| 7 | New Results on PWARX Model Identification Based on Clustering Approach显示文摘This paper deals with the problem of piecewise auto regressive systems with exogenous input(PWARX) model identification based on clustering solution. This problem involves both the estimation of the parameters of the affine sub-models and the hyper planes defining the partitions of the state-input regression. The existing identification methods present three main drawbacks which limit its effectiveness. First, most of them may converge to local minima in the case of poor initializations because they are based on the optimization using nonlinear criteria. Second, they use simple and ineffective techniques to remove outliers. Third, most of them assume that the number of sub-models is known a priori. To overcome these drawbacks, we suggest the use of the density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise(DBSCAN) algorithm. The results presented in this paper illustrate the performance of our methods in comparison with the existing approach. | 12 | Hot Air Generator Using Natural Convection Flow in a Heated Channel显示文摘Hot air producing is one of the most important engineering applications in recent years.It is a technique used in various thermodynamic systems,such as home heating systems,food dryers.One of the main problems impeding the spread of hot air producing technology is the lack of homogeneity of the heat flow coming from hot air generators as well as an inadequate flow rate.The most of the existing hot air generators require to be supported by systems that can increase the low volumetric flow and the air temperature of these generators,through increasing the speed of the flow of air emitted or lifting the drawer Heat,which contributes to raising the overall cost.However,to improve the thermal and dynamic quality of the hot air flow produced by the generator,a numerical investigation of the free convection flow inside two different configurations is presented in this thesis.The primary objective of this work is to predict the behavior of the flow inside tow configurations,the first one consists of a vertical cylinder with heated walls,and the second configuration is an open-ended vertical cylinder with a hot disc placed at the entrance(configuration A,configuration B).This work characterizes through the examination of this flow,the variables that control an air emission with high flow rate and a high and homogeneous temperature to represent the appropriate criteria that should be respected to obtain a hot air generator overcoming the previously mentioned constraints.Furthermore;the results of this work show the influence the boundary conditions and Rayleigh number on the resulting flow. | Bushra AlGarawi Zeinebou Yahya | 2019 | Journal of Energy and Power Engineering2019,13,4: | 0 |
| 13 | Predictive Control Based on Fuzzy Supervisor for PWARX Hybrid Model显示文摘In this paper, the problem of hybrid model predictive control(HMPC) strategy based on fuzzy supervisor for piecewise autoregressive with exogenous input(PWARX) models is addressed. We first represent the nonlinear behavior of the system with a PWARX model. Then, we transform the obtained PWARX model into a mixed logical dynamic(MLD) model in order to apply the proposed predictive control which is able to stabilize such systems along desired reference trajectories while satisfying operating constraints.Finally, we propose to introduce a fuzzy supervisor allowing the readjustment of the HMPC tuning parameters in order to maintain the desired performance. | 14 | Efficient Electromagnetic Wave Absorption and Thermal Infrared Stealth in PVTMS@MWCNT Nano‑Aerogel via Abundant Nano‑Sized Cavities and Attenuation Interfaces显示文摘Pre-polymerized vinyl trimethoxy silane(PVTMS)@MWCNT nano-aerogel system was constructed via radical polymerization,sol-gel transition and supercritical CO_(2)drying.The fabricated organic-inorganic hybrid PVTMS@MWCNT aerogel structure shows nano-pore size(30-40 nm),high specific surface area(559 m^(2)g^(−1)),high void fraction(91.7%)and enhanced mechanical property:(1)the nano-pore size is beneficial for efficiently blocking thermal conduction and thermal convection via Knudsen effect(beneficial for infrared(IR)stealth);(2)the heterogeneous interface was beneficial for IR reflection(beneficial for IR stealth)and MWCNT polarization loss(beneficial for electromagnetic wave(EMW)attenuation);(3)the high void fraction was beneficial for enhancing thermal insulation(beneficial for IR stealth)and EMW impedance match(beneficial for EMW attenuation).Guided by the above theoretical design strategy,PVTMS@MWCNT nano-aerogel shows superior EMW absorption property(cover all Ku-band)and thermal IR stealth property(ΔT reached 60.7℃).Followed by a facial combination of the above nano-aerogel with graphene film of high electrical conductivity,an extremely high electromagnetic interference shielding material(66.5 dB,2.06 mm thickness)with superior absorption performance of an average absorption-to-reflection(A/R)coefficient ratio of 25.4 and a low reflection bandwidth of 4.1 GHz(A/R ratio more than 10)was experimentally obtained in this work. | Haoyu Ma Maryam Fashandi Zeineb Ben Rejeb Xin Ming Yingjun Liu Pengjian Gong Guangxian Li Chul B.Park | 2024 | Nano-Micro Letters2024,16,1: | 0 |
| 15 | Mid-infrared Ⅲ-Ⅴ semiconductor lasers epitaxially grown on Si substrates显示文摘There is currently much activity toward the integration of mid-infrared semiconductor lasers on Si substrates for developing a variety of smart,compact,sensors based on Si-photonics integrated circuits.We review this rapidly-evolving research field,focusing on the epitaxial integration of antimonide lasers,the only technology covering the whole mid-to-far-infrared spectral range.We explain how a dedicated molecular-beam epitaxy strategy allows for achieving high-performance GaSb-based diode lasers,InAs/AlSb quantum cascade lasers,and InAs/GaInSb interband cascade lasers by direct growth on on-axis(001)Si substrates,whereas GaAs-on-Si or GaSb-on-Si layers grown by metal-organic vapor phase epitaxy in large capability epitaxy tools are suitable templates for antimonide laser overgrowth.We also show that etching the facets of antimonide lasers grown on Si is a viable approach in view of photonic integrated circuits.Remarkably,this review shows that while diode lasers are sensitive to residual crystal defects,the quantum cascade and interband cascade lasers grown on Si exhibit performances comparable to those of similar devices grown on their native substrates,due to their particular band structures and radiative recombination channels.Long device lifetimes have been extrapolated for interband cascade lasers.Finally,routes to be further explored are also presented. | Eric Tournié Laura Monge Bartolome Marta Rio Calvo Zeineb Loghmari Daniel A.Díaz-Thomas Roland Teissier Alexei N.Baranov Laurent Cerutti Jean-Baptiste Rodriguez | 2022 | Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,7: | 0 |
