1INTERFACE REACTION IN MAGNETIC MULTILAYERS显示文摘Ta/NiO/NiFe/Ta multilayers were prepared by rf reactive and dc magnetron sputtering. The exchange coupling field (Hex) between NiO and NiFe reached 120Oe. The composition and chemical states at the interface region of NiO/NiFe were studied using the x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and peak decomposition technique. The results show that there are two thermodynamically favorable reactions at NiO/NiFe interface: NiO+Fe=Ni+FeO and 3NiO+2Fe = 3Ni+Fe2O3. The thickness of the chemical reaction as estimated by angle-resolved XPS was about 1-1.5nm. These interface reaction products are magnetic defects, and we believe that the Hex and the coercivity (Hc) of NiO/NiFe are affected by these defects. Moreover, the results also show that there is an 'intermixing layer' at the Ta/NiO (and NiO/Ta) interface due to a thermodynamically favorable reaction: 2Ta+5NiO=5Ni+ Ta2O5. This interface reaction has an effect on the exchange coupling as well. The thickness of the 'intermixing layer' as estimated by XPS depth-profiles was about 8-10nm.G.H. Yu, M.H Li, F. W Zhu, X.F. 4寄主植物对小菜蛾实验种群生物学参数的影响(英文)显示文摘实验观察了小菜蛾取食不同种白菜和油菜的主要生物学参数 ,包括幼虫、蛹的历期、蛹质量、化蛹率、羽化率和雌虫产卵量 .结果表明 :(1)取食苔菜 (Brassicacamelina)幼虫历期最短 ,取食花椰菜 (B .oleraceavar.botrytis)幼虫历期最长 ;(2 )取食不同蔬菜化蛹率变化明显 ,其中以白芥 (Brassicaalba)最高达 90 .7% ,羽化率变化很大 ,以欧州油菜 (Brassicanapus)最高达 84 % ;(3)蛹质量也因寄主不同而异 ,取食蔬菜B .napus最低为 5 .6 8mg ,取食香花芥菜 (E .sativus)最高为 7.5 4mg .(4)取食香花芥菜雌虫产卵量最高为 16 5 .5 0粒 ;(5 )蛹质量和寄主含氮量 ,产卵量和寄主含氮量 ,产卵量和蛹质量分别相关性显著 ,并建立了回归方程分别为 :Y =4 .0 92 7+0 .6 5 0 5N ,Y =- 118.5 74 0 +5 7.5 6 2 5N和Y =- 379.4 2 0 +71.881X .SYED T.S. 10Fabrication and mechanical properties of MWCNTs-reinforced aluminum composites by hot extrusion显示文摘Over the past decade,the interest in aluminum composites reinforced with carbon nanotubes has grown significantly.Studies have been carried out to overcome problems with uniform dispersion,interfacial bonding,void formation and carbide formation of the composites.In the present work,multi-wall carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) aluminum composites were produced.High-energy ball milling with the aim at developing well-dispersed MWCNTs Al composites was followed by cold compaction,sintering,and hot extrusion at 500 ℃.Different amounts of stearic acid as processing control agent(PCA) is used in order to minimize cold welding of the Al particles,and to produce finer particles.Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and X-ray diffraction(XRD) were employed to analyze the MWCNTs,the aluminum powder,and the composites' microstructural behavior.The hardness and tensile properties of the composites are also evaluated.The results showed 500% increase in yield stress after the addition of 1 wt% MWCNTs in Al-MWCNTs based composite.The ball-milling time of 4 h is found to be sufficient as excessive milling time destroys a vast number of MWCNTs.Mortazavi Majid Majzoobi G.H. 12A transmission electron microscopy study of microscopic causes for localized-corrosion morphology variations in the AA7055 Al alloy显示文摘By Using(scanning) transmission electron microscopy, localized-corrosion morphology variations of the AA7055 AlZn(Cu)Mg alloy with different thermal processes and their underlying microscopic causes were investigated systematically. Our study shows that the corrosion resistance of the nanoscale precipitates varies with their structure type and Cu-content. Just like the Al-matrix, the early-stage precipitates are corrosion resistant, as compared with the η_p/η-precipitates without high Cu-content. With a high Cucontent, however, the η-precipitates become most corrosion resistant among all phases involved. Hence,tailoring the precipitate microstructure and chemistry though thermal processes may change the overall corrosion morphology and improve corrosion resistance property of the alloy.X.B. Yang J.H.
