1Translation and validation of the Tibetan confusion assessment method for the intensive care unit显示文摘Background: At present, there is no available delirium translated assessment method for 3.3 million Tibetans. This study ai provide a method for delirium assessment for Tibetan patients speaking this language by validating a translation of the Confusion Assessment Method for the Intensive Care Unit (CAM-ICU). Methods: The study was conducted between July 2018 and November 2018. Patients were screened for delirium by a neurologist using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV (DSM-IV). Patients were subsequently screened by two nurses using Tibetan translations of the CAM-ICU. With DSM-IV criterion as the reference standard, the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), and negative predictive value (NPV) were calculated to assess the validity of the CAM-ICU criterion. Interrater reliability was determined by comparing the CAM-ICU ratings of nurse 1 vs. nurse 2 using the k coefficient. Results: Ninety-six patients were assessed independently by two nurses and one neurologist. According to DSM-IV standard, 42 out of 96 (43.8%) patients developed delirium. The sensitivities of Tibetan CAM-ICU were 90.5% for nurse 1 and 92.9% for nurse 2, respectively. Their specificities were 85.2% and 90.7%, respectively. The PPV were 82.6% for nurse 1 and 88.6% for nurse 2. Their NPV were 92.0% and 94.2%, respectively. The Tibetan CAM-ICU was done with good interrater reliability between nurse 1 and nurse 2 (k=0.91, P<0.001). 3Correlation of DNA methylation patterns to the phenotypic features of Tibetan elite alpinists in extreme hypoxia显示文摘High altitude is an extreme environment that imposes hypoxic pressure on physiological processes,and natives living at high altitudes are more adaptive in certain physiological processes.So far,epigenetic modifications under extreme changes in hypoxic pressures are relatively less understood.Here,we recruit 32 Tibetan elite alpinists(TEAs),who have successfully mounted Everest(8848 m)at least five times.Blood samples and physiological phenotypes of TEAs and 32 matched non-alpinist Tibetan volunteers(non-TEAs)are collected for analysis.Genome-wide DNA methylation analysis identifies 23,202 differentially methylated CpGs(P_(adj)<0.05,|β|>0.1)between the two groups.Some differentially methylated CpGs are in hypoxia-related genes such as PPP1R13L,MAP3K7CL,SEPTI-9,and CUL2.In addition,Gene ontology enrichment analysis reveals several inflammation-related pathways.Phenotypic analysis indicates that 12 phenotypes are significantly different between the two groups.In particular,TEAs exhibit higher blood oxygen saturation levels and lower neutrophil count,platelet count,and heart rate.For DNA methylation association analysis,we find that two CpGs(cg16687447,cg06947206)upstream of PTEN were associated with platelet count.In conclusion,extreme hypoxia exposure leads to epigenetic modifications and phenotypic alterations of TEA,providing us clues for exploring the molecular mechanism underlying changes under extreme hypoxia conditions.Zhuoma Basang Shixuan Zhang La Yang Deji Quzong Yi Li Yanyun Ma Meng Hao WeiLin Pu Xiaoyu Liu Hongjun Xie Meng Liang Jiucun Wang Qiangba Danzeng 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,10:2

6Role of using two-route ulinastatin injection to alleviate intestinal injury in septic rats显示文摘Purpose:Early application of protease inhibitors through the intestinal lumen could increase survival following experimental shock by blocking the pancreatic digestive enzymes. Hence, it was hypothesized that two-route injection (intraintestinal +intravenous) of ulinastatin (UTI), a broad-spectrum protease inhibitor, could better alleviate intestinal injury than single-route injection (either intravenous or intraintestinal).Methods:A sepsis model induced by lipopolysaccharide on rats was established. The rats were randomly divided into five groups: sham, sepsis, UTI intravenous injection (Uiv), UTI intraintestinal injection (Uii), and UTI intraintestinal +intravenous injection (Uii +Uiv) groups. The mucosal barrier function, enzyme-blocking effect, levels of systemic inflammatory cytokines, and 5-day survival rate were compared among groups. The small intestinal villus height (VH), crypt depth (CD), and two components of mucosal barrier (E-cadherin and mucin-2) were measured to evaluate the mucosal barrier function. The levels of trypsin and neutrophil elastase (NE) in the intestine, serum, and vital organs were measured to determine the enzyme-blocking effect.Results:Compared with the single-route injection group (Uiv or Uii), the two-route injection (Uii +Uiv) group displayed: (1) significantly higher levels of VH, VH/CD, E-cadherin, and mucin-2;(2) decreased trypsin and NE levels in intestine, plasma, and vital organs;(3) reduced systemic inflammatory cytokine levels;and (4) improved survival of septic rats.Conclusion:Two-route UTI injection was superior to single-route injection in terms of alleviating intestinal injury, which might be explained by extensive blockade of proteases through different ways.Xue-Lian Liao Qu-Zhen Danzeng Wei Zhang Chen-Shu Hou Bin-Bin Xu Jie Yang Yan Kang 2018Chinese Journal of Traumatology2018,21,6:1
7Real‑time service performances of BDS‑3 and Galileo constellations with a linear satellite clock correction models显示文摘In order to facilitate high-precision and real-time Precise Point Positioning(PPP),the International GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System)Service(IGS),BDS-3(BeiDou-3 Navigation Satellite System),and Galileo navigation satellite system(Galileo)have provided real-time satellite clock correction,which is updated at a high-frequency.However,the frequent updates pose the challenges of increasing the computational burden and compromising the timeliness of these correction parameters.To address this issue,an improved Real-Time Service(RTS)method is developed using an extrapolation algorithm and a linear model.The results indicate that a 1 h arc length of the satellite clock correction series is optimal for fitting a linear model of the RTS.With this approach,the 1 h extrapolation results for BDS-3 and Galileo are superior to 0.09 ns.Moreover,when these model coefficients are transmitted and updated at the intervals of 1,2,5,and 10 min,the corresponding PPP can converge at the centimeter-level.It is evident that these improved RTS methods outperform the current approach with high-frequency interval transmission,as they effectively mitigate the challenges associated with maintaining the timeliness of correction parameters.Haojun Li Danzeng Luojie Huimin Ding 2023Satellite Navigation2023,4,3:0
8Health Risk Assessment of Groundwater in Shigatse Landfill Site of Tibet显示文摘[Objectives]The research aimed to grasp environmental quality of groundwater in a landfill site,predict health risk of pollution factors to regional residents,provide scientific basis for landfill management,pollution prevention and control,and ensure safety of residents'drinking water supply.[Methods]Through on-site sampling of three groundwater monitoring wells at Shigatse landfill,and testing and analysis of conventional indexes and heavy metal elements,standard index method and comprehensive index method were used to evaluate environmental quality of groundwater in the landfill area.On this basis,a health risk evaluation model was applied to assess the health risk of residents in Shigatse landfill area.[Results]Comprehensive water quality was good in individual well of Shigatse landfill.Because NH_(3)-N and Fe in the monitoring well exceeded class Ⅲ standard of groundwater environmental quality in 2014,pollution of monitoring well was relatively heavy.The total carcinogenic risk of landfill groundwater for male and female was 1.855×10^(-6) and 2.238×10^(-6),respectively,exceeding the maximum acceptable level of carcinogenic risk for contaminants(1×10^(-6)).Cr^(6+)should be paid attention to.Moreover,risk value of health hazard for females was generally higher than that of males.The total non-carcinogenic risk values for males and females were 0.0577 and 0.0696,respectively,far lower than the non-carcinogenic risk threshold of'1'.[Conclusions]The groundwater environmental quality of Shigatse landfill site was good,and it posed a little health risk to regional residents.Peng ZHOU Meiling REN Wenwu ZHOU Danzeng Qiongdazhuoma Yang LI 2022Asian Agricultural Research2022,14,8:0

10Study on the efficiency of the underground muon detectors in YangBaJing Hybrid Array显示文摘Purpose Theγ-ray astronomy at 100 TeV is important to unravel the puzzles related to the origin and acceleration of the Galactic cosmic rays up to PeV energy.The YangBaJing Hybrid Array(YBJ-HA),about 2%the scale of LHAASO-KM2A,is such a kind of detection instrument capable of detecting 100 TeVγ-rays.And the muon detection efficiency stability of the MD array in YBJ-HA is crucial for high qualityγ-ray observation.To measure and monitor the muon detection efficiency,we develop a method in this work.Methods We develop a muon bundle method to measure and monitor the efficiency of each muon detector.In this method,muon detection efficiency of the target MD unit is calculated based on the surrounding MD units and the MC simulation.Results The average actual muon detection efficiency of the 16 MD units is up to 83.4%during 4 years’observation.Conclusions The muon detection efficiency of each MD unit is found to be stable during 4 years’operation.In the future,a similar method may be applicable to the muon detection efficiency study for LHAASO.Zhen Wang Youliang Feng Cheng Liu Yiqing Guo Hongbo Hu Tianlu Chen Danzeng Luobu Jiancheng He Yuhua Yao Yi Zhang 2019Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2019,3,3:0
