| 2 | Hydrothermal exfoliated molybdenum disulfide nanosheets as anode material for lithium ion batteries显示文摘Ultrathin MoS2nanosheets were prepared in high yield using a facile and effective hydrothermal intercalation and exfoliation route. The products were characterized in detail using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and Raman spectroscopy. The results show that the high yield of MoS2nanosheets with good quality was successfully achieved and the dimensions of the immense nanosheets reached 1 μm–2 μm. As anode material for Li-ion batteries, the as-prepared MoS2nanosheets electrodes exhibited a good initial capacity of 1190 mAh g-1and excellent cyclic stability at constant current density of 50 mA g-1. | 7 | Viologen-Decorated TEMPO for Neutral Aqueous Organic Redox Flow Batteries显示文摘A novel electroactive organic molecule,viz.,1-(1-oxyl-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl)-1′-(3-(trimethylammonio)propyl)-4,4′-bipyridinium trichloride((TPABPy)Cl3),is synthesized by decorating 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-oxyl(TEMPO)with viologen,which is used as the positive electrolyte in neutral aqueous redox flow battery(ARFB).Extensive characterizations are performed to investigate the composition/structure and the electrochemical behavior,revealing the favorable effect of introducing the cationic viologen group on the electroactive TEMPO.Salient findings are as follows.First,the redox potential is elevated from+0.745V for TEMPO to+0.967V for decorated TEMPO,favoring its use as the positive electrolyte.Such an elevation originates from the electron-withdrawing effect of the viologen unit,as evidenced by the nuclear magnetic resonance and single crystal structure analysis.Second,linear sweep voltammetry reveals that the diffusion coefficient is 2:97×10^(−6) cm^(2) s^(−1),and the rate constant of the one-electron transfer process is 7:50×10^(−2) cm s^(−1).The two values are sufficiently high as to ensure low concentration and kinetics polarization losses during the battery operation.Third,the permeability through anion-exchange membrane is as low as 1:80×10^(−11) cm^(2) s^(−1).It is understandable as the positive-charged viologen unit prevents the molecule from permeating through the anion exchange membrane by the Donnan effect.Fourth,the ionic nature features a decent conductivity and thus eliminates the use of additional supporting electrolyte.Finally,a flow battery is operated with 1.50M(TPABPy)Cl3 as the positive electrolyte,which affords a high energy density of 19.0WhL-1 and a stable cycling performance with capacity retention of 99.98%per cycle. | Shuzhi Hu Liwen Wang Xianzhi Yuan Zhipeng Xiang Mingbao Huang Peng Luo Yufeng Liu Zhiyong Fu Zhenxing Liang | 2021 | Energy Material Advances2021,,1: | 1 |

| 12 | Expression, refolding and preliminary characterization of recombinant snake venom metalloproteinases: Implica- tion for the hemorrhagic mechanism显示文摘Two cDNAs encoding hemorrhagic snake venom metalloproteinase acutolysin A and non-hemorrhagic metalloproteinase (BR) were cloned into the expression vector pET-22b, respectively, and the corresponding two recombinant proteins, A-22b and BR-22b, were produced in inclusion bodies in E. coli BL21(DE3). The recombinant proteins were then subjected to solubilization, purification and refolding in vitro. A-22b showed hemorrhagic activity but no detectable proteolytic activities toward fibrinogen and fibronectin. Natural acutolysin A had both hemorrhagic activity and proteolytic activity toward these substrates. BR-22b showed the proteolytic activities toward fibrinogen, but no hemorrhagic activity. In addition, two chimeric genes, C1 and C2, were constructed and cloned into pET-22b, and the corresponding recombinant proteins, C1-22b and C2-22b, were also expressed in inclusion bodies. C1-22b involved N-terminal 110 amino acids of BR and C-terminal 95 amino acids of acutolysin A, while C2-22b contained N-terminal 108 amino acids of acutolysin A and C-terminal 112 amino acids of BR. The biological activities of C2-22b and C1-22b were similar to those of A-22b and BR-22b, respectively.
