2ZONAL DISINTEGRATION MECHANISM OF DEEP CRACK-WEAKENED ROCK MASSES UNDER DYNAMIC UNLOADING显示文摘Size and quantity of fractured zone and non-fractured zone are controlled by cracks contained in deep rock masses.Zonal disintegration mechanism is strongly dependent on the interaction among cracks.The strong interaction among cracks is investigated using stress super-position principle and the Chebyshev polynomials expansion of the pseudo-traction.It is found from numerical results that crack nucleation,growth and coalescence lead to failure of deep crack-weakened rock masses.The stress redistribution around the surrounding rock mass induced by unloading excavation is studied.The effect of the excavation time on nucleation,growth,inter-action and coalescence of cracks was analyzed.Moreover,the inffuence of the excavation time on the size and quantity of fractured zone and non-fractured zone was given.When the excavation time is short,zonal disintegration phenomenon may occur in deep rock masses.It is shown from numerical results that the size and quantity of fractured zone increase with decreasing excavation time,and the size and quantity of fractured zone increase with the increasing value of in-situ geostress.Xiaoping Zhou Qihu Qian Bohu Zhang 2009Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2009,22,3:15

5Experimental investigation of rigid confinement effects of radial strain on dynamic mechanical properties and failure modes of concrete显示文摘In this study,to confirm the effect of confining pressure on dynamic mechanical behavior and failure modes of concrete,a split Hopkinson pressure bar dynamic loading device was utilized to perform dynamic compressive experiments under confined and unconfined conditions.The confining pressure was achieved by applying a lateral metal sleeve on the testing specimen which was loaded in the axial direction.The experimental results prove that dynamic peak axial stress,dynamic peak lateral stress,and peak axial strain of concrete are strongly sensitive to the strain rate under confined conditions.Moreover,the failure patterns are significantly affected by the stress-loading rate and confining pressure.Concrete shows stronger strain rate effects under an unconfined condition than that under a confined condition.More cracks are created in concrete subjected to uniaxial dynamic compression at a higher strain rate,which can be explained by a thermal-activated mechanism.By contrast,crack generation is prevented by confinement.Fitting formulas of the dynamic peak stress and dynamic peak axial strain are established by considering strain rate effects(50–250 s-1)as well as the dynamic confining increase factor(DIFc).Pengfei Liu Xiaoping Zhou Qihu Qian 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,5:4

10THE CONSTITUTIVE RELATION OF CRACK-WEAKENED ROCK MASSES UNDER AXIAL-DIMENSIONAL UNLOADING显示文摘An accurate and effcient numerical method for solving the crack-crack interaction problem is presented. The method is mainly by means of the dislocation model, stress superposition principle and Chebyshev polynomial expansion of the pseudo-traction. This method can be applied to compute the stress intensity factors of multiple kinked cracks and multiple rows of periodic cracks as well as the overall strains of rock masses containing multiple kinked cracks under complex loads. Many complex computational examples are given. The dependence of the crack-crack interaction on the crack configuration, the geometrical and physical parameters, and loads pattern, is investigated. By comparison with numerical results under confining pressure unloading, it is shown that the crack-crack interaction under axial-dimensional unloading is weaker than those under confining pressure unloading. Numerical results for single faults and crossed faults show that the single faults are more unstable than the crossed faults. 11Upconversion nanoparticles@AgBiS_(2) core-shell nanoparticles with cancer-cell-specific cytotoxicity for combined photothermal and photodynamic therapy of cancers显示文摘UCNPs@AgBiS_(2) core-shell nanoparticles that AgBiS_(2) coated on the surface of upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) was successfully prepared through an ion exchange reaction. The photothermal conversion efficiency of AgBiS_(2) can be improved from 14.7% to 45% due to the cross relaxation between Nd ions and AgBiS_(2). The doping concentration of Nd ions played a critical role in the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and enhanced the photothermal conversion efficiency. The NaYF4:Yb/Er/Nd@NaYF4:Nd nanoparticles endows strong upcon-version emissions when the doped concentration of Nd ions is 1% in the inner core, which excites the AgBiS_(2) shell to produce ROS for photodynamic therapy (PDT) of cancer cells. As a result, the as-prepared NaYF4:Yb/Er/ Nd@NaYF4:Nd@AgBiS_(2) core-shell nanoparticles showed combined photothermal/photodynamic therapy (PTT/ PDT) against malignant tumors. 13Analysis on the types of chemokines expressed by the murine thymic epithelial cell line MTEC1显示文摘Six kinds of chemokines including SDF-1α, IP-10, KG, RANTES, MCP-1 and Lymphotactin have been amplified using the primers designed by ourselves with RT-PCR from the total RNA of a medullary-type murine thymic epithelial cell line MTEC1 cells. The amplified cDNA fragments of the chemokines have been identified by nucleotide sequencing and Northern blot analysis. The results demonstrate that there are two different splicing forms of SDF-1 mRNA existing in MTEC1. 14STABILITY ANALYSIS OF TWO-DIMENSIONAL LANDSLIDES SUBJECTED TO SEISMIC LOADS显示文摘In the past, the pseudo-static method used to be the most common for evaluating the stability of landslides under seismic loads, in which static forces acting on the center of gravity of a sliding body are used to consider the effects of earthquake. However, seismic loads of rock and soil differ from time and location to time and location. Obviously, it is irrational for the pseudo-static approach to be applied to solving dynamic problems. In this paper, a displacementpseudo-dynamic model is proposed to assess seismic stability of landslides, in which the sinusoidalcosinusoidal wave is applied to simulating earthquake displacement, and an 'amplification factor'of peak seismic displacement is referred to as the amplification of seismic wave when it propagates from the bottom to the top of the landslide. The effects of physico-mechanical behaviors of a sliding body on seismic stability of soil slopes are taken into account as well as inertia forces and damping forces. The sensitivity analyses on the permanent displacement and the dynamic factor of safety of landslides are studied in detail. 15Hyperthermia enhances the anticancer-drug induced cytotoxicity in hepatocellular carcinoma cell line SMMC-7721显示文摘Objective: Hyperthermia is an attractive addition to multidisciplinary approaches to clinical cancer treatment. The efficiency of hyperthermia depends on the elevation of the temperature and the duration of treatment. It has been reported that in vitro and in vivo hyperthermia enhanced the cytotoxic effect of certain anticancer drugs. However, this enhancement varies, depending on the drug used and the scheduling of treatments. Thus, the combination effect of chemotherapy and hyperthermia remains unclear. In this study, we aimed to investigate whether concurrent exposure of human hepatocellular carcinoma cells SMMC-7721 to chemotherapeutic agents andhyperthermia could increase anticancer effects. Methods: Two chemotherapeutic agents, cisplatin and hydroxycamptothecin, were applied. The MTT assay was performed to evaluate the growth inhibition of SMMC-7721 induced by anticancer drugs with and without hyperthermia. Flow cytometric analysis was used for the assessment of apoptosis after treatments. Results: The percentages of growth inhibition of SMMC-7721 induced by cisplatin(10 μg/ml) alone, hydroxycamptothecin (1 μg/ml) alone, hyperthermia alone, cisplatin and hyperthermia, hydroxycamptothecin and hyperthermia, were 20.77%, 13.65%, 32.46%, 62.76%, 71.89%, respectively. The percentages of apoptosis of five treatments are 5.56%, 3.96%, 10.16%, 24.32%, 20.42%, respectively. Conclusion: While both hyperthermia and anticancer drugs can individually induce apoptosis and anti-proliferation effect, the combination of the two treatments induce significantly higher apoptosis and cytotoxicity than hyperthermia or anticancer drugs treatment alone. 16p190A inactivating mutations cause aberrant RhoA activation and promote malignant transformation via the Hippo-YAP pathway in endometrial cancer显示文摘The Rho family of GTPases is strictly regulated by a large family of GTPase-activating proteins(GAPs)that stimulate the relatively weak intrinsic GTP-hydrolyzing activity of Rho GTPases.p190A is a potent and widely expressed GAP that acts on RhoA GTPases.p190A is frequently mutated in endometrial cancer,but the contribution of p190A mutations to endometrial tumorigenesis remains unclear.Here we identified that p190A is an upstream regulator of the Hippo-YAP signaling pathway,which is a critical regulator of cell proliferation,apoptosis,and cell fate.p190A knockout in endometrial cancer cells promoted cell proliferation,migration,and epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT),which were partially dependent on YAP activation.Wild-type p190A,but not endometrial cancer-associated mutants,suppressed the nuclear localization,transcriptional activity,and malignant transformation function of YAP.Moreover,the nuclear localization of YAP was enhanced in p190A-mutated endometrial cancer.These findings reveal novel molecular mechanisms underlying Hippo-YAP pathway-driven endometrial tumorigenesis and elucidate the potential for therapy targeting the Hippo-YAP pathway in p190A-mutated endometrial cancer.Xiaoli Wen Jing Wan Qizhi He Mengfei Wang Shuangdi Li Mei Jiang Zhen Qian Binya Liu Wen Lu Kai Wang Kun Gao Xiaoping Wan 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:3
17Functional analysis of three genetic disorder related PITX2 mutants显示文摘The autosome dominant disorders, ring dermoid of the cornea (RDC), iris hypolasia (IH) and Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome (ARS), are allelic disor- ders, as all three can result from mutations of the transcriptional factor PITX2. Among three disorder phenotypes, ARS is the most severe, IH is milder than ARS, and RDC is the mildest. Missense muta- tions of the PITX2 homeodomain identified in RDC (R62H), IH (R84W) and ARS patients (T68P) were introduced into PITX2 cDNA by site-directed mutagenesis. PITX2 mutant proteins expressed in eucaryotic cells were stable and localized to the nu- cleus. Analysis of these mutant PITX2 proteins by DNA-binding shift and transactivation studies dem- onstrated that the R62H had the most activity in both studies, and the R84W still retained somewhat func- tions, whereas the T68P proved to be non-functional. 18THE EFFECTS OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL PENNY-SHAPED CRACKS ON ZONAL DISINTEGRATION OF THE SURROUNDING ROCK MASSES AROUND A DEEP CIRCULAR TUNNEL显示文摘In this study, it was assumed that three-dimensional penny-shaped cracks existed in deep rock masses. A new non-Euclidean model was established, in which the effects of pennyshaped cracks and axial in-situ stress on zonal disintegration of deep rock masses were taken into account. Based on the non-Euclidean model, the stress intensity factors at tips of the pennyshaped cracks were determined. The strain energy density factor was applied to investigate the occurrence of fractured zones. It was observed from the numerical results that the magnitude and location of fractured zones were sensitive to micro- and macro-mechanical parameters, as well as the value of in-situ stress. 19Bone-targeting melphalan prodrug with tumor-microenvironment sensitivity: Synthesis, in vitro and in vivo evaluation显示文摘Bone tumor is a refractory neoplastic growth of tissue in bone. According to the unique environment and phys-chemical characteristics of bone tissues, the chemotherapeutic agents are unlikely to prolong the survival of patients and often associated with systemic side effects. The bone targeting drug delivery via systemic administration may provide both better treatment efficacy and less frequent administration. In this study, we describe the synthesis, in vitro and in vivo evaluation of novel melphalan-bisphosphonate hybrids, with a tumor microenvironment sensitive linkage, which could be enzymatic activation under tumor microenvironment conditions. We have also evaluated the in vitro targeting efficiency of these prodrugs via the affinity of hydroxyapatite(HA) and cellular proliferation. 20A multifunctional biomedical patch based on hyperbranched epoxy polymer and MXene显示文摘Biomedical patches play fundamental roles in various applications such as wound closure and tissue regeneration.The hybrid patches integrating versatile properties will prominently improve the therapeutic effects in clinical applications.Herein,an epoxy network loading curcumin and Ti3 C2 TxMXenes were developed as a hybrid biomedical patch.The hybrid patch was basically prepared through an epoxy/thiol curing chemistry,and its topological structure can be destructed and rearranged as a vitrimer does due to the active transesterification at high temperature.The resulted hybrid patch exhibits shape-morphing capability,multi-substrate adhesion,self-healing ability,and photothermal effects under 980 nm near infrared(NIR).Additionally,the asprepared hybrid patch possesses strong UV-shielding,excellent oxidation resistance(ROS scavenging efficiency was 89.3%in3 min),highly effective antibacterial vitality(more than 99%)against S.aureus and E.coli,and good cytocompatibility.As a proof of concept,the present multifunctional hybrid patch broadens the potential applications in the biomedical field.ZOU Yang JIN Xin ZHANG XiaoPing KONG XiaoLing ZHANG Qian XIE XianHua LIU ChangJun KE LinNan LIU WenGuang WANG Wei 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,12:2
