| 1 | Role of illness perception and self-efficacy in lifestyle modification among non-alcoholic fatty liver disease patients显示文摘AIM To describe the relationships between non-alcoholic fatty-liver disease(NAFLD) patient's disease consequences and treatment perceptions, self-efficacy, and healthy lifestyle maintenance. METHODS A cross-sectional study among 146 ultrasound diagnosed NAFLD patients who visited the fatty liver clinic at the TelAviv Medical Center. Eighty-seven of these individuals, participated in a clinical trial of physical activity and underwent fasting blood tests, analyzed at the same lab. Exclusion criteria included positivity for serum HBsA g or anti-HCV antibodies; fatty liver suspected to be secondary to hepatotoxic drugs; excessive alcohol consumption(≥ 30 g/d in men or ≥ 20 g/d in women) and positive markers of genetic or immune-mediated liver diseases. Patients were asked to complete a selfreport structured questionnaire, assembled by the Israeli Center for Disease Control. Nutrition habits were measured using six yes/no questions(0 = no, 1 = yes) adopted from the national survey questionnaire. Participants in the clinical trial completed a detailed semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire(FFQ) reporting their habitual nutritional intake during the past year. Self-efficacy was assessed by the Self-Efficacy Scale questionnaire, emotional representation, degree of illness understanding, timeline perception, treatment perception and symptoms were measured by the Brief Illness Perception questionnaire. Illness consequences were measured by the Personal Models of Diabetes Interview questionnaire. A path analysis was performed to describe the interrelationships between the patients' illness perceptions, and assess the extent to which the data fit a prediction of nutritional habits.RESULTS The study sample included 54.1% men, with a mean age of 47.76 ± 11.68 years(range: 20-60) and mean body mass index of 31.56 ± 4.6. The average perceived nutrition habits score was 4.73 ± 1.45 on a scale between 0-6, where 6 represents the healthiest eating habits. Most of the study participants(57.2%) did not feel they fully understood what NAFLD is. Better nutritional habits were positively predicted by the degree of illness understanding(β = 0.26; P = 0.002) and selfefficacy(β = 0.25; P = 0.003). Perceptions of more severe illness consequences were related with higher emotional representation(β = 0.55; P < 0.001), which was related with lower self-efficacy(β =-0.17; P = 0.034). The perception of treatment effectiveness was positively related with self-efficacy(β = 0.32; P < 0.001). In accordance with the correlation between self-efficacy and the perceived nutrition habits score, self-efficacy was also correlated with nutrient intake evaluated by the FFQ; negatively with saturated fat(percent of saturated fat calories from total calories)(r =-0.28, P = 0.010) and positively with fiber(r = 0.22, P = 0.047) and vitamin C intake(r = 0.34, P = 0.002). In a sub analysis of the clinical trial participants, objectively measured compliance to physical activity regimen was positively correlated with the self-efficacy level(r = 0.34, P = 0.046). CONCLUSION Self-efficacy and illness understanding are major determinants of lifestyle-modification among NAFLD patients. | 4 | 柴达木盆地西部第四纪气候变化和流域风化显示文摘长期以来关于构造隆升、气候变化和大陆化学风化的相互关系存在诸多争议。在气候和构造相互作用典型区域建立高精度大陆化学风化序列是解决上述科学问题的有效途径之一。位于青藏高原东北缘长期封闭的柴达木盆地,其独特的位置和连续的沉积使其成为研究构造隆升、气候变化和大陆化学风化的理想场所。本文以柴达木盆地西部千米深钻SG—1钻孔高质量的连续细粒湖相岩芯为研究对象,使用盐类矿物的硫酸根和钾离子含量、碳酸盐锰含量和硅酸盐化学蚀变指数(CIA)和Nd同位素分析,重建该区第四纪以来湖泊流域气候变化过程和硅酸盐化学风化及可能的物源变化。结果表明柴达木盆地西部第四纪以来流域物源相对稳定,流域整体呈现出气候干旱化、流域硅酸盐风化强度减弱、湖水盐度增加和湖面降低的长期一致性演化过程;上述演化进程在2.2Ma到2.0Ma期间短暂加强,在约1.2Ma和约0.6~0.5Ma出现逐步加强趋势。过去60万年,柴达木盆地西部在冰期存在的相对高湖面时期与黄土高原粒度指标反映的冬季风减弱阶段可以很好对比。北大西洋海表温度反映的高纬过程是长时间尺度(〉10 5年)驱动柴达木盆地西部气候变化和流域硅酸盐风化强度变化的主要因素;西伯利亚高压系统和西风系统的“跷跷板关系”可能是冰期一间冰期或者更短尺度影响柴达木盆地西部气候变化的主要因素。 | 杨一博 方小敏 Albert Galy 杨戎生 | 2018 | 第四纪研究2018,38,1: | 5 |

| 6 | First principles calculation of spin-related quantities for point defect qubit research显示文摘Point defect research in semiconductors has gained remarkable new momentum due to the identification of special point defects that can implement qubits and single photon emitters with unique characteristics.Indeed,these implementations are among the few alternatives for quantum technologies that may operate even at room temperature,and therefore discoveries and characterization of novel point defects may highly facilitate future solid state quantum technologies.First principles calculations play an important role in point defect research,since they provide a direct,extended insight into the formation of the defect states.In the last decades,considerable efforts have been made to calculate spin-dependent properties of point defects from first principles.The developed methods have already demonstrated their essential role in quantitative understanding of the physics and application of point defect qubits.Here,we review and discuss accuracy aspects of these novel ab initio methods and report on their most relevant applications for existing point defect qubits in semiconductors.We pay attention to the advantages and limitations of the methodological solutions and highlight additional developments that are expected in the near future.Moreover,we discuss the opportunity of a systematic search for potential point defect qubits,as well as the possible development of predictive spin dynamic simulations facilitated by ab initio calculations of spin-dependent quantities. | Viktor Ivády Igor A.Abrikosov Adam Gali | 2018 | npj Computational Materials2018,,1: | 4 |

| 8 | Preparation of novel methyl methacrylate/fluorinated silsesquioxane copolymer film with low surface energy显示文摘Random copolymers of methyl methacrylate and fluorinated polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane(F-POSS) were synthesized and the corresponding thin films were prepared from solvent casting.Their microstructure was confirmed by 1H NMR,elemental analysis and GPC.Separation occurs in the bulk of the film during solvent evaporation which can be evidenced by Transmission Electron Microscopy,TEM,with POSS-rich nanophase sizes from 20 to 50 nm.Nanostructuration is attributed to the self-assembly of F-POSS due to the cluster-cluster interactions resulting from the nature of their ligands,i.e.,cycloaliphatic ligands and perfluorinated chains.Thermogravimetric analysis was used to investigate the thermal degradation temperature.It was shown that when F-POSS content is higher than 2.8 mol%,the incorporation of F-POSS could improve the thermal stability of PMMA significantly.In addition,it was shown that these fluorinated POSS-based copolymer surfaces could reduce the surface energy and could be used to design water-repellant nanocomposite coatings. | GALY Jocelyne GéRARD Jean-Franois | 2010 | Science China Chemistry2010,53,9: | 3 |

| 10 | Molecular evidence for biochemical diversification of phenolamide biosynthesis in rice plants显示文摘Two phenolamides(PAs), p-coumaroylputrescine and feruloylputrescine strongly accumulate in rice(Oryza sativa cv. Nipponbare) leaves subjected to attack of chewing and sucking herbivores. Here we identified and characterized in vitro three novel rice genes that mediated coumaroyl-Co A/feruloyl-Co A conjugation to polyamines, putrescine and agmatine. Interestingly, two genes were highly specific for their polyamine substrates, encoding putrescine N-hydroxycinnamoyltransferase and agmatine N-hydroxycinnamoyltransferase, while the third enzyme could use both polyamines and it was therefore annotated as putrescine/agmatine N-hydroxycinnamoyltransferase. All genes were preferentially expressed in rice roots and developing flowers,and in addition, the putrescine/agmatine N-hydroxycinnamoyltransferase transcripts were strongly induced by wounding in the young rice leaves. Because the wound response of this gene was only partially suppressed in the jasmonoyl-L-isoleucine deficient plants(Osjar1), it suggests that its upregulation(as well as inducible PAs in rice) may be largely independent of jasmonoyl-L-isoleucine signaling pathway.
