1忆阻器阻变随机存取存储器及其在信息存储中的应用显示文摘忆阻器具有依赖于激励历史的动态电阻,可以用来构造少晶体管的非易失性半导体存储器(NVSM),也称为阻变随机存取存储器(RRAM).本文提出了一种基于忆阻器的阻变随机存取存储器(MRRAM)——可与现代计算系统相兼容的纳米级二值存储器实现方案,其结构与静态随机存取存储器(SRAM)类似,但用忆阻器替代基本RS触发器存储信息.在此基础上,通过改进该MRRAM,可以实现在一个存储单元中存储多比特信息(以灰度级形式)的多值存储器,大大提高了存储密度.给出的计算机仿真和数值分析验证了本方案在存储ASCII字符和图像中的有效性,探讨了灰度图像存储的新方法.段书凯 胡小方 王丽丹 李传东 MAZUMDER Pinaki 2012中国科学:信息科学2012,42,6:14
2Adoption of precision agriculture technologies in India and in some developing countries:Scope,present status and strategies显示文摘Rapid socio-economic changes in some developing countries, including India, are creating new scopes for application of precision agriculture (PA). The implications of dramatic shifts for economic development, urbanization and energy consumption in some developing countries are immense. High-tech nature of traditional PA technologies developed in advanced countries created a real challenge for engineers to search suitable PA technologies for developing countries. It is expected that application of balanced soft and hard PA technologies based on the need of specific socio-economic condition of a country will make PA suitable for developing countries also. ‘Soft' PA depends mainly on visual observation of crop and soil and management decision based on experience and intuition, rather than on statistical and scientific analysis. ‘Hard' PA utilizes all modern technologies such as GPS, RS, and VRT. Three components, namely, ‘single PA technology', ‘PA technology package' (for the user to select one or combination) and ‘integrated PA technology', have been identified as a part of adoption strategies of PA in the developing countries. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to find out the scope, the present status and the strategies for adoption of PA in India and in some developing countries. Application of PA in cash crop, plantation crop, etc. has been discussed. Application of some medium and low-tech PA tools such as chlorophyll meter and leaf colour chart. in small farms has been included. This exhaustive review of the present status of PA in India and in some developing countries is expected to help to find out the adoption trend and direction of future research. 3Probiotic bacteria change Escherichia coli-induced gene expression in cultured colonocytes:Implications in intestinal pathophysiology显示文摘AIM: To investigate the change in eukaryotic gene expression profile in Caco-2 cells after infection with strains of Escherichia coli and commensal probiotic bacteria. METHODS: A 19 200 gene/expressed sequence tag gene chip was used to examine expression of genes after infection of Caco-2 cells with strains of normal flora E. coli,Lactobacillus plantarum,and a combination of the two. RESULTS: The cDNA microarray revealed up-regulation of 155 and down-regulation of 177 genes by E. coli . L. plantarum up-regulated 45 and down-regulated 36 genes. During mixed infection,27 genes were up-regulated and 59 were down-regulated,with nullification of stimulatory/inhibitory effects on most of the genes. Expression of several new genes was noted in this group. CONCLUSION: The commensal bacterial strains used in this study induced the expression of a large number of genes in colonocyte-like cultured cells and changed the expression of several genes involved in important cellular processes such as regulation of transcription,protein biosynthesis,metabolism,cell adhesion,ubiquitination,and apoptosis. 4Memristor-based RRAM with applications显示文摘Recently acclaimed the fourth fundamental circuit element,the memristor was theoretically pre-dicted by Leon Chua in 1971,although its single device electronic implementation eluded the attention of inte-grated circuit designers for the past three decades and was first reported in 2008 by the Hewlett-Packard (HP) Laboratory researchers while developing crossbar-based ultra high-density nonvolatile memories.Memristor-based hybrid nanoscale CMOS technology is expected not only to impact the flash memory industries pro-foundly,but also to revolutionize digital and neuromorphic computing.The memristor exhibits a dynamical resistance state that depends on its excitation history and which can be exploited to build transistor-less non-volatile semiconductor memory (NVSM),commonly known as resistive RAM (RRAM).This paper addresses an implementation scheme for memristor-based resistive random access memory (MRRAM),a nano-scale binary memory that is compatible with modern computer systems.Its structure is similar to that of static random ac-cess memory (SRAM),but with the memristor replacing the underlying RS flip-flop.By improving the MRRAM,we propose a multilevel memory with greater data density,which stores multiple bit information in gray-scale form in a memory unit.Reported computer simulations and numerical analyses verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme in storing ASCII characters and gray-scale images in binary format.DUAN ShuKai HU XiaoFang WANG LiDan LI ChuanDong MAZUMDER Pinaki 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,6:9
5Naringin ameliorates acetic acid induced colitis through modulation of endogenous oxido-nitrosative balance and DNA damage in rats显示文摘The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of naringin on experimentally induced inflammatory bowel disease in rats.Naringin(20,40 and 80 mg/kg) was given orally for 7 days to Wistar rats before induction of colitis by intrarectal instillation of 2 mL of 4%(v/v) acetic acid solution.The degree of colonic mucosal damage was analyzed by examining mucosal damage,ulcer area,ulcer index and stool consistency.Intrarectal administration of 4%acetic acid resulted in significant modulation of serum alkaline phosphatase,lactate dehydrogenase,superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione(GSH),malondialdehyde(MDA) and myeloperoxidase(MPO) content along with colonic nitric oxide(NO),xanthine oxidase(XO) level and protein carbonyl content in the colonic tissue as well as in blood.Naringin(40 and 80 mg/kg) exerted a dose dependent(P < 0.05) ameliorative effect,as it significantly increased hematological parameter as well as colonic SOD and GSH.There was a significant(P < 0.05)and dose dependant inhibition of macroscopical score,ulcer area along with colonic MDA,MPO activity by the7 days of pretreatment of naringin(40 and 80 mg/kg).Biochemical studies revealed a significant(P < 0.05) dose dependant inhibition in serum alkaline phosphatase(ALP) and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) levels by pretreatment of naringin.Increased levels of colonic NO,XO,protein carbonyl content and DNA damage were also significantly decreased by naringin pretreatment.The findings of the present investigation propose that naringin has an anti-inflammatory,anti-oxidant and anti-apoptotic potential effect at colorectal sites as it modulates the production and expression of oxidative mediators such as MDA,MPO,NO and XO,thus reducing DNA damage.Venkatashivam Shiva Kumar Anuchandra Ramchandra Rajmane Mohammad Adil Amit Dattatraya Kandhare Pinaki Ghosh Subhash Laxman Bodhankar 2014The Journal of Biomedical Research2014,28,2:8
6Synthesis and antiviral bioactivities of novel chiral bis-thiourea-type derivatives containing α-aminophosphonate moiety显示文摘Starting from 1-((1R,2R)-2-aminocyclohexyl)-3-substituted thioureas (3a–c) and substituted isothiocyanates (9a–d),chiral bis-thiourea derivatives containing α-aminophosphonate moiety 10a–l were prepared and completely characterized by elemental analysis,physical and spectral (IR,1H NMR,13C NMR,31P NMR) data.The results of bioassay revealed that compounds 10a and 10e possessed appreciable curative bioactivities on cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) at 0.5 mg/mL in vivo (inhibitory rate = 60.3%,64.8% respectively) and tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) at 0.5 mg/mL in vivo (inhibitory rate = 50.3%,50.8% respectively),which were comparable to the values shown by standard reference (58.7%) and commercial product Ningnanmycin (56.3%),respectively.Chiral compound 10e displayed more potent antiviral activity (EC50 = 0.149 mg/mL) than Ningnanmycin (EC50 = 0.201mg/mL) against CMV.YANG Xuan SONG BaoAn JIN LinHong WEI Xue BHADURY S Pinaki LI XiangYang YANG Song HU DeYu 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,1:5
7A brief survey of computerized expert systems for crop protection being used in India显示文摘In the recent years, a plethora of computerized expert systems has been developed for various sectors of agriculture in India. The availability of low-cost computers, agricultural knowledge and information technology professionals are the principal reasons for the development of so many agricultural expert systems. Among all agricultural expert systems, the expert systems for crop protection need special mention. These expert systems are meant to be used by farmers and other persons without much experience of using computers. Hence, special care must be taken while developing them. 8Effect of hydroalcoholic extract of Hibiscus rosa sinensis Linn.leaves in experimental colitis in rats显示文摘Objective:To elucidate the ameliorative effect of liydrualcuholic extract of leaves of Hibiscus rosa sinensis(HRS) in acetic acid induced experimental colitis in male wistar rats.Methods: The animals were administered with 2 mL acetic acid(4%) via intra rectal.The animals were divided into various treatment groups(n=6).Prednisolone was used as standard drug and HRS was administered at a dose of 50,100 and 200 mg/kg p.o.The control group of animals received 1 mL of vehicle(distilled water).Ulcer area,ulcer index,spleen weight,colon weight to length ratio, macroscopic score,haemalological parameters,colonic superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione(GSH),myeloperoxidase(MPO),malondialdchyde(MDA),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNK- α), nitric oxide(NO) and histological changes were recorded after the treatment regimen of 11 days. 19Real-time programmable metasurface for terahertz multifunctional wave front engineering显示文摘Terahertz(THz)technologies have become a focus of research in recent years due to their prominent role in envisioned future communication and sensing systems.One of the key challenges facing the field is the need for tools to enable agile engineering of THz wave fronts.Here,we describe a reconfigurable metasurface based on GaN technology with an array-of-subarrays architecture.This subwavelength-spaced array,under the control of a 1-bit digital coding sequence,can switch between an enormous range of possible configurations,providing facile access to nearly arbitrary wave front control for signals near 0.34 THz.We demonstrate wide-angle beam scanning with 1°of angular precision over 70 GHz of bandwidth,as well as the generation of multi-beam and diffuse wave fronts,with a switching speed up to 100 MHz.This device,offering the ability to rapidly reconfigure a propagating wave front for beam-forming or diffusively scattered wide-angle coverage of a scene,will open new realms of possibilities in sensing,imaging,and networking.Feng Lan Luyang Wang Hongxin Zeng Shixiong Liang Tianyang Song Wenxin Liu Pinaki Mazumder Ziqiang Yang Yaxin Zhang Daniel M.Mittleman 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,9:1
