| 5 | A Kinase-Phosphatase-Transcription Factor Module Regulates Adventitious Root Emergence in Arabidopsis Root-Hypocotyl Junctions显示文摘Adventitious roots form from non-root tissues as part of normal development or in response to stress or wounding. The root primordia form in the source tissue, and during emergence the adventitious roots penetrate the inner cell layers and the epidermis;however, the mechanisms underlying this emergence remain largely unexplored. Here,we report that a regulatory module composed of the AP2/ERF transcription factor ABSCISIC ACID INSENSITIVE 4(ABI4),the MAP kinases MPK3 and MPK6,and the phosphatase PP2C12 plays an important role in the emergence of junction adventitious roots(J-ARs)from the root-hypocotyl junctions in Arabidopsis thaliana.ABI4 negatively regulates J-AR emergence, preventing the accumulation of reactive oxygen species and death of epidermal cells, which would otherwise facilitate J-AR emergence.Phosphorylation by MPK3/MPK6 activates ABI4 and dephosphorylation by PP2C12 inactivates ABI4.MPK3/MPK6 also directly phosphorylate and inactivate PP2C12 during J-AR emergence. We propose that this'double-check'mechanism increases the robustness of MAP kinase signaling and finely regulates the local programmed cell death required for J-AR emergence. | Zechen Bai Jing Zhang Xin Ning Hailong Guo Xiumei Xu Xiahe Huang Yingchun Wang Zhubing Hu Congming Lu Lixin Zhang Wei Chi | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,8: | 1 |

| 8 | Screening of protease-producing marine yeasts for production of the bioactive peptides显示文摘Over 400 yeast strains from seawater and sediments were obtained, but only five strains named HN2-3, N13d, N13C, Mb5 and HN3-2 among them could form clear zones around their colonies on the double plates with 2.0% casein. Peptides in the hydrolysate produced by the proteases from strains HN2-3 and N13d had higher angiotensin I-converting-enzyme (ACE)-inhibitory activity. The two marine yeast strains were identified to be Aureobasidium pullulans according to the results of routine yeast identification and molecular methods. After purification of the proteases from the two marine yeast strains, it was found that the optimal pH for them was both 9.0, both of them were serine alkaline protease. However, the optimal temperature for the protease from the strain HN2-3 was 52℃ while that from strain N13d was 48℃. ACE-inhibitory activity of the peptides in the hydrolysate of shrimp protein produced by the purified protease from the strain HN2-3 was the highest while antioxidant activity in the hydrolysate of spirulina protein produced by the purified protease from the strain N13d was the highest. | NI Xiumei CHI Zhenming LIU Zhiqiang YUE Lixi | 2008 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2008,27,2: | 1 |

| 12 | The effect of different cancer therapies on clinical outcomes of assisted reproductive technology in breast cancer patients显示文摘Objective To evaluate the clinical outcomes of assisted reproductive technology(ART)on fertility preservation and infertility treatment in breast cancer patients who had undergone different cancer therapies. Methods 20 infertile females who had undergone breast cancer treatments during 2011–2018 were studied retrospectively. The patients were divided into two groups based on their cancer treatment methods and their needs of fertility preservation:the combined treatment group, who had both breast cancer surgery combining with any of the three treatments(adjuvant endocrine therapy, radiotherapy or chemotherapy),and the surgery only group.A group of infertile females without breast cancer history were used as a control group. An aromatase inhibitor Letrozole-based ovarian micro-stimulation protocol was used in females from the three groups for in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer. The ART clinical outcomes were evaluated by using the parameters of antral follicle count(AFC),the ratio of FSH/LH,oocyte retrieval number,2 pronucleus(2 PN)fertilization rate,high-quality embryo rate, clinical pregnancy rate, and delivery outcome. Results The surgery only group had significantly lower ratio of FSH/LH than the combined treatment group and the control group. No significant difference on the ART clinical outcomes, evaluated by the aforementioned criteria, were found between the three groups. Conclusions Breast cancer surgery with adjuvant therapies, but not surgery alone, may damage ovarian function. The best time-limited window to preserve fertility for breast cancer patients is after surgery but before the initiation of adjuvant therapies.Importantly, the clinical outcomes of aromatase inhibitor-based ovary micro-stimulation in breast cancer patients are similar to that in non-breast cancer controls. | Mengmeng Zhang Xueling Song Caihong Ma Xiumei Zhen Hongbin Chi Xiaowei Zhang Rong Li Jie Yan Jie Qiao | 2021 | Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinical Medicine2021,1,1: | 0 |
| 13 | The DELLA-ABI4-HY5 module integrates light and gibberellin signals to regulate hypocotyl elongation显示文摘Plant growth is coordinately controlled by various environmental and hormonal signals,of which light and gibberellin(GA)signals are two critical factors with opposite effects on hypocotyl elongation.Although interactions between the light and GA signaling pathways have been studied extensively, the detailed regulatory mechanism of their direct crosstalk in hypocotyl elongation remains to be fully clarified.Previously,we reported that ABA INSENSITIVE 4(ABI4)controls hypocotyl elongation through its regulation of cellelongation-related genes, but whether it is also involved in GA signaling to promote hypocotyl elongation is unknown. In this study,we showthat promotion of hypocotyl elongation by GA is dependent on ABI4 activation.DELLAs interact directly with ABI4 and inhibit its DNA-binding activity. In turn,ABI4 combined with ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5(HY5),a key positive factor in light signaling, feedback regulates the expression of the GA2ox GA catabolism genes and thus modulates GA levels.Taken together, our results suggest that the DELLA-ABI4-HY5 module may serve as a molecular link that integrates GA and light signals to control hypocotyl elongation. | Haibo Xiong Dandan Lu Zhiyuan Li Jianghao Wu Xin Ning Weijun Lin Zechen Bai Canhui Zheng Yang Sun Wei Chi Lixin Zhang Xiumei Xu | 2023 | Plant Communications2023,4,5: | 0 |
