| 1 | Potential antibacterial activity of berberine against multi drug resistant enterovirulent Escherichia coli isolated from yaks(Poephagus grunniens) with haemorrhagic diarrhoea显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy of berberine,a plant alkaloid.Methods:Five multi-drug resistant(MDR) STEC/EPEC and five MDR ETEC isolates from yaks with haemorrhagic diarrhoea were selected for the study.Antibacterial activity of berberine was evaluated by broth dilution and disc diffusion methods.The binding kinetics of berberine to DNA and protein was also enumerated.Results:For both categories of enterovirulent Escherichia coli(E.roli) isolates, berberine displayed the antibaclerial effect in a dose dependent manner.The MIC50 of berberine chloride for STEC/EPEC isolates varied from 2.07μM to 3.6μM with a mean of(2.95±0.33)μM where as for ETEC strains it varied from 1.75 to 1.96μM with a mean of(1.87±0.03)μM. | 2 | 一株新的高效偶氮染料脱色菌Paenibacillus dendritiformis GGJ7及其脱色作用显示文摘从刚果红染料中分离到一株刚果红高效脱色菌,经16S r RNA基因序列(NCBI accession No.KY655213)鉴定,该菌株属于类芽孢杆菌(Paenibacillus),将该菌株命名为Paenibacillus dendritiformis GGJ7(简写为GGJ7).将其运用于偶氮染料脱色,并研究不同营养条件、不同培养条件(温度、pH、溶解氧)和不同染料下的脱色性能.结果表明,GGJ7对刚果红脱色效果远高于以前工作中分离到的YRJ1、YRJ2等8株同样具有脱色功能的细菌;该菌株脱色的最佳条件为30℃、pH 7、25 g/L LB培养基厌氧培养;其脱色机理以生物降解为主,且脱色过程符合一级反应动力学方程:-ln(A_t/A_0)=0.6058t-0.1082.经测试,GGJ7对多种偶氮染料的脱色率高达95%,其中50 mg/L甲基橙、25 mg/L藏花猩红和25 mg/L甲基红仅需1 h,50 mg/L橙黄G和50 mg/L橙黄G6仅需3 h,50 mg/L刚果红仅需4 h.可见GGJ7是一株高效偶氮染料脱色菌,具有处理印染废水的开发应用潜能. | 甘国娟 田红灯 潘永龙 Asit Mazumder 潘响亮 梁岩 | 2018 | 应用与环境生物学报2018,24,3: | 6 |
| 3 | Analysis of some critical aspects in hot machining of Ti-5553 superalloy: Experimental and FE analysis显示文摘In this study, a newly developed titanium superalloy, i.e., the Ti-5553 alloy has used for hot machining. This material replaced Ti-grade-5 alloy in the application of aerospace, automobile, and biomedical sector. However, similar to Ti-grade-5 alloy, the Ti-5553 alloy has a low thermal conductivity which makes it difficult-to-cut material categories hence, high tool wear, cutting force and bad surface finish. Hot machining of Ti-5553 has been studied at different machining condition (room and hot) using Deform-2D finite element analysis. The result from the simulation test was compared with the experimental value and reduction of cutting and thrust forces was observed. The experiment was carried out with the same input parameters as simulation, and good coherence between them observed. | 5 | Curcuma angustifolia ameliorates carbon tetrachloride-induced hepatotoxicity in HepG2 cells and Swiss albino rats显示文摘Objective:To determine the antioxidant and hepatoprotective potential of methanol extract of rhizome of Curcuma angustifolia(MECA)against carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)-induced hepatic damage in vitro and in vivo.Methods:DPPH,ABTS and reducing power assays were performed to estimate the antioxidant effect of MECA.In vitro cytotoxicity of MECA against HepG2 cells was evaluated,whereas serum biochemical parameters and levels of antioxidative enzymes were measured in vivo and in vitro.Additionally,histopathological studies were estimated in order to investigate the hepatoprotective efficacy of MECA.Furthermore,GC-MS analysis of the extract was performed to identify the chemical components.Results:MECA exhibited strong antioxidant activity and attenuated CCl4-induced decrease in the viability of HepG2 cells.Additionally,MECA significantly restored the ALT,AST,ALP,TP and albumin level in comparison with the CCl4 group.After pre-treatment with MECA,effects of SOD,CAT and GSH were increased as well as lipid peroxidation amount decreased on CCl4-induced hepatotoxicity in in vitro and in vivo model.Furthermore,histopathological observation confirmed that MECA reduced liver injury induced by CCl4 in rats.GC-MS analysis confirmed the presence of bioactive constituents such as α-tocopherol(12.27%),phytol(7.61%),squalene(3.71%),β-sitosterol(2.19%),eugenol(2.59%),curcumenol(1.20%),β-elemene(1.00%)and eucalyptol(0.89%).Conclusions:MECA contains antioxidant and hepatoprotective constituents such asα-tocopherol,phytol,squalene and eugenol and exerts hepatoprotective effect both in vitro and in vivo. | Sudipta Jena Asit Ray Diptirani Rath Ambika Sahoo Subhashree Singh Noohi Nasim Durga Madhab Kar Sanghamitra Nayak | 2019 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2019,12,9: | 2 |

| 9 | Automatic Classification of Cardiac Arrhythmias Based on Hybrid Features and Decision Tree Algorithm显示文摘Accurate classification of cardiac arrhythmias is a crucial task because of the non-stationary nature of electrocardiogram(ECG)signals.In a life-threatening situation,an automated system is necessary for early detection of beat abnormalities in order to reduce the mortality rate.In this paper,we propose an automatic classification system of ECG beats based on the multi-domain features derived from the ECG signals.The experimental study was evaluated on ECG signals obtained from the MIT-BIH Arrhythmia Database.The feature set comprises eight empirical mode decomposition(EMD)based features,three features from variational mode decomposition(VMD)and four features from RR intervals.In total,15 features are ranked according to a ranker search approach and then used as input to the support vector machine(SVM)and C4.5 decision tree classifiers for classifying six types of arrhythmia beats.The proposed method achieved best result in C4.5 decision tree classifier with an accuracy of 98.89%compared to cubic-SVM classifier which achieved an accuracy of 95.35%only.Besides accuracy measures,all other parameters such as sensitivity(Se),specificity(Sp)and precision rates of 95.68%,99.28%and 95.8%was achieved better in C4.5 classifier.Also the computational time of 0.65 s with an error rate of 0.11 was achieved which is very less compared to SVM.The multi-domain based features with decision tree classifier obtained the best results in classifying cardiac arrhythmias hence the system could be used efficiently in clinical practices. | Santanu Sahoo Asit Subudhi Manasa Dash Sukanta Sabut | 2020 | International Journal of Automation and computing2020,17,4: | 2 |

We report a case of schwannoma within the parotid gland in a young female patient, who underwent ultrasound and magnetic resonanceimaging(MRI) and subsequent surgical excision of the lesion.
