1Wheat breeding history reveals synergistic selection of pleiotropic genomic sites for plant architecture and grain yield显示文摘Diversity surveys of crop germplasm are important for gaining insights into the genomic basis for plant architecture and grain yield improvement,which is still poorly understood in wheat.In this study,we exome sequenced 287 wheat accessions that were collected in the past 100 years.Population genetics analysis identified that 6.7%of the wheat genome falls within the selective sweeps between landraces and cultivars,which harbors the genes known for yield improvement.These regions were asymmetrically distributed on the A and B subgenomes with regulatory genes being favorably selected.Genome-wide association study(GWAS)identified genomic loci associated with traits for yield potential,and two underlying genes,TaARF12 encoding an auxin response factor and TaDEP1 encoding the G-proteinγ-subunit,were located and characterized to pleiotropically regulate both plant height and grain weight.Elite single-nucleotide haplotypes with increased allele frequency in cultivars relative to the landraces were identified and found to have accumulated over the course of breeding.Interestingly,we found that TaARF12 and TaDEP1 function in epistasis with the classical plant height Rht-1 locus,leading to propose a“Green Revolution”-based working model for historical wheat breeding.Collectively,our study identifies selection signatures that fine-tune the gibberellin pathway during modern wheat breeding and provides a wealth of genomic diversity resources for the wheat research community.Aili Li Chenyang Hao Zhenyu Wang Shuaifeng Geng Meiling Jia Fang Wang Xiang Han Xingchen Kong Lingjie Yin Shu Tao Zhongyin Deng Ruyi Liao Guoliang Sun Ke Wang Xingguo Ye Chengzhi Jiao Hongfeng Lu Yun Zhou Dengcai Liu Xiangdong Fu Xueyong Zhang Long Mao 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,3:4
2Magnetically levitated/piezoelectric/triboelectric hybrid generator as a power supply for the temperature sensor显示文摘The combination of new intelligent materials and structure technology is becoming an effective way in energy havesting and self-powered sensing. In this work, we demonstrate a magnetically levitated/piezoelectric/triboelectric hybrid generator, which does not use complex structure and has high steady output performance. It includes three parts: magnetically levitated generator(MLG), piezoelectric generator(PNG), triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG). The peak power of each is 135 μW, 22 mW and3.6 mW, which are obtained at 1 MΩ, 10 kΩ and 1 kΩ, respectively. The hybrid generator can completely light up light-emitting diodes(LEDs) under the vibration frequency of 20 Hz and the vibration amplitude of 10 mm. It also can charge a 470 μF capacitor.On this basis, we have integrated the hybrid generaor as a power supply into a self-powered tempreature sensing system. 5A rice XANTHINE DEHYDROGENASE gene regulates leaf senescence and response to abiotic stresses显示文摘Xanthine dehydrogenase, a member of the molybdenum enzyme family, participates in purine metabolism and catalyzes the generation of ureides from xanthine and hypoxanthine. However, the mechanisms by which xanthine dehydrogenase affects rice growth and development are poorly understood. In the present study, we identified a mutant with early leaf senescence and reduced tillering that we named early senescence and less-tillering 1(esl1). Map-based cloning revealed that ESL1 encodes a xanthine dehydrogenase, and it was expressed in all tissues. Chlorophyll content was reduced and chloroplast maldevelopment was severe in the esl1 mutant. Mutation of ESL1 led to decreases in allantoin, allantoate, and ABA contents. Further analysis revealed that the accumulation of reactive oxygen species in esl1 resulted in decreased photosynthesis and impaired chloroplast development, along with increased sensitivity to abscisic acid and abiotic stresses. 6A joint call for actions to advance taxonomy in China显示文摘Taxonomy plays an important role in understanding the origin, evolution, and ecological functionality of biodiversity. There are large number of unknown species yet to be described by taxonomists, which together with their ecosystem services cannot be effectively protected prior to description. Despite this, taxonomy has been increasingly underrated insufficient funds and permanent positions to retain young talents. Further, the impact factordriven evaluation systems in China exacerbate this downward trend, so alternative evaluation metrics are urgently necessary. When the current generation of outstanding taxonomists retires,there will be too few remaining taxonomists left to train the next generation. 11Flow and magnetic structures in a kinematic ABC-dynamo显示文摘Dynamo theory describes the magnetic field induced by the rotating,convecting and electrically conducting fluid in a celestial body.The classical ABC-flow model represents fast dynamo action,required to sustain such a magnetic field.In this letter,Lagrangian coherent structures(LCSs)in the ABC-flow are detected through Finite-time Lyapunov exponents(FTLE).The flow skeleton is identified by extracting intersections between repelling and attracting LCSs.For the case A=B=C=1,the skeleton structures are made up from lines connecting two different types of stagnation points in the ABC-flow.The corresponding kinematic ABC-dynamo problem is solved using a spectral method,and the distribution of cigar-like magnetic structures visualized.Inherent links are found to exist between LCSs in the ABC-flow and induced magnetic structures,which provides insight into the mechanism behind the ABC-dynamo.Tao Zhang ZhiLiang Lin ChenYang Huang Alistair G.L.Borthwick 2020Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,8:1

15Rationale and Study Design for Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Intracardiac Echocardiography-Guided Minimal-Fluoroscopy Ablation in Patients with Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation:A Non-Inferior,Multi-Center,Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial(PAF-ICE Trial)显示文摘The feasibility and safety of intracardiac echocardiography(ICE)-guided catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation(AF)using a minimal/zero-fluoroscopy approach have recently been reported.This approach helps to reduce ionizing radiation exposure and orthopedic complications resulting from using lead aprons.The objectives of this planned prospective,multicenter randomized controlled trial(RCT)(paroxysmal AF(PAF)-ICE trial;ChiCTR2000033624)are to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ICE-guided minimal-fluoroscopy ablation in patients with PAF and the impact on occupational hazards among lab staff.Patients will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to 2 groups:minimal fluoroscopy group(n=216)and traditional approach group(n=216).In the minimal fluoroscopy group,an ICE catheter will be used for geometry/anatomic construction,transseptal puncture,catheter tracking,and effusion monitoring.Pulmonary vein isolation(PVI)will be performed using an open-irrigated radiofrequency SmartTouch Surround Flow or SmartTouch catheter(Biosense Webster,Diamond Bar,California,USA),and confirmed by a multipolar Lasso or PentaRay catheter(Biosense Webster).In the traditional approach group,an ICE catheter will not be used.Transseptal puncture will be performed under fluoroscopic guidance,with all geometries constructed by mapping the catheters.The primary efficacy endpoint is freedom from AF recurrence(without antiarrhythmic medications)at 12months after ablation.Other endpoints include duration of lead apron use,measures of intra-procedural efficiency,and peri-procedural complications.This RCT will evaluate the efficacy and safety of ICE-guided minimal-fluoroscopy ablation in patients with PAF,also evaluate the benefits to lab staff(regarding reducing occupational hazards)related to this“minimal/zero-fluoroscopy”and“leadless”mode.Ruhong Jiang Xingpeng Liu Jidong Zhang Yu Chen Rui Wang Mengzuo Wu Deyong Long Jia Li Haixiong Wang Jie Fan Weizhu Ju Weili Ge Xu Liu Hai Deng Weijian Wang Pingzhen Yang Ding Li Xiaobo Huang Xiongtao Liu Hailong Tao Paul CZei Roderick Tung Xunzhang Wang Chenyang Jiang 2021Cardiology Discovery2021,1,4:1

17A novel numerical simulation method for predicting compressive properties of 3D multiaxial braided composites considering various defects显示文摘This paper reports a novel manufacturing process of preparing the Three-Dimensional Multiaxial Braided Composites(3DMBCs) and the effects of various defects generated in the manufacturing process on the compressive mechanical properties of 3DMBCs through the experimental and numerical methods. The five-step fabrication process of the 3D multiaxial braided preform was firstly introduced in detail. Then, the influences of various defects such as voids, waviness, and fiber breakage defects on the compressive properties of 3DMBCs were discussed. It is found that the fiber breakage defect and waviness defects were the two primary factors on the decrease of compressive properties of 3DMBCs. However, void defects in the resin and interface had little effect on the composites. When the fiber breakage defect content was 25% and the waviness was 7°, the composite compressive modulus decreased by 51%. 19Comprehensive analysis of complement-associated molecular features in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘The complement cascade plays a“complementing”role in human immunity.However,the potential roles of complement system in impacting molecular and clinical features of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remain unclear.In this study,eleven public datasets are analyzed to compare the complement status between normal and cancerous samples based on 18 classical complement-associated genes.The complement scores are constructed to quantify complement signatures of individual tumors.HCC patients in the The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)cohort are focused to perform systematical analyses between complement status and immune infiltration,miRNA expression,DNA methylation,clinicopathological features,and drug response.The results show that the complement scores in normal tissues are dramatically higher than those of tumor tissues.Tumor samples in the TCGA cohort are classified into complement score-low and score-high groups.Pathway analysis reveals that tumor-promoting pathways are typically inhibited in complement score-high group.This study also shows that tumor-killing immune cells,such as CD8^(+)T cells and natural killer cells are abundant and tumor-suppressing miRNAs are upregulated in complement score-high samples.In addition,we identify that complement scores are negatively correlated with certain clinical features,including pathological grade,clinical-stage,and portal vein invasion.Moreover,various molecular features together with complement scores are found to be correlated with response to anti-cancer drugs.This study provides a comprehensive and multidimensional analysis conducive to understanding the role of complement in cancer.Run Huang Guiqi Zhu Xiutao Fu Weiren Liu Chenyang Tao Jun Gao Weifeng Qu Yuan Fang Xifei Jiang Zhenbin Ding Jian Zhou Yinghong Shi Jia Fan Zheng Tang 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,11:0
20High performance flexible energy storage device based on copper foam supported NiMoO4 nanosheets-CNTs-CuO nanowires composites with core–shell holey nanostructure显示文摘Because of the intensified electrochemical activities,mixed metal oxides as a representative for pseudocapacitive materials play a key role for high performance supercapacitor electrodes.Nevertheless,low ion and electron transfer rate and poor cycling performance in the electrode practically restrict further promotion of their electrochemical performance.In order to offset the defect,a novel copper(Cu)foamsupported nickel molybdate nanosheet decorated carbon nanotube wrapped copper oxide nanowire array(NiMoO4 NSs-CNTs-CuO NWAs/Cu foam)flexible electrode is constructed.The as-prepared electrode demonstrates a unique core-shell holey nanostructure with a large active surface area,which can provide a large number of active sites for redox reactions.Besides,the CNTs networks supply improved conductivity,which can hasten electron transport.Through this simple and efficient design method,the spatial distribution of each component in the flexible electrode is more orderly,short and fast electron transport path with low intrinsic resistance.As a result,the NiMoO4 NSs-CNTs-CuO NWAs/Cu foam as an adhesiveless supercapacitor electrode material exhibits excellent ene rgy storage perfo rmance with high specific areal capacitance of 23.40 F cm^(-2)at a current density of 2 mA cm^(-2),which outperforms most of the flexible electrodes re ported recently.The assembled asymmetric supercapacitor demonstrates an energy density up to 96.40 mW h cm^(-3)and a power density up to 0.4 W cm^(-3)under a working voltage window of 1.7 V.In addition,outstanding flexibility of up to 100°bend and good cycling stability with the capacitance retention of 82.53%after 10,000 cycles can be obtained.Pingping Yao Chenyang Li Jiali Yu Shuo Zhang Meng Zhang Huichao Liu Muwei Ji Guangtao Cong Tao Zhang Caizhen Zhu Jian Xu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,26:0
