| 1 | Defect detection in atomic-resolution images via unsupervised learning with translational invariance显示文摘Crystallographic defects can now be routinely imaged at atomic resolution with aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM)at high speed,with the potential for vast volumes of data to be acquired in relatively short times or through autonomous experiments that can continue over very long periods.Automatic detection and classification of defects in the STEM images are needed in order to handle the data in an efficient way.However,like many other tasks related to object detection and identification in artificial intelligence,it is challenging to detect and identify defects from STEM images.Furthermore,it is difficult to deal with crystal structures that have many atoms and low symmetries.Previous methods used for defect detection and classification were based on supervised learning,which requires human-labeled data.In this work,we develop an approach for defect detection with unsupervised machine learning based on a one-class support vector machine(OCSVM).We introduce two schemes of image segmentation and data preprocessing,both of which involve taking the Patterson function of each segment as inputs.We demonstrate that this method can be applied to various defects,such as point and line defects in 2D materials and twin boundaries in 3D nanocrystals. | Yueming Guo Sergei V.Kalinin Hui Cai Kai Xiao Sergiy Krylyuk Albert V.Davydov Qianying Guo Andrew R.Lupini | 2021 | npj Computational Materials2021,,1: | 2 |
| 2 | Effects of dry fog humidification on pericarp browning and quality of litchi fruit stored at low temperature显示文摘Pericarp browning is the major cause of deterioration of harvested litchi fruit.Water loss plays a role in pericarp browning of litchi fruit.This study investigated the effects of humidification with dry fog on pericarp browning and quality of litchi fruit stored at low temperature.Litchi fruit were stored in a non-humidified cold chamber(control)or in a humidified cold room using Tabor atomizer system that generated 95%relative humidity(RH)without depositing water on the fruit surface at 4℃.Control fruit stored in cold room without added humidity underwent rapid weight loss,accompanied by severe pericarp browning after 25 d of storage.However,slight weight loss and no obvious pericarp browning were found in humidified-fruit.Moreover,humidification maintained well the integrity of cell membrane and inhibited polyphenol oxidase activity during early storage.In addition,respiration rate was obviously inhibited in humidified-fruit compared with control fruit.This study might provide a convenient approach to reduce pericarp browning of harvested litchi fruit by humidifying the fruit using the Tabor atomizer at low temperature instead of packaging with film. | Lu Xiao Taotao Li Guoxiang Jiang Afiya John Dandan Zhang Wenyuan Jin Xuewu Duan Yueming Jiang | 2019 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,4: | 2 |

| 5 | Reconstruction and petroleum geological significance of lithofacies paleogeography and paleokarst geomorphology of the Middle Permian Maokou Formation in northwestern Sichuan Basin,SW China显示文摘Based on analysis of outcrop,drilling,logging and seismic data,and geotectonic background,the lithofacies paleogeography and paleokarst geomorphology of the Middle Permian Maokou Formation in the northwestern Sichuan Basin were reconstructed,and the petroleum geological significance of the lithofacies paleogeography and paleokarst geomorphology were discussed.The Maokou Formation is divided into 3 long-term cycles,namely LSCl,LSC2 and LSC3,which correspond to the Member 1,Member 2 and Member 3 of the Maokou Formation,respectively.Controlled by the extensional structure caused by opening of the Mianlue Ocean in the north margin of the upper Yangtze blocks and basement faults produced by mantle plume uplifting,the area had tectonic differentiation in NWW and NE,and sedimentary basement took on episodic settlement from north to south,as a result,the sedimentary systems of Member 1 to Member 3 gradually evolved from carbonate platform to platform-slope-continental shelf.According to the residual thickness,paleokarst geomorphologic units such as karst highland,karst slope and karst depression at different stages were reconstructed.The karst geomorphological units were developed successively on the basis of sedimentary geomorphology.Sedimentary facies and paleokarst geomorphology are of great significance for oil and gas accumulation.The Maokou Formation in northwestern Sichuan has two kinds of most favorable reservoir zone combinations:high energy grain shoal and karst monadnock,platform margin slope and karst slope.Based on this understanding,the planar distribution of the two kinds of reservoir zones were predicted by overlapping the favorable reservoir facies belt with paleokarst geomorphology.The study results provide a new idea and reference for the exploration deployment of the Middle Permian Maokou Formation in the Sichuan Basin. | ZHONG Yuan YANG Yueming WEN Long LUO Bing XIAO Di LI Minglong CHEN Cong ZHAO Like LU Feifan TAN Xiucheng | 2021 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2021,48,1: | 1 |
