1Iron-doped Mn-Ce/TiO_2 catalyst for low temperature selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH_3显示文摘The catalysts of iron-doped Mn-Ce/TiO 2(Fe-Mn-Ce/TiO 2) prepared by sol-gel method were investigated for low temperature selective catalytic reduction(SCR) of NO with NH 3.It was found that the NO conversion over Fe-Mn-Ce/TiO 2 was obviously improved after iron doping compared with that over Mn-Ce/TiO 2.Fe-Mn-Ce/TiO 2 with the molar ratio of Fe/Ti = 0.1 exhibited the highest activity.The results showed that 96.8% NO conversion was obtained over Fe(0.1)-Mn-Ce/TiO 2 at 180°C at a space velocity of 50,000 hr 1.Fe-Mn-Ce/TiO 2 exhibited much higher resistance to H 2 O and SO 2 than that of Mn-Ce/TiO 2.The properties of the catalysts were characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD),N 2 adsorption,temperature programmed desorption(NH 3-TPD and NOx-TPD),and Xray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) techniques.BET,NH3-TPD and NOx-TPD results showed that the specific surface area and NH3 and NOx adsorption capacity of the catalysts increased with iron doping.It was known from XPS analysis that iron valence state on the surface of the catalysts were in Fe3+ state.The doping of iron enhanced the dispersion and oxidation state of Mn and Ce on the surface of the catalysts.The oxygen concentrations on the surface of the catalysts were found to increase after iron doping.Fe-Mn-Ce/TiO2 represented a promising catalyst for low temperature SCR of NO with NH3 in the presence of H2 O and SO2.Boxiong Shen ,Ting Liu,Ning Zhao,Xiaoyan Yang,Lidan Deng College of Environmental Science and Engineering,Nankai University,Tianjin 300071,China. 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,9:63

3Efficacy and safety of a novel anti-HER2 therapeutic antibody RC48 in patients with HER2-overexpressing,locally advanced or metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer:a single-arm phase II study显示文摘Background:Current treatment options for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-overexpressing gastric cancer at third-line have shown limited clinical benefit.Further,there is no specific treatment for HER2 immunohistochemistry(IHC)2+and fluorescence in-situ hybridization-negative patients.Here,we report the efficacy and safety of a novel anti-HER2 antibody RC48 for patients with HER2-overexpressing,advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer.Methods:Patients with HER2-overexpressing(IHC 2+or 3+),locally advanced or metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer who were under at least second-line therapy were eligible and received RC482.5 mg/kg alone every 2 weeks.The primary endpoint was the objective response rate(ORR)assessed by an independent review committee.Secondary endpoints included progressionfree survival(PFS),overall survival(OS),duration of response,time to progression,disease control rate,and safety.Results:Of 179 patients screened,125 were eligible and received RC48 treatment.The ORR was 24.8%(95%confidence interval[CI]:17.5%-33.3%).The median PFS and OS were 4.1 months(95%CI:3.7-4.9 months)and 7.9 months(95%CI:6.7-9.9 months),respectively.The most frequently reported adverse events were decreased white blood cell count(53.6%),asthenia(53.6%),hair loss(53.6%),decreased neutrophil count(52.0%),anemia(49.6%),and increased aspartate aminotransferase level(43.2%).Serious adverse events(SAEs)occurred in 45(36.0%)patients,and RC48-related SAEs were mainly decreased neutrophil count(3.2%).Seven patients had adverse events that led to death were not RC48-related.Conclusions:RC48 showed promising activity with manageable safety,suggesting potential application in patients with HER2-overexpressing,advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer who have previously received at least two lines of chemotherapy.Zhi Peng Tianshu Liu Jia Wei Airong Wang Yifu He Liuzhong Yang Xizhi Zhang Nanfeng Fan Suxia Luo Zhen Li Kangsheng Gu Jianwei Lu Jianming Xu Qingxia Fan Ruihua Xu Liangming Zhang Enxiao Li Yuping Sun Guohua Yu Chunmei Bai Yong Liu Jiangzheng Zeng Jieer Ying Xinjun Liang Nong Xu Chao Gao Yongqian Shu Dong Ma Guanghai Dai Shengmian Li Ting Deng Yuehong Cui Jianmin Fang Yi Ba Lin Shen 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,11:29

5Saponins from Panax japonicus attenuate age-related neuroinflammation via regulation of the mitogen-activated protein kinase and nuclear factor kappa B signaling pathways显示文摘Neuroinflammation is recognized as an important pathogenic factor for aging and related cognitive disorders. Mitogen-activated protein kinase and nuclear factor kappa B signaling pathways may mediate neuroinflammation. Saponins from Panax japonicus are the most abundant and bioactive members in rhizomes of Panax japonicus, and show anti-inflammatory activity. However, it is not known whether saponin from Panax japonicus has an anti-inflammatory effect in the aging brain, and likewise its underlying mechanisms. Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into control groups(3-, 9-, 15-, and 24-month-old groups) and saponins from Panax japonicus-treated groups. Saponins from Panax japonicus-treated groups were orally administrated saponins from Panax japonicus at three doses of 10, 30, and 60 mg/kg once daily for 6 months until the rats were 24 months old. Immunohistochemical staining and western blot assay results demonstrated that many microglia were activated in 24-month-old rats compared with 3-and 9-month-old rats. Expression of interleukin-1β, tumor necrosis factor-α, cyclooxygenase-2, and inducible nitric oxide synthase increased. Each dose of saponins from Panax japonicus visibly suppressed microglial activation in the aging rat brain, and inhibited expression levels of the above factors. Each dose of saponins from Panax japonicus markedly diminished levels of nuclear factor kappa B, IκBα, extracellular signal-regulated kinase, c-Jun N-terminal kinase, and p38. 7BRAF^(V600E) vs. TIRADS in predicting papillary thyroid cancers in Bethesda system Ⅰ, Ⅲ, and Ⅴ nodules显示文摘Objective: Bethesda System for Reporting Thyroid Cytopathology(BSRTC) categories Ⅰ, Ⅲ, and Ⅴaccount for a significant proportion of fine needle aspiration cytology(FNAC) diagnoses. This study aimed to compare the diagnostic efficacy of BRAF^(V600E) mutation and the Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System(TIRADS) classification in differentiating papillary thyroid cancers(PTCs) from benign lesions among BSRTC I, III, and V nodules.Methods: A total of 472 patients with 479 nodules were enrolled in this prospective study. Ultrasound, BRAF^(V600E) mutation testing, and FNAC were performed in each nodule, followed by surgery or regular ultrasound examination.Results: In the BSRTC I category, BRAF^(V600E) showed similar sensitivity, higher specificity, and lower accuracy when compared with TIRADS. In the BSRTC III/V category, the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of BRAF^(V600E) were similar to those of TIRADS. In comparison to BRAF^(V600E) alone, the combination of the two methods significantly improved sensitivity(BSRTC Ⅰ:93.6% vs. 67.7%, P < 0.01; BSRTC Ⅲ: 93.8% vs. 75.0%, P < 0.01; BSRTC V: 96.0% vs. 85.3%, P < 0.001). When compared with TIRADS alone, the combination improved sensitivity in BSRTC Ⅰ nodules(93.6% vs. 74.2%, P < 0.05), increased sensitivity and decreased accuracy in BSRTC III nodules(93.8% vs. 75.0%, P < 0.01, 91.0% vs. 93.6%, P < 0.01), and improved both sensitivity and accuracy in BSRTC V nodules(96.0% vs. 82.0%, P < 0.001; 94.2% vs. 81.3%, P < 0.001).Conclusions: BRAF^(V600E) exhibited higher specificity and lower accuracy compared with TIRADS in BSRTC Ⅰ nodules, while the two methods showed similar diagnostic value in BSRTC Ⅲ/Ⅴ nodules. 8Abrasive Wear Behavior and Mechanism of High Chromium Cast Iron显示文摘The abrasive wear behavior of high chromium cast iron(containing 12.9mass%chromium)austenitized at1 050 ℃for 2hand austempered in salt bath at 320℃for 4hwas evaluated.Abrasive wear was performed using alumina abrasive under four different loads,namely 50,100,150,and 200 N,for 36 000 cycles.The worn surfaces and wear debris were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy,laser confocal microscopy and X-ray diffraction.Microhardness profiles were also obtained in order to analyze the strain-hardening effects beneath the contact surfaces.Results indicate that the retained austenite in high chromium cast iron has experienced induced martensitic transformation after tests,for small amounts of retained austenite could be detected by X-ray diffraction.In addition,there is a close relationship between wear mechanism and test load.Under the condition of lower test load,the wear mechanism is an uninterrupted and repeated process,during which matrix is cut at first and then fine carbides flake off.As to higher test load,scratching and spalling induced by cleavage fracture of blocky carbide are the wear mechanism.Ting SUN Ren-bo SONG Xu WANG Peng DENG Chun-jing WU 2015Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2015,22,1:8
9Exploration and research progress on ion-adsorption type REE deposit in South China显示文摘Since 2011,certain advances have been made through the resource investigation,metallogenesis research,mining supervision and environmental protection of ion-adsorption type rare earth element (REE) deposit in South China.Firstly,some progress has been made in REE prospecting in Jiangxi,Guangdong,Guangxi and Yunnan.REE deposits are not only found within the weathering crusts of granites and felsic volcanic rocks,but also within the weathering crusts of epimetamorphic rocks and basic magmatic rocks.Secondly,the methods of exploration,delineating ore bodies and calculation of reserves have been improved,which intuitively reflect the thickness,REE composition and value of weathering crust.Thirdly,the relationship between REEs and weathering degree and the rule of distribution,migration and enrichment of REEs in the weathering profile was summarized through the analysis of big data,which can predict the metallogenetic horizon of REEs.Fourthly,a method for quick,accurate and dynamic investigation of the REE deposit has been established by using high resolution remote sensing technology.Finally,the relation between the production status of REE mines and water pollution has been revealed based on long-term hydrochemical monitoring data of rivers and wells in mines and surrounding areas.Deng-hong Wang Zhi Zhao Yang Yu Jing-jing Dai Mao-chun Deng Ting Zhao Li-jun Liu 2018China Geology2018,1,3:8
10Investigation of benzylisoquinoline alkaloid biosynthetic pathway and its transcriptional regulation in lotus显示文摘Lotus predominantly accumulates benzylisoquinoline alkaloids(BIAs),but their biosynthesis and regulation remain unclear.Here,we investigated structural and regulatory genes involved in BIA accumulation in lotus.Two clustered CYP80 genes were identified to be responsible for the biosynthesis of bis-BIAs and aporphine-type BIAs,respectively,and their tissue-specific expression causes divergence in alkaloid component between leaf and embryo.In contrast with the common(S)-reticuline precursor for most BIAs,aporphine alkaloids in lotus leaf may result from the(S)-N-methylcoclaurine precursor.Structural diversity of BIA alkaloids in the leaf is attributed to enzymatic modifications,including intramolecular C–C phenol coupling on ring A and methylation and demethylation at certain positions.Additionally,most BIA biosynthetic pathway genes show higher levels of expression in the leaf of high-BIA cultivar compared with low-BIA cultivar,suggesting transcriptional regulation of BIA accumulation in lotus.Five transcription factors,including three MYBs,one ethylene-responsive factor,and one basic helix–loop–helix(bHLH),were identified to be candidate regulators of BIA biosynthesis in lotus.Our study reveals a BIA biosynthetic pathway and its transcriptional regulation in lotus,which will enable a deeper understanding of BIA biosynthesis in plants.Xianbao Deng Li Zhao Ting Fang Yaqian Xiong Collins Ogutu Dong Yang Sornkanok Vimolmangkang Yanling Liu Yuepeng Han 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:8
11GRAIN LENGTH AND AWN 1 negatively regulates grain size in rice显示文摘Grain size is an important factor determining yield in rice. Here, we identified a recessive mutant gene, grain length and awn 1 (gla1), which caused a significant increase in grain length and weight, and was associated with long awns. The gla1 mutation was mapped to a single-nucleotide polymorphism in a gene encoding a cytoplasmically-localized mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) phosphatase. Overexpression of GLA1 caused a decrease in grain length, and the GLA1 protein interacted with OsMAPK6. 13Effects of wind waves of the Pacific westerly on the eastern Pacific wave transport显示文摘There exists a tongue-shaped swell-dominance pool known as Swell Pool(SP) in the Eastern Pacific region.The monthly-mean wave transports(WT) for each month of 2000 is computed using the wave products of ECMWF reanalysis data.By comparing the 2000 monthly-mean WT and monthly-mean wind field from QUICKSCAT,large differences are found between the wave transport direction and the wind direction over the Eastern Pacific.This may serve as an evidence for the existence of the SP in this region.The work done in this study indicates that the sources of swell in the Tropical Eastern Pacific(TEP) are in the westerly regions of the Southern and Northern Pacific.DENG Zeng' an WU Kejian ZHAO Dongliang YU Ting 2009Acta Oceanologica Sinica2009,28,1:6

15Phytosterol content and the campesterol:sitosterol ratio influence cotton fiber development: role of phytosterols in cell elongation显示文摘Phytosterols play an important role in plant growth and development,including cell division,cell elongation,embryogenesis,cellulose biosynthesis,and cell wall formation.Cotton fiber,which undergoes synchronous cell elongation and a large amount of cellulose synthesis,is an ideal model for the study of plant cell elongation and cell wall biogenesis.The role of phytosterols in fiber growth was investigated by treating the fibers with tridemorph,a sterol biosynthetic inhibitor.The inhibition of phytosterol biosynthesis resulted in an apparent suppression of fiber elongation in vitro or in planta.The determination of phytosterol quantity indicated that sitosterol and campesterol were the major phytosterols in cotton fibers;moreover,higher concentrations of these phytosterols were observed during the period of rapid elongation of fibers.Furthermore,the decrease and increase in campesterol:sitosterol ratio was associated with the increase and decease in speed of elongation,respectively,during the elongation stage.The increase in the ratio was associated with the transition from cell elongation to secondary cell wall synthesis.In addition,a number of phytosterol biosynthetic genes were down-regulated in the short fibers of ligon lintless-1mutant,compared to its near-isogenic wild-type TM-1.These results demonstrated that phytosterols play a crucial role in cotton fiber development,and particularly in fiber elongation.Shasha Deng Ting Wei Kunling Tan Mingyu Hu Fang Li Yunlan Zhai Shue Ye Yuehua Xiao Lei Hou Yan Pei Ming Luo 2016Science China(Life Sciences)2016,59,2:5

17Phenformin alone or combined with gefitinib inhibits bladder cancer via AMPK and EGFR pathways显示文摘Background:In previous studies,we have shown that the combination of metformin and gefitinib inhibits the growth of bladder cancer cells.Here we examined whether the metformin analogue phenformin,either used alone or in combination with gefitinib,could inhibit growth of bladder cancer cells.Methods:The growth-inhibitory effects of phenformin and gefitinib were tested in one murine and two human bladder cancer cell lines using MTT and clonogenic assays.Effects on cell migration were assessed in a wound healing assay.Synergistic action between the two drugs was assessed using CompuSyn software.The potential involvement of AMPK and EGFR pathways in the effects of phenformin and gefitinib was explored using Western blotting.Results:In MTT and clonogenic assays,phenformin was>10-fold more potent than metformin in inhibiting bladder cancer cell growth.Phenformin also potently inhibited cell migration in wound healing assays,and promoted apop-tosis.AMPK signaling was activated;EGFR signaling was inhibited.Phenformin was synergistic with gefitinib,with the combination of drugs showing much stronger anticancer activity and apoptotic activation than phenformin alone.Conclusions:Phenformin shows potential as an effective drug against bladder cancer,either alone or in combination with gefitinib.Yanjun Huang Sichun Zhou Caimei He Jun Deng Ting Tao Qiongli Su Kwame Oteng Darko Mei Peng Xiaoping Yang 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:5
18Preparation and Characteristics of a pH-sensitive Glucose-based Hydrogel显示文摘With glucose as the template compound,a p H-sensitive hydrogel was prepared by polymerization of the modified glucose,acrylamide,and acrylic acid.The porous hydrogel showed the highest swelling ratio of 42.7 g/g at p H=7.4 and the best adsorption of methylene blue at p H=7.The Langmuir isotherm fitted very well to the equilibrium adsorption data with the maximum adsorption capacity of 49.1 mg/g.The adsorption kinetics were well described by the pseudo 2^(nd) order model.Adsorption studies suggested that the p H-sensitive glucose-based hydrogel could be used as an adsorbent for the removal of methylene blue from wastewater.Other applications of the hydrogel are on the way,such as scaffolding in the biomedical field and soil conditioning in agriculture.Yan Lin GuiGan Fang YongJun Deng KuiZhong Shen Ting Wu Man Li 2018Paper And Biomaterials2018,3,3:5
19Preparation of berberine hydrochloride long-circulating liposomes by ionophore A23187-mediated ZnSO_(4)gradient method显示文摘The aim of the study was to prepare berberine hydrochloride long-circulating liposomes and optimize the formulation and process parameters,and investigate the influence of different factors on the encapsulation efficiency.Berberine hydrochloride liposomes were prepared in response to a transmembrane ion gradient that was established by ionophore A23187.Free and liposomal drug were separated by cation exchange resin,and then the amount of intraliposomal berberine hydrochloride was determined by UV spectrophotometry.The optimized encapsulation efficiency of berberine hydrochloride liposomes was 94.3%2.1%when the drug-to-lipid ratio was 1:20,and the mean diameter was 146.9 nm3.2 nm.As a result,the ionophore A23187-mediated ZnSO_(4)gradient method was suitable for the preparation of berberine hydrochloride liposomes that we could get the desired encapsulation efficiency and drug loading.Xiang Luo Jing Li Ligang Guo Xiaobo Cheng Ting Zhang Yihui Deng 2013Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2013,8,4:5
20Optimal waiting period for fresh embryo transfer after hysteroscopic adhesiolysis: a retrospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Very few studies have been conducted regarding the optimal time interval between hysteroscopic adhesiolysis and the embryo transfer(ET).Investigation of this optimal time may be helpful for assisted reproductive technology.Therefore,we investigated effects of the interval between hysteroscopic adhesiolysis and ET upon in vitro fertilization(IVF)cycle outcomes.Methods:Patients were recruited between January 2014 and September 2017 at the Reproductive Hospital Affiliated to Shandong University.Patients who were diagnosed with intra-uterine adhesion(IUA)and underwent hysteroscopic adhesiolysis before fresh IVF-ET or intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection cycles were classified into three groups according to the interval between hysteroscopic adhesiolysis and ET:less than 90 days(Group 1),90 to 180 days(Group 2),and greater than 180 days(Group 3).Baseline characteristics,controlled ovarian stimulation(COS)response,and pregnancy outcomes after ET were compared.Analysis of variance or non-parametric tests were used to test numerical data.The Pearson’s Chi-squared test was used to test categorical data.Results:A total of 312 patients were recruited as follows:112 in Group 1,137 in Group 2,and 63 in Group 3.There were no differences in baseline and COS characteristics among the three groups.The live-birth rate in Group 2(40.1%)was significantly higher than that in Group 1(17.9%;χ^2=14.545,P<0.001).There were no significant differences in the rates of biochemical,ongoing,and clinical pregnancy,and biochemical and clinical pregnancy abortion,as well as stillbirth among the groups.In the mild IUA patients,the live-birth rate was significantly higher in Group 2(42.6%)compared with Group 1(22%;χ^2=8.413,P=0.004).In the moderate IUA patients,Group 2(35.7%)had a higher frequency of live births than Group 1(6.7%;χ^2=8.187,P=0.004).Conclusions:The optimal waiting period for fresh ET after hysteroscopic adhesiolysis was 90 to 180 days in the current study.Ke Deng Xiao-Hua Song Xue-Mei Han Wei-Ya Kong Wei Liu Ting Han Lei Yan 2019Chinese Medical Journal2019,,19:5
