1NS1 antigen: A new beam of light in the early diagnosis of dengue infection显示文摘Objective: To evaluate NS1 antigen detection ELISA for the early laboratory diagnosis of dengue virus infection. Methods: The present study was conducted to evaluate the overall positivity of NS1 antigen detection ELISA and its comparison with viral RNA detection via real time PCR and Ig M antibodies detection by ELISA. Results: A total of 1 270 serum samples were tested 86%(1 097/1 270) were detected positive by one or more than one diagnostic test. 3Engineering Leaf-Like UiO-66-SO3H Membranes for Selective Transport of Cations显示文摘Metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)with angstrom-sized pores are promising functional nanomaterials for the fabrication of cation permselective membranes(MOF-CPMs).However,only a few research reports show successful preparation of the MOF-CPMs with good cation separation performance due to several inherent problems in MOFs,such as arduous selfassembly,poor water resistance,and tedious fabrication strategies.Besides,low cation permeation flux due to the absence of the cation permeation assisting functionalities in MOFs is another big issue,which limits their widespread use in membrane technology.Therefore,it is necessary to fabricate functional MOF-CPMs using simplistic strategies to improve cation permeation.In this context,we report a facile in situ smart growth strategy to successfully produce ultrathin(<600 nm)and leaflike UiO-66-SO3H membranes at the surface of anodic alumina oxide.The physicochemical characterizations confirm that sulfonated angstrom-sized ion transport channels exist in the as-prepared UiO-66-SO3H membranes,which accelerate the cation permeation(~3×faster than non-functionalized UiO-66 membrane)and achieve a high ion selectivity(Na^+/Mg^2+>140).The outstanding cation separation performance validates the importance of introducing sulfonic acid groups in MOF-CPMs.Tingting Xu Muhammad Aamir Shehzad Xin Wang Bin Wu Liang Ge Tongwen Xu 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,4:3

5An Optimized Convolution Neural Network Architecture for Paddy Disease Classification显示文摘Plant disease classification based on digital pictures is challenging.Machine learning approaches and plant image categorization technologies such as deep learning have been utilized to recognize,identify,and diagnose plant diseases in the previous decade.Increasing the yield quantity and quality of rice forming is an important cause for the paddy production countries.However,some diseases that are blocking the improvement in paddy production are considered as an ominous threat.Convolution Neural Network(CNN)has shown a remarkable performance in solving the early detection of paddy leaf diseases based on its images in the fast-growing era of science and technology.Nevertheless,the significant CNN architectures construction is dependent on expertise in a neural network and domain knowledge.This approach is time-consuming,and high computational resources are mandatory.In this research,we propose a novel method based on Mutant Particle swarm optimization(MUT-PSO)Algorithms to search for an optimum CNN architecture for Paddy leaf disease classification.Experimentation results show that Mutant Particle swarm optimization Convolution Neural Network(MUTPSO-CNN)can find optimumCNNarchitecture that offers better performance than existing hand-crafted CNN architectures in terms of accuracy,precision/recall,and execution time.Muhammad Asif Saleem Muhammad Aamir Rosziati Ibrahim Norhalina Senan Tahir Alyas 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,6:2

7High-temperature stress suppresses allene oxide cyclase 2 and causes male sterility in cotton by disrupting jasmonic acid signaling显示文摘Cotton(Gossypium spp.) yield is reduced by stress. In this study, high temperature(HT) suppressed the expression of the jasmonic acid(JA) biosynthesis gene allene oxide cyclase 2(GhAOC2), reducing JA content and causing male sterility in the cotton HT-sensitive line H05. Anther sterility was reversed by exogenous application of methyl jasmonate(MeJA) to early buds. To elucidate the role of GhAOC2 in JA biosynthesis and identify its putative contribution to the anther response to HT, we created gene knockout cotton plants using the CRISPR/Cas9 system. Ghaoc2 mutant lines showed male-sterile flowers with reduced JA content in the anthers at the tetrad stage(TS), tapetum degradation stage(TDS), and anther dehiscence stage(ADS). Exogenous application of MeJA to early mutant buds(containing TS or TDS anthers) rescued the sterile pollen and indehiscent anther phenotypes, while ROS signals were reduced in ADS anthers. We propose that HT downregulates the expression of GhAOC2 in anthers, reducing JA biosynthesis and causing excessive ROS accumulation in anthers, leading to male sterility. 8Sowing uniformity of bed-type pneumatic maize planter at various seedbed preparation levels and machine travel speeds显示文摘Precision planters are important machines in the regime of modern technological agriculture.Field conditions,seed metering system and machine operating parameters affect the pneumatic planter performance.The pneumatic planter was evaluated to determine the effect of three tillage levels(L1,L2,and L3)and four travel speeds(S1,S2,S3 and S4).The sowing uniformity of the planter was observed with respect to the horizontal distribution of seeds within a row and described by using the precision index(Ip),the multiple index(Imult),the miss-seeding index(Imiss)and the quality of feed index(Iqf).The results revealed that the tillage levels(L)and travel speed(S)had a significant effect(p<0.05)on dependent variables.The maximum Imiss(22.12%)was observed at L1 and S4 whereas the maximum Imult was observed at L1 and S1.The mean values of missing-,multi-,quality-feed and precision indices were 5.14%,5.833%,89.03%and 17.85%at L3,respectively.The mean values of multi-index 17.59%,14.44%,12.40%and 10.18%,quality feed index 74.07%,75.92%,75.74%and 74.07%and precision indices 21.47%,23.26%,25.51%and 28.53%were at S1,S2,S3 and S4,respectively.The study showed that maize could be seeding within an acceptable precise range by bed-type pneumatic planter subjected to the proper seedbed preparation level.Fiaz Ahmad Muhammad Adeel Baijing Qiu Jing Ma Muhammad Shoaib Aamir Shakoor Farman Ali Chandio 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,1:1
9Temperature trends and elevation dependent warming during 1965-2014 in headwaters of Yangtze River, Qinghai Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The understanding of temperature trends in high elevation mountain areas is an integral part of climate change research and it is critical for assessing the impacts of climate change on water resources including glacier melt, degradation of soils, and active layer thickness. In this study, climate changes were analyzed based on trends in air temperature variables(Tmax, Tmin, Tmean), and Diurnal Temperature Range(DTR) as well as elevation-dependent warming at annual and seasonal scales in the Headwaters of Yangtze River(HWYZ), Qinghai Tibetan Plateau. The Base Period(1965-2014) was split into two subperiods;Period-Ⅰ(1965-1989) and Period-Ⅱ(1990-2014) and the analysis was constrained over two subbasins;Zhimenda and Tuotuohe. Increasing trends were found in absolute changes in temperature variables during Period-Ⅱ as compared to Period-Ⅰ.Tmax, Tmin, and Tmean had significant increasing trends for both sub-basins. The highest significant trends in annual time scale were observed in Tmin(1.15℃ decade-1) in Tuotuohe and 0.98℃ decade-1 in Zhimenda sub-basins. In Period-Ⅱ, only the winter season had the highest magnitudes of Tmax and Tmin0.58℃ decade-1 and 1.26℃ decade-1 in Tuotuohe subbasin, respectively. Elevation dependent warming analysis revealed that Tmax, Tmin and Tmean trend magnitudes increase with the increase of elevations in the middle reaches(4000 m to 4400 m) of the HWYZ during Period-Ⅱ annually. The increasing trend magnitude during Period-Ⅱ, for Tmax, is 1.77, 0.92, and 1.31℃ decade-1, for Tmin 1.20, 1.32 and 1.59℃ decade-1,for Tmean 1.51, 1.10 and 1.51℃ decade-1 at elevations of4066 m, 4175 m and 4415 m respectively in the winter season. Tmean increases during the spring season for> 3681 m elevations during Period-Ⅱ, with no particular relation with elevation dependency for other variables. During the summer season in Period Ⅱ, Tmax, Tmin, Tmean increases with the increase of elevations(3681 m to 4415 m) in the middle reaches of HWYZ. Elevation dependent warming(EDW), the study concluded that magnitudes of Tmin are increasing significantly after the 1990s as compared to Tmax in the HWYZ. It is concluded that the climate of the HWYZ is getting warmer in both sub-basins and the rate of warming was more evident after the 1990s. 12Fishery stock assessment of Kiddi shrimp (Parapenaeopsis stylifera) in the Northern Arabian Sea Coast of Pakistan by using surplus production models显示文摘Pakistani marine waters are under an open access regime.Due to poor management and policy implications,blind fishing is continued which may result in ecological as well as economic losses.Thus,it is of utmost importance to estimate fishery resources before harvesting.In this study,catch and effort data,1996-2009,of Kiddi shrimp Parapenaeopsis stylifera fishery from Pakistani marine waters was analyzed by using specialized fishery software in order to know fishery stock status of this commercially important shrimp.Maximum,minimum and average capture production of P.stylifera was observed as 15 912 metric tons(mt)(1997),9 438 mt(2009) and 11 667 mt/a.Two stock assessment tools viz.CEDA(catch and effort data analysis) and ASPIC(a stock production model incorporating covariates) were used to compute MSY(maximum sustainable yield) of this organism.In CEDA,three surplus production models,Fox,Schaefer and Pella-Tomlinson,along with three error assumptions,log,log normal and gamma,were used.For initial proportion(IP) 0.8,the Fox model computed MSY as 6 858 mt(CV=0.204,R^2=0.709) and 7 384 mt(CV=0.149,R^2=0.72) for log and log normal error assumption respectively.Here,gamma error produced minimization failure.Estimated MSY by using Schaefer and Pella-Tomlinson models remained the same for log,log normal and gamma error assumptions i.e.7 083 mt,8 209 mt and 7 242 mt correspondingly.The Schafer results showed highest goodness of fit R^2(0.712) values.ASPIC computed MSY,CV,R^2,F_(MSY)and B_(MSY) parameters for the Fox model as 7 219 mt,0.142,0.872,0.111 and 65 280,while for the Logistic model the computed values remained 7 720 mt,0.148,0.868,0.107 and 72 110 correspondingly.Results obtained have shown that P.stylifera has been overexploited.Immediate steps are needed to conserve this fishery resource for the future and research on other species of commercial importance is urgently needed.MOHSIN Muhammad 慕永通 MEMON Aamir Mahmood KALHORO Muhammad Talib SHAH Syed Baber Hussainin 2017Chinese Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2017,35,4:1

16Automatic Heart Disease Detection by Classification of Ventricular Arrhythmias on ECG Using Machine Learning显示文摘This paper focuses on detecting diseased signals and arrhythmias classification into two classes:ventricular tachycardia and premature ventricular contraction.The sole purpose of the signal detection is used to determine if a signal has been collected from a healthy or sick person.The proposed research approach presents a mathematical model for the signal detector based on calculating the instantaneous frequency(IF).Once a signal taken from a patient is detected,then the classifier takes that signal as input and classifies the target disease by predicting the class label.While applying the classifier,templates are designed separately for ventricular tachycardia and premature ventricular contraction.Similarities of a given signal with both the templates are computed in the spectral domain.The empirical analysis reveals precisions for the detector and the applied classifier are 100%and 77.27%,respectively.Moreover,instantaneous frequency analysis provides a benchmark that IF of a normal signal ranges from 0.8 to 1.1 Hz whereas IF range for ventricular tachycardia and premature ventricular contraction is 0.08–0.6 Hz.This indicates a serious loss of high-frequency contents in the spectrum,implying that the heart’s overall activity is slowed down.This study may help medical practitioners in detecting the heart disease type based on signal analysis.Khalid Mahmood Aamir Muhammad Ramzan Saima Skinadar Hikmat Ullah Khan Usman Tariq Hyunsoo Lee Yunyoung Nam Muhammad Attique Khan 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,4:1

18A Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform-Based Model for Low-Illumination Image Enhancement显示文摘Image enhancement is a monumental task in the field of computer vision and image processing.Existing methods are insufficient for preserving naturalness and minimizing noise in images.This article discusses a technique that is based on wavelets for optimizing images taken in low-light.First,the V channel is created by mapping an image’s RGB channel to the HSV color space.Second,the acquired V channel is decomposed using the dual-tree complex wavelet transform(DT-CWT)in order to recover the concentrated information within its high and low-frequency subbands.Thirdly,an adaptive illumination boost technique is used to enhance the visibility of a low-frequency component.Simultaneously,anisotropic diffusion is used to mitigate the high-frequency component’s noise impact.To improve the results,the image is reconstructed using an inverse DT-CWT and then converted to RGB space using the newly calculated V.Additionally,images are white-balanced to remove color casts.Experiments demonstrate that the proposed approach significantly improves outcomes and outperforms previously reported methods in general.GUAN Yurong Muhammad Aamir Ziaur Rahman Zaheer Ahmed Dayo Waheed Ahmed Abro Muhammad Ishfaq HU Zhihua 2021Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2021,26,5:1
