| 2 | A framework for a microscale flood damage assessment and visualization for a building using BIM-GIS integration显示文摘Flood damage assessment(FDA)is a key component of risk-based method for flood management.In the current FDA approaches,generally the uniqueness of the building is disregarded in the analysis.Therefore,they are unfit for detailed applications in which case-by-case analysis of building damage is an essential requirement.This limitation is compounded by the use of incomplete and often low-quality data inputs about the building and the assumptions and approximations made regarding the geometry and materials of its components.Such shortcomings may result in incomplete and uncertain outcomes.Considering the benefits and increasing use of three-dimensional(3D)urban modeling and Building Information Model in various urban management processes,in this paper,an integrated framework for utilization of detailed 3D building models for the assessment and 3D visualization of flood damage to building according to its distinct behavior against flood is presented.A proof-ofconcept demonstration of the framework in a case study underlined the feasibility of implementation of the framework,which can potentially benefit a variety of users and be used as a complementary approach to the current FDA methods for improving the resilience of the community toward floods and their adverse impacts. | Sam Amirebrahimi Abbas Rajabifard Priyan Mendis Tuan Ngo | 2016 | International Journal of Digital Earth2016，9，4： | 5 |

| 5 | An Approximation of the Customer Waiting Time for Online Restaurants Owning Delivery System显示文摘Online restaurants, which receive online orders and deliver food directly to the customer’s residence, are becoming increasingly popular. To be successful, online restaurants need to provide reliable and prompt deliveries. Careful design of the meal preparation and order delivery systems is needed to avoid excessive cust omer waiting time bet ween ordering and delivery. This paper considers the meal preparation and delivery processes simultaneously to approximate average customer waiting time for deliveries. The authors first discuss the system performance with one cook and unit-capacity delivery vehicles, using an M/G/1queue and a GI/G/1queue. Numerical experiments show that our approximation can adequately describe real waiting times. Then, series queues with multiple cooks and multi-capacity delivery vehicles, e.g., an M/G/n queue and a GI/Gn/1 queue, are examined. Results show that except for situations with a large meal preparation time and a small vehicle capacity, compared with the result of simulation, the approximation in this paper is acceptable with a deviation of less than 20%. | 7 | In vitro anti-hyaluronidase activity of Sri Lankan low grown orthodox orange pekoe grade black tea(Camellia sinensis L.)显示文摘Objective:To access the anti-hyaluronidase activity of Sri Lankan low grown orthodox orange pekoe(OP) grade black tea with a view to develop an anti-aging skin formulation.Methods:Five concentrations(0.125,0.250,0.500,1.000 and 2.000 mg/mL) of black tea brew(BTB) were made using a freeze dried sample of Sri Lankan low grown orthodox OP grade black tea which was prepared according to international organization for standardization specification.Epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG) was used as the reference agent(concentrations tested:0.012,0.025,0.050,0.100 and 0.200 mg/mL).Anti-hyaluronidase activity of BTB and EGCG in vitro were ascertained spectrometrically using hyaluronic acid(from rooster comb)and bovine testicular hyaluronidase.Results:The results revealed that BTB had moderate[IC_(50)=(1.09±0.12) mg/mL]and dose dependent(r^2=0.94) anti-hyaluronidase activity.EGCG also exhibited dose dependent(r^2=0.93,P<0.05) anti-hyaluronidase activity which was superior[IC_(50)=(0.09±0.00) mg/mL]to BTB.Conclusions:Sri Lankan low grown orthodox OP gradc black tca has promising antihyaluronidase activity in vitro and has the potential to be used as an anti-aging cosmaceutical.In addition,it may prove useful as a beverage in the management of allergy,some joint diseases and cnvenomation. | Wanigasekera Daya Ratnasooriya Walimuni Prabhashini Kaushalya Mendis Abeysekera Chatura Tissa Dayendra Ratnasooriya | 2014 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2014，4，12： | 2 |
