Naringin ameliorates acetic acid induced colitis through modulation of endogenous oxido-nitrosative balance and DNA damage in rats显示文摘The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of naringin on experimentally induced inflammatory bowel disease in rats.Naringin(20,40 and 80 mg/kg) was given orally for 7 days to Wistar rats before induction of colitis by intrarectal instillation of 2 mL of 4%(v/v) acetic acid solution. The degree of colonic mucosal damage was analyzed by examining mucosal damage, ulcer area, ulcer index and stool consistency.Intrarectal administration of 4%acetic acid resulted in significant modulation of serum alkaline phosphatase, lactate dehydrogenase, superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione(GSH),malondialdehyde(MDA) and myeloperoxidase(MPO) content along with colonic nitric oxide(NO),xanthine oxidase(XO) level and protein carbonyl content in the colonic tissue as well as in blood.Naringin(40 and 80 mg/kg) exerted a dose dependent(P < 0.05) ameliorative effect,as it significantly increased hematological parameter as well as colonic SOD and GSH.There was a significant(P < 0.05)and dose dependant inhibition of macroscopical score, ulcer area along with colonic MDA,MPO activity by the7 days of pretreatment of naringin(40 and 80 mg/kg).Biochemical studies revealed a significant(P < 0.05) dose dependant inhibition in serum alkaline phosphatase(ALP) and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) levels by pretreatment of naringin.Increased levels of colonic NO,XO,protein carbonyl content and DNA damage were also significantly decreased by naringin pretreatment. The findings of the present investigation propose that naringin has an anti-inflammatory,anti-oxidant and anti-apoptotic potential effect at colorectal sites as it modulates the production and expression of oxidative mediators such as MDA,MPO,NO and XO,thus reducing DNA damage.Venkatashivam Shiva Kumar Anuchandra Ramchandra Rajmane Mohammad Adil Amit Dattatraya Kandhare Pinaki Ghosh Subhash Laxman Bodhankar 2014The Journal of Biomedical Research2014,28,2:8

Changing trends in prevalence of different Plasmodium species with dominance of Plasmodium falciparum malaria infection in Aligarh(India)显示文摘Objective:To determine the prevalence of malaria in Aligarh and analyze species dominance in different years over a decade. Methods:Diagnosis of malaria was done using microscopy as gold standard, rapid antigen detection assays and quantitative buffy coat(QBC) assays.Giemsa stained blood smear examination was done, thick and thin films were examined for presence of different Plasmodium spp.Rapid antigen detection assays employing detection of HRP-2 and parasite lactate dehydrogenase antigen(pLDH) by immunochromatography was done in patients whose blood smear found to be negative by conventional Giemsa slide examination.QBC was done in cases where there is strong clinical suspicion of malaria with blood smear negative,in patients with chronic malaria, splenomegaly,or in those patients who had inadequate treatment and for post-treatment follow up.Results:Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium falciparum were only species detected in our hospital.Overall prevalence of malaria in Aligarh was found to be 8.8%.The maximum prevalence of 20.1%was observed in year 2008 and lowest 2.3%in 2002. Conclusions:High prevalence of malaria is observed in this part of country with dominance of both species particularly Plasmodium falciparum should be monitored and factors accounting for occurrence should be studied to employ effective control measures.Haris M Khan Fatima Shujatullah Mohammad Ashfaq Adil Raza 2011Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2011,4,1:1

Hybrid Computational Modeling for Web Application Security Assessment显示文摘Transformation from conventional business management systems to smart digital systems is a recurrent trend in the current era. This has led to digital revolution, and in this context, the hardwired technologies in the software industry play a significant role However, from the beginning, software security remains a serious issue for all levels of stakeholders.Software vulnerabilities lead to intrusions that cause data breaches and result in disclosure of sensitive data, compromising the organizations’reputation that translates into, financial losses as well. Most of the data breaches are financially motivated, especially in the healthcare sector. The cyber invaders continuously penetrate the E-Health data because of the high cost of the data on the dark web. Therefore, security assessment of healthcare web-based applications demands immediate intervention mechanisms to weed out the threats of cyber-attacks.The aim of this work is to provide efficient and effective healthcare web application security assessment. The study has worked with the hybrid computational model of Multi-Criteria Decision Making(MCDM)based on Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP)and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal-Solutions(TOPSIS)under the Hesitant Fuzzy(HF)environment.Hesitant fuzzy sets provide effective solutions to address decision making problems where experts counter hesitation to make a decision. The proposed research endeavor will support designers and developers in identifying, selecting and prioritizing the best security attributes for web applications’development. The empirical analysis concludes that Robustness got highest priority amongst the assessed security attributes set followed by Encryption,Authentication,Limit Access,Revoke Access,Data Validation, and Maintain Audit Trail. The results of this research endeavor depict that this proposed computational procedure would be the most conversant mechanism for determining the web application security. The study also establishes guidelines which the developers can refer for the identification and prioritization of security attributes to build more secure and trustworthy web-based applications.Adil Hussain Seh Jehad F.Al-Amri Ahmad F.Subahi Md Tarique Jamal Ansari Rajeev Kumar Mohammad Ubaidullah Bokhari Raees Ahmad Khan 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,1:1
Automated Brain Hemorrhage Classification and Volume Analysis显示文摘Brain hemorrhage is a serious and life-threatening condition. It cancause permanent and lifelong disability even when it is not fatal. The wordhemorrhage denotes leakage of blood within the brain and this leakage ofblood from capillaries causes stroke and adequate supply of oxygen to thebrain is hindered. Modern imaging methods such as computed tomography(CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are employed to get an idearegarding the extent of the damage. An early diagnosis and treatment can savelives and limit the adverse effects of a brain hemorrhage. In this case, a deepneural network (DNN) is an effective choice for the early identification andclassification of brain hemorrhage for the timely recovery and treatment of anaffected person. In this paper, the proposed research work is divided into twonovel approaches, where, one for the classification and the other for volumecalculation of brain hemorrhage. Two different datasets are used for twodifferent techniques classification and volume. A novel algorithm is proposedto calculate the volume of hemorrhage using CT scan images. In the firstapproach, the ‘RSNA’ dataset is used to classify the brain hemorrhage typesusing transfer learning and achieved an accuracy of 93.77%. Furthermore,in the second approach, a novel algorithm has been proposed to calculate thevolume of brain hemorrhage and achieved tremendous results as 1035.91mm3and 9.25 cm3, using the PhysioNet CT scan tomography dataset.Maryam Wardah Muhammad Mateen Tauqeer Safdar Malik Mohammad Eid Alzahrani Adil Fahad Abdulmohsen Almalawi Rizwan Ali Naqvi 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,4:0
Processed Radio Frequency towards Pancreas Enhancing the Deadly Diabetes Worldwide显示文摘Diabetes is a chronic and debilitating disease, which is associated with a range of complications putting tremendous burden on medical, economic and socio-technological infrastructure globally.Yet the higher authorities of health services are facing the excruciating cumulative reasons of diabetes as a very imperative worldwide issue in the 21st century. The study aims to relook at the misapplication of the processed radio frequency that frailties in the pancreas within and around the personal body boundary area. The administered sensor data were obtained at laboratory experiments from the selected specimens on dogs and cats in light and dark environments. The study shows the frequent urine flow speed varies with sudden infection due to treated wireless sensor networks in active open eyes. The overweight and obese persons are increasingly affected in diabetes with comprehensive urinary pressure due to continuous staying at dark environment. The findings replicate the increasing tide of diabetes globally. The study also represents the difficulties of physicians to provide adequate diabetic management according to their expectancy due to insecure personal area network control unit.Dynamic sensor network is indispensable for healthcare but such network is at risk to health security due to digitalized poisoning within GPS positions. The study recommends the anti-radiation integrated system policy with user’s security alternative approach to inspire dealing with National Health Policy and Sustainable Development Goals 2030.Md.Rahimullah Miah Mohammad Abdul Hannan AAM Shazzadur Rahman Md.Shahariar Khan Md Mokbul Hossain Ishrat Tasnim Rahman Md.Sabbir Hossain Chowdhury Shadman Shahriar Mohammad Basir Uddin Mohammad Taimur Hossain Talukdar Mohammad Shamsul Alam S.A.M.Imran Hossain Alamgir Adil Samdany Shahriar Hussain Chowdhury Alexander Kiew Sayok 2021Journal of Endocrinology Research2021,3,1:0
An Intelligent Hybrid Mutual Authentication Scheme for Industrial Internet of Thing Networks显示文摘Internet of Things(IoT)network used for industrial management is vulnerable to different security threats due to its unstructured deployment, and dynamic communication behavior. In literature various mechanisms addressed the security issue of Industrial IoT networks, but proper maintenance of the performance reliability is among the common challenges. In this paper,we proposed an intelligent mutual authentication scheme leveraging authentication aware node(AAN)and base station(BS)to identify routing attacks in Industrial IoT networks. The AAN and BS uses the communication parameter such as a route request(RREQ),node-ID,received signal strength(RSS),and round-trip time(RTT)information to identify malicious devices and routes in the deployed network. The feasibility of the proposed model is validated in the simulation environment, where OMNeT++was used as a simulation tool.We compare the results of the proposed model with existing field-proven schemes in terms of routing attacks detection, communication cost, latency, computational cost, and throughput. The results show that our proposed scheme surpasses the previous schemes regarding these performance parameters with the attack detection rate of 97.7%.Muhammad Adil Jehad Ali Muhammad Sajjad Khan Junsu Kim Ryan Alturki Mohammad Zakarya Mukhtaj Khan Rahim Khan Su Min Kim 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,7:0
