| 2 | Ultrasound enhanced heterogeneous activation of peroxydisulfate by bimetallic Fe-Co/GAC catalyst for the degradation of Acid Orange 7 in water显示文摘Bimetallic Fe-Co/GAC(granular activated carbon) was prepared and used as heterogeneous catalyst in the ultrasound enhanced heterogeneous activation of peroxydisulfate(PS, S2O2-8) process. The effect of initial pH, PS concentration, catalyst addition and stirring rate on the decolorization of Acid Orange 7(AO7) was investigated. The results showed that the decolorization efficiency increased with an increase in PS concentration from 0.3 to 0.5 g/L and an increase in catalyst amount from 0.5 to 0.8g/L. But further increase in PS concentration and catalyst addition would result in an unpronounced increase in decolorization efficiency. In the range of 300 to 900 r/min, stirring rate had little effect on AO7 decolorization. | 6 | Pyrolysis of oil at high temperatures:Gas potentials,chemical and carbon isotopic signatures显示文摘Although the gas cracked from oil has been believed to be one of the important sources in highly matured marine basins, there are still some debates on its resource potentials and chemical and isotopic compositions. In this study a Cambrian-sourced marine oil sample from the Silurian reservoir of well TZ62 in the central Tarim basin was pyrolyzed using sealed gold tubes with two different pyrolysis schemes: continuous pyrolysis in a closed system and stepwise semi-open pyrolysis. The results show that the maximum weight yield of C1-5 gases occurs at EasyRo=2.3% and the residual gas poten-tial after this maturity is only 43.4 mL/g, about 12% of the yield of 361 mL/g at EasyRo=2.3%. Combined with the results of kinetic modeling, the main stage of gas generation from oil cracking is believed within the EasyRo=1.6%―2.3%. The increase in the volume yield of C1-5 gases at EasyRo>2.3% in a closed system is mainly related to the re-cracking of previously formed C2-5 wet gases, not the direct cracking of oil. The stepwise pyrolysis experiments show that the gas from the cracking of residual oil at EasyRo>2.3% is characterized by very high dryness index (higher than 92%) and heavy methane carbon isotopes ranging from ?28.7‰ to ?26.7‰, which is quite different from the gases from the con-tinuous pyrolysis in a closed system. The kinetic modeling of methane carbon isotope fractionation shows that the carbon isotopes of methane within the main stage of gas generation (EasyRo<2.3%) are far lighter than the carbon isotopes of the precursor oils under a geological heating rate of 2 ℃ /Ma. | 8 | Combination Mechanism and Enhanced Visible-Light Photocatalytic Activity and Stability of CdS/g-C3N4 Heterojunctions显示文摘In this study,CdS/g-C_3N_4(CSCN) heterojunctions were in situ fabricated with a large amount of Cd S nanoparticles anchored on g-C_3N_4 nanosheets.A wet chemical method was developed for the first time to determine the actual content of Cd S in CSCN composites.X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectra(FTIR),high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM) and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra(DRS) were employed to characterize the composition,structure and optical property of CSCN composites.Based on the isoelectric point(IEP) analysis of g-C_3N_4,a conclusion was obtained on the combination mechanism between Cd S nanoparticles and g-C_3N_4 nanosheets.The photocatalytic activity of CSCN composites was much better than those of individual Cd S and g-C_3N_4 for the degradation of azo dye Methyl Orange(MO) by 40 min adsorption in the dark followed by 15 min photocatalysis under visible light irradiation.After 5 cycles,CSCN composites still maintained high reactive activity with the MO degradation efficiency of 93.8%,exhibiting good photocatalytic stability.The Cd2+concentration dissolved in the supernatant detected by atomic absorption spectroscopy(AAS) of CSCN composites was lower than that of pure Cd S,implying that the photocorrosion of Cd S could be suppressed via the combination with g-C_3N_4.Photoluminescence emission spectra(PL) results clearly revealed that the recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs in CSCN composites was effectively inhibited due to the formation of heterojunctions.Based on the band alignments of g-C_3N_4 and Cd S,the possible photocatalytic mechnism was discussed. | Huanyan Xu Licheng Wu Liguo Jin Kejia Wu | 2017 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,1: | 10 |

| 10 | Microstructure, mechanical properties and deformation mechanisms of an as-cast Mg–Zn–Y–Nd–Zr alloy for stent applications显示文摘A new Mg-2Zn-0.2Y -0.5N d-0.4Zr (wt%) alloy designed specially for stent applications has been developed. The as-cast alloy is featured with equiaxed grains with a mean size of about 40 μm and a small am ount of second phase (T phase) distributed discontinuously either at the grain boundaries or inside the grains. This alloy exhibits a tensile elongation of up to 35%, which is much larger than that of most reported other as-cast Mg alloys. The tensile deform ation mechanisms have also been investigated. | 11 | Proanthocyanidins Inhibit Seed Germination by Maintaining a High Level of Abscisic Acid in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Proanthocyanidins (PAs) are the main products of the flavonoid biosynthetic pathway in seeds, but their biological function during seed germination is still unclear. We observed that seed germination is delayed with the increase of exogenous PA concentration in Arabidopsis. A similar inhibitory effect occurred in peeled Brassica napus seeds, which was observed by measuring radicle elongation. Using abscisic acid (ABA), a biosynthetic and metabolic inhibitor, and gene expression analysis by real-time polymerase chain reaction, we found that the inhibitory effect of PAs on seed germination is due to their promotion of ABA via de novo biogenesis, rather than by any inhibition of its degradation. Consistent with the relationship between PA content and ABA accumulation in seeds, PA-deficient mutants maintain a lower level of ABA compared with wild-types during germination. Our data suggest that PA distribution in the seed coat can act as a doorkeeper to seed germination. | 12 | Effect of spinal manipulation on degenerative scoliosis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of spinal manipulation(SM)on degenerative scoliosis by evaluating patients’visual analog scale(VAS)scores,Cobb angles,sagittal vertical axis(SVA),and apical vertebral rotation(AVR)and to explore factors that influence treatment effect.METHODS:A total of 55 patients with degenerative scoliosis received 4 weeks of SM.After treatment,patients were divided into two groups:the remission group(VAS score<40 mm)and the non-remission group(VAS score≥40 mm).Pre-versus post-treatment VAS scores,Cobb angles,SVA,and AVR were compared in each group and in the total population.Baseline data(sex,age,symptom characteristics,duration of symptoms,VAS score,Cobb angle,SVA,and AVR)were compared between groups.Factors influencing the post-treatment VAS score were explored with multiple linear regression analysis.RESULTS:No changes were found in the Cobb angle(P=0.722)or AVR(P=0.424)after intervention in the overall population.However,the SVA(P<0.001)and VAS score(P=0.000)changed significantly after treatment.Similar changes were observed in the remission group(n=29).Multiple linear regression revealed that the only factors influencing treatment effect were symptom characteristics,SVA,and VAS score.CONCLUSION:SM relieved pain and improved sagittal imbalance in patients with degenerative scoliosis.It did not lessen the severity of coronal curvature or vertebral rotation.Factors influencing the effect of SM included symptom characteristics,VAS score,and SVA.A larger randomized trial is needed to further confirm our results. | Sun Wu Gao Jinghua Zhu Liguo Wang Baojian Xiao Wei Wang Zhenzhong Yang Kexin | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6: | 8 |

In this paper, the various state-of-the-art approaches of drag-reducing and energy-saving technologies based on the boundary layer control are reviewed, focusing on the polymer drag reduction additives, the micro-morphology, the super-hydrophobic surface, the micro air bubbles, the heating wall, the vibrant flexible wall and the composite drag reduction methods. In addition, the mechanisms of different drag reductions based on the boundary layer control and the potential applications in fluid engineering are discussed. | 17 | Fabrication and characterization of biodegradable Mg-Zn-Y-Nd-Ag alloy:Microstructure,mechanical properties,corrosion behavior and antibacterial activities显示文摘Magnesium(Mg),a potential biodegradable material,has drawn wide attention in the bone reconstruction field.However,Mg alloys,served as the bone graft substitution,remain a clinical challenge,the antibacterial activity of which is required to be enhanced.Here,we prepared biodegradable magnesium Mg-Zn-Y-Nd-Ag and then had it been further densified by extruding.The microstructure evolution of the as-cast and as-extruded Mg-Zn-Y-Nd-Ag was characterized using optical microscope and X-ray diffraction analyses(XRD).The results showed that the microstructure of the as-cast alloys was mainly dendrites,between which,the second phase was mainly distributed;with the increase of Ag additions,grain structure was further refined as well as the increase of amount of the second phase.After the extrusion,the grains were further refined.Microhardness tests indicated that both of the increase of Ag content and the extrusion process improved the microhardness of the alloys,specially the later.A systematic investigation of the in vivo antibacterial capability of Staphylococcus aurous and Escherichia coli was performed,and the results of which indicated that all Mg-Zn-Y-N-xAg(x?0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8)alloys exhibited certain antibacterial property,which would increased with the increase of Ag content.Taken all together,the antimicrobial property of the as-extruded alloy containing 0.4 wt%Ag exhibited the relatively better antimicrobial properties and mechanical property with the relatively small loss in corrosion resistance,which suggested the potential utility of as-extruded Mg-Zn-Y-N-0.4Ag in treating orthopedic infections. | Yashan Feng Shijie Zhu Liguo Wang Lei Chang Yachen Hou Shaokang Guan | 2018 | Bioactive Materials2018,3,3: | 7 |
| 18 | Transcriptome analysis of blood stasis syndrome in subjects with hypertension显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To screen for m RNAs associated with blood stasis syndrome and to explore the genetic mechanisms of blood stasis syndrome in hypertension.METHODS:This study involved groups of patients with hypertension and blood stasis,including those with Qi deficiency,Qi stagnation,cold retention and heat retention;as well as hypertensive patients without blood stasis and healthy individuals.Human umbilical vein endothelial cells were co-cultured with the sera of these healthy individuals and patients with blood stasis syndrome.Total RNA was extracted from these cells and assessed by a high-throughput sequencing method(Solexa)and digital gene expression.Differentially expressed genes among these six groups were compared using whole genome sequences,and m RNAs associated with blood stasis syndrome identified.Differences in gene use and gene ontology function were an-alyzed.Genes enriched significantly and their pathways were determined,as were network interactions,and encoded proteins.Gene identities were confirmed by real-time polymerase chain reactions.RESULTS:Compared with cells cultured in sera of the blood stasis groups,those culture in sera of healthy individuals and of the non-blood stasis group showed 11 and 301 differences,respectively in stasis-related genes.Genes identified as differing between the blood stasis and healthy groups included activating transcription factor 4,activating transcription factor 3,DNA-damage inducible transcription factor 3,Tribbles homolog 3,CCAAT/enhancer binding protein-β,and Jun proto-oncogene(JUN).Pathway and protein interaction network analyses showed that these genes were associated with endoplasmic reticulum stress.Cells cultured in sera of patients with blood stasis and Qi deficiency,Qi stagnation,heat retention,and cold retention were compared with cells cultured in sera of patients with the other types blood stasis syndrome.The comparison showed differences in expression of 28,28,34,and 32 specific genes,respectively.CONCLUSION:The pathogenesis of blood stasis syndrome in hypertension is related to endoplasmic reticulum stress and involves the differential expression of the activating transcription factor 4,activating transcription factor 3,DNA-damage inducible transcription factor 3,Tribbles homolog 3,CCAAT/enhancer binding protein-β,and JUN genes. | He Ling Fang Meixia Chen Liguo Zhou Jianhua Yuan Jing Xu Jing Shan Yan Xu Qingyun Xiong Tingting | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,2: | 7 |

Twenty three eyes (23/26,88.5%)undergoing primary PPV combined with ILM peeling had successful initial retinal reattachment, including 19 eyes (19/19, 100%) with silicone oil tamponade and in 4 eyes (4/7,57.1%).with sulfur hexafluoride.(C3F8).tamponade. Overall anatomical success was achieved in 27 eyes (27/29, 93.1%)..The macular hole closure was observed in 17 eyes (17/26, 65.4%) with final anatomical success. Compared to preoperative BCVA,.the mean postoperative BCVA in the eyes with anatomical success was significantly improved (P = 0.007, Wilcoxon signed rank test). | 20 | Adjuvant radiotherapy in central hepatocellular carcinoma after narrow-margin hepatectomy:A 10-year real-world evidence显示文摘Objective:A prospective randomized control study investigated the feasibility and efficacy of adjuvant radiotherapy on patients with central hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)after narrow-margin hepatectomy(<1 cm).This study presents an updated 10-year real-world evidence to further characterize the role of adjuvant radiotherapy.Methods:Patients with central HCC after narrow-margin hepatectomy(<1 cm)were prospectively assigned to adjuvant radiotherapy group and control group.Patients'outcome,adverse events,long-term recurrence and survival rates were investigated.Results:The 1-,5-,and 10-year recurrence-free survival(RFS)rates were 81.0%,43.9%,and 38.7%,respectively in adjuvant radiotherapy group and 71.7%,35.8%,and 24.2%,respectively in control group(log-rank test,P=0.09).The 1-,5-,and 10-year overall survival(OS)rates were 96.6%,54.7%,and 42.8%,respectively in adjuvant radiotherapy group and 90.2%,55.1%,and 30.0%,respectively in control group(log-rank test,P=0.20).The 1-,5-,and 10-year RFS rates for patients with small HCC(≤5 cm)were 91.1%,51.6%,and 48.4%,respectively in adjuvant radiotherapy group and 80.0%,36.6%,and 26.6%,respectively in control group(log-rank test,P=0.03).Landmark analysis demonstrated that patients with small HCC in adjuvant radiotherapy group had a significantly improved OS in second five years after treatment in comparison to patients in control group(log-rank test,P=0.05).Conclusions:Our updated results showed a sustained clinical benefit on reducing recurrence,improving longterm survival for small central HCC by adjuvant radiotherapy after narrow-margin hepatectomy.Long-term survival data also indicated that hepatectomy is an optimal treatment for selected patients with central HCC. | Weiqi Rong Weibo Yu Liming Wang Fan Wu Kai Zhang Bo Chen Chengli Miao Liguo Liu Songlin An Changcheng Tao Weihu Wang Jianxiong Wu | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,5: | 6 |
