| 1 | Development of systems for detection,early warning,and control of pipeline leakage in drinking water distribution:A case study显示文摘Water leakage in drinking water distribution systems is a serious problem for many cities and a huge challenge for water utilities.An integrated system for the detection,early warning,and control of pipeline leakage has been developed and successfully used to manage the pipeline networks in selected areas of Beijing.A method based on the geographic information system has been proposed to quickly and automatically optimize the layout of the instruments which detect leaks.Methods are also proposed to estimate the probability of each pipe segment leaking (on the basis of historic leakage data),and to assist in locating the leakage points (based on leakage signals).The district metering area (DMA) strategy is used.Guidelines and a flowchart for establishing a DMA to manage the large-scale looped networks in Beijing are proposed.These different functions have been implemented into a central software system to simplify the day-to-day use of the system.In 2007 the system detected 102 non-obvious leakages (i.e.,14.2% of the total detected in Beijing) in the selected areas,which was estimated to save a total volume of 2,385,000 m 3 of water.These results indicate the feasibility,efficiency and wider applicability of this system. | Weifeng Li Wencui Ling Suoxiang Liu Jing Zhao Ruiping Liu Qiuwen Chen Zhimin Qiang Jiuhui Qu | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11: | 6 |

| 7 | Comparing the accuracy of Demirjian and Nolla methods and establishing a new method for dental age estimation in northeastern Chinese children显示文摘Dental age estimation plays an important role in the field of clinic medicine and forensic medicine.The Demirjian and Nolla methods are common scoring methods for dental age estimation but there was no research about the comparison of accuracy of these two methods in northeastern Chinese children.Hence,in this study,we compared the accuracy of these two methods to explore more suitable method for our studied population.We collected 535 orthopantomograms from northern Chinese children aged from 6 to 15 years and divided them into training dataset and testing dataset according to the ratio of 7:3.The dental age of training dataset were estimated using Demirjian and Nolla methods,respectively.The results suggested that the mean differences of these two methods were 0.24 and−0.40 years,and mean absolute difference were 0.65 and 0.59 years.Then to further improve the accuracy of dental age assessment,the new improved formulas and dental age conversion tables were established after analyzing the relationship between the sum scores based on Nolla method and chronology age in training dataset.According to the new method used in testing dataset,the minimum value of mean difference(0.00)and mean absolute difference(0.49)were obtained,which are largely smaller than that of Demirjian and Nolla methods.The new developed method and dental age conversion scales may be more suitable dental age estimation method for northeastern Chinese children. | Dan Wen Zhiyu Ding Zhikai Tian Wenshuang Wu Weifeng Qu Wei He Chudong Wang Jienan Li Lagabaiyila Zha Ying Liu | 2022 | Forensic Sciences Research2022,7,4: | 0 |
| 8 | Comprehensive analysis of complement-associated molecular features in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘The complement cascade plays a“complementing”role in human immunity.However,the potential roles of complement system in impacting molecular and clinical features of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remain unclear.In this study,eleven public datasets are analyzed to compare the complement status between normal and cancerous samples based on 18 classical complement-associated genes.The complement scores are constructed to quantify complement signatures of individual tumors.HCC patients in the The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)cohort are focused to perform systematical analyses between complement status and immune infiltration,miRNA expression,DNA methylation,clinicopathological features,and drug response.The results show that the complement scores in normal tissues are dramatically higher than those of tumor tissues.Tumor samples in the TCGA cohort are classified into complement score-low and score-high groups.Pathway analysis reveals that tumor-promoting pathways are typically inhibited in complement score-high group.This study also shows that tumor-killing immune cells,such as CD8^(+)T cells and natural killer cells are abundant and tumor-suppressing miRNAs are upregulated in complement score-high samples.In addition,we identify that complement scores are negatively correlated with certain clinical features,including pathological grade,clinical-stage,and portal vein invasion.Moreover,various molecular features together with complement scores are found to be correlated with response to anti-cancer drugs.This study provides a comprehensive and multidimensional analysis conducive to understanding the role of complement in cancer. | Run Huang Guiqi Zhu Xiutao Fu Weiren Liu Chenyang Tao Jun Gao Weifeng Qu Yuan Fang Xifei Jiang Zhenbin Ding Jian Zhou Yinghong Shi Jia Fan Zheng Tang | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,11: | 0 |
| 9 | Stabilizing Pickering Emulsions Using Octenyl Succinic Anhydride Modified with Cellulose Nanofibrils显示文摘In this study,(2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl)oxyl-mediated(TEMPO-mediated)oxidized cellulose nanofibrils(TOCNFs)modified with octenyl succinic anhydride(OSA)to improve their hydrophobicity and emulsification performance were investigated.OSA loadings of 9.87-14.81 mmol/g(base on oven-dry weight of TOCNFs)were explored during modification,and the obtained OSA-modified TOCNFs(TOCNF-OSA)were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,and thermogravimetric analysis.Additionally,the emulsification performance of TOCNF-OSA was also investigated in the preparation of the Pickering emulsion.The results demonstrated that the molecular chain of OSA was successfully grafted onto the backbone of TOCNFs during modification.With an increase in OSA loading,the content of the carboxyl group of the modified TOCNF-OSA increased significantly while the Zeta potential decreased.Moreover,a degree of substitution of 0.95 could be achieved at an OSA loading of 14.81 mmol/g.During the preparation of Pickering emulsions,compared with original TOCNFs,the modified TOCNF-OSA significantly improved the stability and dispersibility of the Pickering emulsion.This study demonstrated a promising approach for the modification of the Pickering emulsion to produce an eco-friendly emulsifier with superior performance for use in the food industry. | Jialei Qu Langman Luo Weifeng Zhang Shao Geng Chunping Wang An Wang Yangbing Wen | 2022 | Paper And Biomaterials2022,7,3: | 0 |
| 10 | A trajectory summarisation gener显示文摘The semantic representation of the trajectory is conducive to enrich the content oftrajectory data mining. A trajectory summarisation generation method based on themobile robot behaviour analysis was proposed to realize the abstract expression andsemantic representation of the spatio-temporal motion features of the robot and itsenvironmental interaction state. First, the behavioural semantic modelling and representationof the mobile robot are completed by modelling the sub-trajectory andcalculating the topological behaviour (TOP). Second, Chinese word segmentation andsemantic slot filling methods are used to combine with hierarchical clustering to performbasic word extraction and classification for describing trajectory sentences. Then, thedescription language frame is extracted based on the TOP, and the final trajectorysummarisation is generated. The result shows that the proposed method can semanticallyrepresent robot behaviours with different motion features and topological features,extract two verb-frameworks for describing the sentences according to their topologicalfeatures, and dynamically adjust the syntactic structure for the different topological behavioursbetween the target and the environment. | 12 | Risk factors for post-hepatectomy liver dysfunction in primary liver cancer patients with concurrent hepatic schistosomiasis and chronic hepatitis显示文摘Objective:The purpose of this study was to analyze risk factors for development of post-hepatectomy liver dysfunction in primary liver cancer(PLC)patients with concurrent hepatic schistosomiasis and chronic hepatitis.Methods:A retrospective analysis of 73 PLC patients with concurrent hepatic schistosomiasis and chronic hepatitis,of which 16 patients developed liver dysfunction(persistent ascites or pleural effusion or occurrence of liver-related potentially fatal complications)following hepatectomy,was performed.After clinical characteristics were recorded,preoperative liver function parameters and surgery-related parameters in these patients were assessed.Seventeen potential risk factors for post-hepatectomy liver dysfunction were identified.The association between these potential risk factors and post-hepatectomy liver dysfunction then was analyzed.Results:Univariate analysis showed that liver cirrhosis,intraoperative blood loss,and preoperative total bilirubin were associated with the development of post-hepatectomy liver dysfunction.Multivariate logistic regression analysis of these three factors revealed that intraoperative blood loss≥600 mL and cirrhosis were two independent risk factors for post-hepatectomy liver dysfunction in PLC patients with concurrent hepatic schistosomiasis and chronic hepatitis.Conclusion:Keeping intraoperative blood loss below 600 mL can help avoid the development of post-hepatectomy liver dysfunction in liver cancer patients with concurrent hepatic schistosomiasis and chronic hepatitis.For patients with concomitant liver cirrhosis,every effort should be made to minimize potential liver function impairment induced by other adverse factors. | ZHANG Minfeng SHEN Weifeng ZHONG Wei LIU Qu SHEN Rongxi YANG Jiamei | 2013 | Journal of Medical Colleges of PLA(China)2013,28,4: | 0 |
| 13 | Multiomics analysis reveals metabolic subtypes and identifies diacylglycerol kinase α (DGKA) as a potential therapeutic target for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma显示文摘Background:Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(iCCA)is a highly heteroge-neous and lethal hepatobiliary tumor with few therapeutic strategies.The metabolic reprogramming of tumor cells plays an essential role in the develop-ment of tumors,while the metabolic molecular classification of iCCA is largely unknown.Here,we performed an integrated multiomics analysis and metabolic classification to depict differences in metabolic characteristics of iCCA patients,hoping to provide a novel perspective to understand and treat iCCA.Methods:We performed integrated multiomics analysis in 116 iCCA samples,including whole-exome sequencing,bulk RNA-sequencing and proteome anal-ysis.Based on the non-negative matrix factorization method and the protein abundance of metabolic genes in human genome-scale metabolic models,the metabolic subtype of iCCA was determined.Survival and prognostic gene analy-ses were used to compare overall survival(OS)differences between metabolic subtypes.Cell proliferation analysis,5-ethynyl-2’-deoxyuridine(EdU)assay,colony formation assay,RNA-sequencing and Western blotting were performed to investigate the molecular mechanisms of diacylglycerol kinaseα(DGKA)in iCCA cells.Results:Three metabolic subtypes(S1-S3)with subtype-specific biomarkers of iCCA were identified.These metabolic subtypes presented with distinct prog-noses,metabolic features,immune microenvironments,and genetic alterations.The S2 subtype with the worst survival showed the activation of some special metabolic processes,immune-suppressed microenvironment and Kirsten ratsar-coma viral oncogene homolog(KRAS)/AT-rich interactive domain 1A(ARID1A)mutations.Among the S2 subtype-specific upregulated proteins,DGKA was further identified as a potential drug target for iCCA,which promoted cell proliferation by enhancing phosphatidic acid(PA)metabolism and activating mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling.Conclusion:Viamultiomics analyses,we identified three metabolic subtypes of iCCA,revealing that the S2 subtype exhibited the poorest survival outcomes.We further identified DGKA as a potential target for the S2 subtype. | Weiren Liu Huqiang Wang Qianfu Zhao Chenyang Tao Weifeng Qu Yushan Hou Run Huang Zimei Sun Guiqi Zhu Xifei Jiang Yuan Fang Jun Gao Xiaoling Wu Zhixiang Yang Rongyu Ping Jiafeng Chen Rui Yang Tianhao Chu Jian Zhou Jia Fan Zheng Tang Dong Yang Yinghong Shi | 2024 | Cancer Communications2024,44,2: | 0 |
