| 2 | Underplating in the middle-lower Yangtze Valley and model of geodynamic evolution:Constraints from geophysical data显示文摘The lower crust and Moho are the most active boundary layers in the process of continental evolution, in which marks left by tectonic and magmatic activities during the process are preserved. The evolutionary process of the continental lithosphere may be reconstructed by exploring the structures of the lower crust and Moho. According to a study of the deep seismic reflection data obtained from the middle-lower Yangtze Valley, the authors find bright layered reflections ubiquitous in the lower crust and think that the bright reflections are caused by un-derplating of basic or ultrabasic magmas, which might be related to delamination of the lithosphere. On the basis of an integrated analysis of the geophysical and geological data of the region, the authors propose a model for geodynamic evolution of the middle-lower Yangtze Valley. | 3 | QTL analysis of rice low temperature germinability显示文摘A double haploid population, derived from anther culture of F, hybrid between a typical indica and a japonica (ZYQ8/JX17), has been used to investigate the low temperature germinability (LTG) at 15℃. The low temperature germinability of two parents was significantly different. In 6-11 d, the germination percentage of ZYQ8 was higher than that of JX17. In 12-16 d, the germination percentage of JX17 was higher than that of ZYQ8. The quantitative trait loci (QTLs) of every day for low temperature germinabilityhave been mapped based on a molecular linkage map constructed from this population. In 8-11 d, qLTG-9 was identified in C397B-RZ617B on chromosome 9, the additive effect was positive, showing that, the allele from JX17 could increase low temperature germinability. In 12-16 d, qLTG-4 was mapped between RG908 and CT563 on chromosome 4, the additive effect was negative, showing that the allele from ZYQ8 could increase low temperature germinability. | 4 | New technology to examine and improve the purity of hybrid rice with herbicide resistant gene显示文摘The herbicide resistant bar gene has been widely used as selectable marker genes in the study on plant genetic transformation. Owing to the integration of the gene into rice genome, transgenic rice was resistant to the herbicide Basta. Therefore, selection of transgenic plant and genetic analysis became easier. In the studies, bar gene was introduced as a genetic marker gene into rice restore line variety of two-line or three-line. Combined with conventional breeding method, the good herbicide resistant individual plant was derived as the new restore line for hybrid combination. After sprayed with Basta at seedling phase, the real hybrid rice that had herbicide resistance could grow normally, while the fake hybrid rice and weeds, having no bar gene, were killed by herbicide. | 8 | Microglia-Derived NLRP3 Activation Mediates the Pressor Effect of Prorenin in the Rostral Ventrolateral Medulla of Stress-Induced Hypertensive Rats显示文摘Increased microglial activation and neuroinflammation within autonomic brain regions such as the rostral ventrolateral medulla(RVLM)have been implicated in stress-induced hypertension(SIH).Prorenin,a member of the brain renin-angiotensin system(RAS),can directly activate microglia.The present study aimed to investigate the effects of prorenin on microglial activation in the RVLM of SIH rats.Rats were subjected to intermittent electric foot-shocks plus noise,this stress was administered for 2 h twice daily for 15 consecutive days,and mean arterial pressure(MAP)and renal sympathetic nerve activity(RSNA)were monitored.The results showed that MAP and RSNA were augmented,and this paralleled increased pro-inflammatory phenotype(M1)switching.Prorenin and its receptor(PRR)expression and the NLR family pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3)activation were increased in RVLM of SIH rats.In addition,PLX5622(a microglial depletion agent),MCC950(a NLRP3 inhibitor),and/or PRO20(a(Pro)renin receptor antagonist)had antihypertensive effects in the rats.The NLRP3 expression in the RVLM was decreased in SIH rats treated with PLX5622.Mito-tracker staining showed translocation of NLRP3 from mitochondria to the cytoplasm in proreninstimulated microglia.Prorenin increased the ROS-triggering M1 phenotype-switching and NLRP3 activation,while MCC950 decreased the M1 polarization.In conclusion,upregulated prorenin in the RVLM may be involved in the pathogenesis of SIH,mediated by activation of the microglia-derived NLRP3 inflammasome.The link between prorenin and NLRP3 in microglia provides insights for the treatment of stress-related hypertension. | Li Hu Shutian Zhang Kokwin Ooi Xuehai Wu Jiaxiang Wu Jian Cai Yinggang Sun Jijiang Wang Danian Zhu Fuxue Chen Chunmei Xia | 2020 | Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,5: | 3 |
| 9 | HGF percutaneous endocardial injection induces cardiomyocyte proliferation and rescues cardiac function in pigs显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effect of cardiomyocyte proliferation induced by human hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)in pigs with chronic myocardial infarction(CMI).Methods:A steerable,deflectable 7F catheter incorporating a 27-guage needle was advanced percutaneously to the left ventricular myocardium of 18 pigs with CMI.Pigs were randomized(1:1:1)to receive adenoviral vector HGF(total dose,1×1010 genome copies),which was administered as five injections into the infarcted myocardium(total,1.0 mL),or saline,or Ad-null(control groups).Injections were guided by Ensite NavX left ventricular electroanatomical mapping.HGF and cyclin proteins were detected by western blot and immunoprecipitation analysis.Histological and immunohistochemical analysis determined proliferating cardiomyocytes.Myocardial perfusion and cardiac function were estimated by Gated-Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography(G-SPECT).Results:Western blot analyses showed that HGF were predominantly expressed in the infarct core and border in the myocardium of the infarcted heart.G-SPECT analysis indicated that the HGF group had better cardiac function and myocardial perfusion four weeks after the injection of Ad-HGF than before the injection of Ad-HGF.After treatment there were more proliferating cardiomyocytes in the HGF group compared to either of the control groups.Furthermore,the HGF group myocardial samples expressed higher levels of p-Akt,cyclin A,cyclin E,cyclin D1,cdk2,cdk4 than those in the control groups.Conclusion:The over-expression of HGF activates pro-survival pathways,induces cardiomyocyte proliferation,and improves the perfusion and function of the porcine CMI heart. | Zhengxian Tao Bo Chen Yingming Zhao Hongwu Chen Liansheng Wang Yonghong Yong Kejiang Cao Qifeng Yu Danian Ke` Hua Wang Zuze Wu Zhijian Yang | 2010 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,3: | 3 |

| 12 | Crustal thickness and composition in the South China Block:Constraints from earthquake receiver function显示文摘Crustal thickness and composition are closely related to geology and tectonic evolution of the region.Studying the differences in the crustal thickness and composition of the South China Block(SCB)is important to gain a comprehensive understanding of multi-phase amalgamation,breakup,reworking,and regional geodynamic processes.In this study,teleseismic data from 135 high-density portable broadband stations from Sino Probe were processed using Common Conversion Point(CCP)stacking and H-κstacking methods.The Moho depth and P-wave and S-wave velocity ratio(V_(p)/V_(s))were studied.Our results revealed several insights about the tectonic processes in the SCB.First,the crustal structure and V_(p)/V_(s)ratios of the Cathaysia Block,Jiangnan Orogenic Belt,and Yangtze Block were significantly different.The average depth of the Moho in the Cathaysia Block was approximately 31 km,and the V_(p)/V_(s)ratios increased from the inland area(1.66)to the coastal area(1.78),indicating the oceanward increase of mafic proportion in the lower crust,which is related to the influence of the Paleo-Pacific Plate westward subduction.Second,the crustal thickness of Jiangnan Orogenic Belt deepens from east ca.31 to the west ca.42 km and the V_(p)/V_(s)ratios varied from 1.75 to 1.64,illustrating a relatively felsic crust,which could have been related to the Mesozoic upper crustal thickening under compression followed by the lower crust removal under the extensional background.Third,the average crustal thickness of the Yangtze Block was 42 km,and the V_(p)/V_(s)ratios ranged from 1.64 to 1.84,presenting a positive correlation between the Moho depth and the V_(p)/V_(s)ratio,which is explained by the relatively thick mafic lower crust.Based on the variations in the crustal structure and V_(p)/V_(s)ratios of the profile,we inferred that the central part of the Jiangnan Orogenic Belt was bounded by the Jiangshan-Shaoxing-Hengyang in the east and the Jiujiang-Shitai-Jishou in the west.The small-scale Moho depth undulations at the intersection of the Cathaysia Block and the Jiangnan Orogenic Belt could be related to the Mesozoic compression-extension geodynamic transformation. | Changxin CHEN Qingtian LÜ Ling CHEN Danian SHI Jiayong YAN Yinshuang AI | 2022 | Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,4: | 3 |

| 14 | Could gingko foliage serve as a bio-monitor for organochlorine pesticides in air?显示文摘The feasibility of gingko (Gingo Biloba) foliage as a passive bio-monitor for organochlorine pesticides in air was explored. The accumulation patterns of hexachlorocyclohexanes (HCHs), dichlorodiphenyl- trichloroethanes (DDTs) and hexachlorobenzene (HCB) in gingko foliage were similar; the amounts of HCHs, DDTs and HCB increased with foliage growth in spring and decreased thereafter. This accumu-lation pattern is likely related to the growing process of the gingko foliage, which was observed for the first time in our work, giving a piece of evidence for the 'bud burst effect' in plants. Compared with those in pine needles in 1980's, the residual levels of HCHs and DDTs have declined obviously in Bei-jing, indicating that the ban on the production and use of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in our country is effective; however, the amount of HCB has increased, indicating great progress of chemical industry in Beijing. The analysis for the source of OCPs in the gingko foliage showed that the technical HCHs and DDTs were used largely in history, but were not used in recent years. A little lidane has been used and there was a new input of o,p′-DDT in recent years; dicofol usage may be the main source of o,p′-DDT. Concentrations of HCHs, DDTs and HCB in gingko foliages were similar to those in pine nee-dles in the corresponding period and there is a strong positive correlation between the OCPs concen-tration data obtained from these two kinds of trees. It presents no difference in the accumulation style between these two kinds of trees. The level of OCPs in the gingko foliage reflects the pollution status of OCP in air. | 15 | 3D inversion of borehole gravity data using cokriging显示文摘Borehole gravity has been used in mineral exploration recently with the advent of slim-hole gravimeters. It is logical to perform inversion to utilize the information in the newly acquired data. The inversions were carried out by using cokriging,which is a geostatistical method of estimation that minimizes the error variance by applying cross-correlation between several variables. In this study the estimated densities are derived by using boreholes gravity and known densities along the borehole. This method does not need iterative process and computes efficiently. The selection of examples demonstrates that this method has the ability to include physical property from borehole measurements in the inversion. The synthetic examples demonstrate the density variation along a borehole can be well determined without depth constraints in the inversion. The resolution of the recovered model can be further improved by including the densities along the borehole for inversion. | 19 | Paraventricular Nucleus P2X7 Receptors Aggravate Acute Myocardial Infarction Injury via ROS-Induced Vasopressin-V1b Activation in Rats显示文摘The present study was designed to investigate the mechanisms by which P2X7 receptors(P2X7Rs)mediate the activation of vasopressinergic neurons thereby increasing sympathetic hyperactivity in the paraventricular nucleus(PVN) of the hypothalamus of rats with acute myocardial ischemia(AMI). The left anterior descending branch of the coronary artery was ligated to induce AMI in rats. The rats were pretreated with BBG(brilliant blue G, a P2X7R antagonist), nelivaptan(a vasopressin V1b receptor antagonist), or diphenyleneiodonium(DPI) [an nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADPH)oxidase inhibitor]. Hemodynamic parameters of the heart were monitored. Myocardial injury and cardiomyocyte apoptosis were assessed. In the PVN of AMI rats, P2X7R mediated microglial activation, while reactive oxygen species(ROS) and NADPH oxidase 2(NOX2) were higher than in the sham group. Intraperitoneal injection of BBG effectively reduced ROS production and vasopressin expression in the PVN of AMI rats. Moreover, both BBG and DPI pretreatment effectively reduced sympathetic hyperactivity and ameliorated AMI injury, as represented by reduced inflammation and apoptosis of cardiomyocytes.Furthermore, microinjection of nelivaptan into the PVN improved cardiac function and reduced the norepinephrine(AE) levels in AMI rats. | 20 | Detection of UXO magnetic anomaly in Jinshan area显示文摘Magnetic survey is one of the most successful techniques for locating buried unexploded ordnances( UXO). For the location and identification of buried UXO in Jinshan area,a total-field magnetic survey is applied. The analytic signal of magnetic field is widely used to outline the boundaries of geology bodies,slightly dependent on the magnetization direction. In order to locate the UXO position,the analytic signal is applied to process the magnetic UXO data,which performs better than the conventional magnetic data.
