Pharmacological Activation of RXR-a Promotes Hematoma Absorption via a PPAR-y-dependent Pathway After Intracerebral Hemorrhage显示文摘Endogenously eliminating the hematoma is a favorable strategy in addressing intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH).This study sought to determine the role of retinoid X receptor-ot(RXR-a)in the context of hematoma absorption after ICH.Our results showed that pharmacologically activating RXR-a with bexarotene significantly accelerated hematoma clearance and alleviated neurological dysfunction after ICH.RXR-ot was expressed in microglia/macro-phages,neurons,and astrocytes.Mechanistically, bexarotene promoted the nuclear translocation of RXR-a and PPAR-y,as well as reducing neuroinflammation by modulating microglia/macrophage reprograming from the Ml into the M2 phenotype.Furthermore, all the beneficial effects of RXR-a in ICH were reversed by the PPAR-y inhibitor GW9662.In conclusion, the pharmacological activation of RXR-a confers robust neuroprotection against ICH by accelerating hematoma clearance and repolarizing microglia/macrophages towards the M2 phenotype through PPAR-y-related mechanisms. Our data support the notion that RXR-ot might be a promising therapeutic target for ICH. | Chaoran Xu Huaijun Chen Shengjun Zhou Chenjun Sun Xiaolong Xia Yucong Peng Jianfeng Zhuang Xiongjie Fu Hanhai Zeng Hang Zhou Yang Cao Qian Yu Yin Li Libin Hu Guoyang Zhou Feng Yan Gao Chen Jianru Li | 2021 | Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,10: | 4
DynamicMechanical and Chemorheology Analysis for the Blended Epoxy System with Polyurethane Modified Resin显示文摘As the important matrix material, epoxy resin has been widely used in the composites for various fields. On account of the poor toughness of epoxy resin limiting their suitability for advanced applications, considerable interests have been conducted to modify the epoxy resin to meet the engineering requirements. In this study, the bio-based polyurethane(PU)modified resin was adopted to modify the pure bisphenol-A epoxy by blending method with various proportions.Aiming to illuminate the curing behavior, mechanical and thermal properties, the blended epoxy systems were characterized by viscosity-time analysis, dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA)at different frequencies and temperatures, mechanical tensile test, thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy.The results indicated that the introduction of PU modified epoxy was found to significantly inhibit the viscosity growth rates especially when the content of PU modified epoxy resin is higher than 60%.Notwithstanding the dynamic modulus and T_(g)reduced with the increment of PU modified epoxy, remarkable increment on the elongation at break was found and the flexibility was greatly promoted with the introduction of PU modified epoxy. The proportion of PU modified epoxy in the blends should be put balance considerations to obtain optimal mechanical properties.TGA results and FTIR spectrum demonstrated that the addition of PU modified epoxy did not change the thermal decomposition mechanism and chemical reaction mechanism, but the addition of PU modified epoxy inhibits the curing reaction of epoxy resin by measured and calculated the damping temperature domainT from 35.7℃ to 48.9℃. | Xue Xin Yu Rong Linping Su Zhengmei Qiu Chenjun Yang Ming Liang Ping Ji Guoqiang Zhong Zhanyong Yao | 2022 | Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,4: | 2
Observations and computations of narrow Kelvin ship wakes显示文摘Computations of far-field ship waves, based on linear potential flow theory and the Hogner approximation, are reported for monohull ships and catamarans.Specifically,far-field ship waves are computed for six monohull ships at four Froude numbers F≡V/√gL=0.58,0.68,0.86,1.58 and for six catamarans with nondimensional hull spacing s≡S/L=0.25 at two Froude numbers F s≡V/√gS=1 and 2.5.Here,g is the gravitational acceleration,V and L denote the ship speed and length, and S is the separation distance between the twin hulls of a catamaran. The computations show that, although the amplitudes of the waves created by a ship are strongly influenced by the shape of the ship hull,as well known, the ray angles where the largest waves are found are only weakly influenced by the hull shape and indeed are mostly a kinematic feature of the flow around a ship hull.An important practical consequence of this flow feature is that the apparent wake angle of general monohull ships or catamarans(with arbitrarily-shaped hulls)can be estimated, without computations,by means of simple analytical relations;these relations, obtained elsewhere via parametric computations, are given here. Moreover, the influence of the two parameters F s and s that largely determine the ray angles of the dominant waves created by a catamaran is illustrated via computations for three catamarans with hull spacings s=0.2,0.35,0.5 at four Froude numbers F s=1,1.5,2,2.5.These computations confirm that the largest waves created by wide and/or fast catamarans are found at ray angles that only depend on F s(i.e.that do not depend on the hull spacing s)in agreement with an elementary analysis of lateral interference between the dominant waves created by the bows(or sterns)of the twin hulls of a catamaran. The dominant-waves ray angles predicted by the theory of wave-interference effects for monohull ships and catamarans are also compared with the observations of narrow Kelvin ship wakes reported by Rabaud and Moisy, and found to be consistent with these observations. | Francis Noblesse Chenliang Zhang Jiayi He Yi Zhu Chenjun Yang Wei Li | 2016 | Journal of Ocean Engineering and Science2016,1,1: | 1

Control Design and Implementation of a Spiral Spring Energy Storage System Connected to a Grid via PMSG显示文摘For an innovative spiral spring energy storage system, the permanent magnet synchronous generator(PMSG)is utilized as the energy conversion device due to its simple structure, low weight and high torque.During power generation, the output torque and moment of inertia of the spiral spring are changing continuously and simultaneously and the parameters of the PMSG show uncertainties.Furthermore, the DC link voltage of the converter should be stable and the power injected into the grid needs to be controlled.First, the change features of the external power source and the uncertainties of the generator’s internal parameters are expressed as the comprehensive disturbances, which are introduced into the dynamic model of the PMSG and also modify the dynamic model. Then, the high gain observers are utilized to estimate the comprehensive disturbances, and an improved robust backstepping control scheme integrating L2 gain and high gain observers is proposed.Secondly, the gridside inverter controller for the DC voltage loop and reactive power loop is designed based on the backstepping theory. Finally, hardware implementation is fulfilled to verify the presented algorithm. The results show that high gain observers are able to accurately estimate the external and internal interferences;the proposed control scheme can effectively suppress the external and internal interferences and guarantees output current, operating speed of the PMSG and output reactive power to correctly track respective references, and effectively stabilize the DC link voltage. | Yang Yu Zengqiang Mi Xudong Guo Xitong Niu Xiaojiang Zheng Chenjun Sun | 2018 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2018,4,3: | 1
Research on the long-time operation performance of composite insulator shed hydrophobicity under hydrothermal conditions显示文摘Due to excellent anti-pollution flashover performance,a composite insulator has become the most frequently and widely used insulator product in transmission lines.Sheath hydrophobicity is the core factor that determines the anti-pollution flashover performance of the composite insulator. To study the change rule of insulator sheath hydrophobicity under the long-term operation condition, more than 390 samples produced by the same manufacturer that had operated for 3–22 years were extracted from the adjacent lines to eliminate the impact of the running environment and manufacturer formula. To study the reasons for hydrophobic fluctuations, surface energy tests and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy tests were conducted on the superficial layer materials based on a two-droplet method. The change rule of the material physical and chemical properties with operation time was obtained.Next, the relationship between the surface microstructure of the material and operation time was determined by laser scanning confocal microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Finally, based on the analysis results of surface energy and surface topography, the physical model of shed material hydrophobic variation in the operation process was obtained. | Li Cheng Shanfeng Shao Sida Zhang Ruijin Liao Lijun Yang Chenjun Guo | 2018 | High Voltage2018,3,1: | 1

Carboxyl-functionalized Nanocellulose Reinforced Nanocomposite Proton Exchange Membrane显示文摘Nanocellulose(NCC) was prepared through the acid hydrolysis of microcellulose(MCC) and was reacted with maleic anliydride to obtain carboxyl-functionized nanocellulose(MA-NCCs). The presence of .OH and .SO3H on the surface of rod-like MA-NCC was confirmed by Fourier transfonn infrared spectrometry(FTIR). Sulfonated poly(aryl ether ether ketone ketone)(Ph-SPEEKK) was synthesized with bis(4-fluorophenyl-methanone) and 2-phenylhydroquinone as monomer. MA-NCC/Ph-SPEEKK nanocomposite membranes with different MA-NCCs content were prepared, and their properties were characterized. Compared with Ph-SPEEKK, MA-NCC/Ph-SPEEKK nanocomposite membrane showed better mechanical and thermal properties and higher proton conductivity. The proton conductivity of the composite membrane with 4%(mass fraction) MA-NCCs under 80℃ was 0.095 S/cm. And its tensile strength reached 30.3 MPa, which was 21.2% higher than that of Ph-SPEEKK pure polymer membrane. | YANG Xue WEI Yingcong CHU Xuefeng ZHAO Qi YAN Wenling DONG Chenjun LIU Baijun SUN Zhaoyan HU Wei ZHANG Niaona | 2019 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2019,35,4: | 0
Decoding the Cellular Trafficking of Prion-like Proteins in Neurodegenerative Diseases显示文摘The accumulation and spread of prion-like proteins is a key feature of neurodegenerative diseases(NDs)such as Alzheimer’s disease,Parkinson's disease,or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. In a process known as‘seeding’,prion-like proteins such as amyloid beta,microtubule-associated protein tau,α-synuclein,silence superoxide dismutase 1,or transactive response DNA-binding protein 43 kDa,propagate their misfolded conformations by transforming their respective soluble monomers into fibrils.Cellular and molecular evidence of prion-like propagation in NDs,the clinical relevance of their‘seeding’capacities, and their levels of contribution towards disease progression have been intensively studied over recent years. This review unpacks the cyclic prion-like propagation in cells including factors of aggregate internalization,endo-lysosomal leaking, aggregate degradation, and secretion.Debates on the importance of the role of prion-like protein aggregates in NDs,whether causal or consequent, are also discussed.Applications lead to a greater understanding of ND pathogenesis and increased potential for therapeutic strategies. | Chenjun Hu Yiqun Yan Yanhong Jin Jun Yang Yongmei Xi Zhen Zhong | 2024 | Neuroscience Bulletin2024,40,2: | 0
Impact of apolipoprotein A1 on tumor immune microenvironment, clinical prognosis and genomic landscape in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Background:Current knowledge on apolipoprotein A1(APOA1)in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is fragmented and even contradic-tory.Multi-dimensional analyses are required to comprehensively elucidate its value and underlying mechanism. Methods:We collected 49 RNA-seq datasets,40 cell line types data and 70 scRNA pan-cancer datasets public available, including 17 HCC datasets(1754 tumor samples),and enrolled 73 pairs of HCC tissue and 516 blood samples independently from our clinics.APOA1 impacting on the HCC tumor microenvironment(TME)was analyzed using intensive data mining.Methylation sequencing, flow cy-tometry,quantitative PCR,western blot, immunohistochemistry and clinical chemistry assays were conducted for wet experimental investigation. Results:The APOA1 ontology fingerprint indicated that it played various crucial biological roles in HCC,primarily involved in choles-terol efflux.Consistent findings at histology, serology, and clinical follow-up revealed that high APOA1 was a good prognosis indicator of HCc.Hypermethylation in the APOA1 promoter region was found in clinical samples which is in accordance with the reduction of APOA1 in HCC.The cell cycle,DNA replication, mismatch repair pathways, and tumor cell proliferation were less observed in the HCC APOAihigh subgroup. The favorable immunoregulatory abilities of APOA1 showed interesting findings:a positive correlation between APOA1 and anti-tumor immune cells(NK,CD8+T cells)and a negative association with immune cells exerting immunosuppressive effects, including M2 macrophages. Conclusion:This is an integrative multidimensional exploration of APOA1 using bioinformatics and experiments. Both the prognostic value and anti-tumor effects based on APOA1 panoramic exploration in the HCC TME demonstrate a new potential clinicai target for HCC assessment and intervention in the future. | Ying Wang Shipeng Chen Xiao Xiao Fan Yang Jinhan Wange Hui Zong Yuzhen Gao Chenjun Huang Xuewen Xu Meng Fang Xiaoyan Zhang Chunfang Gao | 2023 | Precision Clinical Medicine2023,6,3: | 0
