1Recognition on the forming-vanishing process and underlying mechanisms of the hypoxia off the Yangtze River estuary显示文摘On the basis of compiled multidisciplinary historical data in 2006–2007 and incorporation of relevant simulation results and remote sensing data, we performed an in-depth study of the generation and dissipation process of the hypoxic zone and its distribution morphology and structure off the Yangtze River estuary. Based on the hydrological circulation dynamics, reproduction of phytoplankton(leading to the decomposition of organic matter), and other factors, we comprehensively and systematically investigated the generation and dissipation of the hypoxic zone and underlying mechanisms for the seasonal variation in its position, explored the multi-factorial synergistic reactions during the generation and dissipation process of the hypoxic zone, and revealed the controlled mechanism for the morphology and structure of the hypoxic zone's distribution. Our studies indicate that in the winter and spring seasons, the hydrological environment off the Yangtze River estuary provides a water body with relatively low contents of dissolved oxygen(DO), which is the background for the formation of a hypoxic zone. After entering into the summer season, the hypoxic zone gradually develops towards the north and becomes mature. Because of the impact of the terrain, local decomposition of organic matter, and upwelling of the Kuroshio subsurface water in July–August, the hypoxic zone off the Yangtze River estuary exhibits the characteristics of discontinuous distribution in space and has a south and north 'dual-core' structure in the inner continental shelf. In addition, there is a hypoxic core in the eastern outer continental shelf. The degrees of hypoxia vary for different areas; they are strongest overall in the north, next strongest in the south; they are weakest on the outer continental shelf. In summer, the hypoxic zone in the north is related to the northward differentiation of the southern hypoxic zone and results from local development and intensification. In August, the hypoxic zone in the north reaches its peak, and after September, it rapidly retreats southward and disappears because of weakening stratification. In the fall, there is hypoxic zone along the coast of Zhejiang in the south, and there is also a low-DO area to the southwest of Jeju Island, with both zones disappearing rapidly. In addition, the change of dynamic environment also causes the low-DO area of the outer continental shelf to move outward in the fall. The variation in the intensity of the stratification and its cumulative effects as a barrier of vertical DO transportation over long periods of time have a significant impact on the degree of hypoxia in the hypoxic zone. In addition, the seasonal variations in the size of the stratified region, intensity of each current system/water mass, upwelling, front, and high-value area of phytoplankton biomass jointly restrict the extension of the hypoxic zone in the inner continental shelf and latitudinal(south-north direction) movement of its location off the Yangtze River estuary. The combined effect of dynamic factors, such as that of the Kuroshio subsurface water, causes a low-DO core in the outer continental shelf. The bottom cold water to the north of the East China Sea is the dynamic basis for the formation of the low-DO area to the southwest of Jeju Island during the fall season. The special seabed topography and mud area distribution off the Yangtze River estuary have a certain degree of influence on the development of the hypoxic zone. 4免疫磁珠阴性法富集恶性胸腔积液中肿瘤细胞方法的建立显示文摘目的建立免疫磁珠阴性法富集恶性胸腔积液肿瘤细胞的方法,探讨该方法富集胸腔积液中肿瘤细胞的敏感性、特异性及其应用价值。方法将5、10、20、50、100个4,6-二眯-2苯吲哚(DAPI)染色的肺腺癌细胞系A549细胞分别加入20ml心力衰竭患者的胸腔积液中[约含(1~10)×10^6个细胞],通过免疫磁珠阴性法富集癌细胞,荧光显微镜检测体外加入癌细胞的回收率。收集2010年7月至2011年7月江苏省苏北人民医院呼吸科53例患者的胸腔积液,其中包括经活检病理证实的36例肿瘤患者的胸腔积液标本,男25例,女11例,年龄40~78岁,平均(63±9)岁;17例非肿瘤患者的胸腔积液标本,男8例,女9例,年龄25~81岁,平均(53±18)岁。应用免疫磁珠阴性法及密度梯度离心法富集53份胸腔积液标本并涂片,然后分别应用瑞姬染色、免疫荧光染色及荧光原位杂交(FISH)法进行肿瘤细胞鉴定。结果分别加人5、10、20、50、100个经DAPI染色的肺腺癌A549细胞的回收率分别为75%、78%、82%、85%和88%,平均回收率为81.6%。应用免疫磁珠阴性法联合瑞姬染色检测恶性胸腔积液中肿瘤细胞的阳性率为81%(29/36),免疫磁珠阴性法联合免疫荧光染色检出表达细胞角蛋白18(CK18)和DAPI阳性、白细胞共同抗原(CD45)阴性细胞的阳性率均为100%,免疫磁珠阴性法联合荧光原位杂交(FISH)检出肿瘤细胞的阳性率为86%(31/36);密度梯度离心法联合瑞姬染色检出肿瘤细胞的阳性率为61%(22/36)。免疫磁珠阴性法联合瑞姬染色或FISH与密度梯度离心法联合瑞姬染色比较,差异均有统计学意义(X^2=4.00,P=0.039;X^2=5.818,P=0.012)。良性胸腔积液患者应用免疫磁珠阴性法联合瑞姬染色或FISH、密度梯度离心法联合瑞姬染色均未检出肿瘤细胞,而应用免疫磁珠阴性法联合免疫荧光染色检卅CK18及DAPI阳性、CD45,阴性细胞的阳性率为100%。结论应用免疫磁珠阴性法富集胸腔积液肿瘤细胞的方法可行,且该方法联合瑞姬染色或FISH对恶性胸腔积液的诊断具有较高的敏感性和特异性,对于良恶性胸腔积液的鉴别具有重要意义;而联合CK18、DAPI、CD45,标记的免疫荧光染色不能有效鉴别胸腔积液中的肿瘤细胞和间皮细胞,还需寻找更特异的肿瘤细胞抗体标志物。杨俊俊 徐兴祥 闵凌峰 LINPing 钱桂生 2012中华结核和呼吸杂志2012,35,9:7
5Nutrient composition and distributions in coastal waters impacted by the Changjiang plume显示文摘Four cruises were conducted during 2002-2003 in the Changjiang Estuary and adjacent coastal areas. The data presented show a clear coast to open sea gradient in nutrients related to the river inputs. Maximum values of chlorophyll a were typically observed at intermediate salinities at surface water and coincided with non-conservative decreases in nutrients along the salinity gradient,indicating that removal of nutrients was related to phytoplankton uptake. The seasonal variations of nutrient concentrations were just opposite to those of chlorophyll a,indicating that the seasonal variations of nutrients were mainly controlled by phytoplankton uptake,whereas riverine inputs merely weakened or balanced its extent. During the estuarine mixing,phosphate demonstrated some remobilization during all the four cruises; whereas both conservative and non-conservative behaviors for dissolved inorganic nitrogen and silicate were observed in the study area,indicating that both biotic and abiotic events may affect their behaviors during the estuarine mixing. Under the influence of freshwater inputs with high value of ratio of nitrogen to phosphorus,the estuarine and coastal waters impacted by the Changjiang plume were high (>30) in ratio of nitrogen to phosphorus,but rates of primary production were apparently not constrained by any kind of nutrient elements. 7Stereotactic body radiation therapy versus radiofrequency ablation in patients with small hepatocellular carcinoma:a systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:This study aimed to compare the clinical outcomes and toxicity between small hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)patients treated with stereotactic body radiation therapy(SBRT)and those treated with radiofrequency ablation(RFA).Methods:We searched databases for relevant clinical studies.The primary outcomes of interest were overall survival(OS)at 1 and 2 years,freedom from local progression(FFLP)rate at 2 years,and complications.Results:Five cohorts from 5 retrospective studies and 4,814 patients with HCC were included.Pooled OS at 2 years was significantly lower for SBRT than for RFA[odds ratio(OR):0.63;95%confidence interval(CI):0.51-0.79;P<0.0001],but the pooled FFLP rate at 2 years was higher for SBRT than for RFA(OR:1.66;95%CI:1.05-2.61;P=0.03).In addition,there was no significant difference in the local and liver toxicities of the two treatments.The contradictory conclusion between the OS and FFLP outcome may be attributed to the difference in radiological dose and location,but there were no uniform criteria to illustrate the radiological dose and location in the included studies.Conclusions:SBRT had a higher local control ratio but poorer prognosis than RFA in patients with small HCC.The local toxicity was comparable in both treatments.Further trials should be designed with uniform standards for SBRT and RFA treatments.Jiawei Hong Linping Cao Haiyang Xie Yuanxing Liu Jun Yu Shusen Zheng 2021Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2021,10,5:5
8Benzene containing polyhydroxyalkanoates homo-and copolymers synthesized by genome edited Pseudomonas entomophila显示文摘Microbial synthesis of functional polymers has become increasingly important for industrial biotechnology.For the first time,it became possible to synthesize controllable composition of poly(3-hydroxyalkanoate)(P3HA)consisting of 3-hydroxydodecanoate(3HDD)and phenyl group on the side-chain when chromosome of Pseudomonas entomophila was edited to weaken itsβ-oxidation.Cultured in the presence of 5-phenylvaleric acid(PVA),the edited P.entomophila produced only homopolymer poly(3-hydroxy-5-phenylvalerate)or P(3HPhV).While copolyesters P(3HPhV-co-3HDD)of 3-hydroxy-5-phenylvalerate(3HPhV)and 3-hydroxydodecanoate(3HDD)were synthesized when the strain was grown on mixtures of PVA and dodecanoic acid(DDA).Compositions of 3HPhV in P(3HPhV-co-3HDD)were controllable ranging from 3%to 32%depending on DDDA/PVA ratios.Nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)spectra clearly indicated that the polymers were homopolymer of P(3HPhV)and random copolymers of 3HPhV and 3HDD.Their mechanical and thermal properties varied dramatically depending on the monomer ratios.Our results demonstrated the possibility to produce tailor-made,novel functional PHA using the chromosome edited P.entomophila.SHEN Rui CAI LongWei MENG DeChuan WU LinPing GUO Kai DONG GuoXing LIU Lei CHEN JinChun WU Qiong CHEN GuoQiang 2014Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,1:4
9Physical-biogeochemical interactions and potential effects on phytoplankton and Ulva prolifera in the coastal waters off Qingdao(Yellow Sea, China)显示文摘In recent years, the spectacular massive green tide of Ulva prolifera has become a recurrent phenomenon appearing every summer in the coastal waters off Qingdao(Yellow Sea, China), attracting the attention of scientists and local government. Based on multidisciplinary data collected during summer and winter, this study focuses on the hydrological characteristics and regional biogeochemical processes in coastal waters off Qingdao.The results show that the boundary of the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass(YSCWM) can reach the Qingdao coastal region in summer and is locally raised to the upper layers to form coastal upwelling beyond tidal mixing and favorable wind. The regional summer upwelling off the Qingdao coast effectively enriches the nutrient concentrations in the upper water column and thus promotes growth of phytoplankton but reduces the dissolved oxygen(DO) concentration and pH value in the bottom. The regional summer upwelling off Qingdao coast may facilitate the growth and regional blooming of the U. prolifera that migrate to this region with the southerly wind.Additionally, the effects of the front on the aggregation of U. prolifera may be significant. In winter, the Yellow Sea Warm Current(YSWC) extends and spreads along the offshore region off the Subei Shoal towards the Qingdao coastal sea. This tongue-shaped warm water meets the cold coastal water off Qingdao, which leads to the formation of a physical front. As a consequence, remarkable fronts of nutrient and chlorophyll a(Chl a) also form between the shoreward warm water and the cold coastal water. 10A Filter-Based Pattern Search Method for Unconstrained Optimization显示文摘We discuss a filter-based pattern search method for unconstrained optimization in this paper. For the purpose to broaden the search range we use both filter technique and frames, which are fragments of grids, to provide a new criterion of iterate acceptance. The convergence can be ensured under some conditions. 11Synthesis and light-emitting properties of 2-(N-phenyl-α-naphthylamino) and 2-dimesitylboron-7-(N-phenyl-α-naphthylamino)-9,9-diethylfluorene显示文摘A fluorescent organic triarylamine with a symmetric structure, 2,7-bis(N-α-naphthyl-phenylamino)-9,9- diethylfluorene (NPAEF) was synthesized using two methods, modified Ullmann coupling and modified palladium-catalyzed amination. An activated copper and a combination of Pd(OAc)2/P(t-Bu)3 and Pd(dba)2/P(t-Bu)3 were selected as catalysts to improve yields of reactions. These synthetic procedures were also successfully applied to an asymmetric 2-dimesitylboron-7-(N-phenyl-α-naphthylamino)-9,9-diethylfluorene (BNPEF). Photoluminescent emission peaks in solid film and in diluted solution of NPAEF were both observed at 461 nm, while the main emission peaks of BNPEF appeared at 422 nm in hexane, and at 480 nm in methanol. The double emission peaks of BNPEF in hexane reflected fine structure in the vibrational state. With an increasing polarity of solvent, the main PL emission peaks were red-shifted and vibrational fine structure disappeared. Additionally, energy levels of NPAEF were investigated and an electroluminescence (EL) device of ITO/PVK:NPAEF/Al was fabricated, which showed a turn-on voltage of 9 V and peaked at 462 nm. 13DynamicMechanical and Chemorheology Analysis for the Blended Epoxy System with Polyurethane Modified Resin显示文摘As the important matrix material,epoxy resin has been widely used in the composites for various fields.On account of the poor toughness of epoxy resin limiting their suitability for advanced applications,considerable interests have been conducted to modify the epoxy resin to meet the engineering requirements.In this study,the bio-based polyurethane(PU)modified resin was adopted to modify the pure bisphenol-A epoxy by blending method with various proportions.Aiming to illuminate the curing behavior,mechanical and thermal properties,the blended epoxy systems were characterized by viscosity-time analysis,dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA)at different frequencies and temperatures,mechanical tensile test,thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy.The results indicated that the introduction of PU modified epoxy was found to significantly inhibit the viscosity growth rates especially when the content of PU modified epoxy resin is higher than 60%.Notwithstanding the dynamic modulus and T_(g)reduced with the increment of PU modified epoxy,remarkable increment on the elongation at break was found and the flexibility was greatly promoted with the introduction of PU modified epoxy.The proportion of PU modified epoxy in the blends should be put balance considerations to obtain optimal mechanical properties.TGA results and FTIR spectrum demonstrated that the addition of PU modified epoxy did not change the thermal decomposition mechanism and chemical reaction mechanism,but the addition of PU modified epoxy inhibits the curing reaction of epoxy resin by measured and calculated the damping temperature domainT from 35.7℃ to 48.9℃.Xue Xin Yu Rong Linping Su Zhengmei Qiu Chenjun Yang Ming Liang Ping Ji Guoqiang Zhong Zhanyong Yao 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,4:2
14Cation-vacancy induced Li+ intercalation pseudocapacitance at atomically thin heterointerface for high capacity and high power lithium-ion batteries显示文摘It is challenging to create cation vacancies in electrode materials for enhancing the performance of rechargeable lithium ion batteries (LIBs). Herein, we utilized a strong alkaline etching method to successfully create Co vacancies at the interface of atomically thin Co_(3−x)O_(4)/graphene@CNT heterostructure for high-energy/power lithium storage. The creation of Co-vacancies in the sample was confirmed by high-resolution scanning transmission electron microscope (HRSTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and electron energy loss near-edge structures (ELNES). The obtained Co_(3−x)O_(4)/graphene@CNT delivers an ultra-high capacity of 1688.2 mAh g^(−1) at 0.2 C, excellent rate capability of 83.7% capacity retention at 1 C, and an ultralong life up to 1500 cycles with a reversible capacity of 1066.3 mAh g^(−1). Reaction kinetic study suggests a significant contribution from pseudocapacitive storage induced by the Co-vacancies at the Co_(3−x)O_(4)/graphene@CNT interface. 15Effects of initial particle gradation and rock content on crushing behaviors of weathered phyllite fills——A case of eastern Ankang section of Shiyan—Tianshui highway,China显示文摘The objective of this paper is to investigate the effects of initial particle gradation and rock content on the crushing behavior(i.e.grain size before and after crushing) of weathered phyllite fills.Compaction tests were conducted on weathered phyllite fills with rock contents of 35%,45%,55%,65% and 75%(by weight).First,the particle size distributions(PSDs) were observed before and after compaction,and then the particle breakage of weathered phyllite fills was analyzed by fractal dimension.Relative fractal dimension was proposed to evaluate the effects of initial rock content and initial gradation on the particle breakage.It was found that the fractal dimension method can well characterize the crushing behaviors of the weathered phyllite fills.The finer the fills were,the more they were compacted.That is,after the first compaction,the relative fractal dimension of the weathered phyllite fills increased as the rock content increased,reaching the values of 0.013,0.016,0.024,0.037 and 0.08,respectively.After the second compaction,these relative fractal dimension values,dominated by the initial particle gradation,became 0.059,0.072,0.052,0.095 and 0.118,respectively.In conclusion,the weathered phyllite fills with 55% rock content exhibited the least breakage and were most suitable for filling the subgrade.Findings in this paper will provide significant guidance for the construction of weathered phyllite filling subgrade in future projects.Feifei Liu Xuesong Mao Yushuo Fan Linping Wu Wei Victor Liu 2020Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2020,12,2:2
16Real-time observation of vortex mode switching in a narrow-linewidth mode-locked fiber laser显示文摘Temporal and spatial resonant modes are always possessed in physical systems with energy oscillation.In ultrafast fiber lasers,enormous progress has been made toward controlling the interactions of many longitudinal modes,which results in temporally mode-locked pulses.Recently,optical vortex beams have been extensively investigated due to their quantized orbital angular momentum,spatially donut-like intensity,and spiral phase front.In this paper,we have demonstrated the first to our knowledge observation of optical vortex mode switching and their corresponding pulse evolution dynamics in a narrow-linewidth mode-locked fiber laser.The spatial mode switching is achieved by incorporating a dual-resonant acousto-optic mode converter in the vortex mode-locked fiber laser.The vortex mode-switching dynamics have four stages,including quiet-down,relaxation oscillation,quasi mode-locking,and energy recovery prior to the stable mode-locking of another vortex mode.The evolution dynamics of the wavelength shifting during the switching process are observed via the time-stretch dispersion Fourier transform method.The spatial mode competition through optical nonlinearity induces energy fluctuation on the time scale of ultrashort pulses,which plays an essential role in the mode-switching dynamic process.The results have great implications in the study of spatial mode-locking mechanisms and ultrashort laser applications.Jiafeng Lu Fan Shi Linghao Meng Longkun Zhang Linping Teng Zhengqian Luo Peiguang Yan Fufei Pang Xianglong Zeng 2020Photonics Research2020,8,7:2
17Is 1.28 parts per million biomarker specific for neural progenitor cells?显示文摘Nuclear magnetic resonance-visible mobile lipid,at 1.28 parts per million(ppm),is thought to be due to mobile lipid droplets formed in cells and has been considered unique for neural progenitor cells.However,this idea remains controversial.The present study examined the 1.28 ppm biomarker in other stem cells and non-stem cells,and explored the relationship between 1.28 ppm biomarker and mobile lipid droplets.1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy of EC109 cells,mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) and adipogenic cells differentiated from MSCs was performed.Results show that 1.28 ppm biomarker was observed in human MSCs,but was absent from EC109 cells.Following adipogenic differentiation induced for 2 weeks,the 1.28 ppm biomarker climbed remarkably,with mobile lipid droplet generation,suggesting that the 1.28 ppm biomarker is not specific for neural progenitor cells because it is also observed in MSCs and adipogenic-induced differentiated cells.Moreover,it is possible to monitor MSCs differentiation following cell transplantation,using 1.28 ppm biomarker changes.Zhifeng Xu Chongyang Shen Haiqiang Zhu Yaowen Chen Linping Wu Peng Huang YeyuXiao Zhiwei Shen Li Pang Xiuqin Guo Lian Ma Renhua Wu 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,15:2
18Expression Profiles of SIRT1 and APP Genes in Human Neuroblastoma SK-N-SH Cells Treated with Two Epigenetic Agents显示文摘In our previous studies, significant hypermethylation of the sirtuin 1(SIRT1) gene and demethylation of the b-amyloid precursor protein(APP) gene were found in patients with Alzheimer's disease(AD) compared with the normal population. Moreover, the expression of SIRT1 was significantly decreased while that of APP was increased in AD patients. These results indicated a correlation of DNA methylation with gene expression levels in AD patients. To further investigate the epigenetic mechanism of gene modulation in AD, we used two epigenetic drugs, the DNA methylation inhibitor 5-aza-20-deoxycytidine(DAC) and the histone deacetylase inhibitor trichostatin A(TSA), to treat human neuroblastoma SK-N-SH cells in the presence of amyloid b-peptide Ab25–35(Ab25–35). We found that DAC and TSA had different effects on the expression trends of SIRT1 and APP in the cell model of amyloid toxicity. Although other genes, such as microtubule-associated protein s, presenilin 1, presenilin 2, and apolipoprotein E, were up-regulated after Ab25–35treatment, no significant differences were found after DAC and/or TSA treatment.
