Electrochemical performance of MCMB/(AC+LiFePO_4) lithium-ion capacitors显示文摘Lithium-ion capacitors(LICs) were fabricated using mesocarbon microbeads(MCMB) as a negative electrode and a mixture of activated carbon(AC) and LiFePO4 as a positive electrode(abbreviated as LAC).The phase structure and morphology of LAC samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM).The electrochemical performance of the LICs was studied using cyclic voltammetry,charge-discharge rate measurements, and cycle performance testing.A LIC with 30 wt% LiFePO4 was found to have the best electrochemical performance with a specific energy density of 69.02 W h kg-1 remaining at 4 C rate after 100 cycles.Compared with an AC-only positive electrode system, the ratio of practical capacity to theoretical calculated capacity of the LICs was enhanced from 42.22% to 56.59%.It was proved that adding LiFePO4 to AC electrodes not only increased the capacity of the positive electrode, but also improved the electrochemical performances of the whole LICs via Li+ pre-doping. | PING LiNa ZHENG JiaMing SHI ZhiQiang QI Jie WANG ChengYang | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,6: | 12
Ferroptosis as a novel form of regulated cell death:Implications in the pathogenesis, oncometabolism and treatment of human cancer显示文摘The treatment of cancer mainly involves surgical excision supplemented by radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Chemotherapy drugs act by interfering with tumor growth and inducing the death of cancer cells.Anti-tumor drugs were developed to induce apoptosis, but some patient’s show apoptosis escape and chemotherapy resistance. Therefore, other forms of cell death that can overcome the resistance of tumor cells are important in the context of cancer treatment.Ferroptosis is a newly discovered iron-dependent,non-apoptotic type of cell death that is highly negatively correlated with cancer development.Ferroptosis is mainly caused by the abnormal increase in iron-dependent lipid reactive oxygen species and the imbalance of redox homeostasis. This review summarizes the progression and regulatory mechanism of ferroptosis in cancer and discusses its possible clinical applications in cancer diagnosis and treatment. | Feifei Pu Fengxia Chen Zhicai Zhang Deyao Shi Binlong Zhong Xiao Lv Andrew Blake Tucker Jiaming Fan Alexander J.Li Kevin Qin Daniel Hu Connie Chen Hao Wang Fang He Na Ni Linjuan Huang Qing Liu William Wagstaff Hue H.Luu Rex C.Haydon Le Shen Tong-Chuan He Jianxiang Liu Zengwu Shao | 2022 | Genes & Diseases2022,9,2: | 6
Research on EM pulse protection property of plasma-microwave absorptive material-plasma sandwich structure显示文摘A plasma-microwave absorptive material (MAM)-plasma sandwich structure is presented to protect the electronic device against high power electromagnetic pulse. The model of electromagnetic wave reflected by and transmitting through the structure is established. Based on the characteristic parameters of plasma generated by discharge and usual MAM, the electromagnetic transmissive properties of the sandwich structure are investigated by the method of finite difference in time domain. The results indicate that in a rather broad frequency range, the electromagnetic attenuations by the structure are obviously better than the sum of attenuations resulted from plasma and MAM respectively. The models and results presented are instructive for electromagnetic pulse protection. | YUAN ZhongCai & SHI JiaMing State Key Laboratory of Pulse Power Laser Technology, Key Lab of Infrared and Low Temperature Plasma of Anhui Province, Hefei Electronic Engineering Institute, Hefei 230037, China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,12: | 6
Weapon configuration, allocation and route planning with time windows for multiple unmanned combat air vehicles显示文摘Unmanned combat air vehicles(UCAVs) mission planning is a fairly complicated global optimum problem. Military attack missions often employ a fleet of UCAVs equipped with weapons to attack a set of known targets. A UCAV can carry different weapons to accomplish different combat missions. Choice of different weapons will have different effects on the final combat effectiveness. This work presents a mixed integer programming model for simultaneous weapon configuration and route planning of UCAVs, which solves the problem optimally using the IBM ILOG CPLEX optimizer for simple missions. This paper develops a heuristic algorithm to handle the medium-scale and large-scale problems. The experiments demonstrate the performance of the heuristic algorithm in solving the medium scale and large scale problems. Moreover, we give suggestions on how to select the most appropriate algorithm to solve different scale problems. | ZHANG Jiaming LIU Zhong SHI Jianmai CHEN Chao | 2018 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2018,29,5: | 4
Accumulation and Elimination Kinetics of 2-Methylisoborneol in Crucian Carp (Carassius carassius)显示文摘2-methylisoborneol(2-MIB) is a common, earthysmelling compound that causes taste and odor issues in aquaculture. To quantify the distribution, absorption, and depuration of 2-MIB in crucian carp(Carassius carassius), we detected and measured 2-MIB it via microwave, headspace solid-phase microextraction(HS-SPME), and gas chromatography before and after exposing fish to two different concentrations of 2-MIB(200 ng/L and 500 ng/L). The results showed that during the exposure time, the fish absorbed 2-MIB rapidly within 4 h. After exposure to 2-MIB for 120 h, the 2-MIB in gill and liver were rapidly removed. The processes of accumulation and elimination of 2-MIB in fish were investigated using the one-compartment kinetic model. The modeling results showed that the range of the uptake rate constant(k1) was 0.49-6.91. The range of the elimination rate constant(k2) was 0.05-0.27 and uptake rates were higher than elimination rates. The bioconcentration factor(BCF) was estimated according to the physicochemical properties of 2-MIB, and the bioaccumulation of 2-MIB in fish had a close correlation with the octanol/water partition coefficient(Kow). | YANG Meng HU Jiaming LIU Liming SHI Xiaotao LIU Guoyong ZUO Yanxia | 2019 | Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2019,24,1: | 3
Reduced graphene oxide aerogel decorated with Mo_(2)C nanoparticles toward multifunctional properties of hydrophobicity, thermal insulation and microwave absorption显示文摘Reduced graphene oxide(rGO)aerogels are emerging as very attractive scaffolds for high-performance electromagnetic wave absorption materials(EWAMs)due to their intrinsic conductive networks and intricate interior microstructure,as well as good compatibility with other electromagnetic(EM)components.Herein,we realized the decoration of rGO aerogel with Mo_(2)C nanoparticles by sequential hydrothermal assembly,freeze-drying,and high-temperature pyrolysis. Results show that Mo_(2)C nanoparticle loading can be easily controlled by the ammonium molybdate to glucose molar ratio. The hydrophobicity and thermal insulation of the rGO aerogel are effectively improved upon the introduction of Mo_(2)C nanoparticles, and more importantly, these nanoparticles regulate the EM properties of the rGO aerogel to a large extent.Although more Mo_(2)C nanoparticles may decrease the overall attenuation ability of the rGO aerogel, they bring much better impedance matching. At a molar ratio of 1:1,a desirable balance between attenuation ability and impedance matching is observed. In this context, the Mo_(2)C/r GO aerogel displays strong reflection loss and broad response bandwidth, even with a small applied thickness(1.7 mm)and low filler loading(9.0wt%).The positive effects of Mo_(2)C nanoparticles on multifunctional properties may render Mo_(2)C/r GO aerogels promising candidates for high-performance EWAMs under harsh conditions. | Yahui Wang Minghui Zhang Xuesong Deng Zhigang Li Zongsheng Chen Jiaming Shi Xijiang Han Yunchen Du | 2023 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,3: | 2

Flexible temperature sensor with high sensitivity ranging from liquid nitrogen temperature to 1200℃显示文摘Flexible temperature sensors have been extensively investigated due to their prospect of wide application in various flexible electronic products. However, most of the current flexible temperature sensors only work well in a narrow temperature range, with their application at high or low temperatures still being a big challenge. This work proposes a flexible thermocouple temperature sensor based on aerogel blanket substrate, the temperature-sensitive layer of which uses the screen-printing technology to prepare indium oxide and indium tin oxide. It has good temperature sensitivity, with the test sensitivity reaching 226.7μV℃^(−1).Most importantly,it can work in a wide temperature range, from extremely low temperatures down to liquid nitrogen temperature to high temperatures up to 1200℃,which is difficult to be achieved by other existing flexible temperature sensors. This temperature sensor has huge application potential in biomedicine, aerospace and other fields. | Zhaojun Liu Bian Tian Zhuangde Jiang Shuimin Li Jiaming Lei Zhongkai Zhang Jiangjiang Liu Peng Shi Qijing Lin | 2023 | International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2023,5,1: | 1
Synthesis and magnetic properties of shuriken-like nickel nanoparticles显示文摘Shuriken-like nickel nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by a thermal decomposition method at200?C with Nickel(II) acetylacetonate(Ni(acac)2) as the precursor and oleylamine(OAm) as the solvent and reductant, respectively. The phase structures, morphologies and sizes, and magnetic properties of the as-synthesized nickel products were characterized in detail by using X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),field emission-scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM).Some key reaction parameters, such as the reaction time, reaction temperature and surfactants, have important influence on the morphology of the final products.XRD pattern indicated that the products are well-crystallized face-centered cubic(fcc) nickel phase.SEM images demonstrated that the nickel nanoparticles are shuriken-like morphology with average size around150 nm.The mechanism of shuriken-like Ni nanoparticles(NPs) is proposed. The magnetic hysteresis loops of shuriken-like and spherical nickel products illustrated the ferromagnetic nature at 300 K,indicating its potential applications in magnetic storage. | Shengqing Liu Jiaming Mei Chen Zhang Jianchao Zhang Rongrong Shi | 2018 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,5: | 1
CoSe_(2)/MoS_(2) Heterostructures to Couple Polysulfide Adsorption and Catalysis in Lithium-Sulfur Batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur batteries have been regarded as one of most promising next-generation energy storage devices because of their high energy density and low cost. However, polysulfide shuttling and slow kinetics hinder the practical application. We fabricated hierarchically heterostructured CoSe_(2)/MoS_(2) nanoarrays on carbon clothes as the sulfur cathode host. The resulting heterostructures facilitate electron conduction and improve electrolyte wetting.More importantly, the composite heterostructures couple the strong poly-sulfide adsorption of CoSe_(2) and high catalytic activity of MoS_(2) to synergistically accelerate polysulfide conversion, demonstrating higher catalytic activity than their individual components. | Zihan Shen Qingwen Zhou Huiling Yu Jiaming Tian Man Shi Chaoquan Hu Huigang Zhang | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,5: | 1
Unique and complementary suppression of cGAS-STING and RNA sensing- triggered innate immune responses by SARS-CoV-2 proteins显示文摘The emergence of SARS-CoV-2 has resulted in the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to millions of infections and hundreds of thousands of human deaths. The efficient replication and population spread of SARS-CoV-2 indicates an effective evasion of human innate immune responses, although the viral proteins responsible for this immune evasion are not clear. In this study,we identified SARS-CoV-2 structural proteins, accessory proteins, and the main viral protease as potent inhibitors of host innate immune responses of distinct pathways. In particular, the main viral protease was a potent inhibitor of both the RLR and cGAS-STING pathways.Viral accessory protein 0RF3a had the unique ability to inhibit STING,but not the RLR response. On the other hand, structural protein N was a unique RLR inhibitor.0RF3a bound STING in a unique fashion and blocked the nuclear accumulation of p65 to inhibit nuclear factor-KB signaling.3CL of SARS-CoV-2 inhibited K63-ubiquitin modification of STING to disrupt the assembly of the STING functional complex and downstream signaling.Diverse vertebrate STINGs,including those from humans, mice, and chickens, could be inhibited by 0RF3a and 3CL of SARS-CoV-2.The existence of more effective innate immune suppressors in pathogenic coronaviruses may allow them to replicate more efficiently in vivo.Since evasion of host innate immune responses is essential for the survival of all viruses, our study provides insights into the design of therapeutic agents against SARS-CoV-2. | Yajuan Rui Jiaming Su Si Shen Ying Hu Dingbo Huang Wenwen Zheng Meng Lou Yifei Shi Meng Wang Shiqi Chen Na Zhao Qi Dong Yong Cai Rongzhen Xu Shu Zheng Xiao-Fang Yu | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,4: | 1

Long noncoding RNA(lncRNA)H19:An essential developmental regulator with expanding roles in cancer, stem cell differentiation, and metabolic diseases显示文摘Recent advances in deep sequencing technologies have revealed that, while less than 2%of the human genome is transcribed into mRNA for protein synthesis, over 80%of the genome is transcribed, leading to the production of large amounts of noncoding RNAs(ncRNAs).It has been shown that ncRNAs,especially long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs),may play crucial regulatory roles in gene expression. As one of the first isolated and reported lncRNAs,H19 has gained much attention due to its essential roles in regulating many physiological and/or pathological processes including embryogenesis,development,tumorigenesis,osteogen-esis,and metabolism.Mechanistically,H19 mediates diverse regulatory functions by serving as competing endogenous RNAs(CeRNAs),Igf2/H19 imprinted tandem gene, modular scaffold, cooperating with H19 antisense, and acting directly with other mRNAs or lncRNAs.Here,we summarized the current understanding of H19 in embryogenesis and development, cancer development and progression, mesenchymal stem cell lineage-specific differentiation, and metabolic diseases. We discussed the potential regulatory mechanisms underlying H19’s func-tions in those processes although more in-depth studies are warranted to delineate the exact molecular, cellular, epigenetic, and genomic regulatory mechanisms underlying the physiolog-ical and pathological roles of H19.Ultimately,these lines of investigation may lead to the development of novel therapeutics for human diseases by exploiting H19 functions. | Junyi Liao Bowen Chen Zhenglin Zhu Chengcheng Du Shengqiang Gao Guozhi Zhao Piao Zhao Yonghui Wang Annie Wang Zander Schwartz Lily Song Jeffrey Hong William Wagstaff Rex CHaydon Hue HLuu Jiaming Fan Russell RReid Tong-Chuan He Lewis Shi Ning Hu Wei Huang | 2023 | Genes & Diseases2023,10,4: | 1
Influences of POSS-E-GO Content on Mechanical Properties of Bio-based Epoxy/DOPO-POSS Nanocomposites显示文摘The bio-based epoxy nanocomposite(GAER/DOPO-POSS)was prepared from gallic epoxy resin(GAER)and polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane(which containing 9,10-dihydrogen-9-oxo-10-phosphorus-phenanthrene-10-oxide groups, called DOPO-POSS).The polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane containing epoxy groups(E-POSS)was grafted onto aminated graphene oxide(E-GO),then the novel POSS-E-GO was obtained. The POSS-E-GO was used as modifier for GAER/DOPO-POSS nanocomposite. The influences of POSS-E-GO content on mechanical properties, dynamic mechanical properties and thermal stability of GAER/DOPO-POSS nanocomposites were determined. The experimental results show that POSS-E-GO can significantly improve the toughness of the GAER/DOPO-POSS nanocomposite. When 0.5wt% POSS-E-GO was added in GAER/DOPO-POSS nanocomposite, the impact strength of the nanocomposite was 4.74 kJ/m^(2) higher than that in the absence of POSS-E-GO,meantime the initial thermal degradation temperature was 277℃. | 杜永刚 SHI Gonghui WANG Jiaming WANG Yiming WANG Xuhua WANG Liwei YANG Jinhui REN Shitong | 2022 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2022,37,4: | 1

Bone morphogenetic protein 4 (BMP4) promotes hepatic glycogen accumulation and reduces glucose level in hepatocytes through mTORC2 signaling pathway显示文摘Liver is an important organ for regulating glucose and lipid metabolism.Recent studies have shown that bone morphogenetic proteins(BMPs)may play important roles in regu-lating glucose and lipid metabolism.Inour previous studies,we demonstrated that BMP4 signif-icantly inhibits hepatic steatosis and lowers serum triglycerides, playing a protective role against the progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).However, the direct impact of BMP4 on hepatic glucose metabolism is poorly understood. Here,we investigated the regulatory roles of BMP4 in hepatic glucose metabolism.Through a comprehensive analysis of the 14 types of BMPs,we found that BMP4 was one of the most potent BMPs in promoting hepatic glycogen accumulation, reducing the level of glucose in hepatocytes and effecting the expression of genes related to glucose metabolism.Mechanistically,we demonstrated that BMP4 reduced the hepatic glucose lewels through the activation of mTORC2 signaling pathway in vitro and in wivo.Collectively, our findings strongly suggest that BMP4 may play an essential role in regulating hepatic glucose metabolism. This knowledge should aid us to understand the molecular pathogenesis of NAFLD,and may lead to the development of novel therapeutics by exploiting the inhibitory effects of BMPs on hepatic glucose and lipid metabolism. | Liqin An Qiong Shi Ying Zhu Hao Wang Qi Peng Jinghong Wu Yu Cheng Wei Zhang Yanyu Yi Zihao Bao Hui Zhang Yetao Luo Jiaming Fan | 2021 | Genes & Diseases2021,8,4: | 1
Argonaute(AGO)proteins play an essential role in mediating BMP9-induced osteogenic signaling in mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)显示文摘As multipotent progenitor cells, mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)can renew themselves and give rise to multiple lineages including osteoblastic, chondrogenic and adipogenic lineages. It’s previously shown that BMP9 is the most potent BMP and induces osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation of MSCs.However, the molecular mechanism through which BMP9 regulates MSC differentiation remains poorly understood.Emerging evidence indicates that noncoding RNAs,especially microRNAs,may play important roles in regulating MSC differentiation and bone formation. As highly conserved RNA binding proteins,Argonaute(AGO)proteins are essential components of the multi-protein RNA-induced silencing complexes(RISCs),which are critical for small RNA biogenesis. Here,we investigate possible roles of AGO proteins in BMP9-induced lineage-specific differentiation of MSCs.We first found that BMP9 upregulated the expression of Ago1,Ago2 and Ago3 in MSCs.By engineering multiplex siRNA vectors that express multiple siRNAs targeting individual Ago genes or all four Ago genes,we found that silencing individual Ago expression led to a decrease in BMP9-induced early osteogenic marker alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activity in MSCs.Furthermore,we demonstrated that simultaneously silencing all four Ago genes significantly diminished BMP9-induced osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation of MSCs and matrix mineralization, and ectopic bone formation.Collectively, our findings strongly indicate that AGO proteins and associated small RNA biogenesis pathway play an essential role in mediating BMP9-induced osteogenic differentiation of MSCs. | Yukun Mao Na Ni Linjuan Huang Jiaming Fan Hao Wang Fang He Qing Liu Deyao Shi Kai Fu Mikhail Pakvasa William Wagstaff Andrew Blake Tucker Connie Chen Russell R.Reid Rex C.Haydon Sherwin H.Ho Michael J.Lee Tong-Chuan He Jian Yang Le Shen Lin Cai Hue H.Luu | 2021 | Genes & Diseases2021,8,6: | 1
