Electronic-property dependent interactions between tetracycline and graphene nanomaterials in aqueous solution显示文摘Understanding the interactions between graphene nanomaterials(GNMs) and antibiotics in aqueous solution is critical to both the engineering applications of GNMs and the assessment of their potential impact on the fate and transport of antibiotics in the aquatic environment. In this study, adsorption of one common antibiotic, tetracycline, by graphene oxide(GO) and reduced graphene oxide(RGO) was examined with multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) and graphite as comparison. The results showed that the tetracycline adsorption capacity by the four selected carbonaceous materials on the unit mass basis followed an order of GO > RGO > MWCNTs > graphite. Upon normalization by surface area, graphite, RGO and MWCNTs had almost the same high tetracycline adsorption affinity while GO exhibited the lowest. We proposed π-electron-property dependent interaction mechanisms to explain the observed different adsorption behaviors. Density functional theory(DFT) calculations suggested that the oxygen-containing functional groups on GO surface reduced its π-electron-donating ability, and thus decreased the π-based interactions between tetracycline and GO surface. Comparison of adsorption efficiency at different p H indicated that electrostatic interaction also played an important role in tetracycline-GO interactions. Site energy analysis confirmed a highly heterogeneous distribution of the binding sites and strong tetracycline binding affinity of GO surface.Lin He Fei-fei Liu Mengyao Zhao Zhen Qi Xuefei Sun Muhammad Zaheer Afzal Xiaomin Sun Yanhui Li Jingcheng Hao Shuguang Wang 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,4:4
Qualitatively and quantitatively assessing the aggregation ability of sludge during aerobic granulation process combined XDLVO theory with physicochemical properties显示文摘Inexact mechanism of aerobic granulation still impedes optimization and application of aerobic granules. In this study, the extended Derjaguin, Landau, Verwey, and Overbeek(XDLVO) theory and physicochemical properties were combined to assess the aggregation ability of sludge during aerobic granulation process qualitatively and quantitatively. Results show that relative hydrophobicity of sludge and polysaccharide content of extracellular polymeric substances(EPS) increased, while electronegativity of sludge decreased during acclimation phase. After 20 days' acclimation, small granules began to form due to high aggregation ability of sludge. Since then, coexisted flocs and granules possessed distinct physicochemical properties during granulation and maturation phase. The relative hydrophobicity decreased while electronegativity increased for flocs, whereas that for granules presented reverse trend. Through analyzing the interaction energy using the XDLVO theory, small granules tended to self-grow rather than self-aggregate or attach of flocs due to poor aggregation ability between flocs and granules during the granulation phase. Besides, remaining flocs were unlikely to self-aggregate owing to poor aggregation ability, low hydrophobicity and high electronegativity.Shasha Yuan Mingming Gao Hui Ma Muhammad Zaheer Afzal Yun-Kun Wang Mingyu Wang Hai Xu Shu-Guang Wang Xin-Hua Wang 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,5:4
Why more research needs to be done on echinococcosis in Pakistan显示文摘Background:Echinococcosis has a worldwide geographical distribution with endemic foci on every inhabited continent.Due to the frequent outbreaks in different parts of Pakistan in the recent past, echinococcosis is being described as a neglected tropical disease and is considered one of the most neglected parasitic diseases in the country. In endemic regions, predominantly settings with limited resources, there are high numbers of echinococcosis patients,as these communities do not have access to appropriate treatment. In Pakistan, there are limited reports on echinococcosis. The disease is prevalent in human and livestock, but this has not been sufficiently explored yet.Pakistan is an agricultural country and due to the disease’s zoonotic mode of transmission, there is a dire need of future research on it.The present paper is an effort to highlight the importance of echinococcosis in Pakistan.Discussion:There is a dire need for future research on echinococcosis in Pakistan as very few investigations had been carried out on this topic thus far.The prevalence of the disease in neighbouring countries highlights that Pakistan might be at severe risk of this zoonotic infection and further supports the need for more research. In Pakistan, the majority of the population lives in rural areas with limited acess to proper hygienic/sanitary facilities. These conditions favour the outbreak of diseases such as echinococcosis. The limited available data could result in higher outbreaks in the future, and thus cause the already weak healthcare system to overburden. The country has a meagre annual budget for health, which is being spent on known infections such as polio, dengue fever and hepatic viral infections.A proper surveillance system for echinococcosis is required across the country as treatment is usually expensive, complicated and may require extensive surgery and/or prolonged drug therapy.Development of new/novel drugs and other treatment modalities receives very little,if any, attention.Prognostic awareness programmes against this infection involve deworming of the infected animals, improved food inspection and slaughterhouse hygiene, and public education campaigns. Conclusion:Future research on echinococcosis is anticipated to demonstrate whether the epidemiology, diagnosis and recombinant vaccines/antibodies relating to echinococcosis can meet the quality standards(purity, potency, safety and efficacy)defined by the World Health Organization.Research work should be carried out on the epidemiology and serodiagnosis of echinocossis in the different areas of Pakistan, which will be useful for the proper eradication of echinococcosis in this region. The health department should implement awareness-raising campaigns for the general public in order to reduce the burden of disease.Haroon Ahmed Shahzad Ali Muhammad Sohail Afzal Abid Ali Khan Hamid Raza Zaheer Hussain Shah Sami Simsek 2017Infectious Diseases of Poverty2017,6,1:2
Physiological and biochemical appraisal for mulching and partial rhizosphere drying of cotton显示文摘Water is the main factor for the healthy life of plant. One of the main negative effects of climate change is the increasing scarcity of water that is lethal for plant.Globally, for water deficit regions(arid and semi-arid),drought is the main factor responsible for low production of agriculture, especially for cotton.Great efforts have been and are being made to find alternatives to water saving practices. This study aimed to examine the effects of partial rhizosphere drying(PRD,half of the root system irrigated at one event, and the other half irrigated in the next event, and so on)with and/or without various mulching treatments on physiological and biochemical traits of cotton. To explore this objective,we laid out experiments in completely randomized design with factorial arrangement in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur,Pakistan in 2016.Two factors included were four mulching treatments(M0,no mulching;M1,black plastic mulching;M2,wheat straw mulching;and M3,cotton sticks mulching)and two irrigation levels(I0,control(full irrigation);and I1,PRD).Fisher's analysis of variance among means of treatments was compared using least significant difference test at 5% probability level. Results revealed that the maximum plant height, leaf area, leaf gas exchange(photosynthetic rate and stomata conductance),chlorophyll, proline and total sugar contents, and enzyme activities were higher under M2 than under other three mulching treatments. As for irrigation levels, higher values of plant height, photosynthesis and water related parameters(leaf water potential, leaf osmotic potential, leaf turgor potential, etc.)were recorded.Contents of total sugar and proline and activities of antioxidant enzymes were significantly higher in PRD-treated plants than in control plants. It was concluded that combined application of PRD and mulching was more effective than the rest of the treatments used in the experiment.Similar study can be conducted in the field by applying irrigation water in alternate rows in semi-arid regions.Rashid IQBAL Muhammad A S RAZA Muhammad F SALEEM Imran H KHAN Salman AHMAD Muhammad S ZAHEER Muhammad U ASLAM Imran HAIDER 2019Journal of Arid Land2019,11,5:2
Hydrochemical characteristics and water quality assessment for drinking and agricultural purposes in District Jacobabad,Lower Indus Plain,Pakistan显示文摘Undeniably water is of utmost importance while considering basic necessities. This investigation emphasized on the hydrochemical evaluation and drinking water quality assessment in District Jacobabad located in lower Indus plain,Pakistan.Certainly world's largest irrigation system emerged from Indus Basin, which is underlain by well transmissive aquifer resulting in higher water table.Water supply schemes with their water sources from ground water and surface water provide piped water for drinking purpose to the community.Water samples were collected from all the forty eight supply schemes of which thirty two were found nonfunctional.Analytical parameters were compared with World Health Organization(WHO)and Pakistan Water Quality Standards but adversely substantial samples were found nonpotable.Alkalinity, bicarbonate and nitrate met the standard safe limits while values for EC,TDS,hardness, cations and anions exceeded the limits in numerous samples.SPSS and ArcGIS softwares were used for statistical analysis and spatial distribution of parameters.Hydrochemical facies were developed and suitability assessment of water resources was examined for agricultural use.The ground water type was classified as Na-HCO3 type with high salinity and it required treatment prior to irrigation. The proposed research exhibited the probable drinking water contamination sources and it demanded instant actions to further protect the valuable drinking water resources in District Jacobabad.Asfandyar Shahab Shihua Qi Muhammad Zaheer Audil Rashid Muhammad Afnan Talib Umer Ashraf 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,2:2
Hydrological Response to Environment Change in Himalayan Watersheds: Assessment from Integrated Modeling Approach显示文摘Land use changes such as deforestation, increase in cropping or grazing areas and built-up land, likely modify the water balance and land surface behavior in the Himalayan watersheds. An integrated approach of hydrological and hydraulic modeling was adopted for comparative analysis of hydrological pattern in three Himalayan watersheds i.e.Khanpur,Rawal and Simly situated in the Northern territory of Pakistan. The rainfall-runoff model SWAT- Soil and water assessment tool and Hydro CAD were calibrated for the selected watersheds. The correlation analysis of the precipitation data of two climate stations i.e.Murree and Islamabad, with the discharge data of three rivers was utilized to select best suitable input precipitation data for Hydro CAD rainfall-runoff modeling. The peak flood hydrograph were generated using Hydro CAD runoff to optimize the basin parameters like CN, runoff volume, peak flows of the three watersheds. The hydrological response of the Rawal watershed was studied as a case study to different scenarios of land use change using SWAT model. The scenario of high deforestation indicated a decline of about 6.3% in the groundwater recharge tostream while increase of 7.1% in the surface runoff has been observed under the scenario of growth in urbanization in the recent decades. The integrated modeling approach proved helpful in investigating the hydrological behavior under changing environment at watershed level in the Himalayan region.Zulfiqar AHMAD Arshad ASHRAF Muhammad ZAHEER Humaira BASHIR 2015Journal of Mountain Science2015,12,4:1
Effects of bismuth on structural and dielectric properties of cobalt-cadmium spinel ferrites fabricated via micro-emulsion route显示文摘Spinel ferrites have a significant role in high-tech applications. In the present work nano-crystalline ferrites having general formula Co0.5Cd0.5BixFe2-xO4 with(x=0.0,0.05,0.1,0.15,0.2,and 0.25)are synthesized via micro-emulsion route.Powder x-ray diffraction(XRD)studies discover the FCC spinel structure.Crystalline size is calculated in a range of 11 nm-15 nm.Lattice parameter calculations are reduced due to its substitution which leads to the exchange of large ionic radius of Fe^3+for small ionic radius of Bi^3+.The x-ray density is analyzed to increase with doping.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)is performed to analyze absorption band spectra. The two absorption bands are observed in a range of 400 cm^-1-600 cm^-1,and they are the characteristic feature of spinel structure.Thermo-gravimetric analysis(TGA)reveals the total weight loss of nearly 1.98%.Dielectric analysis is carried out by impedance analyzer in a frequency span from 1 MHz to 3 GHz by using the Maxwell Wagner model.Dielectric studies reveal the decrease of dielectric parameters. The alternating current(AC)conductivity exhibits a plane behavior in a low frequency range and it increases with the applied frequency increasing. This is attributed to the grain effects in a high frequency range or may be due to the reduction of porosity.Real and imaginary part of impedance show the decreasing trend which corresponds to the grain boundary action. The imaginary modulus shows the occurrence of peak that helps to understand the interfacial polarization.Cole-Cole graph shows a single semicircle which confirms that the conduction mechanism is due to the grain boundaries at low frequency.Dielectric studies reveal the applicability of these ferrites in high frequency equipment, microwave applications, high storage media, and semiconductor devices.Furhaj Ahmed Sheikh Muhammad Khalid Muhammad Shahzad Shifa H M Noor ul Huda Khan Asghar Sameen Aslam Ayesha Perveen Jalil ur Rehman Muhammad Azhar Khan Zaheer Abbas Gilani 2019Chinese Physics B2019,28,8:1

A Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform-Based Model for Low-Illumination Image Enhancement显示文摘Image enhancement is a monumental task in the field of computer vision and image processing.Existing methods are insufficient for preserving naturalness and minimizing noise in images. This article discusses a technique that is based on wavelets for optimizing images taken in low-light.First,the V channel is created by mapping an image’s RGB channel to the HSV color space.Second, the acquired V channel is decomposed using the dual-tree complex wavelet transform(DT-CWT)in order to recover the concentrated information within its high and low-frequency subbands.Thirdly,an adaptive illumination boost technique is used to enhance the visibility of a low-frequency component.Simultaneously, anisotropic diffusion is used to mitigate the high-frequency component’s noise impact. To improve the results, the image is reconstructed using an inverse DT-CWT and then converted to RGB space using the newly calculated V.Additionally, images are white-balanced to remove color casts.Experiments demonstrate that the proposed approach significantly improves outcomes and outperforms previously reported methods in general.GUAN Yurong Muhammad Aamir Ziaur Rahman Zaheer Ahmed Dayo Waheed Ahmed Abro Muhammad Ishfaq HU Zhihua 2021Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2021,26,5:1
Evaluation of cotton germplasm for morphological and biochemical host plant UPdates resistance traits against sucking insect pests complex显示文摘Background:Sucking insect pests cause severe damage to cotton crop production. The development of insect resistant cotton cultivars is one of the most effective measures in curtailing the yield losses.Considering the role of morphological and biochemical host plant resista nee(HPR)traits in plant defense,12 cotton genotypes/varieties were evaluated for leaf area, leaf glanding, total soluble sugars, total soluble proteins, total phenolics, tannin and total flavonoids against fluctuating populations of whitefly, thrips and jassid under field conditions. Results:The population of these insects fluctuated during the growing seas on and remained above threshold level(whitefly>5,thrips>(8-10)f or jassid>1 per leaf)during late June and early July.Strong and negative association of whitefly(r=-0.825)and jassid(r=-0.929)with seed cotton yield was observed.Mean population of insects were the highest in Glandless-1 followed by NIA-82 and NIA-M30.NIAB-Kiran followed by NI AB-878 and Sadori were the most resistant, with the mean population of 1.41,1.60,1.66(whitefly);2.24,232,2.53(thrips)and 037,0.31,036(jassid),respectively.The resistant variety NIAB-Kiran showed less soluble sugars(8.54 mg.g^(-1)),soluble proteins(27.11 mg.g^(-1))and more phenolic(36.56 mg.g^(-1))and flavonoids(13.10mg.g^(-1))as compared with the susceptible check Glandless-1.Moreover,all insect populations were positively correlated with total soluble sugars and proteins.Whitefly populations exhibited negative response to leaf gossypol glands, total phenolics, tannins and flavonoids. The thrips and jassid populations had a significant and negative correlation with these four biochemical HPR traits. Conclusion:The ide ntified resistant resources and HPR traits can be deployed against sucking in sect pests'complex in future breeding programs of developing insect resistant cotton varieties.RIZWAN Muhammad ABRO Saifullah ASIF Muhammad Usman HAMEED Amjad MAH BOOB Wajid DEHO Zaheer Ahmed SIAL Mahboob Ali 2021Journal of Cotton Research2021,4,3:0
Computational Algorithms for the Analysis of Cancer Virotherapy Model显示文摘Cancer is a common term for many diseases that can affect any part of the body.In 2020,ten million people will die due to cancer.A worldwide leading cause of death is cancer by the World Health Organization(WHO)report.Interaction of cancer cells, viral therapy, and immune response are identified in this model.Mathematical and computational modeling is an effective tool to predict the dynamics of cancer virotherapy. The cell population is categorized into three parts like uninfected cells(x),infected cells(y),virus-free cells(v),and immune cells(z).The modeling of cancerlike diseases is based on the law of mass action(the rate of change of reacting substances is directly proportional to the product of interacting substances).Positivity, boundedness, equilibria, threshold analysis, are part of deterministic modeling.Later on,a numerical analysis is designed by using the standard and non-standard finite difference methods. The non-standard finite difference method is developed to study the long-term behavior of the cancer model. For its efficiency,a comparison of the methods is investigated.Ali Raza Dumitru Baleanu Muhammad Rafiq Syed Zaheer Abbas Abubakar Siddique Umer Javed Mehvish Naz Arooj Fatima Tayyba Munawar Hira Batool Zaighum Nazir 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,5:0
Analysis of Pneumonia Model via Efficient Computing Techniques显示文摘Pneumonia is a highly transmissible disease in children.According to the World Health Organization(WHO),the most affected regions include south Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.Worldwide,15%of pediatric deaths can be attributed to pneumonia.Computing techniques have a significant role in science, engineering, and many other fields. In this study,we focused on the efficiency of numerical techniques via computer programs. We studied the dynamics of the pneumonia-like infections of epidemic models using numerical techniques. We discuss two types of analysis:dynamical and numerical. The dynamical analysis included positivity, boundedness, local stability, reproduction number, and equilibria of the model. We also discusswell-known computing techniques including Euler,Runge Kutta, and non-standard finite difference(NSFD)for the model. The non-standard finite difference(NSFD)technique shows convergence to the true equilibrium points of the model for any time step size. However,Euler and Runge Kutta do not work well over large time intervals.Computing techniques are the suitable tool for crosschecking the theoretical analysis of the model.Kamaledin Abodayeh Ali Raza Muhammad Rafiq Muhammad Shoaib Arif Muhammad Naveed Zunir Zeb Syed Zaheer Abbas Kiran Shahzadi Sana Sarwar Qasim Naveed Badar Ul Zaman Muhammad Mohsin 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,3:0
Antibacterial activities of some selected plant extracts of local herbal medicines in Lahore-Pakistan显示文摘The antibacterial activity of methanol and acetone extracts of five plant extracts being utilized for the cure of different ailments in Pakistan was studied. The extracts of Curcuma zedoaria,Ipomea turpethum,Sphaeranthus indicus,Terminalia chebula and Tricholepis glaberrima were tested against seven different bacterial strains by well diffusion method and microdilution methods. The pattern of zone of inhibition varied with the plant extracts, the solvent used for extraction and organisms tested.Plant extracts(20 mg/mL) were used to evaluate antibacterial activities. The zone of inhibition exhibited by methanol extracts varied between 11 mm and 32 mm while those of acetone extracts varied between 9 mm and 25 mm respectively. The minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) exhibited by methanol extracts ranged between(18.4-51.1) mg/mL.Overall methanolic extracts showed more activity than the acetone extracts against tested organisms except for S.indicus.The plants were also analyzed for their elemental composition using atomic absorption spectrophotometer to explore natural sources of essential elements that can be utilized for medicinal purposes.Fouzia Noreen Naqi Hussain Muhammad Zaheer Salma Rahman 2012Journal of Chinese Pharmaceutical Sciences2012,21,3:0
Prediction of promiscuous T-cell epitopes in the Zika virus polyprotein:An in silico approach显示文摘Objective:To predict immunogenic promiscuous T-cell epitopes from the polyprotein of the Zika virus using a range of bioinformatics tools. To date,no epitope data are available for the Zika virus in the IEDB database. Methods:We retrieved nearly 54 full length polyprotein sequences of the Zika virus from the NCBI database belonging to different outbreaks.A consensus sequence was then used to predict the promiscuous T cell epitopes that bind MHC 1 and MHC II alleles using Propred1 and Propred immunoinformatic algorithms respectively. The antigencity predicted score was also calculated for each predicted epitope using the Vaxi Jen 2.0 tool. Results:By using Pro Pred1,23 antigenic epitopes for HLA class I and 48 antigenic epitopes for HLA class II were predicted from the consensus polyprotein sequence of Zika virus. The greatest number of MHC class I binding epitopes were projected within the NS5(21%),followed by Envelope(17%).For MHC class II,greatest number of predicted epitopes were in NS5(19%) followed by the Envelope,NS1 and NS2(17% each).A variety of epitopes with good binding affinity, promiscuity and antigenicity were predicted for both the HLA classes. Conclusion:The predicted conserved promiscuous T-cell epitopes examined in this study were reported for the first time and will contribute to the imminent design of Zika virus vaccine candidates, which will be able to induce a broad range of immune responses in a heterogeneous HLA population. However, our results can be verified and employed in future efficacious vaccine formulations only after successful experimental studies.Hamza Dar Tahreem Zaheer Muhammad Talha Rehman Amjad Ali Aneela Javed Gohar Ayub Khan Mustafeez Mujtaba Babar Yasir Waheed 2016Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2016,9,9:0
Thermal optimization of MHD nanofluid over a wedge by using response surface methodology:Sensitivity analysis显示文摘It is well documented that heat transfer is enhanced with addition of nanosized particles in fluid. But,in a mechanical system there are variety of factors influences the heat transfer. Some factors are significant while others are not.In this paper, authors will discuss sensitivity of different input parameters such as Le,Nt and Nb on output responsesNu_(x)and Sh_(x).To achieve this goal, the problem is modeled using basic conservation laws. The formulated model is a set of PDEs,which are converted to set of non-linear ODEs by using similarity transformation. Then these ODEs are solved numerically by using MATLAB built in package bvp4c and compared the numerical results with existing work and found good results.Sensitivity analysis is performed by employing RSM to determine the relationship between the input parameters such that 0.1≤Le≤1,0.1≤Nt≤1 and 0.1≤Nb≤1 and the output responses(Nu_(x)and Sh_(x)).ANOVA tables are generated by using RSM.By using the ANOVA tables the correlations between input parameters and output response are developed. To check the validity of correlated equations, the residuals are plotted graphically and show best correlations between input parameters and output responses. The high values of R^(2)=98.65 and AdjR^(2)=97.43 for Nu_(x)and R^(2)=97.83 and AdjR^(2)=95.88 for Sh_(x)demonstrates the high validity of ANOVA results to perform sensitivity analysis. Finally,we have conducted a sensitivity analysis of the responses and came to the important results that Nt and Nb is most sensitive to Nusselt number and Sherwood number respectively.Ahmed Zeeshan Dilawar Hussain Zaheer Asghar Muhammad Mubashir Bhatti Faisal Z.Duraihem 2023Propulsion and Power Research2023,12,4:0
Tourism Development and Well-Being:The Role of Population and Political Stability显示文摘This study's primary purpose was to explore the role of tourism development in enhancing well-being in a highly populated developing economy by focusing on the case study of Pakistan Several econometric techniques and approaches were used on annual time series data covering the 1990-2016 period to investigate the causal relationship of well-being with tourism development, political stability, economics, and population growth. The findings suggested that tourism development enhances economic growth and well-being,hence providing support for the tourism-led growth hypothesis However, population growth and political instability exhibited a negative relationship with well-being;in addition, the level of political stability determined tourism activities.Hence, this study is unique due to its specific focus on the role of political stability and tourism development in the enhancement of wellbeing in a highly populated developing economy Moreover, the practical implications of the study have been provided in light of the main findings.Asif Khan Sughra Bibi Jiaying Lyu Zaheer Udden Babar Muhammad Alam Hizar Hayat 2022Fudan Journal of the Humanities and Social Sciences2022,15,1:0
Recent progress in Arrhenius activation energy for radiative heat transport of cross nanofluid over a melting wedge显示文摘A theoretical numerical communication is demonstrated to analyze the impact of Arrhenius activation energy and melting phenomena on chemically reactive Falkner-Skan flow of cross nanofluid over a moving wedge with viscous dissipation and nonlinear radiation impacts. The basic partial differential equations for nanoparticle concentration, energy, momentum and mass conservation are reduced to nonlinear ordinary differential equations with the help of appropriate transforming variables and then solved numerically via bvp4c Matlab solver. It is interesting to notice that nanoparticle concentration and concentration boundary layer thickness are uplifted for enhancing values of activation energy parameter.Additionally, magnitude of heat transfer rate is a growing function of the Eckert number.Muhammad Azam Zaheer Abbas 2021Propulsion and Power Research2021,10,4:0
A Progressive Approach to Generic Object Detection: A Two-Stage Framework for Image Recognition显示文摘Object detection in images has been identified as a critical area of research in computer vision image processing.Research has developed several novel methods for determining an object’s location and category from an image. However, there is still room for improvement in terms of detection effi-ciency.This study aims to develop a technique for detecting objects in images. To enhance overall detection performance,we considered object detection a two-fold problem, including localization and classification. The proposed method generates class-independent,high-quality,and precise proposals using an agglomerative clustering technique. We then combine these proposals with the relevant input image to train our network on convolutional features.Next,a network refinement module decreases the quantity of generated proposals to produce fewer high-quality candidate proposals. Finally, revised candidate proposals are sent into the network’s detection process to determine the object type. The algorithm’s performance is evaluated using publicly available the PASCAL Visual Object Classes Challenge 2007(VOC2007),VOC2012,and Microsoft Common Objects in Context(MS-COCO)datasets.Using only 100 proposals per image at intersection over union((IoU)=0.5 and 0.7),the proposed method attains Detection Recall(DR)rates of(93.17%and 79.35%)and(69.4%and 58.35%),and Mean Average Best Overlap(MABO)values of(79.25%and 62.65%),for the VOC2007 and MS-COCO datasets, respectively.Besides,it achieves a Mean Average Precision(mAP)of(84.7%and 81.5%)on both VOC datasets. The experiment findings reveal that our method exceeds previous approaches in terms of overall detection performance, proving its effectiveness.Muhammad Aamir Ziaur Rahman Waheed Ahmed Abro Uzair Aslam Bhatti Zaheer Ahmed Dayo Muhammad Ishfaq 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,6:0
