| 1 | Nitrogen removal and simultaneous nitrification and denitrification in a fluidized bed step-feed process显示文摘For urban wastewater treatment,we conducted a novel four-stage step-feed wastewater treatment system combined with a fluidized bed laboratory experiment to investigate chemical oxygen demand(COD),NH4+-N,and total nitrogen(TN) removal performance.The removal rates of COD,NH4+-N and TN were 88.2%,95.7%,and 86.4% with e?uent concentrations of COD,NH4+-N and TN less than 50,8,and 10 mg/L,respectively.Biomass and bacterial activities were also measured,with results showing more nitrobacteria in the activated sludge than in the biofilm;however,bacterial activity of the biofilm biomass and the activated sludge were similar.Nitrogen concentrations during the process were also detected,with simultaneous nitrification and denitrification found to be obvious. | BingWang Wei Wang Hongjun Han Hongbo Hu Haifeng Zhuang | 2012 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,2: | 22 |
| 2 | Activation flotation and mechanism of lime-depressed pyrite with oxalic acid显示文摘Flotation tests, contact angle measurements, infrared spectrum analyses, X-ray analyses and computer simulation were carried out in order to study the activation mechanism of lime-depressed pyrite with oxalic acid. The results show that the oxalic acid effectively eliminated the hydrophilic calcium film from the surface of pyrite. Therefore, the efficiency of pyrite flotation was also activated. The results indicate that after reacting with hydrophobic insoluble remainders on the surface of pyrite, oxalic acid can produce hydrophilic compounds, such as CaCO 3 , Ca(OH) 2 and Fe(OH) 3 . | 3 | Analysis of the cracks formation on surface of extruded magnesium rod based on numerical modeling and experimental verification显示文摘To reduce the surface cracks of extrusion rod for AZ31 magnesium caused by nonho-mogeneous metal flow in extrusion process, 3D computer finite element (FE) simulations of extruding a wrought magnesium alloy AZ31 into rods have been performed and the results have been verified in extrusion experiments under identical conditions. The tendency to generate the dead zone is decreased by employing the die angle 60° at the cone-shaped die comparing with the die angle 180°. The surface additional tensile stresses of the rod at the die exit are decreased greatly so that the surface cracks caused are avoided by using the die angle 60°. The extrusion die with die angle 180° would increase the higher temperature rise and possibility of crack forma- tion on the rod surface that caused by die angle 60° and temperature rise decrease tensile strength of the AZ31 rod. The experimental results show that die angle 180° could cause continuous cracks on the surface of the extruded rod. The extrusion force required is reduced approximately 15 ton by employing the die angle 60°. Theoretical results obtained by the DeformTM-3D simulation agreed well with the experiments. | 4 | Review of Chinese atmospheric science research over the past 70 years: Synoptic meteorology显示文摘Synoptic meteorology is a branch of meteorology that uses synoptic weather observations and charts for the diagnosis,study,and forecasting of weather.Weather refers to the specific state of the atmosphere near the Earth’s surface during a short period of time.The spatial distribution of meteorological elements in the atmosphere can be represented by a variety of transient weather phenomena,which are caused by weather systems of different spatial and temporal scales.Weather is closely related to people’s life,and its development and evolution have always been the focus of atmospheric scientific research and operation.The development of synoptic meteorology is closely related to the development of observation systems,dynamical theories and numerical models.In China,observation networks have been built since the early 1950 s.Up to now,a comprehensive meteorological observation systembased on ground,air and space has been established.In particular,the development of a new generation of dense radar networks,the development of the Fengyun satellite series and the implementation of a series of large field experiments have brought our understanding of weather from large-scale environment to thermal dynamics,cloud microphysical structure and evolution characteristics of meso and micro-scale weather systems.The development of observation has also promoted the development of theory,numerical model and simulation.In the early days,China mainly used foreign numerical models.Lately,China has developed numerical model systems with independent intellectual property rights.Based on the results of high-resolution numerical simulations,in-depth understanding of the initiation and evolution mechanism and predictability of weather at different scales has been obtained.Synoptic meteorology has gradually changed from an initially independent development to a multidisciplinary approach,and the interaction between weather and the change of climate and environment has become a hot and frontier topic in atmospheric science.This paper reviews the important scientific and technological achievements made in China over the past 70 years in the fields of synoptic meteorology based on the literatures in China and abroad,from six aspects respectively including atmospheric dynamics,synoptic-scale weather,typhoon and tropical weather,severe convective weather,numerical weather prediction and data assimilation,weather and climate,atmospheric physics and atmospheric environment. | Zhiyong MENG Fuqing ZHANG Dehai LUO Zhemin TAN Juan FANG Jianhua SUN Xueshun SHEN Yunji ZHANG Shuguang WANG Wei HAN Kun ZHAO Lei ZHU Yongyun HU Huiwen XUE Yaping MA Lijuan ZHANG Ji NIE Ruilin ZHOU Sa LI Hongjun LIU Yuning ZHU | 2019 | Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12: | 7 |
| 5 | Real-time flood forecasting of Huai River with flood diversion and retarding areas显示文摘A combination of the rainfall-runoff module of the Xin’anjiang model, the Muskingum routing method, the water stage simulating hydrologic method, the diffusion wave nonlinear water stage method, and the real-time error correction method is applied to the real-time flood forecasting and regulation of the Huai River with flood diversion and retarding areas. The Xin’anjiang model is used to forecast the flood discharge hydrograph of the upstream and tributary. The flood routing of the main channel and flood diversion areas is based on the Muskingum method. The water stage of the downstream boundary condition is calculated with the water stage simulating hydrologic method and the water stages of each cross section are calculated from downstream to upstream with the diffusion wave nonlinear water stage method. The input flood discharge hydrograph from the main channel to the flood diversion area is estimated with the fixed split ratio of the main channel discharge. The flood flow inside the flood retarding area is calculated as a reservoir with the water balance method. The faded-memory forgetting factor least square of error series is used as the real-time error correction method for forecasting discharge and water stage. As an example, the combined models were applied to flood forecasting and regulation of the upper reaches of the Huai River above Lutaizi during the 2007 flood season. | 6 | Effects of heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ZA84 magnesium alloy显示文摘The effects of heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ZA84 (Mg-8Zn-4Al-0.25Mn) alloy were investigated. The results indicate that the as-cast microstructure of the alloy is mainly composed of α-Mg matrix and two different morphologies of precipitates (continuous and quasi-continuous Mg32(Al,Zn)49 phases and isolated Mg5Al2Zn2 phases). After solid solution treatment at 345°C, the Mg32(Al,Zn)49 phases change from continuous and quasi-continuous net to disconnected acute angle shape, and parts of second phases sphericize. The optimum heat treatment condition for the alloy is solution treatment at 345°C for 48 h and water quenching, then aging treatment at 200°C for 12 h and atmosphere cooling. | 7 | Experimental research on rotating detonation with liquid hypergolic propellants显示文摘This paper describes experimental research into the initiation and propagation of rotating detonation for liquid Nitrogen TetrOxide(NTO) and liquid MonoMethylHydrazine(MMH).An annular rocket-type combustor without nozzle was designed to investigate detonation combustion. The propellants were injected through unlike impingement injectors. The combustion flame fronts and pressure waves were detected using optical diagnostics and dynamic pressure sensors,respectively. The propagation of rotating detonation was established spontaneously by increasing the mass flow rate of propellants. The velocity of propagation of the flame fronts and pressure waves was nearly equal and reaches supersonic speed. Two different detonation combustion patterns are present, single wave mode and double waves mode. And in double waves mode, the two detonation waves are always counter-rotating. The possibility of rotating detonation initiation in a combustor with nozzle was also checked. | 11 | Taxonomy and ultrastructure of five species of Tetraselmis (Prasinophyceae) isolated from China seas显示文摘Comparative ultrastructural investigations on twenty-three isolates of Tetraselmis from the South China Sea, East China Sea and Huanghai Sea, have revealed that these isolates belong to:(1)Tetraselmis chui Butcher; (2)T. cordiformis (H. J. Carter) Stein; (3)T. helgolandica Kylin; (4)T. suecica (Kylin) Butcher; (5)T. guangdongensis sp. nov. Except T. helgolandica, the others are new records in China. T. guangdongensis sp. nov. is a new species. Its external and anatomical features closely resemble those of T. impellucida McLachlan et Parke. As in that species the pyrenoid is penetrated from many directions by cytoplasmic channels delimited by a double membrane. The protoplast withdraws from the apical portion of the theca, that portion which overlaid the trough inverts and pops out in the form of a teat. | 13 | Two accumulation modes of marine-origin natural gas in the Tarim Basin显示文摘Hetianhe gas field, Lungudong gas field and Tazhong gas field are marine marine-origin natural gas reservoirs in the craton area in the Tarim Basin. The natural gas is generated from Cambrian source rocks. The simulation experiment indicated that the cracking of the dispersedly dissoluble organic matter remaining in the source rocks is the main origin of marine natural gas. There are two modes to form gas reservoirs, one is the dry gas reservoir such as Hetianhe gas field, in which gas accumulated on the fault belt with violent tectonic movement, the other is condensate gas reservoir formed on the inheriting uplift such as Lunnan and Tazhong gas fields. | 14 | Scattered seeding of CAR T cells in solid tumors augments anticancer efficacy显示文摘Chimeric antigen receptor T cell(CAR T) therapy was a milestone in the treatment of relapsed and refractory B cell malignancies. However, beneficial effects of CAR T cells have not been obtained in solid tumors yet. Herein, we implement a porous microneedle patch that accommodates CAR T cells and allows in situ penetration-mediated seeding of CAR T cells when implanted in the tumor bed or in the post-surgical resection cavity. CAR T cells loaded in the pores of the microneedle tips were readily escorted to the tumor in an evenly scattered manner without losing their activity. Such microneedle-mediated local delivery enhanced infiltration and immunostimulation of CAR T cells as compared to direct intratumoral injection. | 15 | Mapping of wheat stripe rust resistance gene Yr041133 by BSR-Seq analysis显示文摘Puccinia striiformis Westend. f. sp. tritici(Pst) pathotype CYR34 is widely virulent and prevalent in China.Here, we report identification of a strpie rust resistance(Yr) gene, designated Yr041133, in winter wheat line 041133. This line produced a hypersensitive reaction to CYR34 and conferred resistance to 13 other pathotypes. Resistance to CYR34 in line 041133 was controlled by a single dominant gene. Bulked segregant RNA sequencing(BSR-Seq) was performed on a pair of RNA bulks generated by pooling resistant and susceptible recombinant inbred lines. Yr041133 was mapped to a 1.7 c M genetic interval on the chromosome arm 7 BL that corresponded to a 0.8 Mb physical interval(608.9–609.7 Mb) in the Chinese Spring reference genome.
