| 1 | Hydrogen Sulfide Promotes Wheat Seed Germination and Alleviates Oxidative Damage against Copper Stress显示文摘With the enhancement of copper(Cu) stress,the germination percentage of wheat seeds decreased gradually. Pretreatment with sodium hydrosulfide(NaHS),hydrogen sulfide(H2S) donor alleviated the inhibitory effect of Cu stress in a dose-dependent manner; whereas little visible symptom was observed in germinating seeds and radicle tips cultured in NaHS solutions. It was verified that H2S or HS-rather than other sulfur-containing components derived from NaHS attribute to the potential role in promoting seed germination against Cu stress. Further studies showed that NaHS could promote amylase and esterase activities,reduce Cu-induced disturbance of plasma membrane integrity in the radicle tips,and sustain lower levels of malondialdehyde and H2O2 in germinating seeds. Furthermore,NaHS pretreatment increased activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase and decreased that of lipoxygenase,but showed no significant effect on ascorbate peroxidase. Alternatively,NaHS prevented uptake of Cu and promoted the accumulation of free amino acids in seeds exposed to Cu. In addition,a rapid accumulation of endogenous H2S in seeds was observed at the early stage of germination,and higher level of H2S in NaHS-pretreated seeds. | 4 | Effects of rh BNP after PCI on non-invasive hemodynamic in acute myocardial infarction patients with left heart failure显示文摘Objective: To investigate the effects of exogenous recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide(rh BNP) after primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) on non-invasive hemodynamic in acute myocardial infarction patients with left ventricular failure. Methods: A number of 96 acute myocardial infarction patients accompanied with heart failure after PCI hospitalized in the People's Hospital of Sanya during February 2012 to October 2015 were selected. They were randomly divided into the therapy group(n = 50) and control group(n = 46). On the basis of routine treatment, patients in the therapy group were treated with intravenous rh BNP(1.5 μg/kg was intravenous injection with uniform speed of 3 min, followed by continuous infusion 0.007 5 μg/kg·min for 72 h), while the control group received conventional treatment. Bio Z-2011 non-invasive hemodynamic real-time monitoring system was used to monitor the hemodynamic parameters changes and the leves of plasma pro-BNP, serum creatinine, serum potassium, serum sodium and urine volume of each group before and after treating for 30 min, 1 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, 48 h, 72 h. Results: Patients in the therapy group showed no effect on heart rate, while after 30 min of intravenous injection of rh BNP, CO, CI, SV, and SI increased significantly and LVET and TFC reduced at the same time, which had certain effect on blood pressure(SBP/DBP). Compared with the control group, the therapy group showed a faster and more effective improvement on haemodynamics. | 5 | Efficacy and safety of bevacizumab plus chemotherapy in Chinese patients with metastatic colorectal cancer:a randomized phase Ⅲ ARTIST trial显示文摘The efficacy and safety of bevacizumab with modified irinotecan,leucovorin bolus,and 5-fluorouracil intravenous infusion(mIFL) in the first-line treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC) has not been well evaluated in randomized clinical trials in Chinese patients.We conducted a phrase Ⅲ trial in which patients with previously untreated mCRC were randomized 2:1 to the mIFL [irinotecan(125 mg/m2),leucovorin(20 mg/m2) bolus,and 5-fluorouracil intravenous infusion(500 mg/m2) weekly for four weeks every six weeks] plus bevacizumab(5 mg/kg every two weeks) group and the mIFL group,respectively.Co-primary objectives were progression-free survival(PFS) and 6-month PFS rate.In total,214 patients were enrolled.Our results showed that addition of bevacizumab to mIFL significantly improved median PFS(4.2 months in the mIFL group vs.8.3 months in the bevacizumab plus mIFL group,P < 0.001),6-month PFS rate(25.0% vs.62.6%,P < 0.001),median overall survival(13.4 months vs.18.7 months,P = 0.014),and response rate(17% vs.35%,P = 0.013).Grades 3 and 4 adverse events included diarrhea(21% in the mIFL group and 26% in the bevacizumab plus mIFL group) and neutropenia(19% in the mIFL group and 33% in the bevacizumab plus mIFL group).No wound-healing complications or congestive heart failure occurred.Our results suggested that bevacizumab plus mIFL is effective and well tolerated as first-line treatment for Chinese patients with mCRC.Clinical benefit and safety profiles were consistent with those observed in pivotal phase Ⅲ trials with mainly Caucasian patients. | Zhong-Zhen Guan Jian-Ming Xu Rong-Cheng Luo Feng-Yi Feng Li-Wei Wang Lin Shen Shi-Ying Yu Yi Ba Jun Liang Dong Wang Shu-Kui Qin Jie-Jun Wang Jing He Chuan Qi Rui-Hua Xu | 2011 | Chinese Journal of Cancer2011,30,10: | 48 |
| 6 | A Kelch Motif-Containing Serine/Threonine Protein Phosphatase Determines the Large Grain QTL Trait in Rice显示文摘A thorough understanding of the genetic basis of rice grain traits is critical for the improvement of rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties.In this study,we generated an F 2 population by crossing the large-grain japonica cultivar CW23 with Peiai 64 (PA64),an elite indica small-grain cultivar.Using QTL analysis,17 QTLs for five grain traits were detected on four different chromosomes.Eight of the QTLs were newly-identified in this study.In particular,qGL3-1,a newly-identified grain length QTL with the highest LOD value and largest phenotypic variation,was fine-mapped to the 17 kb region of chromosome 3.A serine/threonine protein phosphatase gene encoding a repeat domain containing two Kelch motifs was identified as the unique candidate gene corresponding to this QTL.A comparison of PA64 and CW23 sequences revealed a single nucleotide substitution (C→A) at position 1092 in exon 10,resulting in replacement of Asp (D) in PA64 with Glu (E) in CW23 for the 364th amino acid.This variation is located at the D position of the conserved sequence motif AVLDT of the Kelch repeat.Genetic analysis of a near-isogenic line (NIL) for qGL3-1 revealed that the allele qGL3-1 from CW23 has an additive or partly dominant effect,and is suitable for use in molecular marker-assisted selection. | Zejun Hu Haohua He Shiyong Zhang Fan Sun Xiaoyun Xin Wenxiang Wang Xi Qian Jingshui Yang Xiaojin Luo | 2012 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2012,54,12: | 41 |

| 8 | Prognostic factors of refractory NSCLC patients receiving anlotinib hydrochloride as the third-or further-line treatment显示文摘Objective:Anlotinib hydrochloride is a multitarget tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptor,fibroblast growth factor receptor,platelet-derived growth factor receptor,c-Kit,and c-MET;therefore,it exhibits both antitumor and anti-angiogenetic activities.A phase III trial has shown that anlotinib improved progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS)in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),who presented with progressive disease or intolerance after standard chemotherapy.This study aimed to analyze the characteristics of patients receiving anlotinib treatment to determine the dominant populations who are fit for the treatment.Methods:Data were collected from March 2015 to January 2017 from a randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled,multicenter,phase III trial of anlotinib(ALTER0303).A total of 437 patients were enrolled and randomly allocated(2:1)to the anlotinib and placebo groups.Kaplan–Meier analysis and log-rank test were performed to compare PFS and OS.Cox proportional hazards model was adopted for multivariate prognostic analysis.Results:Multivariate analysis indicated that high post-therapeutic peripheral blood granulocyte/lymphocyte ratio and elevated alkaline phosphatase levels were independent risk factors for PFS.Meanwhile,elevated thyroid-stimulating hormone,blood glucose,and triglyceride levels;hypertension;and hand–foot syndrome were independent protective factors of PFS.High posttherapeutic peripheral blood granulocyte/lymphocyte ratio,an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)score≥2,and the sum of the maximal target lesion length at baseline were independent risk factors of OS,and hypertriglyceridemia was an independent protective factor of OS.Conclusions:This study preliminarily explored the possible factors that affected PFS and OS after anlotinib treatment in patients with advanced refractory NSCLC,and the baseline characteristics of the therapeutically dominant populations were then identified. | Jing Wang Yizhuo Zhao Qiming Wang Li Zhang Jianhua Shi Zhehai Wang Ying Cheng Jianxing He Yuankai Shi Hao Yu Yang Zhao Weiqiang Chen Yi Luo Xiuwen Wang Kejun Nan Faguang Jin Jian Dong Baolan Li Zhujun Liu Baohui Han Kai Li | 2018 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2018,15,4: | 46 |
| 9 | Ginsenoside Rgl protects against ischemic/reperfusioninduced neuronal injury through miR-144/Nrf2/ARE pathway显示文摘Ginsenoside Rg1 (Rg1),a saponin extracted from Panax ginseng,has been well documented to be effective against ischemic/ reperfusion (I/R)neuronal injury.However,the underlying mechanisms remain obscure.In the present study,we investigated the roles of Nrf2 and miR-144 in the protective effects of Rgl against I/R-induced neuronal injury.In OGD/R-treated PC12 cells,Rgl (0.01-1 μmol/L)dose-dependently attenuated the cell injury accompanied by prolonging nuclear accumulation of Nrf2,enhancing the transcriptional activity of Nrf2,as well as promoting the expression of ARE-target genes.The activation of the Nrf2/ARE pathway by Rgl was independent of disassociation with Keapl,but resulted from post-translational regulations.Knockdown of Nrf2 abolished all the protective changes of Rgl in OG-D/R-treated PC12 cells.Furthermore,Rgl treatment significantly decreased the expression of miR-144,which downregulated Nrf2 production by targeting its 3'-untranlated region after OGD/R.Knockdown of Nrf2 had no effect on the expression of miR-144,suggesting that miR-144 was an upstream regulator of Nrf2.We revealed that there was a direct binding between Nrf2 and miR-144 in PC12 cells.Application of anti-miR-144 occluded the activation of the Nrf2/ ARE pathway by Rgl in OGD/R-treated PC12 cells.In tMCAO rats,administration of Rgl (20 mg/kg).significantly alleviated ischemic injury,and activated Nff2/ARE pathway.The protective effects of Rgl were abolished by injecting of AAV-HIF-miR-144-shRNA into the predicted ischemic penumbra.In conclusion,our results demonstrate that Rgl alleviates oxidative,stress after I/R through inhibiting miR-144 activity and subsequently promoting the Nrf2/ARE pathway at the post-translational-level. | Shi-feng Chu Zhao Zhang Xin Zhou Wen-bin He Chen Chen Piao Luo Dan-dan Liu Qi-di Ai Hai-fan Gong Zhen-zhen Wang Hong-shuo Sun Zhong-ping Feng Nai-hong Chen | 2019 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2019,40,1: | 30 |
| 10 | Drought Change Trend Using MODIS TVDI and Its Relationship with Climate Factors in China from 2001 to 2010显示文摘Changes in drought trends and its relationship with climate change in China were examined in this study.The temperature vegetation drought index(TVDI)datasets recorded during 2001 to 2010 in China were constructed by using the moderateresolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS)data,and the temporal and spatial variations in drought were analyzed.In addition,the mean temperature,mean precipitation,mean relative humidity,and mean sunshine duration data collected from 557local weather stations in China were analyzed.The relationships between drought and these climate factors were also analyzed by using correlation analysis and partial correlation analysis.Changes in drought tendency were shown to differ among four regions throughout the country.The fluctuations in climate in the regions of northeastern China,Qinling-Huaihe,and central Qinghai were caused by the increase in soil moisture,and that in southern Tibet was caused by the intensification of drought.Meteorological factors exhibited varied effects on drought among the regions.In southern China,the main influential factor was temperature;other factors only showed minimal effects.That in the northern and northwestern regions was sunshine duration,and those in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau were relative humidity and temperature. | LIANG Liang ZHAO Shu-he QIN Zhi-hao HE Ke-xun CHEN Chong LUO Yun-xiao ZHOU Xing-dong | 2014 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2014,13,7: | 29 |

| 13 | Cluster analysis for syndromes of real-world coronary heartdisease with angina pectoris显示文摘Syndromes of coronary heart disease with angina pectoris were analyzed to provide guidance forclinical practice and to improve accuracy of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) diagnoses and efficacy of TCMtreatment. A total of 860 cases with coronary heart disease with angina pectoris were selected from TCM ClinicalResearch Information Sharing System for TCM clinics and research. Syndromes were automatically extractedwith the cluster method and were analyzed to provide objective evidence for clinical studies. Final syndromeclassifications were recognized and confirmed by clinical experts. Popular syndromes included Qi and blooddeficiency, blood stasis and obstruction collaterals, liver depression and spleen deficiency, and Qi stagnation andblood stasis. Syndromes Qi and blood deficiency and blood stasis and obstruction collaterals accounted for 28.61%of total syndromes, whereas liver depression and spleen deficiency and Qi stagnation and blood stasis accountedfor 26.44%. | 15 | Application of contrast-enhanced intraoperative ultrasonography in the decision-making about hepatocellular carcinoma operation显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the detection and differentiation ability of contrast-enhanced intraoperative ultrasonography(CE-IOUS) in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) operations.METHODS:Clinical data of 50 HCC patients were retrospective analyzed.The sensitivity,specificity,false negative and false positive rates of contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(CE-MRI),IOUS and CEIOUS were calculated and compared.Surgical strategy changes due to CE-IOUS were analyzed.RESULTS:Lesions detected by CE-MRI,IOUS and CEIOUS were 60,97 and 85 respectively.The sensitivity,specificity,false negative rate,false positive rate of CEMRI were 98.2%,98.6%,98.6%,60.0%,respectively;for IOUS were 50.0%,90.9%,1.8%,1.4%,respectively;and for CE-IOUS were 1.4%,40.0%,50.0%,9.1%,respectively.The operation strategy of 9(9/50,18.0%) cases was changed according to the results of CE-IOUS.CONCLUSION:Compared with CE-MRI,CE-IOUS performs better in detection and differentiation of small metastasis and regenerative nodules.It plays an important role in the decision-making of HCC operation. | Wu, Hong Lu, Qiang Luo, Yan He, Xian-Lu Zeng, Yong | 2010 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,4: | 22 |

| 18 | Targeted puncture of left branch of intrahepatic portal vein in transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt to reduce hepatic encephalopathy显示文摘BACKGROUND Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS) is currently used for the treatment of complications of portal hypertension. The incidence of hepatic encephalopathy(HE) remains a problem in TIPS placement. It has been reported that the right branch mainly receives superior mesenteric venous blood while the left branch mainly receives blood from the splenic vein. We hypothesized that targeted puncture of the left portal vein would divert the non-nutritive blood from the splenic vein into the TIPS shunt; therefore, targeted puncture of the left branch of the intrahepatic portal vein during TIPS may reduce the risk of HE.AIM To evaluate the influence of targeted puncture of left branch of portal vein in TIPS on HE.METHODS A retrospective analysis of 1244 patients with portal-hypertension-related complications of refractory ascites or variceal bleeding who underwent TIPS from January 2000 to January 2013 was performed. Patients were divided into group A(targeting left branch of portal vein, n = 937) and group B(targeting right branch of portal vein, n = 307). TIPS-related HE and clinical outcomes were analyzed.RESULTS The symptoms of ascites and variceal bleeding disappeared within a short time.By the endpoint of follow-up, recurrent bleeding and ascites did not differ significantly between groups A and B(P = 0.278, P = 0.561, respectively).Incidence of HE differed significantly between groups A and B at 1 mo(14.94% vs36.80%, χ~2 = 4.839, P = 0.028), 3 mo(12.48% vs 34.20%, χ~2 = 5.054, P = 0.025), 6 mo(10.03% vs 32.24%, χ~2 = 6.560, P = 0.010), 9 mo(9.17% vs 31.27%, χ~2 = 5.357, P =0.021), and 12 mo(8.21% vs 28.01, χ~2 = 3.848, P = 0.051). There were no significant differences between groups A and B at 3 years(6.61% vs 7.16%, χ~2 = 1.204, P =0.272) and 5 years(5.01% vs 6.18%, χ~2 = 0.072, P = 0.562). Previously, a tapetum‐expressed CYP703A3, a putative cytochrome P450 fatty acid hydroxylase, was shown to be essential for male fertility in rice(Oryza sativa L.). However,the biochemical and biological roles of CYP703A3 has not been characterized. Here, we observed that cyp703a3‐2 caused by one base insertion in CYP703A3 displays defective pollen exine and anther epicuticular layer, which differs from Arabidopsis cyp703a2 in which only defective pollen exine occurs. Consistently, chemical composition assay showed that levels of cutin monomers and wax components were dramatically reduced in cyp703a3‐2 anthers. Unlike the wide range of substrates of Arabidopsis CYP703A2, CYP703A3 functions as an in‐chain hydroxylase only for a specific substrate, lauric acid, preferably generating 7‐hydroxylated lauric acid. Moreover, chromatin immunoprecipitation and expression analyses revealed that the expression of CYP703A3 is directly regulated by Tapetum Degeneration Retardation, a known regulator of tapetum PCD and pollen exine formation.
