identified potential causative mutations in LHCGR and ALMS1 in a sibling-pair PCOS family and three sporadic PCOS patients.The expression of LHCGRL638 P in granulosa-like tumor cell line(KGN)cells promoted cyclic adenosine monophosphate production and granulosa cell proliferation,indicating that LHCGRL638 P is an activating mutation.Lhcgr~(L642 P/L642 P)mice showed an irregular estrous cycle,reduced follicles with dynamic folliculogenesis,and increased testosterone(T),estradiol(E2),and dehydroepiandrosterone.Lhcgr~(+/L642 P)AIms1~(+/PB)mice displayed increased T and E2 but decreased late secondary and preovulatory follicles.We showed that activating mutation of LHCGR likely plays important roles in the pathophysiology of PCOS involving abnormal reproductive physiology,whereas ALMS1 deficiency may promote anovulatory infertility via elevated androgens,suggesting that the disturbed LHCGR and ALMS1 cooperatively induce PCOS phenotypes,characterized as anovulation and hyperandrogenemia frequently observed in PCOS patients with obesity.Li Yu Lina Wang Wufan Tao Wenxiang Zhang Shuanghao Yang Jian Wang Jia Fei Rui Peng Yiming Wu Xiumei Zhen Hong Shao Weiyue Gu Rong Li Bai-Lin Wu Hongyan Wang 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,5:3
