1Negative reflection and negative surface wave conversion from obliquely incident electromagnetic waves显示文摘Complete control of spatially propagating waves(PWs)and surface waves(SWs)is an ultimate goal that scientists and engineers seek for,in which negative reflection of PW and negative surface wave are two exotic phenomena.Here,we experimentally demonstrate an anisotropic digital coding metasurface capable of controlling both PWs and SWs with a single coding pattern.On the basis of the digital description of coding metasurfaces,a simple coding method is proposed to allow dual functionalities(either PW or SW manipulations)under two orthogonal polarizations at arbitrarily oblique incidences,thus improving the adaptability of digital coding metasurfaces in more practical circumstances.With elaborately designed ellipse-shaped coding particles,we experimentally demonstrate various functions under oblique incidences,including the negative reflection of PW,negative SW,anomalous reflection and their arbitrary combinations,all having good agreements with theoretical and numerical predictions.We believe that the proposed method may enable the digital coding metasurfaces to have broad applications in radar detections,wireless communications and imaging.Shuo Liu Tie Jun Cui Ahsan Noor Zui Tao Hao Chi Zhang Guo Dong Bai Yan Yang Xiao Yang Zhou 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:10
2First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. 3First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). 5The Impact of Accounting Information Quality on Corporate Labor Investment Efficiency:Evidence from China显示文摘As an important part of the enterprise information system,accounting information plays a significant role in enterprise management decision-making,This study investigates the impact of accounting information quality on corporate labor investment efficiency.Using a sample of Chinese listed firms,we show that higher accounting information quality is associated with higher labor investment efficiency(i.e.,a lower deviation of labor investment from the expected employment level justified by economic fundamentals).Firms with higher accounting information quality reduce underinvestment and overinvestment in labor by alleviating financial constraints and agency conflicts.Cross-sectional tests indicate that this effect is more pronounced among non-state-owned enterprises and firms with higher labor adjustment costs.The robustness test shows that our results are robust to alternative proxies,endogeneity concerns,and controls for non-labor investments.This study sheds light on how enterprise information systems influence management decision-making practices from the perspective of accounting information quality.Zhizhu Yuan Lijuan Hou Zuying Zhou Yue Sun 2022Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering2022,31,5:1

13Performances of a prototype point-contact germanium detector immersed in liquid nitrogen for light dark matter search显示文摘The CDEX-10 experiment searches for light weakly interacting massive particles, a form of dark matter, at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory, where approximately 10 kg of germanium detectors are arranged in an array and immersed in liquid nitrogen. Herein, we report on the experimental apparatus, detector characterization, and spectrum analysis of one prototype detector. Owing to the higher rise-time resolution of the CDEX-10 prototype detector as compared with CDEX-1 B, we identified the origin of an observed category of extremely fast events. For data analysis of the CDEX-10 prototype detector, we introduced and applied an improved bulk/surface event discrimination method. The results of the new method were compared to those of the CDEX-1 B spectrum.
