1Current global trends in the incidence of pediatric-onset inflammatory bowel disease显示文摘AIM To perform a comprehensive review and provide an up-to-date synopsis of the incidence and trends of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD). METHODS We systematically searched the MEDLINE(source Pub Med), EMBASE and Cochrane Library databases in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines(period: 1985-2018) to identify studies reporting population-based data on the incidence of pediatriconset(< 19 years at diagnosis) IBD in full manuscripts. Two authors carried out screening and data extraction. Choropleth interactive maps and temporal trends were used to illustrate the international differences and incidences of and changes in IBD and subtypes.RESULTS In total, one hundred forty studies reporting data from 38 countries were considered in this review. The highest annual pediatric incidences of IBD were 23/100000 person-years in Europe, 15.2/100000 in North America, and 11.4/100000 in Asia/the Middle East and Oceania. The highest annual incidences of Crohn's disease(CD) were 13.9/100000 in North America and 12.3/100000 in Europe. The highest annual incidences of ulcerative colitis(UC) were 15.0/100000 in Europe and 10.6/100000 in North America. The highest annual incidences of IBD-unclassified(IBD-U) were 3.6/100000 in Europe and 2.1/100000 in North America. In the time-trend analyses, 67% of CD, 46% of UC and 11% of IBD-U studies reported an increasing incidence(P < 0.05). The risk of IBD is increasing among firstgeneration of migrant populations.CONCLUSION Globally, the incidence of IBD varies greatly by geographical areas. 2Sorption of lanthanide ions on biochar composites显示文摘Sorption of lanthanum(Ⅲ), cerium(Ⅲ) and neodymium(Ⅲ) ions from the aqueous solutions of mixtures through adsorption on the biochar composites was investigated as a function of sorbent mass, pH, phase contact time and initial concentration of solutions at 295 K. The maximum removal of lanthanide ions takes place under the following conditions: 0.1 g of sorbent mass, pH 4 and 360 min contact time for all studied initial concentrations of solutions. Kinetics of La(Ⅲ), Ce(Ⅲ) and Nd(Ⅲ) ions sorption proceeded by a fast initial uptake reached equilibrium. This process was modelled by means of the pseudo first order, pseudo second order, intraparticle diffusion and Elovich models. The desorption of three lanthanide ions by nitric, hydrochloric and sulfuric acids at a concentration of 1 mol/L from biochar composites was also studied. 3T-regulatory lymphocytes in peripheral blood of gastric and colorectal cancer patients显示文摘AIM: To assess the absolute number of T-regulatory cells (Tregs; CD4+CD25+Foxp3+) in the peripheral blood of gastric and colorectal cancer patients. METHODS: We enrolled 70 cancer patients (33 gastric cancer, 37 colorectal cancer) and 17 healthy volunteers. The CD3+CD4+ lymphocytes and CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ Tregs in the peripheral blood were analyzed with flow cytometry. The absolute numbers of Tregs were calculated based on the CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ cells percent-age of CD3+CD4+ cells and the absolute numbers of CD3+CD4+ cells per microliter. RESULTS: The mean number of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ cells per microliter in colorectal cancer patients was 15.7 (SD: 21.8), for gastric cancer patients 12.2 (SD: 14.3), and for controls 17.5 (SD: 11.4). The absolute number of Tregs was significantly lower in gastric cancer patients than in controls (P = 0.026). There was no statistically significant difference for gastric vs colorectal cancer or colorectal cancer vs controls. The absolute number of Tregs was also significantly depressed in N+ vs Ncancer patients [22.0 (27.7) vs 10.1 (9.0), P = 0.013], and in the subgroup of gastric cancer patients [30.3 (27.6) vs 9.6 (8.0), P = 0.003]. No statistical difference was observed in the proportion of Tregs in the CD4+ population between the groups. 5Fatty acid changes help to better understand regression of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease显示文摘AIM: To investigate whether liver steatosis reduction due to a six-month dietary intervention results in significant changes in the concentrations of fatty acids.METHODS: A group of 35 Caucasian individuals diagnosed with different levels of steatosis were prospectively enrolled in the present study.Analysis of the fatty acid profiles was performed according to changes in liver steatosis(liver steatosis reduction by one or two degrees) after a six-month dietary intervention.The diet helped reduce body mass in obese and overweight patients,and stabilize both glycemia and dyslipidemia.Fatty acids were extracted according to the Folch method and analyzed by gas chromatography.RESULTS: This study showed significant changes in fatty acid profiles in patients who had reduced liver steatosis by one as well as two degrees.A reduction in liver steatosis by one degree caused a significant increase in the level of the n-3 family: eicosapentaenoic acid(P < 0.055),docosapentaenoic acid-C 22:5(P < 0.05) and docosahexaenoic acid(P < 0.05).A reduction in liver steatosis by two degrees caused a significant decrease in serum palmitoleic acid-C 16:1(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: Liver steatosis reduction is associated with changes in fatty acid profiles,and these changes may reflect an alteration in fatty acid synthesis and metabolism.These findings may help better understand regression of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.Dominika Maciejewska Arleta Drozd Piotr Ossowski Karina Ryterska Dominika Jamio-Milc Marcin Banaszczak Joanna Raszeja-Wyszomirska Magorzata Kaczorowska Anna Sabinicz Ewa Stachowska 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,1:4
6不同外加碳源和电子受体对生物营养盐去除工艺中反硝化和除磷过程的影响(英文)显示文摘目的:考察两种不同性质的外加碳源(乙酸钠和乙醇)在三种不同的电子受体(溶解氧、硝酸盐和亚硝酸盐)条件下对聚磷菌和异养菌的影响机制。创新点:系统研究了乙酸钠和乙醇这两种外加碳源在溶解氧、硝酸盐和亚硝酸盐三种不同电子受体条件下的释磷、吸磷及反硝化过程。方法:利用具有脱氮除磷功能的活性污泥,开展了一系列一阶段批次试验和两阶段批次试验。一阶段批次试验包括厌氧释磷试验、好氧吸磷试验、硝酸盐及亚硝酸盐利用速率(NUR)试验。两阶段批次试验包括厌氧/好氧试验、厌氧/缺氧试验。通过改变外加碳源的投加条件,如投加类型(乙酸钠和乙醇)、投加环境(厌氧、好氧和缺氧)、缺氧区电子受体(硝酸盐及亚硝酸盐),考察两种不同类型的外加碳源在不同电子受体条件下对除磷和脱氮过程的影响。结论:(1)当乙酸钠作为外加碳源时,在溶解氧、硝酸盐和亚硝酸盐三种不同电子受体条件下均发生了释磷,释磷速率分别为1.70、7.80和3.50 mg P/(g MLVSS·h)。当乙醇作为外加碳源时,三种电子受体条件下均未发现有释磷。(2)无论乙酸钠还是乙醇作为外加碳源,未经驯化的活性污泥聚磷菌均不能利用亚硝酸盐作为电子受体,25 mg NO2-N/L的亚硝酸盐完全抑制了吸磷过程的进行。(3)以硝酸盐作为电子受体时,乙酸钠和乙醇的NUR值分别为2.3和1.5 mg N/(g MLVSS·h),比亚硝酸盐作电子受体的NUR值(分别为1.2和1.0 mg N/(g MLVSS·h))分别高出92%和50%。乙酸钠作为碳源的NUR值总是比相同条件下以乙醇作为碳源的NUR值高。Xiang HU Dominika SOBOTKA Krzysztof CZERWIONKA Qi ZHOU Li XIE Jacek MAKINIA 2018Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2018,19,4:3

8Water Chemistry and Hydrometeorology in a Glacierized Catchment in the Polar Urals,Russia显示文摘This study aims to determine the relationships between local meteorological conditions,proglacial river discharge and biogeochemical processes operating in a periglacial basin located in the Polar Ural mountain range, Russia. Fieldwork was conducted in the catchment of Obruchev Glacier(13 km2) during the summer peak flow period in 2008. River discharge was dominated by snowmelt and changed from 3300 l s-1 to less than 1000 l s-1. The mean daily air temperatures of stations situated in the mountain tundra and near Obruchev Glacier from July 11 th to August 1st 2008 were 14.4°C and 10.3°C, respectively. The glacial river had low total dissolved solids varying from 4.5 to 9 mg l-1 and coefficients of correlation between Na+ and Cl-, K+ and Cl-, as well as NH4+ and Cl- were 0.94, 0.90 and 0.84, respectively. Rainfall events affected the snowmelt initiation and provided an essential part of the discharge during the intense snowmelt period, which occurred from July 11 th to July 18 th 2008. Data showed that Na+ and K+ in the surface water derived from snowmelt rather than chemical weathering of silicates. 9Moving fast, thinking fast:The relations of physical activity levels and bouts to neuroelectric indices of inhibitory control in preadolescents显示文摘Background:Structured vigorous physical activity(VPA)can improve cognitive control in children,but studies relating daily physical activity(PA)to cognitive control have yielded conflicting findings.While objectively measured daily PA summarizes all occurrences of PA within a registered period,a minimum duration of continuous PA is required for registration of a PA bout.Because brief bouts of high-intensity PA can account for a large proportion of children’s daily activity-related energy expenditure,this study assessed whether daily and bouted VPA were selectively related to cognitive control in preadolescents relative to other PA intensities.Methods:A total of 75 children between the ages of 8 and 10 years(49%girls)wore an ActiGraph wGT 3 X+on the hip for 7 days.The acceleration signal from the vertical axis was summarized over 1 s,5 s,and 15 s epochs.Daily and boutecd modercate PA,moderate-to-vigorous PA,and VPA were measured.PA bouts were expressed as the frequency and time spent in 2 different continuous PA bouts,one lasting≥10 s and the other lasting≥30 s at a given intensity.Inhibitory control was assessed using behavioral responses to a modified flanker task(mean reaction time(RTmean)and accuracy).Attentional resource allocation and co gnitive processing speed were measured using the amplitude and latency of the P3 component of event-related brain potentials,respectively.Associations between PA,behavioral indices of inhibitory control,P3 amplitude,and latency were assessed using hierarchical regression models.Results:Daily VPA was not related to RTmean or accuracy on either congruent or incongruent trials.In contrast,more time spent in VPA bouts lasting≥30 s predicted shorter P3 latency across epochs and flanker congruencies(allβ≤-0.24,all p≤0.04).The associations between shorter P3 latency and the time spent in moderate-to-vigorous PA bouts lasting≥30 s were less consistent and largely limited to congruent trials(congruent:β(-0.3 1,-0.34)).No significant associations were observed upon correction for false discovery rate.Conclusion:The pattern of uncorrected associations aligns with the dose-response literature and suggests that brief VPA bouts may yield the greatest benefits to cognitive processing speed in preadolescents.Future studies using measures of brain structure and function are needed to understand the mechanisms linking bouted VPA to neurocognitive function during childhood.Dominika M.Pindus Eric S.Drollette Lauren B.Raine Shih-Chun Kao Naiman Khan Daniel R.Westfall Morgan Hamill Rebecca Shorin Emily Calobrisi Dinesh John Arthur F.Kramer Charles H.Hillman 2019Journal of Sport and Health Science2019,8,4:2
10Highlights of the 2nd International Symposium on Tribbles and Diseases: tribbles tremble in therapeutics for immunity, metabolism, fundamental cell biology and cancer显示文摘The Tribbles(TRIB) family of pseudokinase proteins has been shown to play key roles in cell cycle, metabolic diseases, chronic inflammatory disease, and cancer development. A better understanding of the mechanisms of TRIB pseudokinases could provide new insights for disease development and help promote TRIB proteins as novel therapeutic targets for drug discovery. At the 2 nd International Symposium on Tribbles and Diseases held on May 7–9, 2018 in Beijing, China, a group of leading Tribbles scientists reported their findings and ongoing studies about the effects of the different TRIB proteins in the areas of immunity, metabolism, fundamental cell biology and cancer. Here, we summarize important and insightful overviews from 4 keynote lectures, 13 plenary lectures and 8 short talks that took place during this meeting. 20Prevalence of IFNL3 rs4803217 single nucleotide polymorphism and clinical course of chronic hepatitis C显示文摘AIM To evaluate the association of IFNL3(IL28B) SNP rs4803217 with severity of disease and treatment outcome in chronic hepatitis C(CHC).METHODS The study enrolled 196 CHC Polish patients(82 women and 114 men in age 20-64) infected with hepatitis C virus(HCV) genotype 1. They were treatment na?ve and qualified to pegylated interferon alpha(PEG-IFN-α) and ribavirin(RBV) therapy. The analyzed baseline parameters included: degree of inflammation, stage of fibrosis, viral load as well as alanine aminotransferase(ALT), asparagine aminotransferase(AST) and total bilirubin(TBIL). The analysis of response to therapy included: sustained virological response(SVR), defined as undetectable serum HCV RNA level six month after completion of 48-wk therapy, and relapse, defined as achieving undetectable viral load at the end of treatment but not SVR. HCV genotyping and HCV RNA quantification were performed using commercially available tests. DNA was isolated from peripheral blood mononuclear cells or from buccal cell swabs. In addition to rs4803217, also single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)(rs12979860, rs8099917 and rs12980275) of known significance in predicting of HCV clearance were analyzed. SNPs were determined by high resolution melt analysis and confirmed by sequencing of amplicons. RESULTS Frequency of rs4803217 genotypes in studied group was as follows: 27.55%; 54.59% and 17.86% for CC, CA and AA, respectively. The rs4803217 SNP, similar to other analyzed SNPs, was not associated with severity of CHC(grade of inflammation, stage of fibrosis, baseline viral load as well as biochemical parameters: ALT, AST, TBIL). It was demonstrated that the rs4803217 C allele is associated with SVR(C vs A: P < 0.0001; dose of C allele: P = 0.0002) and nonrelapse(C vs A: P = 0.001; dose of C allele: P = 0.002). Moreover, it was found that patients with CC genotype have significantly higher response rates as compared with CA/AA patients(P < 0.0001), whereas patients carrying A allele are significantly predisposed to relapse after treatment(P = 0.0007). Moreover, the association of rs4803217 with SVR was comparable to that of rs12979860 and stronger as observed for rs12980275 and rs8099917. Association of rs4803217 with relapse, was the strongest as compared with the other SNPs. The analysis of combined rs4803217 and rs8099917 genotypes demonstrated that additional genotyping of rs8099917 had no significant impact on the prediction of SVR. Multivariate analysis revealed that among analyzed SNPs only rs4803217 is an independent predictor of SVR(P = 0.016) and relapse(P = 0.024).
