4Laparoscopic cystogastrostomy for the treatment of pancreatic pseudocysts: A case report显示文摘Pancreatic pseudocysts(PPs) are collections o pancreatic secretions that are lined by fibrous tissue and may contain necrotic debris or blood. The interventions including percutaneous, endoscopic o surgical approaches are based on the size, location symptoms and complications of a pseudocyst With the availability of advanced imaging system and cameras, better hemostatic equipments and excellent laparoscopic techniques, most pseudocyst can be found and managed by laparoscopy. We describe a case of a 30-year-old male patient with a pancreatic pseudocyst amenable to laparoscopi cystogastrostomy. An incision was made through the anterior gastric wall to expose the posterior gastri wall in close contact with the pseudocyst using an ultrasonically activated scalpel. Then, another incision was made for cystogastrostomy to obtain complete and unobstructed drainage. 8Features of colorectal cancer in China stratified by anatomic sites:A hospital-based study conducted in university-affiliated hospitals from 2014 to 2018显示文摘Objective:The clinical and biological characteristics of colorectal cancer have been found to differ depending on the anatomic site of the cancer.However,for Chinese patients,there is limited information on the proportion of cases at each site and the related features.In this study,we explored the location,distribution and other features of colorectal cancers at each anatomic site in Chinese patients.Methods:We conducted a hospital-based study using hospitalization summary reports from 10 Peking University-affiliated hospitals from 2014 to 2018;the reports covered a total of 2,097,347 hospitalizations.Incident cases were chosen as the study population,and their epidemiological features were further analyzed.Results:A total of 20,739 colorectal cancer patients were identified.Rectum was the most common location(48.3%)of the cancer,whereas the proportions of patients with distal and proximal colon cancer were 24.5%and18.6%,respectively.Patients with rectal cancer were predominantly male and were the youngest for all anatomical sites(each P<0.001).The highest proportion of emergency admissions,the longest hospital stays and the highest hospitalization costs were found in patients with proximal colon cancer(each P<0.001).The proximal colon cancer subgroup included the highest proportions of patients with medical histories of cholecystectomy,cholecystolithiasis and/or gallbladder polyps and appendectomy(P=0.009,P<0.001 and P<0.001,respectively).The distal colon cancer subgroup included the highest proportions of patients with medical histories of diabetes and hypertension(P<0.001,respectively).Conclusions:The patterns of colorectal cancer observed in this study differ from those reported for Western patients and show a significantly higher proportion of patients with rectal cancer.Different epidemiological features were also found based on anatomic sites.Further studies based on tumor location should be conducted to facilitate more accurate screening and treatment.Ruize Qu Yanpeng Ma Liyuan Tao Xiaoyuan Bao Xin Zhou Bingyan Wang Fei Li Siyi Lu Lin Tuo Siyan Zhan Zhipeng Zhang Wei Fu 2021Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,4:10
9Variation at the transcriptional level among Chinese natural populations of Arabidopsis thaliana in response to cold stress显示文摘The Arabidopsis 25K GeneChip (ATH1, Affymetrix) was used to make a survey of the variation of the transcriptional profiles among 5 Chinese natural populations of Arabidopsis thaliana under cold treatment. In normal growth condition, the expression level of 2.26% (513 genes in the population from Jiujiang, Jiangxi, JXjjx) to 6.52% (1482 genes in the population from Tongliang, Chongqing, CQtlx) genes was 2-fold higher than that of Col ecotype. Under cold treatment, the expression of 12.84% (2920 genes in the population from Chenggu, Shaanxi, SXcgx) to 19.46% (4426 genes in the population from Qinghe, Xinjiang, XJqhx) genes was up- or down-regulated by at least two-fold that of their controls. In general, most of up-regulated genes might be the genes essential for plant surviving at low temperature, such as genes in CBF pathway and the genes responsible for synthesizing molecules accumulated for cold tolerance. However, each natural population had some specific genes induced under cold treatment. The data indicated that some of the cold-responding genes were differentiated among the populations distributed in the natural habitats with different climate conditions. CBF3, one of the key tran-scription factor genes in cold responding pathway, showed significant differences in expression among populations. The sequence analysis indicated that the changes in its regulation region caused the dramatic difference in the expression pattern. 10Receptome profiling identifies KREMEN1 and ASGR1 as alternative functional receptors of SARS-CoV-2显示文摘Host cellular receptors play key roles in the determination of virus tropism and pathogenesis.However,little is known about SARS-CoV-2 host receptors with the exception of ACE2.Furthermore,ACE2 alone cannot explain the multi-organ tropism of SARS-CoV-2 nor the clinical differences between SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV,suggesting the involvement of other receptor(s).Here,we performed genomic receptor profiling to screen 5054 human membrane proteins individually for interaction with the SARS-CoV-2 capsid spike(S)protein.Twelve proteins,including ACE2,ASGR1,and KREMEN1,were identified with diverse S-binding affinities and patterns.ASGR1 or KREMEN1 is sufficient for the entry of SARS-CoV-2 but not SARS-CoV in vitro and in vivo.SARS-CoV-2 utilizes distinct ACE2/ASGR1/KREMEN1(ASK)receptor combinations to enter different cell types,and the expression of ASK together displays a markedly stronger correlation with virus susceptibility than that of any individual receptor at both the cell and tissue levels.The cocktail of ASK-related neutralizing antibodies provides the most substantial blockage of SARS-CoV-2 infection in human lung organoids when compared to individual antibodies.Our study revealed an interacting host receptome of SARS-CoV-2,and identified ASGR1 and KREMEN1 as alternative functional receptors that play essential roles in ACE2-independent virus entry,providing insight into SARS-CoV-2 tropism and pathogenesis,as well as a community resource and potential therapeutic strategies for further COVID-19 investigations.Yunqing Gu Jun Cao Xinyu Zhang Hai Gao Yuyan Wang Jia Wang Juan He Xiaoyi Jiang Jinlan Zhang Guanghui Shen Jie Yang Xichen Zheng Gaowei Hu Yuanfei Zhu Shujuan Du Yunkai Zhu Rong Zhang Jianqing Xu Fei Lan Di Qu Guoliang Xu Yun Zhao Dong Gao Youhua Xie Min Luo Zhigang Lu 2022Cell Research2022,32,1:8
11Autoimmune pancreatitis:report of two cases and literature review显示文摘BACKGROUND:Autoimmune pancreatitis(AIP)is a unique chronic inflammation of the pancreas in which autoimmune mechanisms are involved in the pathogenesis.It is characterized by clinical,histopathological,radiographic,serologic and therapeutic features.Since it was first described in 1995,increasing numbers of AIP patients have been diagnosed.METHODS:In this study,the data from 2 patients with AIP who had elevation of serum immunoglobulin G,positive autoantibody,swelling of the pancreas and narrowing of the main pancreatic duct on imaging were analyzed retrospectively.RESULTS:With the initial diagnosis of AIP,both patients underwent regular prednisone therapy,which was initiated at a dose of 40 mg per day with a tapering schedule of 5 mg every 2 weeks.The patients responded very well to treatment with prednisone.CONCLUSIONS:AIP is a relatively new disease entity.Although it is diagnosed by distinct characteristics of the clinical,radiologic,histopathologic,and serologic findings,many questions require further clarification,including its relationship to other autoimmune diseases and misdiagnosis as pancreaticobiliary malignancies.Sheng, Qin-Song Chen, Da-Zhi Lang, Ren He, Qiang Han, Dong-Dong Pan, Fei Li, Ping Qu, Zhao-Wei 2009Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2009,8,6:8

13A Study of the Rhenium-Osmium Geochronometry of Molybdenites显示文摘This study deals with the first application of the isotope dilution - inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry in the rhenium-osmium geochronometry in China. The chemical separation procedure included decomposition of samples by means of alkali fusion, extraction of rhenium by acetone and extraction of osmium by distillation. The recovery of both elements in the entire process was more than 90% . The blanks of analyses were 0.07 ng for rhenium and 0.01 ng for 187Os. The mineralization ages of molybdenites from four molybdenum deposits in China were determined by using this method, with a precision (2σ)of about ±3% . These results agree satisfactorily with their geological backgrounds. The Re-Os method can directly determine ages of metal deposits and reflect the true ages more reliably than other dating methods that only determine the ages of country rocks from which mineralization ages are inferred. 14Giant hepatobiliary cystadenoma in a male with obvious convex papillate显示文摘Hepatobiliary cystadenoma is an uncommon lesion that is most often found in middle-aged women and difficult to diagnose preoperatively.Here,we report a case of giant hepatobiliary cystadenoma in a male patient with obvious convex papillate.On the basis of imaging examinations,the patient was diagnosed as hepatobiliary cystadenoma prior to operation. 16The Medium Energy X-ray telescope (ME) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Medium Energy X-ray telescope(ME) is one of the three main telescopes on board the Insight hard X-ray modulation telescope(Insight-HXMT) astronomy satellite. ME contains 1728 pixels of Si-PIN detectors sensitive in 5-30 ke V with a total geometrical area of 952 cm^2. The application specific integrated circuit(ASIC) chip, VA32TA6, is used to achieve low power consumption and low readout noise. The collimators define three kinds of field of views(FOVs) for the telescope, 1°×4°, 4°×4°,and blocked ones. Combination of such FOVs can be used to estimate the in-orbit X-ray and particle background components.The energy resolution of ME is ~3 ke V at 17.8 ke V(FWHM) and the time resolution is 255 μs. 18Electrical and optical properties of ZnO:Al films with different hydrogen contents in sputtering gas显示文摘Aluminum-doped zinc oxide(Zn O:Al) films were deposited by direct current magnetron sputtering in incorporating hydrogen in sputtering gas at room temperature. The influences of hydrogen content in sputtering gas on the structural, optical, and electrical properties of Zn O:Al films were systematically investigated. It is found that hydrogen incorporated into Zn O lattice forms shallow donors in Zn O:Al films and plays an important role in the properties of Zn O:Al films. The electrical conductivity and infrared(IR) reflectance are improved due to the increase of electron carrier concentration, and the average transmittance decreases, which is ascribed to the strong scattering from the hydrogen incorporated and oxygen vacancies in Zn O:Al films. In this study,the resistivity of 5.5×10^(-4) Ω·cm is obtained, the average transmittance of the wavelength in the range of 400–900 nm is almost 86%, and the IR reflectance reaches 75% at 2,500 nm,which is higher than that of reported TCO films. The band gap determined by optical absorption is a result of competition between Burstein–Moss effect and many-body perturbation effect. 20Anatomical variation of infra-pyloric artery origination: A prospective multicenter observational study (IPA-Origin)显示文摘Objective: Infra-pyloric artery(IPA) is an important anatomical landmark in treatment of gastric cancer and is the key vessel for pylorus-preserving gastrectomy and subgroup of infra-pyloric lymph nodes. However, its anatomical variation is not thoroughly understood. Our study aimed to clarify the origination of the IPA.Methods: We did this prospective, multicenter, open-label, observational study at gastric surgery departments of34 hospitals in China. Gastric cancer patients aged 18 years or older and scheduled to undergo elective total or distal gastrectomy were assigned. During the surgery, IPA dissecting and exposing the origination point with photographs or video clips were required. The primary outcome was the origination of the IPA. Analysis of variance, χ~2 tests and Fisher's tests were used to analyze the differences between groups. The study is registered at Clinicaltrials.gov(No. NCT03071237).Results: Between May 8 and July 31, 2017, 429 patients were assigned for the study, and 419(97.7%) patients had the IPA dissected and recorded through photograph or video and were included in the primary outcome analysis. The median age was 62 years old, and 73.7% were male. Among the patients, 78.5% received laparoscopic surgery. Single IPA origination was identified in 398(95.0%) patients, including gastroduodenal artery(GDA) in154(36.8%) patients, anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery(ASPDA) in 130(31.0%) patients, and right gastroepiploic artery(RGEA) in 114(27.2%) patients. Fifteen(3.6%) patients were identified with multiple IPA and 6(1.4%) patients were identified as IPA absence. The differences in the distribution of surgical approach(P=0.003) and geographic area(P=0.030) were statistically significant.
