| 1 | Enhanced Reversible Zinc Ion Intercalation in Deficient Ammonium Vanadate for High-Performance Aqueous Zinc-Ion Battery显示文摘Ammonium vanadate with bronze structure(NH_(4)V_(4)O_(10))is a promising cathode material for zinc-ion batteries due to its high specific capacity and low cost.However,the extraction of NH^(+)_(4) at a high voltage during charge/discharge processes leads to irreversible reaction and structure degradation.In this work,partial NH^(+)_(4) ions were pre-removed from NH_(4)V_(4)O_(10) through heat treatment;NH_(4)V_(4)O_(10) nanosheets were directly grown on carbon cloth through hydrothermal method.Defi-cient NH_(4)V_(4)O_(10)(denoted as NVO),with enlarged interlayer spacing,facilitated fast zinc ions transport and high storage capacity and ensured the highly reversible electrochemical reaction and the good stability of layered structure.The NVO nanosheets delivered a high specific capac-ity of 457 mAh g^(−1) at a current density of 100 mA g^(−1) and a capacity retention of 81%over 1000 cycles at 2 A g^(−1).The initial Coulombic efficiency of NVO could reach up to 97%compared to 85%of NH_(4)V_(4)O_(10) and maintain almost 100%during cycling,indicating the high reaction reversibility in NVO electrode. | Quan Zong Wei Du Chaofeng Liu Hui Yang Qilong Zhang Zheng Zhou Muhammad Atif Mohamad Alsalhi Guozhong Cao | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,8: | 4 |
| 2 | Surface plasmon polariton at the interface of dielectric and graphene medium using Kerr effect显示文摘We theoretically investigate the control of surface plasmon polariton(SPP) generated at the interface of dielectric and graphene medium under Kerr nonlinearity. The controlled Kerr nonlinear signal of probe light beam in a dielectric medium is used to generate SPPs at the interface of dielectric and graphene medium. The positive, negative absorption, and dispersion properties of SPPs are modified and controlled by the control and Kerr fields. A large amplification(negative absorption) is noted for SPPs under the Kerr nonlinearity. The normal/anomalous slope of dispersion and propagation length of SPPs is modified and controlled with Kerr nonlinearity. This leads to significant variation in slow and fast SPP propagation. | 4 | Interferon-β induced in female genital epithelium by HIV-1 glycoprotein 120 via Toll-like-receptor 2 pathway acts to protect the mucosal barrier显示文摘More than 40%of HIV infections occur via female reproductive tract(FRT)through heterosexual transmission.Epithelial cells that line the female genital mucosa are the first line of defense against HIV-1 and other sexually transmitted pathogens.These sentient cells recognize and respond to external stimuli by induction of a range of carefully balanced innate immune responses.Previously,we have shown that in response to HIV-1 gp120,the genital epithelial cells(GECs)from upper reproductive tract induce an inflammatory response that may facilitate HIV-1 translocation and infection.In this study,we report that the endometrial and endocervical GECs simultaneously induce biologically active interferon-β(IFNβ)antiviral responses following exposure to HIV-1 that act to protect the epithelial tight junction barrier.The innate antiviral response was directly induced by HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein gp120 and addition of gp120 neutralizing antibody inhibited IFNβproduction.Interferon-βwas induced by gp120 in upper GECs through Toll-like receptor 2 signaling and required presence of heparan sulfate on epithelial cell surface.The induction of IFNβwas dependent upon activation of transcription factor IRF3(interferon regulatory factor 3).The IFNβwas biologically active,had a protective effect on epithelial tight junction barrier and was able to inhibit HIV-1 infection in TZM-bl indicator cells and HIV-1 replication in T cells.This is the first report that recognition of HIV-1 by upper GECs leads to induction of innate antiviral pathways.This could explain the overall low infectivity of HIV-1 in the FRT and could be exploited for HIV-1 prophylaxis. | Aisha Nazli Sara Dizzell Muhammad Atif Zahoor Victor H Ferreira Jessica Kafka Matthew William Woods Michel Ouellet Ali A Ashkar Michel J Tremblay Dawn ME Bowdish Charu Kaushic | 2019 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,2: | 2 |

| 6 | 优化施肥对琯溪蜜柚产量、品质和碳排放的影响显示文摘明确减量优化施肥和增施钙镁肥对平和琯溪蜜柚产量、品质和碳排放的影响,为琯溪蜜柚绿色提质增效施肥技术提供科学依据。在蜜柚主产区平和县坂仔镇布置6个田间试验点,设置农户常规施肥(FFP)、优化施肥(OPT,减量施用氮磷钾肥)和优化施肥+钙镁肥(OPT+Ca Mg)处理,研究不同施肥处理对蜜柚产量、品质、肥料偏生产力、经济效益和碳排放的影响。结果表明:(1)与FFP处理相比,OPT和OPT+Ca Mg处理减肥不减产,且OPT+Ca Mg处理可以显著降低果实的可滴定酸含量(降幅7.0%)、提高固酸比(增幅8.8%),部分试验点可溶性固形物含量存在显著差异,但平均可溶性固形物含量无显著差异,不同处理的果实可食率无显著差异;(2)与FFP处理相比,OPT和OPT+Ca Mg处理的氮、磷、钾肥料偏生产力分别显著增加100.3%、130.6%、115.9%和105.1%、135.6%、120.2%;(3)与FFP处理相比,OPT和OPT+Ca Mg处理每公顷农资成本分别减少1.3万和1.1万元(降幅分别为25.3%和20.7%),每公顷利润分别显著增加2.74万和3.23万元(增幅分别为28.2%和33.3%);(4)与FFP处理相比,OPT和OPT+Ca Mg处理的蜜柚园碳排放总量、单位面积净碳排放和碳足迹均分别显著减少27.0%和23.9%、39.0%和34.0%、45.0%和44.0%。综上,化肥减量施用的同时增施钙镁肥是蜜柚生产绿色提质增效的有效措施,不仅没有降低蜜柚的产量,还能显著提高果实的品质和肥料利用率、减少碳排放。 | 张卫强 许修柱 陈晓辉 Muhammad Atif Muneer 叶德练 吴良泉 | 2022 | 中国土壤与肥料2022,,6: | 2 |
| 7 | The electronic and magnetic properties of wurtzite Mn:CdS, Cr:CdS and Mn:Cr:CdS: first principles calculations显示文摘In this article, density functional theory(DFT) based on generalized gradient approximation(GGA)and GGACU, U is Hubbard term, is used to study the electronic properties of CdS doped with different dopants(Cr, Mn). The calculations are carried out for Mn-doped CdS, Cr-doped CdS, and co-doping of Mn/Cr in CdS simultaneously. It is found that hopping of electrons is possible with Cr:CdS and Mn:Cr:CdS while Mn:CdS does not allow the hopping of electrons. Moreover, double exchange interactions are observed in Cr:CdS and d-d superexchange interactions are observed in Mn:CdS. Now the problem becomes interesting when one magnetic ion(Cr) supporting double exchange interactions and another ion(Mn) supporting d-d super-exchange interactions are doped simultaneously in the same system(CdS). The co-doped CdS is more stable even at high Curie temperature due to p-d double exchange interactions and d-d super exchange interactions. | 10 | 印度河上游Bagrot山谷降水稳定同位素变化及与水汽来源的关系显示文摘利用2015年8月—2016年7月在印度河上游流域Bagrot山谷降水稳定同位素(δ^(18)O和δD)观测结果以及当地气象资料,利用同位素示踪及统计分析方法,并结合HYSPLIT模型,对研究区降水稳定同位素变化特征、大气水线以及水汽来源进行了分析。结果表明:观测期间Bagrot山谷降水稳定同位素的季节变化明显,δ^(18)O与δD秋冬季偏低,春夏季偏高,且与气温变化一致,存在显著的温度效应,而降水量效应不明显。而且发现研究区局地大气水线截距和斜率均低于全球的,反映了降水过程中云下二次蒸发作用较为强烈,因此,不同的降水形态导致该研究区局地大气水线的斜率和截距不同。当液态降水(降雨)发生时,由于在较为干旱的气候环境下,雨滴在降落的过程中受到二次蒸发相对较强,使得局地大气水线的斜率和截距偏低;而当固态降水(降雪)发生时,由于温度较低,受再循环水汽和二次蒸发的影响较小,导致局地大气水线的斜率和截距均偏高。Bagrot山谷及其周边地区,从南到北局地大气水线的斜率相差不大,而其截距总体上随着纬度升高而降低,可能与云下二次蒸发导致稳定同位素发生的不平衡分馏逐渐强烈有关。通过Bagrot山谷站点降水稳定同位素观测结果并结合HYSPLIT模型的后向追踪,研究还发现,研究区全年主要受西风环流以及局地环流的影响。但与研究区以北的临近站点(慕士塔格、和田等)相比有所不同,由于Bagrot山谷位置更靠南,其仍然偶尔受到来自南方的海洋性水汽影响。这一研究结果可能对该地区树轮稳定同位素记录的解译具有一定的指示意义。 | 王邺凡 余武生 张寅生 张腾 高海峰 MUHAMMAD Atif Wazir | 2019 | 干旱区地理2019,42,2: | 2 |

Composite architectures with carbon fiber(CF) designed in 2D layout in conventional composites can alleviate their properties in thickness direction, but all attempts so far developed have achieved restrained success. Here,we have exposed an approach to the high strength composite challenge, without altering the 2D stack design on the basis of concept of fiber reinforced laminated composites that would provide enhanced mechanical and thermal properties along transverse direction. CF sheets allowed the buckling of adjoining plies in 2D MLCP. We fabricated 2D MLCP by stacking the alternative CF and HDPE layers under different loading conditions, which resulted in high strength composites.
