1Surface plasmon polariton at the interface of dielectric and graphene medium using Kerr effect显示文摘We theoretically investigate the control of surface plasmon polariton(SPP) generated at the interface of dielectric and graphene medium under Kerr nonlinearity. The controlled Kerr nonlinear signal of probe light beam in a dielectric medium is used to generate SPPs at the interface of dielectric and graphene medium. The positive, negative absorption, and dispersion properties of SPPs are modified and controlled by the control and Kerr fields. A large amplification(negative absorption) is noted for SPPs under the Kerr nonlinearity. The normal/anomalous slope of dispersion and propagation length of SPPs is modified and controlled with Kerr nonlinearity. This leads to significant variation in slow and fast SPP propagation. The controlled slow and fast SPP propagation may predict significant applications in nano-photonics, optical tweezers, photovoltaic devices, plasmonster, and sensing technology.Bakhtawar Muhammad Haneef B A Bacha H Khan M Atif 2018Chinese Physics B2018,27,11:3
2Surface plasmon polaritons induced reduced hacking显示文摘There is always need for secure transmission of information and simultaneously compact-size photonic circuits. This can be achieved if surface plasmon-polaritons(SPPs) are used as source of information, and the reduced hacking as the transmission phenomenon. In this article, an SPP-based reduced hacking scheme is presented at interface between atomic medium and metallic conductor. The SPP propagation is manipulated with conductivity of the metal. The delay or advance of the SPP is found to create nanosecond time gap which can be used for storing and sending the information safely. 3Birefringence via Doppler broadening and prevention of information hacking显示文摘We propose a new scheme for the coherent control of birefringent light pulses propagation in a four-level atomic medium. We modify the splitting of a light pulse by controlling the electric and magnetic responses. The Doppler broadening effect is also noted on the propagation of the birefringent pulses. The dispersions of the birefringence beams are oppositely manipulated for delay and advancement of time at a Doppler width of 10γ. A time gap is created between the birefringence beams, which protects from hacking of information. The time gap is then closed to restore the pulse into the original form by a reverse manipulation of the dispersion of the birefringence beams, i.e., introducing another medium whose transfer function is the complex conjugate of that of the original medium. 4Visual News Ticker Surveillance Approach from Arabic Broadcast Streams显示文摘The news ticker is a common feature of many different news networks that display headlines and other information.News ticker recognition applications are highly valuable in e-business and news surveillance for media regulatory authorities.In this paper,we focus on the automatic Arabic Ticker Recognition system for the Al-Ekhbariya news channel.The primary emphasis of this research is on ticker recognition methods and storage schemes.To that end,the research is aimed at character-wise explicit segmentation using a semantic segmentation technique and words identification method.The proposed learning architecture considers the grouping of homogeneousshaped classes.This incorporates linguistic taxonomy in a unified manner to address the imbalance in data distribution which leads to individual biases.Furthermore,experiments with a novel ArabicNews Ticker(Al-ENT)dataset that provides accurate character-level and character components-level labeling to evaluate the effectiveness of the suggested approach.The proposed method attains 96.5%,outperforming the current state-of-the-art technique by 8.5%.The study reveals that our strategy improves the performance of lowrepresentation correlated character classes.Moeen Tayyab Ayyaz Hussain Usama Mir M.Aqeel Iqbal Muhammad Haneef 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,3:0

7Space–time cloaks through birefringent Goos–H?nchen shifts显示文摘We report a theoretical demonstration for the creation of space–time holes based on birefringence of reflection,transmission, and the Goos–H?chen(GH) shifts from a chiral medium. We observed space–time holes in the reflection, transmission, and their corresponding GH-shifted beams. Two space–time holes are clearly detected in the regions of 0 < t ≤ 5τ_0 and-5 w ≤ y ≤ 5 w, as well as in the regions of-5τ_0≤ t ≤ 0 and-5 w ≤ y ≤ 5 w.These space–time holes hide objects and information contents from observers and hackers. The objects and information contents are completely undetectable, and thus events can be cloaked. 10Property-performance relationship of core-shell structured black TiO_(2) photocatalyst for environmental remediation显示文摘Understanding the relationship between the properties and performance of black titanium dioxide with core-shell structure(CSBT)for environmental remediation is crucial for improving its prospects in practical applications.In this study,CSBT was synthesized using a glycerol-assisted sol-gel approach.The effect of different water-to-glycerol ratios(W:G=1:0,9:1,2:1,and 1:1)on the semiconducting and physicochemical properties of CSBT was investigated.The effectiveness of CSBT in removing phenolic compounds(PHCs)from real agro-industrial wastewater was studied.The CSBT synthesized with a W:G ratio of 9:1 has optimized properties for enhanced removal of PHCs.It has a distinct coreshell structure and an appropriate amount of Ti3+cations(11.18%),which play a crucial role in enhancing the performance of CSBT.When exposed to visible light,the CSBT performed better:48.30%of PHCs were removed after 180 min,compared to only 21.95%for TiO_(2) without core-shell structure.The CSBT consumed only 45.5235 kWh/m^(3) of electrical energy per order of magnitude and cost$2.4127 per unit volume of treated agro-industrial wastewater.Under the conditions tested,the CSBT demonstrated exceptional stability and reusability.The CSBT showed promising results in the treatment of phenols-containing agro-industrial wastewater.Sajjad Haider Rab Nawaz Muzammil Anjum Tahir Haneef Vipin Kumar Oad Salah Uddinkhan Rawaiz Khan Muhammad Aqif 2023Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,9:0
11Surface Plasmon Polariton Fizeaus Dragging: via Relative Rotational Sensing显示文摘A new scheme focusing on the surface plasmon polariton interferometry between the metal and dielectric interface is introduced. The phase shift is measured by using surface plasmon polariton wave, generated at the interface of metallic and dielectric media. The phase shift of SPPs is modi?ed under phase and amplitude control of complex conductivity for interferometry. The control ?elds strongly in?uence the phase shift of SPPs for detection of molecular motion. The phase shift of SPPs is further modi?ed by Plasmon polariton Fizeaus dragging effect. We measure 20%–25%fractional change in delay and their phases shift between two left and right SPPs modes. 12A Periglacial Palaeoenvionment in the Upper Carboniferous-Lower Permian Tobra Formation of the Salt Range,Pakistan显示文摘The Upper Carboniferous—Lower Permian(Upper Pennsylvanian-Asselian) Tobra Formation is exposed in the Salt and Trans Indus ranges of Pakistan.The formation exhibits an alluvial plain(alluvial fan-piedmont alluvial plain) facies association in the Salt Range and Khisor Range.In addition,a stream flow facies association is restricted to the eastern Salt Range.The alluvial plain facies association is comprised of clast-supported massive conglomerate(Gmc),diamictite(Dm)facies,and massive sandstone(Sm) Hthofacies whereas the stream flow-dominated alluvial plain facies association includes fine-grained sandstone and siltstone(Fss),fining upwards pebbly sandstone(Sf),and massive mudstone(Fm) Hthofacies.The lack of glacial signatures(particularly glacial grooves and striatums) in the deposits in the Tobra Formation,which are,in contrast,present in their timeequivalent and palaeogeographically nearby strata of the Arabian peninsula,e.g.the AI Khlata Formation of Oman and Unayzah B member of the Saudi Arabia,suggests a pro-to periglacial,i.e.glaciofluvial depositional setting for the Tobra Formation.The sedimentology of the Tobra Formation attests that the Salt Range,Pakistan,occupied a palaeogeographic position just beyond the maximum glacial extent during Upper Pennsylvanian-Asselian time.Irfan U.JAN Shahid IQBAL Sarah J.DA VIES Jan A.ZALASIEWICZ Michael H.STEPHENSON Michael WAGREICH Muhammad HANEEF Muhammad HANIF Sajjad AHMAD 2017Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,3:0
13Detached Electron Spectra from H- near a Partially Reflecting Spherical Surface显示文摘The photodetachnent of a hydrogen negative ion (H-) near a partially reflecting surface with a spherical shape is investigated by a theoretical imaging method.Analytical expressions for the detached electron flux and total photodetachment cross section are derived.It is found that two parameters,i.e.curvature radius Tc and reflection parameter K,control the photodetachment spectra.Furthermore,these parameters can be used for the classification,identification and revelation of minor details like curvature of different types of surfaces.Muhammad Haneef Saleh Mohammad Jehan Akbar Suneela Arif Muhammad Zahir Humayun Khan 2012Chinese Physics Letters2012,29,7:0
