| 8 | Titanium nanoparticles attenuates arsenic toxicity by up-regulating expressions of defensive genes in Vigna radiata L显示文摘Arsenic(As)-toxicity is recognized as one of the major environmental problems,affecting productivity of crops worldwide,thereby threatening sustainable agriculture and food security.Progression in nanotechnology and its impacts have brought up concerns about the application of engineered nanoparticles(NPs)in various sectors of the economy,including the field of agronomy.Among various NPs,there has been a rising amount of interest regarding the effects of titanium NPs(TiNPs)on plants growth and development,and their fate of abiotic stress tolerance.Hence,the present study was aimed to assess the ameliorative potentialities of chemically and biologically/green synthesized TiNPs to alleviate As-induced toxic responses in Vigna radiata L.The results revealed that exposure to As hindered the growth indices(radicle length and biomass)and membrane integrity,while were improved with the application of chemical and green synthesized TiNPs.In addition,treatment of As provoked the accretion of reactive oxygen species(superoxide and hydrogen peroxide)and malondialdehyde(a lipid per oxidized product),but were diminished by the supplementation of chemical and green manufactured TiNPs.The experimental data also signified that exogenous application of chemical and green synthesized TiNPs conferred tolerance to As-induced oxidative injuries via perking-up the expressions of antioxidant genes and enzyme systems viz;superoxide dismutase and catalase.Therefore,the present study inferred that chemically and green synthesized TiNPs,particularly green manufactured,effectively mitigated the adverse impacts of As by augmenting antioxidant machinery,thereby proving its potentiality in the alleviation of As-toxicity,at least in Vignaradiata L. | Priya Katiyar Bhumika Yadu Jyoti Korram Manmohan L.Satnami Meetul Kumar S.Keshavkant | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,6: | 1 |
| 9 | Andrographolide inhibits chikungunya virus infection by up-regulating host innate immune pathways显示文摘Objective: To investigate the therapeutic efficacy of andrographolide, a plant derived compound, against chikungunya virus(CHIKV) infection. Methods: Using flow cytometry and immunoblotting assay, in vitro viral protein expression was studied in THP-1 cells line. In Balb/c mouse neonates, viral RNA copy number was determined by real time PCR. Results:The results showed reduced CHIKV protein expression on andrographolide treatment in CHIKV-infected human peripheral blood mononuclear cells, Vero cells and THP-I cell line.In vivo, andrographolide treatment to CHIKV-infected neonates reduced viral RNA copy number. Further. andrographolide also increased cytotoxic T lymphocytes both in vitro and in vivo. Andrographolide also activated host innate immune pathways, viz., protein kinase R.phosphorylated eukaryotic initiation factor 2 α, retinoic acid inducible gene-Ⅰ and interferon regulatory factor 3/7, thereby increasing IFN-a secretion. CHIKV-induced nuclear factor κlight chain enhancer of activated B cells and tumor necrosis factor-a was also reduced on andrographolide treatment. | 10 | Intrusion detection systems for wireless sensor networks using computational intelligence techniques显示文摘Network Intrusion Detection Systems(NIDS)are utilized to find hostile network connections.This can be accom-plished by looking at traffic network activity,but it takes a lot of work.The NIDS heavily utilizes approaches for data extraction and machine learning to find anomalies.In terms of feature selection,NIDS is far more effective.This is accurate since anomaly identification uses a number of time-consuming features.Because of this,the feature selec-tion method influences how long it takes to analyze movement patterns and how clear it is.The goal of the study is to provide NIDS with an attribute selection approach.PSO has been used for that purpose.The Network Intrusion Detection System that is being developed will be able to identify any malicious activity in the network or any unusual behavior in the network,allowing the identification of the illegal activities and safeguarding the enormous amounts of confidential data belonging to the customers from being compromised.In the research,datasets were produced utilising both a network infrastructure and a simulation network.Wireshark is used to gather data packets whereas Cisco Packet Tracer is used to build a network in a simulated environment.Additionally,a physical network consisting of six node MCUs connected to a laptop and a mobile hotspot,has been built and communication packets are being recorded using the Wireshark tool.To train several machine learning models,all the datasets that were gatheredcre-ated datasets from our own studies as well as some common datasets like NSDL and UNSW acquired from Kaggle-were employed.Additionally,PsO,which is an optimization method,has been used with these ML algorithms for feature selection.In the research,KNN,decision trees,and ANN have all been combined with PSO for a specific case study.And it was found demonstrated the classification methods PSO+ANN outperformed PSO+KNN and PSO+DT in this case study. | Vaishnavi Sivagaminathan Manmohan Sharma Santosh Kumar Henge | 2024 | Cybersecurity2024,7,2: | 0 |
