1First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). 4Direct amination of isobutylene over zeolite catalysts with various topologies and acidities显示文摘The atomically economic and green chemical reaction of direct amination of isobutylene to tertbutylamine, particularly under the relative mild reaction conditions available for future industrial use,was carried out over zeolite catalysts possessing different topological structures, from one dimensional to three dimensional pore system, and from small 8-member ring pore(MRP) to medium 10 MRP and further to large 12 MRP zeolites, to disclose the relationship between the zeolite properties/topologies and their amination performance systematically under the mild reaction conditions. It was discovered that the pore structure and the acidities of zeolite catalysts played crucial roles in the isobutylene amination process, and suitable pore diameter(larger than 0.5 nm or with large side pockets/cups in the outside surface) and a certain number of mid-strong acid sites are indispensable to catalyze the amination reaction,while too strong acid strength was not conducive to the process of isobutylene amination. Among them,zeolites with topologies of BEA, MFI, MEL, MWW and EUO exhibited good amination performance, with which the isobutylene conversion was higher than 12.61%(>46.42% of the equilibrium conversion) under the studied mild reaction conditions. Due to the good amination performance and the large adjustable Si/Al_2 ratio range, ZSM-5 was selected to further study the effect of acidity on the amination performance systematically under the mild reaction conditions, and the activity-acidity relationship in the amination process was disclosed: the amination activity(isobutylene conversion) had a linear correlation with the amount of mid-strong B acidity under the studied conditions over ZSM-5 catalyst, which can provide guidance for further developing high-efficient amination catalyst under mild reaction conditions available for future industrial use.Shangyao Gao Xiangxue Zhu Xiujie Li Yuzhong Wang Sujuan Xie Songwei Du Fucun Chen Peng Zeng Shenglin Liu Longya Xu 2017Journal of Energy Chemistry2017,26,4:1
5Patterning the neuronal cells via inkjet printing of self-assembled peptides on silk scaffolds显示文摘The patterning of neuronal cells and guiding neurite growth are important for neuron tissue engineering and cell-based biosensors. In this paper, inkjet printing has been employed to pattern self-assembled I_3 QGK peptide nanofibers on silk substrates for guiding the growth of neuron-like PC12 cells. Atomic force microscopy(AFM)confirmed the dynamic self-assembly of I_3 QGK into nanofiber structures. The printed self-assembled peptide strongly adheres to regenerated silk fibroin(RSF) substrates through charge-charge interactions. It was observed that in the absence of I_3 QGK, PC12 cells exhibited poor attachment to RSF films, while for RSF surfaces coated or printed with peptide nanofibers, cellular attachment was significantly improved in terms of both cell density and morphology. AFM results revealed that peptide nanofibers can promote the generation of axons and terminal buttons of PC12 cells, indicating that I_3 QGK nanofibers not only promote cellular attachment but also facilitate differentiation into neuronal phenotypes. Inkjet printing allows complex patterning of peptide nanofibers onto RSF substrates, which enabled us to engineer cell alignment and provide an opportunity to direct axonal development in vitro. 6Okra‑Like Multichannel TiO@NC Fibers Membrane with Spatial and Chemical Restriction on Shuttle‑Effect for Lithium–Sulfur Batteries显示文摘It is especially important to coordinately design the structure and composition of the host in lithium–sulfur batteries(LSBs)for improving its physicochemical adsorption and conversion of lithium polysulfide,which can alleviate the harmful shuttle effect.Herein,a self-supporting multichannel nitrogen-doped carbon fibers membrane embedded with TiO nanoparticles(TiO@NC)was constructed as the electrode for LSBs.The inner channels and the embedded TiO nanoparticles offer spatial confinement and chemical binding for polysulfides,respectively.Moreover,the TiO nanoparticles have abundant oxygen vacancies that promote the conversion of polysulfides.In addition,the nitrogen-doped carbon skeleton can not only serve as highly conductive transportation paths for electrons,but also integrate with the inner channels to sustain the morphology and bear volume expansion during cycling processes.Therefore,the fabricated self-supporting quadruple-channel TiO@NC ultrathin fibers electrode exhibits a high initial specific capacity of 1342.8 mAh g^(-1)at 0.5 C and high-rate capability of 505.8 mAh g^(-1)at 4.0 C.In addition,it maintains 696.0 mAh g^(-1)over 500 cycles with only 0.059%capacity decay per cycle at the high current density of 2.0 C.The multichannel configuration combined with TiO nanoparticles provides a synergetic design strategy for fabricating high-performance electrodes in LSBs.Shuai Li Jingchong Liu Linlin Ma Li‑Juan Yu Lanlan Hou Dianming Li Songwei Gao Guichu Yue Zhimin Cui NüWang Xiaoxian Zhao Yong Zhao 2023Advanced Fiber Materials2023,5,1:1

13Reprogramming somatic cells to cells with neuronal characteristics by defined medium both in vitro and in vivo显示文摘Background:Currently,direct conversion from somatic cells to neurons requires virus-mediated delivery of at least one transcriptional factor or a combination of several small-molecule compounds.Delivery of transcriptional factors may affect genome stability,while small-molecule compounds may require more evaluations when applied in vivo.Thus,a defined medium with only conventional growth factors or additives for cell culture is desirable for inducing neuronal trans-differentiation.Results:Here,we report that a defined medium(5C)consisting of basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF),N2 supplement,leukemia inhibitory factor,vitamin C(Vc),andβ-mercaptoethanol(βMe)induces the direct conversion of somatic cells to cells with neuronal characteristics.Application of 5C medium converted mouse embryonic fibroblasts(MEFs)into TuJ+neuronal-like cells,which were capable of survival after being transplanted into the mouse brain.The same 5C medium could convert primary rat astrocytes into neuronal-like cells with mature electrophysiology characteristics in vitro and facilitated the recovery of brain injury,possibly by inducing similar conversions,when infused into the mouse brain in vivo.Crucially,5C medium could also induce neuronal characteristics in several human cell types.Conclusions:In summary,this 5C medium not only provides a means to derive cells with neuronal characteristics without viral transfection in vitro but might also be useful to produce neurons in vivo for neurodegenerative disease treatment.Songwei He Yiping Guo Yixin Zhang Yuan Li Chengqian Feng Xiang Li Lilong Lin Lin Guo Haitao Wang Chunhua Liu Yi Zheng Chuanming Luo Qiang Liu Fuhui Wang Hao Sun Lining Liang Lingyu Li Huanxing Su Jiekai Chen Duanqing Pei Hui Zheng 2015Cell Regeneration2015,4,1:0

15Co-delivery of luteolin and TGF-β1 plasmids with ROS-responsive virus-inspired nanoparticles for microenvironment regulation and chemo-gene therapy of intervertebral disc degeneration显示文摘Intervertebral disc degeneration(IDD)is closely related to inflammation and imbalance of synthesis/catabolism of extracellular matrix(ECM)in intervertebral disc(IVD).Considering this,luteolin(LUT),a kind of natural flavonoid with good anti-inflammatory effect and TGF-β1(a gene that promotes the regeneration of ECM)plasmid was co-loaded and co-delivered to nucleus pulposus cells(NPCs).Reactive oxygen species(ROS)responsive cationic copolymer,poly(β-amino ester)-poly(ε-caprolactone)(PBC),with high plasmid DNA(pDNA)compression affinity was synthesized.It can self-assemble into nano-sized polyplexes(pDNA@PBC)with virus-inspired structure and function through which it can transfect pDNA into NPCs with very high efficiency and negligible cytotoxicity.LUT was encapsulated in the hydrophobic core of pDNA@PBC.The co-delivery system,LUT-pTGFβ1@PBC,could enhance the cellular uptake of NPCs and manifest excellent sustained drug release in IVD.Real time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)and Western blot experiments reveal that the co-delivery system could inhibit inflammation in NPCs and restore the balance of anabolism and catabolism in vitro by activating TGF/SMAD3 and inhibiting NFkB/p65.Moreover,LUT-pTGF-β1@PBC retards IDD in vivo as detected by radiological and histological methods with good biosafety in rats.LUT-pTGF-β1@PBC may be a promising option for the treatment of IDD.Yifan Ding Huan Wang Yunyun Wang Long Li Jiahui Ding Caiyan Yuan Tao Xu Haoran Xu Hui Xie Ning Zhu Xin Hu Huang Fang Songwei Tan 2022Nano Research2022,15,9:0
16Performances of a prototype point-contact germanium detector immersed in liquid nitrogen for light dark matter search显示文摘The CDEX-10 experiment searches for light weakly interacting massive particles, a form of dark matter, at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory, where approximately 10 kg of germanium detectors are arranged in an array and immersed in liquid nitrogen. Herein, we report on the experimental apparatus, detector characterization, and spectrum analysis of one prototype detector. Owing to the higher rise-time resolution of the CDEX-10 prototype detector as compared with CDEX-1 B, we identified the origin of an observed category of extremely fast events. For data analysis of the CDEX-10 prototype detector, we introduced and applied an improved bulk/surface event discrimination method. The results of the new method were compared to those of the CDEX-1 B spectrum. 19First spike latency of ON/OFF neurons in the optic tectum of pigeons显示文摘Some shallow and middle optic tectum(OT)neurons have stable,asymmetric full-screen ON and OFF stimu­lus response properties,which makes them candidates for delay encoding.In this paper,we investigated the de­lay encoding mechanism for the neuronal clusters in the OT region of pigeons and determined the mechanism of delay coding in the OT region.By analyzing the responses of the neuron cluster under full-screen switch-on and switch-off stimulation,we found that the delay coding was widespread in the OT region where the ON/OFF stimulation time difference was 4-6 ms.Information theory analysis under grating stimulation and experiments based on single-neuron character reconstruction of neurons showed that OT neuron clusters use the first spike latency(FSL)for the rapid transfer of spatial structure information.Furthermore,4 models were used to pre­dict the first spike latency of these OT neurons.The best simulation results were obtained using an architecture where the ON and OFF paths of multiple retinal ganglion cells(RGCs)were integrated and summed,respec­tively.Songwei WANG Mengke WANG Zhizhong WANG Li SHI 2019Integrative Zoology2019,14,5:0
