1Metabolic liver disease of obesity and role of adipose tissue in the pathogenesis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease显示文摘Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is an increasingly recognized cause of liver-related morbidity and mortality. It can develop secondary to numerous causes but a great majority of NAFLD cases occur in patients who are obese or present with other components of metabolic syndrome (hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes). This is called primary NAFLD and insulin resistance plays a key role in its pathogenesis. Obesity is characterized by expanded adipose tissue, which is under a state of chronic inflammation. This disturbs the normal storage and endocrine functions of adipose tissue. In obesity, the secretome (adipokines, cytokines, free fatty acids and other lipid moieties) of fatty tissue is amplified, which through its autocrine, paracrine actions in fat tissue and systemic effects especially in the liver leads to an altered metabolic state with insulin resistance (IR). IR leads to hyperglycemia and reactive hyperinsulinemia, which stimulates lipid-accumulating processes and impairs hepatic lipid metabolism. IR enhances free fatty acid delivery to liver from the adipose tissue storage due to uninhibited lipolysis. These changes result in hepatic abnormal fat accumulation, which may initiate the hepatic IR and further aggravate the altered metabolic state of whole body. Hepatic steatosis can also be explained by the fact that there is enhanced dietary fat delivery and physical inactivity. IR and NAFLD are also seen in various lipodystrophic states in contrary to popular belief that these problems only occur due to excessive adiposity in obesity. 2p16 promoter hypermethylation:A useful serum marker for early detection of gastric cancer显示文摘AIM: To determine p16 promoter hypermethylation in gastric tumoral tissue and serum samples, its impact on p16-protein expression, and correlation with clinical and histological features. METHODS: Samples were obtained from 52 histologically confirmed cases of gastric adenocarcinoma. Gastric tissue and serum of 50 age- and sex-matched individuals with normal gastroscopy and biopsy were obtained as control samples. Methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (MSP) was used to evaluate methylation status of p16 promoter. p16-protein expression was analyzed by immunohistochemical staining on paraffin-embedded sections. RESULTS: Methylation was detected in 44.2% (23/52) of tumoral tissues. 60.9% of them were also methylated in serum, i.e., 26.9% of all patients (14/52). Methylation was not detected in tissue and sera of control samples. p16-protein expression was decreased in 61.5% of cases (32/52), and was significantly associated with promoter hypermethylation (P < 0.001). Methylation was significantly more frequent in higher pathological grades (P < 0.05). Methylation was not associated with other clinicopathological features and environmental factors including H pylori infection and smoking. CONCLUSION: p16 promoter hypermethylation is an important event in gastric carcinogenesis. It is the principle mechanism of p16 gene silencing. It is related to malignant tumor behavior. 3Expression of cell adhesion molecule CD44 in gastric adenocarcinoma and its prognostic importance显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the relation of cluster of differentiation 44 (CD44) expression with clinicopathological features of gastric adenocarcinoma, and also its effect on prognosis with an emphasis on the differences between intestinal and diffuse types. METHODS: From 2000 to 2006, 100 patients with gastric adenocarcinoma, who had undergone total or subtotal gastrectomy without any prior treatment, were studied. Haematoxylin & eosin (HE) staining was used for histological evaluation, including the type (Lauren's classifi cation) and grading of the tumor. The expression of CD44 in the gastric adenocarcinoma mucosa and the adjacent mucosa were determined by immunohistochemistry. The survival analysis was obtained using the Kaplan-Meier test. RESULTS: Of 100 patients, 74 (74%) patients were male. The tumors were categorized as intestinal type (78%) or diffuse type (22%). Sixty-five percent of patients were CD44-positive. CD44 expression was not detected in normal gastric mucosa. Rather, CD44 was more commonly expressed in the intestinal subtype (P = 0.002). A signifi cant relation was seen between the grade of tumor and the expression of CD44 (P = 0.014). The survival analysis showed a poor prognosis of patients with CD44-positive tumors (P = 0.008); and this was more prominent in the intestinal (P = 0.001) rather than diffuse type. CONCLUSION: Cell adhesion molecule CD44 is highly expressed in gastric adenocarcinoma. CD44 expression is correlated with a poor prognosis in patients with the intestinal type of gastric adenocarcinoma. 5Imaging evaluation of traumatic thoracolumbar spine injuries: Radiological review显示文摘Spine fractures account for a large portion of musculoskeletal injuries worldwide. A classification of spine fractures is necessary in order to develop a common language for treatment indications and outcomes. Several classification systems have been developed based on injury anatomy or mechanisms of action, but they have demonstrated poor reliability, have yielded little prognostic information, and have not been widely used. For this reason, the Arbeitsgemeinschaftfür Osteosynthesefragen(AO) committee has classified thorocolumbar spine injuries based on the pathomorphological criteria into3 types(A: Compression; B: Distraction; C: Axial torque and rotational deformity). Each of these types is further divided into 3 groups and 3 subgroups reflecting progressive scale of morphological damage and the degree of instability. Because of its highly detailed sub classifications, the AO system has shown limited interobserver variability. It is similar to its predecessors in that it does not incorporate the patient's neurologic status.The need for a reliable, reproducible, clinically relevant, prognostic classification system with an optimal balance of ease of use and detail of injury description contributed to the development of a new classification system, the thoracolumbar injury classification and severity score(TLICS). The TLICS defines injury based on three clinical characteristics: injury morphology, integrity of the posterior ligamentous complex, and neurologic status of the patient. 6西非埃博拉病毒病传入中国的可能航线和风险估计显示文摘2014年8月8日,世界卫生组织宣布西非埃博拉病毒病疫情为"国际公共卫生紧急事件".为评估西非埃博拉病毒病传入中国的可能航线和风险,本研究基于2013年10-12月的国际民用航空客运数据,分析疫情最严重的3个西非国家(几内亚、利比里亚和塞拉利昂)来华旅客传入疫情的风险.2013年第4季度从西非三国离境旅客为107113人次,其中3167人(3.0%)将主要通过法国、比利时和阿联酋等8个国家的机场转机后,抵达中国大陆.入境机场分布在北京、广州、上海、杭州、武汉、重庆和大连,目的地城市为北京、广州、武汉、上海、杭州、重庆和温州等.假设2014年第4季度与2013年同期出行方式和人数不变,估计相关机场口岸平均每入境和查验国际旅客2235名就有1名来自疫区的旅客;预测2014年10-12月可能传入的埃博拉病毒感染者旅客为0.54人次,其中利比里亚0.35人次、塞拉利昂0.16人次、几内亚0.03人次.若疫区发病水平上升或来华旅客人数减少,则传入的感染者人数呈现相应程度地增加或减少.研究表明,埃博拉病毒病疫情通过民航旅客传入我国的可能性是存在的,但风险较低.我国可支持西非疫区国家开展离境病例筛查,及早发现病例,并有针对性地在我国重点入境口岸开展高风险人群的查验,在主要目的地城市加强监测.赖圣杰 Jennifer Miniota 王丽萍 任翔 张洪龙 李中杰 高福 Kamran Khan 余宏杰 2014科学通报2014,59,36:14

9Hepatitis B and C virus-induced hepatitis: Apoptosis, autophagy, and unfolded protein response显示文摘AIM: To investigate the co-incidence of apoptosis, autophagy, and unfolded protein response(UPR) in hepatitis B(HBV) and C(HCV) infected hepatocytes.METHODS: We performed immunofluorescence confocal microscopy on 10 liver biopsies from HBV and HCV patients and tissue microarrays of HBV positive liver samples. We used specific antibodies for LC3β, cleaved caspase-3, BIP(GRP78), and XBP1 to detect autophagy, apoptosis and UPR, respectively. AntiHCV NS3 and anti-HBs antibodies were also used to confirm infection. We performed triple blind counting of events to determine the co-incidence of autophagy(LC3β punctuate), apoptosis(cleaved caspase-3), and unfolded protein response(GRP78) with HBV and HCV infection in hepatocytes. All statistical analyses were performed using SPSS software for Windows(Version 16 SPSS Inc, Chicago, IL, United States). P-values < 0.05 were considered statistically significant. Statistical analyses were performed with Mann-Whitney test to compare incidence rates for autophagy, apoptosis, and UPR in HBV- and HCV-infected cells and adjacent noninfected cells.RESULTS: Our results showed that infection of hepatocytes with either HBV and HCV induces significant increase(P < 0.001) in apoptosis(cleavage of caspase-3), autophagy(LC3β punctate), and UPR(increase in GRP78 expression) in the HCV- and HBVinfected cells, as compared to non-infected cells of the same biopsy sections. Our tissue microarray immunohistochemical expression analysis of LC3β in HBV^(Neg) and HBV^(Pos) revealed that majority of HBVinfected hepatocytes display strong positive stainingfor LC3β. Interestingly, although XBP splicing in HBVinfected cells was significantly higher(P < 0.05), our analyses show a slight increase of XBP splicing was in HCV-infected cells(P > 0.05). Furthermore, our evaluation of patients with HBV and HCV infection based on stage and grade of the liver diseases revealed no correlation between these pathological findings and induction of apoptosis, autophagy, and UPR.CONCLUSION: The results of this study indicate that HCV and HBV infection activates apoptosis, autophagy and UPR, but slightly differently by each virus. 11A model to determine hole spacing in the rock fracture process by non-explosive expansion material显示文摘The application of the non-explosive expansion material (NEEM) is widely used as the controlled fracture method in quarry mining,especially in hard rocks.The pressure of NEEM is an important parameter in causing rock fracture.An empirical model based on hole spacing was developed to determine the pressure of NEEM in the rock fracture process.Primarily,the empirical model was developed by the mathematical method,utilizing dimensional analysis.Then,the Phase2 code,which is based on the finite element method,was utilized to predict crack growth in rocks.The results of numerical analysis show slight deviations from the empirical model.Hence,the polynomial regression analysis was used to modify the model.Finally,the modified model shows a good agreement with the results gained from numerical modeling.Shobeir Arshadnejad Kamran Goshtasbi Jamshid Aghazadeh 2011International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2011,18,5:12

14Oral manifestation in inflammatory bowel disease:A review显示文摘Inflammatory bowel diseases(IBDs),including Crohn’s disease(CD)and ulcerative colitis,not only affect the intestinal tract but also have an extraintestinal involvement within the oral cavity.These oral manifestations may assist in the diagnosis and the monitoring of disease activity,whilst ignoring them may lead to an inaccurate diagnosis and useless and expensive workups.Indurated tag-like lesions,cobblestoning,and mucogingivitis are the most common specific oral findings encountered in CD cases.Aphthous stomatitis and pyostomatitis vegetans are among non-specific oral manifestations of IBD.In differential diagnosis,side effects of drugs,infections,nutritional deficiencies,and other inflammatory conditions should also be considered.Treatment usually involves managing the underlying intestinal disease.In severe cases with local symptoms,topical and/or systemic steroids and immunosuppressive drugs might be used.Kamran B Lankarani Gholam Reza Sivandzadeh Shima Hassanpour 2013World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,46:10

16Effects of uniconazole with or without micronutrient on the lignin biosynthesis,lodging resistance,and winter wheat production in semiarid regions显示文摘Lodging stress results in grain yield and quality reduction in wheat. Uniconazole, a potential plant growth regulator significantly enhances lignin biosynthesis and thus provides mechanical strength to plants in order to cope with lodging stress. A field study was conducted during the 2015–2016 and 2016–2017 growing seasons, to investigate the effects of uniconazole sole application or with micronutrient on the lignin biosynthesis, lodging resistance, and production of winter wheat. In the first experiment, uniconazole at concentrations of 0(CK), 15(US1), 30(US2), and 45(US3) mg L^-1 was applied as sole seed soaking, while in the second experiment with manganese(Mn) at concentration of 0.06 g L^-1 Mn, 0.06 g L^-1 Mn+ 15 mg L^-1 uniconazole(UMS1), 0.06 g L^-1 Mn+30 mg L^-1 uniconazole(UMS2), and 0.06 g L^-1 Mn+45 mg L^-1 uniconazole(UMS3), respectively. Uniconazole sole application or with micronutrient significantly increased the lignin content by improving the lignin-related enzyme activities of phenylalanine ammonia-lyase, cinnamyl alcohol dehydrogenase, tyrosine ammonialyase, and peroxidase, ameliorating basal internode characteristics, and breaking strength. The spike length, spike diameter, spikes/plant, weight/spike, yield/spike, and grain yield increased and then decreased with uniconazole application at a higher concentration, where their maximum values were recorded with UMS2 and US2 treatments. The lignin accumulation was positively correlated with lignin-related enzyme activities and breaking strength while, negatively correlated with lodging rate. 17Recent advances in spinel-type electrocatalysts for bifunctional oxygen reduction and oxygen evolution reactions显示文摘The demand for efficient and environmentally-benign electrocatalysts that help availably harness the renewable energy resources is growing rapidly. In recent years, increasing insights into the design of water electrolysers, fuel cells, and metal–air batteries emerge in response to the need for developing sustainable energy carriers, in which the oxygen evolution reaction and the oxygen reduction reaction play key roles. However, both reactions suffer from sluggish kinetics that restricts the reactivity. Therefore, it is vital to probe into the structure of the catalysts to exploit high-performance bifunctional oxygen electrocatalysts. Spinel-type catalysts are a class of materials with advantages of versatility, low toxicity, low expense, high abundance, flexible ion arrangement, and multivalence structure. In this review, we afford a basic overview of spinel-type materials and then introduce the relevant theoretical principles for electrocatalytic activity, following that we shed light on the structure–property relationship strategies for spinel-type catalysts including electronic structure, microstructure, phase and composition regulation,and coupling with electrically conductive supports. 18Lanthanum chloride improves maize grain yield by promoting photosynthetic characteristics, antioxidants enzymes and endogenous hormone at reproductive stages显示文摘Despite an increase in application spectrum of rare earth elements in agriculture, all studies show that the suitable accumulation of rare earth elements can improve the crop seedling growth, but there is little research about REEs on physiological mechanisms of crops at reproductive stages. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the possible potential benefits of lanthanum chloride(LaCl3) on the senescence and grain yield responses of maize. In this study, maize seeds were pre-treated by soaking with LaCl3 at the concentrations of 0(CK), 400(LC1), 800(LC2) and 1200(LC3) μmol/L, to evaluate its effect on the green leaf area, chlorophyll contents, photosynthesis, antioxidants, endogenous hormones in the later crop growth stages. The results show that LC1 and LC2 treatments evidently increase green leaf area, above ground dry biomass, accompanied by a distinct increase in the chlorophyll contents, and photo synthetic capacity, which promote the ear characteristics and grain yield of maize. In addition, LC1 and LC2 treatments simultaneously increase the activities of antioxidants, including superoxide dismutases, catalases, peroxidases, soluble protein, and enhanced levels of auxin, gibberellin and zeatin,following a dose-response tendency. Themalondialdehyde and abscisic acid levels transiently increase with the progression in the growth stage of the crop but are markedly decreased at LC1 and LC2 treatments, while LC3 treatment has no significant effect on malondialdehyde and even accelerates the accumulation of abscisic acid in maize leaves. Our data suggest that seed priming with LaCl3 at a suitable concentration range(400-800 μmol/L) can prolong the functional periods of leaves, increase photosynthetic capacity, enhance antioxidant activity, and alter endogenous hormone levels at reproductive stages, resulting in delaying leaf senescence rate and increasing yield. 19山东烟区首次发现番茄斑萎病毒侵染显示文摘为确定番茄斑萎病毒(TSWV)在山东烟草上的侵染,基于GenBank中已有的TSWV基因组序列设计该病毒特异性引物,通过总RNA提取,RT-PCR扩增,全基因组序列测定和拼接分析等,结果表明,山东临沂疑似病样中含有TSWV,该TSWV分离物具有3条RNA链,大小分别为8911、4773和2971bp,与国内已报道的其他TSWV分离物核酸序列同源性均在99.0%以上,蛋白氨基酸序列同源性均在98.0%以上。系统进化分析结果显示,该分离物与已报道的TSWV云南分离物聚类到同一分支中,推测山东烟区中的TSWV可能由云南烟区通过带毒介体的迁入而传入。该研究为山东烟区TSWV的发生流行溯源和该危险性病毒病的精准测报及防控提供科学依据。张万红 冯佳 ALI Kamran 罗健达 杨举田 王术科 宗浩 申莉莉 李莹 王凤龙 张石飞 杨金广 金轲 2020中国烟草科学2020,41,5:6
20冠状动脉旁路移植术治疗冠心病合并糖尿病患者有效性和安全性的Meta分析显示文摘目的采用Meta分析方法评价冠状动脉旁路移植术(CABG)与经皮冠状动脉支架置入术(DES-PCI)比较治疗冠脉多支病变合并糖尿病患者的有效性和安全性。方法计算机检索e Cochrane Library、PubMed、MEDLINE、EMbase、CBM、CNKI、WanFang Data和VIP等数据库,并手工检索已发表的资料和会议论文,追索纳入文献的参考文献,收集有关冠脉多支病变合并糖尿病患者血运重建策略的随机对照试验,检索时限均从建库至2010年。由2位评价者根据纳入排除标准独立选择文献、提取资料和评价纳入研究的方法学质量,然后采用RevMan 5.0软件进行Meta分析。结果共纳入8个RCT,合计3 689例患者,其中CABG组1 814例,DES-PCI组1 875例。Meta分析结果显示:与DES-PCI组相比,CABG组能显著降低术后再次血运重建率[OR=0.27,95%CI(0.10,0.69),P=0.006]及主要心脑血管事件发生率[OR=0.49,95%CI(0.38,0.62),P<0.000 01],但在降低病死率[OR=0.84,95%CI(0.64,1.10),P=0.21]、脑血管事件发生率[OR=2.00,95%CI(0.97,4.14),P=0.06]及心肌梗死发生率[OR=0.92,95%CI(0.53,1.59),P=0.75]方面,两组差异均无统计学意义。结论 CABG治疗冠脉多支病变合并糖尿病患者的疗效明显优于DES-PCI。受纳入研究质量和数量所限,上述结论仍需更多大样本、多中心、前瞻性的随机对照研究加以验证。李俊红 艾克拜尔 Kamran Y Inamdar 木拉提 2012中国循证医学杂志2012,12,9:6
