| 2 | Energy balance closure at ChinaFLUX sites显示文摘Network of eddy covariance observation is measuring long-term carbon and water fluxes in contrasting ecosystems and climates. As one important reference of independently evaluating scalar flux estimates from eddy covariance, energy balance closure is used widely in study of carbon and water fluxes. Energy balance closure in ChinaFLUX was evaluated by statistical regression of turbulent energy fluxes (sensible and latent heat) against available energy (net radiation, soil heat flux, canopy heat storage) and the energy balance ratio (EBR) and the frequency distribution of relative errors of energy balance (δ). The trends of diurnal and seasonal variation of energy balance in ChinaFLUX were analyzed. The results indicated that the imbalance was prevalent in all observation sites, but there were little differences among sites because of the properties variation of sites. The imbalance was greater during nocturnal periods than daytime and closure was improved with friction velocity intensifying. Generally the results suggested that estimates of the scalar turbulent fluxes of sensible and latent heat were underestimated and/or that available energy was overestimated. | 6 | Isolation and characterization of dengue virus serotype 2 from the large dengue outbreak in Guangdong, China in 2014显示文摘Dengue has been well recognized as a global public health threat,but only sporadic epidemics and imported cases were reported in recent decades in China.Since July 2014,an unexpected large dengue outbreak has occurred in Guangdong province,China,resulting in more than 40000 patients including six deaths.To clarify and characterize the causative agent of this outbreak,the acute phase serum from a patient diagnosed with severe dengue was subjected to virus isolation and high-throughput sequencing(HTS).Traditional real-time RT-PCR and HTS with Ion Torrent PGM detected the presence of dengue virus serotype 2(DENV-2).A clinical DENV-2 isolate GZ05/2014 was obtained by culturing the patient serum in mosquito C6/36 cells.The complete genome of GZ05/2014 was determined and deposited in Gen Bank under the access number KP012546.Phylogenetic analysis based on the complete envelope gene showed that the newly DENV-2 isolate belonged to Cosmopolitan genotype and clustered closely with other Guangdong strains isolated in the past decade.No amino acid mutations that are obviously known to increase virulence or replication were identified throughout the genome of GZ05/2014.The high homology of Guangdong DENV-2 strains indicated the possibility of establishment of local DENV-2 circulation in Guangdong,China.These results help clarify the origin of this epidemic and predict the future status of dengue in China. | ZHAO Hui ZHAO Ling Zhai JIANG Tao LI Xiao Feng FAN Hang HONG Wen Xin ZHANG Yu ZHU Qin YE Qing TONG Yi Gang CAO Wu Chun ZHANG Fu Chun QIN Cheng Feng | 2014 | Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,12: | 21 |

| 8 | Wheat, maize and sunflower cropping systems selectively influence bacteria community structure and diversity in their and succeeding crop's rhizosphere显示文摘Wheat and maize are increasingly used as alternative crops to sunflower monocultures that dominate the Hetao Irrigation District in China.Shifts from sunflower monocultures to alternate cropping systems may have significant effects on belowground microbial communities which control nutrient cycling and influence plant productivity.In this research,rhizosphere bacterial communities were compared among sunflower,wheat and maize cropping systems by 454 pyrosequencing.These cropping systems included 2 years wheat(cultivar Yongliang 4) and maize(cultivar Sidan 19) monoculture,more than 20 years sunflower(cultivar 5009) monoculture,and wheat-sunflower and maize-sunflower rotation.In addition,we investigated rhizosphere bacterial communities of healthy and diseased plants at maturity to determine the relationship between plant health and rotation effect.The results revealed taxonomic information about the overall bacterial community.And significant differences in bacterial community structure were detected among these cropping systems.Eight of the most abundant groups including Proteobacteria,Bacteroidetes,Acidobacteria,Gemmatimonadetes,Chloroflexi,Actinobacteria,Planctomycetes and Firmicutes accounted for more than 85%of the sequences in each treatment.The wheat-wheat rhizosphere had the highest proportion of Acidobacteria,Bacteroidetes and the lowest proportion of unclassified bacteria.Wheat-sunflower cropping system showed more abundant Acidobacteria than maize-sunflower and sunflower monoculture,exhibiting some influences of wheat on the succeeding crop.Maize-maize rhizosphere had the highest proportion of γ-Proteobacteria,Pseudomonadales and the lowest proportion of Acidobacteria.Sunflower rotation with wheat and maize could increase the relative abundance of the Acidobacteria while decrease the relative abundance of the unclassified phyla,as was similar with the health plants.This suggests some positive impacts of rotation with wheat and maize on the bacterial communities within a single field.These results demonstrate that different crop rotation systems can have significant effects on rhizosphere microbiomes that potentially alter plant productivities in agricultural systems. | WEN Xin-ya Eric Dubinsky WU Yao YU Rong CHEN Fu | 2016 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2016,15,8: | 18 |

| 18 | Serum levels of mi RNA in patients with hepatitis B virus-associated acute-on-chronic liver failure显示文摘Background: Hepatitis B virus(HBV)-associated acute-on-chronic liver failure(HBV-ACLF) is a lifethreatening condition and its exact pathophysiology and progression remain unclear. The present study aimed to assess the role of serum mi RNAs in the evaluation of HBV-ACLF and to develop a model to predict the outcomes for ACLF.Methods: Serum was collected from 41 chronic hepatitis B and 55 HBV-ACLF patients in addition to30 chronic asymptomatic HBV carriers as controls. The mi RNAs expressions were measured by real-time quantitative PCR(q-PCR). Statistical analyses were conducted to assess the ability of differentially expressed mi RNAs and other prognostic factors in identifying ACLF prognosis and to develop a new predictive model.Results: Real-time q-PCR indicated that serum miR-146 a-5 p, mi R-122-3 p and mi R-328-3 p levels were significantly upregulated in ACLF patients compared to chronic hepatitis B and chronic asymptomatic HBV carriers patients. In addition, multivariate regression analyses indicated that Na+, INR, gastrointestinal bleeding and mi R-122-3 p are all independent factors that are reliable and sensitive to the prognosis of HBV-ACLF. Therefore, we developed a new model for the prediction of HBV-ACLF disease state: Y = 0.402 × Na+-1.72 × INR-4.963 × gastrointestinal bleeding(Yes = 0; No = 1)-0.278 ×(mi R-122-3 p) + 50.449. | 20 | Protective effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in intestinal barrier permeability after heterotopic intestinal transplantation显示文摘AIM:To explore the protective effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BM MSCs)in the small intestinal mucosal barrier following heterotopic intestinal transplantation(HIT)in a rat model.METHODS:BM MSCs were isolated from male Lewis rats by density gradient centrifugation,cultured,and analyzed by flow cytometry.The HIT models were divided into a non-rejection group,saline-treated rejection group(via penile vein),and BM MSC–treated group(via penile vein).Intestinal mucosal barrier injury was estimated by diamine oxidase(DAO)and D-lactic acid(D-LA)expression levels.Tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interferon-γ(INF-γ),interleukin-10(IL-10),and transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Ultrastructural change of tight junctions(TJs)was observed under transmission electron microscope.Expression levels of the TJ proteins occludin and zona occludens(ZO)-1,affected by the inflammatory factors,were measured using real-time polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting.RESULTS:The pathological score at each time point after surgery indicated significantly less serious injury in the BM MSCs-treated group than in the rejection group(P<0.05).In the former,graft levels of DAO and D-LA were reduced,and TNF-αand INF-γproduction was inhibited(at day 7:10.6473±0.0710vs 17.2128±0.4991,P<0.05;545.1506±31.9416vs 810.2637±25.1175,P<0.05).IL-10 and TGF-βproduction was increased greatly(at day 7:125.7773±4.7719 vs 80.3756±2.5866,P<0.05;234.5273±9.3980 vs 545.1506±31.9416,P<0.05).There was increased expression of occludin and ZO-1 protein(at day 7:0.2674±0.0128 vs 0.1352±0.0142,P<0.05;at day 5:0.7189±0.0289 vs 0.4556±0.0242,P<0.05)and mRNA(at day 7:0.3860±0.0254 vs 0.1673±0.0369,P<0.05;at day 5:0.5727±0.0419 vs0.3598±0.0242,P<0.05).CONCLUSION:BM MSCs can improve intestinal barrier permeability,repair TJs,and increase occludin and ZO-1 protein expression.With altered cytokine levels,they can protect the intestinal mucosa after transplantation. | Wen Zhang Zhong-Yang Shen Hong-Li Song Yang Yang Ben-Juan Wu Nan-Nan Fu Tao Liu | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,23: | 12 |
