| 1 | Coexistence of Mirizzi syndrome with adenomyomatosis in the gallbladder:report of a case显示文摘BACKGROUND:Mirizzi syndrome is a rare complication of cholelithiasis. Adenomyomatosis is a common tumor-like lesion of the gallbladder. METHODS:A 52-year-old man was admitted to our hospital complaining of right hypochondriac pain and jaundice. Ultrasonography and computed tomography revealed stones in the gallbladder and dilation of the intrahepatic bile ducts. Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography revealed narrowing of the common bile duct caused by compression of the gallbladder. Laparotomy revealed type Ⅱ Mirizzi syndrome. RESULTS:Partial cholecystectomy with a Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy reconstruction was performed. Histologically,Rokitansky-Aschoff sinus proliferation,hypertrophy of smooth muscles,and fibrosis were seen in the gallbladder. A segmental type of adenomyomatosis of the gallbladder was diagnosed. CONCLUSIONS:The pathogenic link between the two peculiar entities is unclear. | 2 | Gallbladder function and dynamics of bile flow in asymptomatic gallstone disease显示文摘AIM:To investigate the effects of gallbladder stones on motor functions of the gallbladder and the dynamics of bile flow in asymptomatic gallstone disease.METHODS:Quantitative hepatobiliary scintigraphy was performed to detect the parameters of gallbladder motor function [gallbladder ejection fraction(GBEF),gallbladder visualization time(GBVT),gallbladder time to peak activity(GBTmax),gallbladder half emptying time(GBT1/2),and transit time of bile to duodenum(TTBD)] in 24 patients with asymptomatic cholelithiasis who were diagnosed incidentally during routine abdominal ultrasonographic examination and 20 healthy subjects with normal gallbladder.RESULTS:Even though there was no significant difference in the clinical and laboratory parameters between the patient and control groups,all parameters of gallbladder function except TTBD were found to differ significantly between the two groups.GBEF in the patient group was decreased(P=0.000) and GBVT,GBTmax,GBT1/2 in the patient group were longer(P=0.000,P=0.015,P=0.001,respectively).CONCLUSION:Our results showed that even if there were not any clinical and laboratory findings,gallbladder filling and emptying could be impaired in patients with gallstone disease. | Sevim Süreyya eri Feride Meltem zbek Celal eri Bahattin Baykal Hasan Erol Eroglu Zeynep Baykal Mustafa Yildiz Semahat Saglam Ahmet Yesildag | 2009 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2009，15，22： | 8 |

| 4 | e-antigen-negative chronic hepatitis B in Bangladesh显示文摘BACKGROUND:Bangladesh is a densely populated country where about 10 million people are chronically infected with hepatitis B virus(HBV).The aim of the present study was to evaluate the biochemical,virological and histological characteristics of HBeAg-negative chronic hepatitis B(CHB). METHODS:Patients were included in this study if they were chronically infected with HBV with detectable DNA.The patients who were co-infected with human immunodeficiency virus,hepatitis delta virus or hepatitis C virus,and previously subjected to antiviral treatment,and those with hepatocellular carcinoma were excluded.The study was conducted during the period of January 2001 to December 2007.During this period 2617 patients with CHB were studied.HBeAg-positive cases were included to compare the characteristics.Among them,237 cases underwent liver biopsy. RESULTS:2296 patients(87.7%)were male,with a mean age of 28.9±13.7 years.2375 patients(90.8%)had CHB,and 242(9.2%)were cirrhotic.HBV DNA levels were 7.6±1.5 copies/ml,ALT was 111.3±212.5 U/L,and AST was 91.5± 148.9 U/L.The number of HBeAg-negative CHB cases was 1039(39.7%).HBeAg-negative patients with a lower DNA load were older,and they had more fibrotic changes in the liver than HBeAg-positive patients.The two groups did not differ in necroinflammatory activity,but the former had lower ALT and AST values.Cirrhosis was more common in e-antigen-negative patients.CONCLUSIONS:e-antigen-negative CHB patients are older and have more hepatic fibrosis patients than HBeAg-positive patients,although they have similar necroinflammatory activity. | Nooruddin Ahmad Shahinul Alam Golam Mustafa Abul Barkat Muhammad Adnan Rahat Hasan Baig Mobin Khan | 2008 | Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2008，7，4： | 6 |
| 5 | Measurement of choroidal thickness and macular thickness during and after pregnancy显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effect of pregnancy on subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT) and macular thickness in both pregnant and not pregnant healthy women.METHODS: Twenty-nine healthy pregnant women in their third trimester and 36 age-matched healthy women were enrolled in a prospective, cross-sectional study.Foveal and parafoveal thickness in the four quadrants and SFCT were measured by optical coherence tomography(OCT) in the healthy pregnant women(i.e.study group) and healthy women(i.e. control group).OCT measurements were again measured 3mo after delivery in the study group.RESULTS: Mean SFCT measurements in the control group, pregnant women of the study group, and after delivery of the study group were 320.86 ±59.18 μm,387.97 ±59.91 μm, and 332.40 ±26.03 μm, respectively.There was a statistically significant difference in the mean SFCT values between pregnant women of the study group and the control group(P =0.000). Foveal and parafoveal thickness values were not statistically significant in either the study or control group.CONCLUSION: SFCT increases during pregnancy and returns to normal range in the three months after delivery. | 6 | Short-term effects of intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide injection on ocular blood flow evaluated with color Doppler ultrasonography显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the changes in ocular blood flow with color Doppler ultrasonography(CDU) after intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide(IVTA) injection.METHODS:A total of 46 patients who underwent IVTA(4 mg/0.1 mL) injection for diabetic macular edema(DME)(n =22), central retinal vein occlusion(CRVO)(n =12) and choroidal neovascular membrane(CNVM)(n =12) were included in the study. Peak systolic velocity(PSV), end diastolic velocity(EDV) and resistivity index(RI) were measured from the ophthalmic artery(OA), the central retinal artery(CRA) and the posterior ciliary artery(PCA)of each patient with CDU before, at the end of the first week and at the end of the first month following IVTA injection.RESULTS:In the DME group, PSV of OA at the first of the first month(mean ±SD)(37.48 ±10.87 cm/s) increased compared to pre-injection value(31.39 ±10.84 cm/s)(P =0.048). There was a statistically significant decrease(P =0.049) in PSV of CRA at the end of the first month(7.97±2.67 cm/s) compared to the pre-injection(9.47±3.37 cm/s).There was not any statistically significant difference onthe other parameters in the DME group. | 8 | Bioengineering bacterial encapsulin nanocompartments as targeted drug delivery system显示文摘The development of Drug Delivery Systems(DDS)has led to increasingly efficient therapies for the treatment and detection of various diseases.DDS use a range of nanoscale delivery platforms produced from polymeric of inorganic materials,such as micelles,and metal and polymeric nanoparticles,but their variant chemical composition make alterations to their size,shape,or structures inherently complex.Genetically encoded protein nanocages are highly promising DDS candidates because of their modular composition,ease of recombinant production in a range of hosts,control over assembly and loading of cargo molecules and biodegradability.One example of naturally occurring nanocompartments are encapsulins,recently discovered bacterial organelles that have been shown to be reprogrammable as nanobioreactors and vaccine candidates.Here we report the design and application of a targeted DDS platform based on the Thermotoga maritima encapsulin reprogrammed to display an antibody mimic protein called Designed Ankyrin repeat protein(DARPin)on the outer surface and to encapsulate a cytotoxic payload.The DARPin9.29 chosen in this study specifically binds to human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)on breast cancer cells,as demonstrated in an in vitro cell culture model.The encapsulin-based DDS is assembled in one step in vivo by co-expressing the encapsulin-DARPin9.29 fusion protein with an engineered flavin-binding protein mini-singlet oxygen generator(MiniSOG),from a single plasmid in Escherichia coli.Purified encapsulin-DARPin_miniSOG nanocompartments bind specifically to HER2 positive breast cancer cells and trigger apoptosis,indicating that the system is functional and specific.The DDS is modular and has the potential to form the basis of a multi-receptor targeted system by utilising the DARPin screening libraries,allowing use of new DARPins of known specificities,and through the proven flexibility of the encapsulin cargo loading mechanism,allowing selection of cargo proteins of choice. | Alexander Van de Steen Rana Khalife Noelle Colant Hasan Mustafa Khan Matas Deveikis Saverio Charalambous Clare M.Robinson Rupali Dabas Sofia Esteban Serna Diana A.Catana Konstantin Pildish Vladimir Kalinovskiy Kenth Gustafsson Stefanie Frank | 2021 | Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2021，6，3： | 2 |

Corresponding simulations are developed in Network Simulator ns-2 by setting simulation parameters according to the real experiments.
