Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. Therefore the observation of Insight-HXMT constitutes an important chapter in the full context of multi-wavelength and multi-messenger observation of this historical GW event. | TiPei Li ShaoLin Xiong ShuangNan Zhang FangJun Lu LiMing Song XueLei Cao Zhi Chang Gang Chen Li Chen TianXiang Chen Yong Chen YiBao Chen YuPeng Chen Wei Cui WeiWei Cui JingKang Deng YongWei Dong YuanYuan Du MinXue Fu GuanHua Gao He Gao Min Gao MingYu Ge YuDong Gu Ju Guan ChengCheng Guo DaWei Han Wei Hu Yue Huang Jia Huo ShuMei Jia LuHua Jiang WeiChun Jiang Jing Jin YongJie Jin Bing Li ChengKui Li Gang Li MaoShun Li Wei Li Xian Li XiaoBo Li XuFang Li YanGuo Li ZiJian Li ZhengWei Li XiaoHua Liang JinYuan Liao CongZhan Liu GuoQing Liu HongWei Liu ShaoZhen Liu XiaoJing Liu Yuan Liu YiNong Liu Bo Lu XueFeng Lu Tao Luo Xiang Ma Bin Meng Yi Nang JianYin Nie Ge OU JinLu Qu Na Sai Liang Sun Yin Tan Lian Tao WenHui Tao YouLi Tuo GuoFeng Wang HuanYu Wang Juan Wang WenShuai Wang YuSa Wang XiangYang Wen BoBing WU Mei Wu GuangCheng Xiao He Xu YuPeng Xu LinLi Yan JiaWei Yang Sheng Yang YanJi Yang AiMei Zhang ChunLei Zhang ChengMo Zhang Fan Zhang HongMei Zhang Juan Zhang Qiang Zhang Shu Zhang Tong Zhang Wei Zhang WanChang Zhang WenZhao Zhang Yi Zhang Yue Zhang YiFei Zhang YongJie Zhang Zhao Zhang ZiLiang Zhang HaiSheng Zhao JianLing Zhao XiaoFan Zhao ShiJie Zheng Yue Zhu YuXuan Zhu ChangLin Zou | 2018 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2018,61,3: | 12
The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. In particular, its wide field monitoring capabilities will be highly instrumental to detect the electro-magnetic counterparts of gravitational wave sources. The paper provides a detailed description of:(1) the technological and technical aspects, and the expected performance of the instruments of the scientific payload;(2) the elements and functions of the mission, from the spacecraft to the ground segment. | ShuangNan Zhang Andrea Santangelo Marco Feroci YuPeng Xu FangJun Lu Yong Chen Hua Feng Shu Zhang Sφren Brandt Margarita Hernanz Luca Baldini Enrico Bozzo Riccardo Campana Alessandra De Rosa YongWei Dong Yuri Evangelista Vladimir Karas Norbert Meidinger Aline Meuris Kirpal Nandra Teng Pan Giovanni Pareschi Piotr Orleanski QiuShi Huang Stephane Schanne Giorgia Sironi Daniele Spiga Jiri Svoboda Gianpiero Tagliaferri Christoph Tenzer Andrea Vacchi Silvia Zane Dave Walton ZhanShan Wang Berend Winter Xin Wu Jean J.M.in't Zand Mahdi Ahangarianabhari Giovanni Ambrosi Filippo Ambrosino Marco Barbera Stefano Basso Jörg Bayer Ronaldo Bellazzini Pierluigi Bellutti Bruna Bertucci Giuseppe Bertuccio Giacomo Borghi XueLei Cao Franck Cadoux Francesco Ceraudo TianXiang Chen Yu Peng Chen Jerome Chevenez Marta Civitani Wei Cui WeiWei Cui Thomas Dauser Ettore Del Monte Sergio Di Cosimo Sebastian Diebold Victor Doroshenko Michal Dovciak YuanYuan Du Lorenzo Ducci QingMei Fan Yannick Favre Fabio Fuschino JoséLuis Ga'lvez Min Gao MingYu Ge Olivier Gevin Marco Grassi QuanYing Gu YuDong Gu DaWei Han Bin Hong Wei Hu Long Ji ShuMei Jia WeiChun Jiang Thomas Kennedy Ingo Kreykenbohm Irfan Kuvvetli Claudio Labanti Luca Latronico Gang Li MaoShun Li Xian Li Wei Li ZhengWei Li Olivier Limousin HongWei Liu XiaoJing Liu Bo Lu Tao Luo Daniele Macera Piero Malcovati Adrian Martindale Malgorzata Michalska Bin Meng Massimo Minuti Alfredo Morbidini Fabio Muleri Stephane Paltani Emanuele Perinati Antonino Picciotto Claudio Piemonte JinLu Qu Alexandre Rachevski Irina Rashevskaya Jerome Rodriguez Thomas Schanz ZhengXiang Shen LiZhi Sheng JiangBo Song LiMing Song Carmelo Sgro Liang Sun Ying Tan Phil Uttley Bo Wang DianLong Wang GuoFeng Wang Juan Wang LangPing Wang YuSa Wang Anna L.Watts XiangYang Wen Jörn Wilms ShaoLin Xiong JiaWei Yang Sheng Yang YanJi Yang Nian Yu WenDa Zhang Gianluigi Zampa Nicola Zampa Andrzej A.Zdziarski AiMei Zhang ChengMo Zhang Fan Zhang Long Zhang Tong Zhang Yi Zhang XiaoLi Zhang ZiLiang Zhang BaoSheng Zhao ShiJie Zheng Yu Peng Zhou Nicola Zorzi J.Frans Zwart | 2019 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2019,62,2: | 11
The Medium Energy X-ray telescope (ME) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Medium Energy X-ray telescope(ME) is one of the three main telescopes on board the Insight hard X-ray modulation telescope(Insight-HXMT) astronomy satellite. ME contains 1728 pixels of Si-PIN detectors sensitive in 5-30 ke V with a total geometrical area of 952 cm^2. The application specific integrated circuit(ASIC) chip, VA32TA6, is used to achieve low power consumption and low readout noise. The collimators define three kinds of field of views(FOVs) for the telescope, 1°×4°, 4°×4°,and blocked ones. Combination of such FOVs can be used to estimate the in-orbit X-ray and particle background components. The energy resolution of ME is ~3 ke V at 17.8 ke V(FWHM) and the time resolution is 255 μs. In this paper, we introduce the design and performance of ME. | XueLei Cao WeiChun Jiang Bin Meng WanChang Zhang Tao Luo Sheng Yang ChunLei Zhang YuDong Gu Liang Sun XiaoJing Liu JiaWei Yang Xian Li Ying Tan ShaoZhen Liu YuanYuan Du FangJun Lu YuPeng Xu Ju Guan ShuangNan Zhang HuanYu Wang TiPei Li ChengMo Zhang XiangYang Wen JinLu Qu LiMing Song XiaoBo Li MingYu Ge YuPeng Zhou ShaoLin Xiong Shu Zhang YongJie Zhang ZeHao Cheng Fei Zhang MaoShun Li XiaoHua Liang Min Gao EnBo Yang XiaoHang Liu HongWei Liu YiJung Yang Fan Zhang | 2020 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,4: | 5
Synthesis and enhanced photocatalytic performance of Ag/AgCl/TiO^(2)nanocomposites prepared by ion exchange method显示文摘Ag/AgCl/TiO^(2)nanocomposite was synthesized through the combination of sol-gel process and hydrothermal(HT)method followed by ion exchange method in the paper.Transmission electron microscope,UVevis absorption property and X-ray diffraction were utilized to characterize the morphology, optical absorption property and phase structure of the as-prepared photocatalysts. The morphological and performance studies of Ag/AgCl/TiO^(2)revealed that a well-interconnected mixed phase heterojunction photocatalyst was achieved through as-prepared TiO^(2)and the subsequent ion exchange method.By the degradation of Rhodamine B under xenon lamp,Ag/AgCl/TiO^(2)exhibited a significant enhancement in photocatalytic activity compared with TiO^(2)and Ag/TiO^(2).The band gap of Ag/AgCl/TiO^(2)can reach to 2.53eV compared with 3.22eV of the prepared TiO^(2).Furthermore,the synthesis process and photoreaction mechanisms of TiO^(2),Ag/TiO^(2)and Ag/AgCl/TiO^(2)photocatalysts were proposed. It demonstrated that the enhancement of photocatalytic was mainly due to the reducing of electron-hole recombination in Ag/AgCl/TiO^(2). | Qionglian Yang Mingyu Hu Jun Guo Zhenhua Ge Jing Feng | 2018 | Journal of Materiomics2018,4,4: | 5
High Energy X-ray Telescope Data Analysis Method显示文摘The science analysis of the data from the High Energy X-ray Telescope(HE) on the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(HXMT) satellite is organized in three stages:calibration, screening and extraction of high-level scientific products. At the first stage, the raw PHA value of each event is converted to PI value accounting for temporal changes in gain and energy offset. At the second stage, the calibrated events are screened by applying cleaning criteria. At the third stage, scientific products,i.e.spectra,light curves and redistribution matrix files, are extracted. This work will introduce the three stages as well as the screening criteria and the data combining method. | ZHAO Haisheng LI Chengkui LI Xiaobo NIE Jianyin GE Mingyu PAN Yuanyue SONG Liming | 2016 | 空间科学学报2016,36,6: | 3

Beneficial Effects of Celastrol on Immune Balance by Modulating Gut Microbiota in Experimental Ulcerative Colitis Mice显示文摘Ulcerative colitis(UC)is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease caused by many factors including colonic inflammation and microbiota dysbiosis.Previous studies have indicated that celastrol(CSR)has strong anti-inflammatory and immune-inhibitory effects. Here,we investigated the effects of CSR on colonic inflammation and mucosal immunity in an experimental colitis model, and addressed the mechanism by which CSR exerts the protective effects. We characterized the therapeutic effects and the potential mechanism of CSR on treating UC using histological staining, intestinal permeability assay, cytokine assay, flow cytometry, fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT),16S rRNA sequencing, untargeted metabolomics, and cell differentiation.CSR administration significantly ameliorated the dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)-induced colitis in mice, which was evidenced by the recovered body weight and colon length as well as the decreased disease activity index(DAI)score and intestinal permeability.Meanwhile,CSR down-regulated the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and up-regulated the amount of anti-inflammatory mediators at both mRNA and protein levels, and improved the balances of Treg/Th1 and Treg/Th17 to maintain the colonic immune homeostasis.Notably, all the therapeutic effects were exerted in a gut microbiota-dependent manner.Furthermore,CSR treatment increased the gut microbiota diversity and changed the compositions of the gut microbiota and metabolites, which is probably associated with the gut microbiota-mediated protective effects. In conclusion, this study provides the strong evidence that CSR may be a promising therapeutic drug for UC. | Mingyue Li Weina Guo Yalan Dong Wenzhu Wang Chunxia Tian Zili Zhang Ting Yu Haifeng Zhou Yang Gui Kaming Xue Junyi Li Feng Jiang Alexey Sarapultsev Huafang Wang Ge Zhang Shanshan Luo Heng Fan Desheng Hu | 2022 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022,20,2: | 1
Significant contribution of carbonyls to atmospheric oxidation capacity(AOC)during the winter haze pollution over North China Plain显示文摘Atmospheric carbonyl compounds play significant roles in the cycling of radicals and have exhibited surprisingly high levels in winter that were well correlated to particulate matter, for which the reason have not been clearly elucidated. Here we measured carbonyl compounds and other trace gasses together with PM_(2.5)over urban Jinan in North China Plain during the winter.Markedly higher carbonyl concentrations(average:14.63±4.21 ppbv)were found during wintertime haze pollution, about one to three-times relative to those on nonhaze days, with slight difference in chemical composition except formaldehyde(HCHO).HCHO(3.68 ppbv),acetone(3.17 ppbv),and acetaldehyde(CH_3CHO)(2.83 ppbv)were the three most abundant species, accounting for~75% of the total carbonylson both haze and non-haze days. Results from observational-based model(OBM)with atmospheric oxidation capacity(AOC)indicated that AOC significantly increased with the increasing carbonyls during the winter haze events.Carbonyl photolysis have supplied key oxidants such as RO_(2) and HO_(2),and thereby enhancing the formation of fine particles and secondary organic aerosols, elucidating the observed haze-carbonyls inter-correlation.Diurnal variation with carbonyls exhibiting peak values at early-noon and night highlighted the combined contribution of both secondary formation and primary diesel-fuel sources.1-butene was further confirmed to be the major precursor for HCHO.This study confirms the great contribution of carbonyls to AOC,and also suggests that reducing the emissions of carbonyls would be an effective way to mitigate haze pollution in urban area of the NCP region. | Xue Yang Gen Zhang Guang Pan Guolan Fan Houyong Zhang Xuan Ge Mingyue Du | 2024 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,5: | 0
Dependence of Tropical Cyclone Intensification on the Latitude under Vertical Shear显示文摘The sensitivity of tropical cyclone(TC) intensification to the ambient rotation effect under vertical shear is investigated. The results show that the vortices develop more rapidly with intermediate planetary vorticity, which suggests an optimal latitude for the TC development in the presence of vertical shear. This is different from the previous studies in which no mean flow is considered. It is found that the ambient rotation has two main effects. On the one hand, the boundary layer imbalance is largely controlled by the Coriolis parameter. For TCs at lower latitudes, due to the weaker inertial instability, the boundary inflow is promptly established, which results in a stronger moisture convergence and thus greater diabatic heating in the inner core region. On the other hand, the Coriolis parameter modulates the vertical realignment of the vortex with a higher Coriolis parameter, favoring a quicker vertical realignment and thus a greater potential for TC development. The combination of these two effects results in an optimal latitude for TC intensification in the presence of a vertical shear investigated. | Mingyu BI Xuyang GE Tim LI | 2018 | Journal of Meteorological Research2018,32,1: | 0
Kisspeptin regulates gonadotropin-releasing hormone secretion in gonadotropin-releasing hormone/enhanced green fluorescent protein transgenic rats显示文摘Kisspeptin is essential for activation of the hypothalamo-pituitary-gonadal axis. In this study, we established gonadotropin-releasing hormone/enhanced green fluorescent protein transgenic rats. Rats were injected with 1, 10, or 100 pM kisspeptin-10, a peptide derived from full-length kisspeptin, into the arcuate nucleus and medial preoptic area, and with the kisspeptin antagonist peptide 234 into the lateral cerebral ventricle. The results of immunohistochemical staining revealed that pulsatile luteinizing hormone secretion was suppressed after injection of antagonist peptide 234 into the lateral cerebral ventricle, and a significant increase in luteinizing hormone level was observed after kisspeptin-10 injection into the arcuate nucleus and medial preoptic area. The results of an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay showed that luteinizing hormone levels during the first hour of kisspeptin-10 infusion into the arcuate nucleus were significantly greater in the 100 pM kisspeptin-10 group than in the 10 pM kisspeptin-10 group. These findings indicate that kisspeptin directly promotes gonadotropin-releasing hormone secretion and luteinizing hormone release in gonadotropin-releasing hormone/enhanced green fluorescent protein transgenic rats. The arcuate nucleus is a key component of the kisspeptin-G protein-coupled receptor 54 signaling pathway underlying regulating luteinizing hormone pulse secretion. | Haogang Xue Chunying Yang Xiaodong Ge Weiqi Sun Chun Li Mingyu Qi | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,2: | 0
Ultrasensitive determination of mercury by solution anode glow discharge atomic emission spectrometry coupled with hydride generation显示文摘An innovative method for the ultrasensitive detection of mercury by solution anode glow discharge atomic emission spectroscopy(SAGD-AES) coupled with hydride generation(HG) was first investigated. In this method, the mercury vapor generated by the HG was transmitted to the SAGD through the miniature hollow tungsten tube for excitation and detected by a miniaturized spectrograph.A thorough parametric evaluation of the HG and SAGD system was performed, including the type and concentration of ca rrier acid,He flow rate, concentrations of NaBH4,discha rge current and discharge gap.Under optimal operating conditions, the detection limit for Hg^(2+) achieved 0.03 μg/L,with a relative standard deviation of 1.1% at the Hg^(2+) concentration of 5 μg/L.Moreover,the correlation coefficient of the calibration curve was 0.9996 in the range between 0.1 and 10 μg/L.The accuracy and practicability of HG-SAGD-AES were verified by measuring GBW09101 b(human hair),GBW10029(fish),soil and rice samples. The results showed good agreement with the certified values and values from direct mercury analyzer(DMA). | Mingli Yuan Xiaoxu Peng Fen Ge Mingyue Zhao Qing Li Zheng Wang | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10: | 0
Micro-coevolution of host genetics with gut microbiome in three Chinese ethnic groups显示文摘Understanding the micro-coevolution of the human gut microbiome with host genetics is challenging but essential in both evolutionary and medical studies. To gain insight into the interactions between host genetic variation and the gut microbiome,we analyzed both the human genome and gut microbiome collected from a cohort of 190 students in the same boarding college and representing 3 ethnic groups,Uyghur,Kazakh, and Han Chinese. We found that differences in gut microbiome were greater between genetically distinct ethnic groups than those genetically closely related ones in taxonomic composition, functional composition, enterotype stratification, and microbiome genetic differentiation. We also observed considerable correlations between host genetic variants and the abundance of a subset of gut microbial species.Notably, interactions between gut microbiome species and host genetic variants might have coordinated effects on specific human phenotypes.Bacteroides ovatus, previously reported to modulate intestinal immunity,is significantly correlated with the host genetic variant rs12899811(meta-P=5.55×10^(-5)),which regulates the VPS33B expression in the colon, acting as a tumor suppressor of colorectal cancer. These results advance our understanding of the micro-coevolution of the human gut microbiome and their interactive effects with host genetic variation on phenotypic diversity. | Mingyue Cheng Xueling Ge Chaofang Zhong Ruiqing Fu Kang Ning Shuhua Xu | 2021 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,11: | 0
In-orbit performance of LE onboard Insight-HXMT in the first 5 years显示文摘Purpose The low-energy X-ray telescope(LE)is a main instrument of the Insight-HXMT mission and consists of 96 swept charge devices covering the 1–10 keV energy band. The energy gain and resolution are continuously calibrated by analyzing Cassiopeia A(Cas A)and blank sky data, while the effective areas are also calibrated with the observations of the Crab Nebula. In this paper,we present the evolution of the in-orbit performances of LE in the first 5 years since launch. Methods The Insight-HXMT data analysis software package(HXMTDAS)is utilized to extract the spectra of Cas A,blank sky,and Crab Nebula using different good time interval selections. We fit a model with a power-law continuum and several Gaussian lines to different ranges of Cas A and blank sky spectra to get peak energies of their lines through xspec. After updating the energy gain calibration in CALibration DataBase(CALDB),we rerun the Cas A data to obtain the energy resolution. An empirical function is used to modify the simulated effective areas so that the background-subtracted spectrum of the Crab Nebula can best match the standard model of the Crab Nebula. Results The energy gain, resolution, and effective areas are calibrated every month. The corresponding calibration results are duly updated in CALDB,which can be downloaded and used for the analysis of Insight-HXMT data.Simultaneous observations with NuSTAR and NICER can also be used to verify our derived results. Conclusion LE is a well-calibrated X-ray telescope working in 1–10 keV band. The uncertainty of LE gain is less than 20eV in 2–9 keV band, and the uncertainty of LE resolution is less than 15eV.The systematic errors of LE,compared to the model of the Crab Nebula, are lower than 1.5%in 1–10 keV. | Xiaobo Li Yong Chen Liming Song Weiwei Cui Wei Li Juan Wang Shuang-Nan Zhang Fangjun Lu Yupeng Xu Haisheng Zhao Mingyu Ge Youli Tuo Yusa Wang Tianxiang Chen Dawei Han Jia Huo Yanji Yang Maoshun Li Ziliang Zhang Yuxuan Zhu Xiaofan Zhao | 2023 | Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2023,7,1: | 0
| 14 | Dense matter with eXTP显示文摘In this White Paper we present the potential of the Enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry(eXTP) mission for determining the nature of dense matter; neutron star cores host an extreme density regime which cannot be replicated in a terrestrial laboratory. The tightest statistical constraints on the dense matter equation of state will come from pulse profile modelling of accretion-powered pulsars, burst oscillation sources, and rotation-powered pulsars. Additional constraints will derive from spin measurements, burst spectra, and properties of the accretion flows in the vicinity of the neutron star.
