Modeling habitat distribution of Cornus officinalis with Maxent modeling and fuzzy logics in China显示文摘Aims Predicting suitable habitat distribution is an effective way to protect rare or endangered medicinal plants.Cornus officinalis is a perennial tree growing in forest edge and its air-dried pericarp is one of the traditional Chinese medicines(TCM)with significant medicinal values. In recent years,C.officinalis has undergone severe degeneration of its natural habitat owing to growing market demands and unprecedented damage to the forests. Moreover, the degeneration of suitable habitat has threatened the supply of medicinal materials, and even led to the extinction of some engendered medicinal plant species. In this case, there is a great risk to introduce and cultivate medicinal plants if planners determine the suitable cultivation regions based on personal subjective experience alone. Therefore, predicting suitable potential habitat distribution of medicinal plants(e.g.C.officinalis)and revealing the environmental factors determining such distribution patterns are important to habitat conservation and environmental restoration. Methods In this article,we report the results of a study on the habitat distribution of C.officinalis using maximum entropy(Maxent)modeling and fuzzy logics together with loganin content and environmental variables. The localities of 106 C.officinalis in China were collected by our group and other researchers and used as occurrence data. The loganin content of 234 C.officinalis germplasm resources were tested by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)and used as content data.79 environmental variables were selected and processed with multicollinearity test by using Pearson Correlation Coefficient(r)to determine a set of independent variables. The chosen variables were then processed in the fuzzy linear model according to the cell values(maximum, minimum)of localities with estimated loganin content. The SDMtoolbox was used to spatially rarefy occurrence data and prepare bias files.Furthermore, combined Maxent modeling and fuzzy logics were used to predict the suitable habitat of C.officinalis.The modeling result was validated using null-model method.Important Findings As a result, six environmental factors including tmin3,prec3,bio4,alt,bio12 and bio3 were determined as key influential factors that mostly affected both the habitat suitability and active ingredient of C.officinalis.The highly suitable regions of C.officinalis mainly distribute in a‘core distribution zone’of the east-central China. The statistically significant AUC value indicated that combined Maxent modeling and fuzzy logics could be used to predict the suitable habitat distribution of medicinal plants.Furthermore, our results confirm that ecological factors played critical roles in assessing suitable geographical regions as well as active ingredient of plants, highlighting the need for effective habitat rehabilitation and resource conservation. | Bo Cao Chengke Bai Linlin Zhang Guishuang Li Mingce Mao | 2016 | Journal of Plant Ecology2016,9,6: | 11

Activated carbon enhanced ozonation of oxalate attributed to HO·oxidation in bulk solution and surface oxidation: Effect of activated carbon dosage and pH显示文摘Ozonation of oxalate in aqueous phase was performed with a commercial activated carbon(AC)in this work. The effect of AC dosage and solution pH on the contribution of hydroxyl radicals(HOU) in bulk solution and oxidation on the AC surface to the removal of oxalate was studied. We found that the removal of oxalate was reduced by tert-butyl alcohol(tBA) with low dosages of AC,while it was hardly affected by tBA when the AC dosage was greater than 0.3 g/L. tBA also inhibited ozone decomposition when the AC dosage was no more than 0.05 g/L, but it did not work when the AC dosage was no less than 0.1 g/L. These observations indicate that HOUin bulk solution and oxidation on the AC surface both contribute to the removal of oxalate. HOU oxidation in bulk solution is significant when the dosage of AC is low, whereas surface oxidation is dominant when the dosage of AC is high. The oxalate removal decreased with increasing pH of the solution with an AC dosage of 0.5 g/L. The degradation of oxalate occurs mainly through surface oxidation in acid and neutral solution, but through HOUoxidation in basic bulk solution. A mechanism involving both HOUoxidation in bulk solution and surface oxidation was proposed for AC enhanced ozonation of oxalate. | Linlin Xing Yongbing Xie Daisuke Minakata Hongbin Cao Jiadong Xiao Yi Zhang John C. | 4 | Photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange over ITO/CdS/ZnO interface composite films显示文摘ITO/CdS/ZnO interface composite films were successfully prepared by subsequent electrodeposition of CdS and ZnO onto indium tin oxide (ITO) glass substrates. The obtained ITO/CdS/ZnO composite films were characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The photocatalytic activity of ITO/CdS/ZnO composite films were investigated using methyl orange (MO) as a model organic compound under UV light irradiation. The influence of operating parameters on MO degradation including initial concentration of MO, pH value of solution, and inorganic anion species over the composite films were examined. A blue shift of absorption threshold was observed for the ITO/CdS/ZnO film in comparison with ITO/ZnO film. ITO/CdS/ZnO composite films prepared under specific conditions showed a higher photocatalytic activity than that of ITO/ZnO films. It was also found that the photocatalytic degradation of MO on the composite films followed pseudo-first order kinetics. | WEI Shouqiang, SHAO Zhongcai, LU Xudong, LIU Ying, CAO Linlin, HE Yan School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering, Shenyang Ligong University, Shenyang 110168, China. | 2009 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,7: | 4

Experimental demonstration of the three-phase-shifted DFB semiconductor laser with buried heterostructure using common holographic exposure显示文摘In this article,we report the first experimental demonstration of the three-phase-shifted(3PS)DFB semiconductor laser with buried heterostructure based on the Reconstruction-Equivalent-Chirp(REC)technique.The simulation results show that the performances of the equivalent 3PS DFB semiconductor laser are nearly the same as those of the true 3PS laser.Compared with the quarter-wave-phase shift(QWS)DFB semiconductor laser, the 3PS DFB semiconductor laser shows better single-longitude-mode(SLM)property even at high injection current with high temperature. However,it only changes theμm-level sampling structures but the seed grating is uniform using the REC technique. Therefore, its fabrication cost is low. | LU LinLin CAO BaoLi ZHANG LiBo TANG Song LI LianYan LI SiMin SHI YueChun CHEN XiangFei | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,11: | 4
Experimental Analysis of Flow Structure in Contra-Rotating Axial Flow Pump Designed with Different Rotational Speed Concept显示文摘As a high specific speed pump, the contra-rotating axial flow pump distinguishes itself in a rear rotor rotating in the opposite direction of the front rotor, which remarkably contributes to the energy conversion, the reduction of the pump size, better hydraulic and cavitation performances. However, with two rotors rotating reversely, the significant interaction between blade rows was observed in our prototype contra-rotating rotors, which highly affected the pump performance compared with the conventional axial flow pumps. Consequently, a new type of rear rotor was designed by the rotational speed optimization methodology with some additional considerations, aiming at better cavitation performance, the reduction of blade rows interaction and the secondary flow suppression. The new rear rotor showed a satisfactory performance at the design flow rate but an unfavorable positive slope of the head-flow rate curve in the partial flow rate range less than 40% of the design flow rate, which should be avoided for the reliability of pump-pipe systems. In the present research, to understand the internal flow field of new rear rotor and its relation to the performances at the partial flow rates, the velocity distributions at the inlets and outlets of the rotors are firstly investigated. Then, the boundary layer flows on rotor surfaces, which clearly reflect the secondary flow inside the rotors, are analyzed through the limiting streamline observations using the multi-color oil-film method. Finally, the unsteady numerical simulations are carried out to understand the complicated internal flow structures in the rotors. | Linlin Cao Satoshi Watanabe Toshiki Imanishi Hiroaki Yoshimura Akinori Furukawa | 2013 | Journal of Thermal Science2013,22,4: | 3
Targeting slug-mediated non-canonical activation of c-Met to overcome chemo-resistance in metastatic ovarian cancer cells显示文摘Metastasis-associated drug resistance accounts for high mortality in ovarian cancer and remains to be a major barrier for effective treatment. In this study, SKOV3/T4, a metastatic subpopulation of ovarian cancer SKOV3 cells, was enriched to explore potential interventions against metastaticassociated drug resistance. Quantitative genomic and functional analyses were performed and found that slug was significantly increased in the SKOV3/T4 subpopulation and contributed to the high resistance of SKOV3/T4. Further studies showed that slug activated c-Met in a ligand-independent manner due to elevated levels of fibronectin and provoked integrin α V function, which was confirmed by the significant correlation of slug and p-Met levels in 121 ovarian cancer patient samples. Intriguingly,c-Met inhibitor(s) exhibited greatly enhanced anti-cancer effects in slug-positive ovarian cancer models both in vitro and in vivo. Additionally, IHC analyses revealed that slug levels were highly correlated with reduced survival of ovarian cancer patients. Taken together, this study not only uncovers the critical roles of slug in drug resistance in ovarian cancer but also highlights a promising therapeutic strategy by targeting the noncanonical activation of c-Met in slug-positive ovarian cancer patients with poor prognosis. | Linlin Chang Yan Hu Yingying Fu Tianyi Zhou Jun You Jiamin Du Lin Zheng Ji Cao Meidan Ying Xiaoyang Dai Dan Su Qiaojun He Hong Zhu Bo Yang | 2019 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2019,9,3: | 3
Surface Oxygen Injection in Tin Disulfide Nanosheets for Efficient CO_(2) Electroreduction to Formate and Syngas显示文摘Surface chemistry modification represents a promising strategy to tailor the adsorption and activation of reaction intermediates for enhancing activity.Herein,we designed a surface oxygen-injection strategy to tune the electronic structure of SnS_(2) nanosheets, which showed effectively enhanced electrocatalytic activity and selectivity of CO_(2) reduction to formate and syngas(CO and H_(2)).The oxygen-injection SnS_(2) nanosheets exhibit a remarkable Faradaic efficiency of 91.6%for carbonaceous products with a current density of 24.1 mA cm^(−2) at−0.9 V vs RHE,including 83.2%for formate production and 16.5%for syngas with the CO/H_(2) ratio of 1:1.By operando X-ray absorption spectroscopy,we unravel the in situ surface oxygen doping into the matrix during reaction, thereby optimizing the Sn local electronic states.Operando synchrotron radiation infrared spectroscopy along with theoretical calculations further reveals that the surface oxygen doping facilitated the CO_(2) activation and enhanced the affinity for HCOO*species. This result demonstrates the potential strategy of surface oxygen injection for the rational design of advanced catalysts for CO_(2) electroreduction. | Tao Chen Tong Liu Tao Ding Beibei Pang Lan Wang Xiaokang Liu Xinyi Shen Sicong Wang Dan Wu Dong Liu Linlin Cao Qiquan Luo Wei Zhang Wenkun Zhu Tao Yao | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,11: | 3
Phase group synchronization between any signals and its physical characteristics显示文摘The phase group synchronization between any signals is further revealed, which is based on proposing the new concepts of the greatest common factor frequency, the least common multiple period, quantized phase shift resolution, equivalent phase comparison frequency and so on.Then the problem of phase comparison and processing between different frequency signals is solved and shown in detail.Using the basic principle and the variation law of group phase difference, the frequency stability better than 10-14/s can be easily obtained in the time&frequency measurement and control domain, and experimental results also show the phase relations between atomic energy level transition signal and the locked crystal oscillator signal in an active hydrogen atomic clock are strict phase group synchronization, and locked precision with 10-13/s can be reached based on phase group synchronization. The phase group synchronization can provide technical support to frequency linking among radio frequency, microwave and light frequency. | DU BaoQiang SHI LinLin CHEN YaoMing DONG ShaoFeng YANG ZhiGang CAO LingZhi GUO ShuTing | 2014 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,4: | 2

PD1^+CCR2^+CD8^+T Cells Infiltrate the Central Nervous System during Acute Japanese Encephalitis Virus Infection显示文摘Japanese encephalitis(JE)is a viral encephalitis disease caused by Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV)infection.Uncontrolled inflammatory responses in the central nervous system(CNS)are a hallmark of severe JE.Although the CCR2-CCL2 axis is important for monocytes trafficking during JEV infection, little is known about its role in CNS trafficking of CD8^+T cells. Here,we characterized a mouse model of JEV infection, induced via intravenous injection(i.v.)and delineated the chemokines and infiltrating peripheral immune cells in the brains of infected mice. The CNS expression of chemokines,Ccl2,Ccl3,and Ccl5,and their receptors,Ccr2 or Ccr5.was significantly up-regulated after JEV infection and was associated with the degree of JE pathogenesis. Moreover,JEV infection resulted in the migration of a large number of CD8^+T cells into the CNS.In the brains of JEV-infected mice, infiltrating CD8^+T cells expressed CCR2 and CCR5 and were found to comprise mainly effector T cells(CD44^+CD62L_).JEV infection dramatically enhanced the expression of programmed death 1(PD-1)on infiltrating CD8^+T cells in the brain,as compared to that on peripheral CD8^+T cells in the spleen. This effect was more pronounced on infiltrating CCR2^+CD8^+T cells than on CCR2-CD8^+T cells. In conclusion,we identified a new subset of CD8^+T cells(PD1^+CCR2^+CD8^+T cells)present in the CNS of mice during acute JEV infection. These CD8^+T cells might play a role in JE pathogenesis. | Fang Zhang Linlin Qi Tong Li Xiaojing Li Dan Yang Shengbo Cao Jing Ye Bin Wei | 2019 | Virologica Sinica2019,34,5: | 2

UBE3A alleviates isoproterenol-induced cardiac hypertrophy through the inhibition of the TLR4/MMP-9 signaling pathway显示文摘Cardiac hypertrophy is considered to be a leading factor in heart function-related deaths. In this study,we explored the potential mechanism underlying cardiac hypertrophy induced by isoproterenol. Our results showed that isoproterenol induced cardiac hypertrophy in AC16 cells,as reflected by the increased cell surface area and increased hypertrophic markers, which was accompanied by increased ubiquitin-protein ligase E3a(UBE3A)expression.Moreover,UBE3A knockdown by siRNAs accelerated cardiac hypertrophy, suggesting that increased UBE3A expres sion induced by isoproterenol might be a protective response and UBE3A might be a protective factor against cardiac hypertrophy. Our study also revealed that UBE3A knockdown increased the protein expression of the TLR4/MMP-9 pathway that has been shown to be associated with cardiac hypertrophy, which suggested that UBE3A-mediated protection is likely to be associated with the blockade of the TLR4/MMP-9 signaling pathway.UBE3A might be thus a potential target gene for the treatment of cardiac hypertrophy. | Yanfei Li Linlin Ma Sijie Gu Jiewen Tian Yilin Cao Zi Jin Jingyi Chen Bingbing Gu Jiayin Tu Zhixiao Wang Xinming Li Zhongping Ning Yueling Jin | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,1: | 1
