1Effect of Process Parameters of Microwave Assisted Extraction (MAE) on Polysaccharides Yield from Pumpkin显示文摘Process parameters of microwave assisted extraction (MAE) of the polysaccharides from pumpkin viz. extraction temperature, time and liquid-solid ratio were studied by using single factor and response surface methodology method. The results showed that the liquid-solid ratio was the most important factor in polysaccharides yield, followed by extraction time, and the extraction temperature was the least important factor. The optimum microwave assisted extraction conditions for the highest polysaccharides yield from pumpkin (16.76%±0.38%) were obtained by using the response surface methodology with extraction time of 29 min, an extraction temperature of 79℃ and a liquid-solid ratio of 22 mL · g-1. 2Selective enforcement of regulation显示文摘Regulatory agencies may,whether outside of set rules or within their discretion,depart from the original goals or principles set for enforcing the rules,which we term selective enforcement.Taking China,a country in transition,as an example,and using cases and large-sample tests,we present empirical evidence of selective enforcement.The results show that the China Securities Regulatory Commission(CSRC) takes into account whether companies violating the rules have a state-owned background and the strength of that background when investigating and punishing non-compliance.After controlling for the degree of violation,state-owned-enterprises(SOEs) are punished less severely than private companies;and the higher the hierarchy of the SOE in question,the less severe the punishment.It also takes longer for SOEs to be punished.We also find that companies that violate the rules less seriously have a greater tendency to apply for refinancing than those that violate the rules more seriously.This may be because the severity of the violation can affect listed companies' expectations of obtaining refinancing.The analysis and conclusions of this study prove useful in understanding the causes and consequences of selective enforcement in transition economies.Donghua Chen Dequan Jiang Shangkun Liang Fangping Wang 2011China Journal of Accounting Research2011,,Z1:10
3QTLs for Rice Leaf Chlorophyll Content Under Low N Stress显示文摘Quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for chlorophyll content of a rice leaf were mapped on to the molecular marker linkage nutrient solution and soil culture experiments to detect rice nitrogen nutrition status under low N stress. A chlorophyll meter was used to measure the soil plant analysis development (SPAD) value of the topmost fully expanded leaf as the index of chlorophyll content that expressed nitrogen status in rice plants. Totally 3 QTLs for SPAD values, two on chromosome 3 located at interval RG179-CDO337 and RG348-RZ329, respectively, and one on chromosome 10 at interval RZ500-RG134, were detected under stressed conditions of low N in the soil and/or nutrient solution culture experiments.One QTL located at interval RG179-CDO337 on chromosome 3 associated with a relative change in SPAD value from a high N level to a low N level in the soil culture experiment was also detected. 4Diversity of root-associated fungi of Vaccinium mandarinorum along a human disturbance gradient in subtropical forests,China显示文摘Aims Ericaceous plant species can host diverse fungi in their roots,including ericoid mycorrhizal fungi(ERMF),endophytes,pathogens and some species with unknown functions.However,how this diversity of fungi responds to different human disturbances is not well understood.Methods In this study,we examined the effects of different human disturbance on fungal diversity in hair roots of Vaccinium mandarinorum,an ericaceous plant.Fungal DNA was extracted from hair roots of V.mandarinorum and high-throughput sequencing was applied to detect the diversity of root-associated fungi along a human disturbance gradient in subtropical forests in Gutianshan National Nature Reserve(GNNR)in East China.The four forest types with different disturbance regime were:old growth forest(OGF),secondary forest with once cut(SEC I),secondary forest with twice cut(SEC II)and Cunninghamia lanceolata plantation(PLF).Important Findings The results showed that:(i)diverse fungal operational units(OTUs)were detected in hair roots of V.mandarinorum in the four types of forests,covering fungal phyla of Ascomycota,Basidiomycota,Chytridiomycota,Glomeromycota and Zygomycota;(ii)Community composition of root-associated fungi of V.mandarinorum in PLF was distinct from those in the other three forest types,and two types of secondary forests had similar fungal community composition;(iii)Different fungal families respond differently to human disturbances:fungal families with significant preference to OGF were ectomycorrhizal or saprophytic fungi while fungal families with higher relative abundance in PLF were plant pathogenic or saprophytic fungi;(iv)The first principal component(PC1)of plant community had a significant effect on composition of root-associated fungal community,while edaphic parameters showed no significant effect on fungal community composition in roots of V.mandarinorum.Our results help to better understand the responses of both ericaceous plants and their fungal partners to human disturbances and forest managements.Yanhua Zhang Jian Ni Fangping Tang Lifen Jiang Tianrong Guo Kequan Pei Lifu Sun Yu Liang 2017Journal of Plant Ecology2017,10,1:6
5Dynamic Hand Gesture Recognition Based on Short-Term Sampling Neural Networks显示文摘Hand gestures are a natural way for human-robot interaction.Vision based dynamic hand gesture recognition has become a hot research topic due to its various applications.This paper presents a novel deep learning network for hand gesture recognition.The network integrates several well-proved modules together to learn both short-term and long-term features from video inputs and meanwhile avoid intensive computation.To learn short-term features,each video input is segmented into a fixed number of frame groups.A frame is randomly selected from each group and represented as an RGB image as well as an optical flow snapshot.These two entities are fused and fed into a convolutional neural network(Conv Net)for feature extraction.The Conv Nets for all groups share parameters.To learn longterm features,outputs from all Conv Nets are fed into a long short-term memory(LSTM)network,by which a final classification result is predicted.The new model has been tested with two popular hand gesture datasets,namely the Jester dataset and Nvidia dataset.Comparing with other models,our model produced very competitive results.The robustness of the new model has also been proved with an augmented dataset with enhanced diversity of hand gestures.Wenjin Zhang Jiacun Wang Fangping Lan 2021IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,1:5
6Realizing high low-electric-field energy storage performance in AgNbO_(3) ceramics by introducing relaxor behaviour显示文摘Both sustainable development in environment and safety of high-power systems require to develop a novel lead-free dielectric capacitor with high energy density(Wrec)at low applied electric field.In this work,a remarkably high Wrec of 2.9 J/cm^(3) accompanying with energy storage efficiency of 56% was achieved in Ag_(0.9)Sr_(0.05)NbO_(3) ceramic at a low applied electric field of 190 kV/cm,by improving antiferroelectricity and introducing relaxor behaviour.The improved anti-ferroelectric stability was attributed to the decreased tolerance factor and average electronegativity difference,while the relaxor behaviour was associated with the increased disordered local structure by Sr-doping.Moreover,the Ag_(0.9)Sr_(0.05)NbO_(3) ceramics also exhibited outstanding temperature stability in energy density with small variation less than 5% over 20-140℃.The results indicate that the Ag_(0.9)Sr_(0.05)NbO_(3) ceramic is a promising candidate for low-electric-field driving capacitors.Kai Han Nengneng Luo Shuaifei Mao Fangping Zhuo Xiyong Chen Laijun Liu Changzheng Hu Huanfu Zhou Xinpeng Wang Yuezhou Wei 2019Journal of Materiomics2019,5,4:5

9Preparation of a Novel Acid Doped Polyaniline Adsorbent for Removal of Anionic Pollutant from Wastewater显示文摘Polyaniline(PANI) was one of the most extensively studied adsorbents due to its low cost and good environmental stability. The objective of the current study was to improve the selective capabilities of PANI for anionic dyes. We found that the acid doped PANI prepared with hydrochloric acid and p-toluenesulfonic acid(PTSA) could selectively adsorb anionic dyes. It exhibited very good selectivity for OG dye, the mechanism was proposed based on the chemical interaction of PANI with the sulfonate group of the dyes. The effects of solution p H, initial dye concentration, and different HCl/PTSA mole ratios on the adsorption capacity of OG have been investigated. Kinetic simulations indicated that the adsorption process could be well represented by pseudo-second-order kinetic plots. The isothermal adsorption curve fitting also showed that the adsorption process could be well described by the Langmuir isothermal equation. 10Carbonaceous matter in glacier at the headwaters of the Yangtze River:Concentration,sources and fractionation during the melting process显示文摘Carbonaceous matter has an important impact on glacial retreat in the Tibetan Plateau,further affecting the water resource supply.However,the related studies on carbonaceous matter are still scarce in Geladaindong(GLDD)region,the source of the Yangtze River.Therefore,the concentration,source and variations of carbonaceous matter at Ganglongjiama(GLJM)glacier in GLDD region were investigated during the melting period in 2017,which could deepen our understanding on carbonaceous matter contribution to glacier melting.The results showed that dissolved organic carbon(DOC)concentration of snowpit samples(283±200μg/L)was much lower than that of precipitation samples(624±361μg/L),indicating that large parts of DOC could be rapidly leached from the snowpit during the melting process.In contrast,refractory black carbon(rBC)concentration measured by Single Particle Soot Photometer of snowpit samples(4.27±3.15μg/L)was much higher than that of precipitation samples(0.97±0.49μg/L).Similarly,DOC with high mass absorption cross-section measured at 365 nm value was also likely to enrich in snowpit during the melting process.In addition,it was found that both r BC and DOC with high light-absorbing ability began to leach from the snowpit when melting process became stronger.Therefore,rBC and DOC with high light-absorbing ability exhibited similar behavior during the melting process.Based on relationship among DOC,rBC and K^+ in precipitation,the main source of carbonaceous matter in GLJM glacier was biomass burning during the study period.Zhaofu Hu Shichang Kang Xiaobo He Fangping Yan Yulan Zhang Pengfei Chen Xiaofei Li Shaopeng Gao Chaoliu Li 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,1:3
11Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for patients with acute leukemia显示文摘Objective: The purposes of this study were to assess the efficacy of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) for acute leukemia (AL) and analyze the factors affecting the prognosis of these patients. Methods: The clinical and follow-up data of 93 AL patients (median age, 30 years) undergoing allogeneic HSCT in Xiangya Hospital over the past 12 years were collected, and the potential factors affecting the efficacy and prognosis of allogeneic HSCT patients were determined. Results: Hematopoietic reconstitution was achieved in 90 patients. At the last follow-up, the incidences of severe acute graft versus host disease (aGvHD) and extensive chronic GvHD (cGvHD) were 14.0% and 20.0%, the 3-year cumulative incidence of transplantation related mortality (TRM) and relapse rate were 16.8%±6.1% and 21.3%±6.7%, and the estimated 3-year overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) of the patients were 64.6%±5.4% and 56.5%±5.5%, respectively. Univariate analysis indicated that age older than 40 years, HLA mismatch, and severe lung infection within the first 100 days after transplantation were risk factors for severe aGvHD, age older than 40 years, HLA mismatch, severe lung infection within the first 100 days after transplantation, and severe aGvHD were risk factors for TRM, high-risk AL and lack of cGvHD were risk factors for relapse (all P<0.05). Survival estimation showed that HLA mismatch, severe lung infection occurring within the first 100 days post-transplantation, high-risk AL severe aGvHD and lack of cGvHD were risk factors associated with poor prognosis (all P<0.05). Further multivariate analyses revealed that severe lung infection within the first 100 days post-transplantation, severe aGvHD and lack of cGvHD were independent risk factors for unfavorable outcomes (all P<0.05). 13Methylesterification of cell-wall pectin controls the diurnal flower-opening times in rice显示文摘Flowers are the core reproductive organ of plants, and flowering is essential for cross-pollination. Diurnal flower-opening time is thus a key trait influencing reproductive isolation, hybrid breeding, and thermostability in plants. However, the molecular mechanisms controlling this trait remain unknown. Here, we report that rice Diurnal Flower Opening Time 1 (DFOT1) modulates pectin methylesterase (PME) activity to regulate pectin methylesterification levels of the lodicule cell walls, which affect lodicule swelling to control diurnal flower-opening time. DFOT1 is specifically expressed in the lodicules, and its expression gradually increases with the approach to flowering but decreases with flowering. Importantly, a knockout of DFOT1 showed earlier diurnal flower opening. We demonstrate that DFOT1 interacts directly with multiple PMEs to promote their activity. Knockout of PME40 also resulted in early diurnal flower opening, whereas overexpression of PME42 delayed diurnal flower opening. Lower PME activity was observed to be associated with higher levels of pectin methylesterification and the softening of cell walls in lodicules, which contribute to the absorption of water by lodicules and cause them to swell, thus promoting early diurnal flower opening. Higher PME activity had the opposite effect. 14GyrA and ParC Gene Mutation of Clinically Isolated Fluoroquinolones-resistant Strain of Salmonella显示文摘Nine strains resistant to five fluoroquinolones (Ciprofloxacin, Ofloxacin, Enrofloxacin, Danofloxacin, Sarafloxacin) were isolated from clinical samples and extracted the chromosomal DNA of these strains. Designed primers to amplify the Quinolone-resistance-determining region (QRDR) of gyrA and parC, then the PCR products were sequenced and analyzed. In comparision with NCTC5776, a single mutation was found at base 371 in gyrA of strain 38 which changed from C to T, and a single mutation was found at base 350 in gyrA of strain 60 which changed from A to C. No mutation was found in gyrA of the rest. The mutation of strain 38 led to an amino acid substitution of Arg99Cys and the mutation of 60 led to an amino acid substitution of Met 92 Leu. No mutation was found in parC QRDR of all the isolates. 18DNA barcoding of Antarctic marine zooplankton for species identification and recognition显示文摘Polar zooplankton are particularly sensitive to climate change, and have been used as rapid-responders to indicate climate-induced changes in the fragile Antarctic ecosystem. DNA barcoding provides an alternative approach for rapid zooplankton species identification. Ninety-four specimens belonging to 32 Antarctic zooplankton species were barcoded to construct a comprehensive reference library. An 830 to 1 050 base-pair region of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (mtCOI) gene was obtained as DNA barcodes. The intraspecific variation of the gene ranged from 0 to 2.6% (p-distance), with an average of 0.67% (SD=0.67%). The distance between species within the same genera ranged from 0.1% (Calanus) to 29.3%, with an average of 15.3% (SD=8.4%). The morphological and genetic similarities between Calanus propinquus and C. simillimus raise new questions about the taxonomic status of C. simillimus. With the exception of the two Calanus species, the intraspecific genetic divergence was much smaller than the interspecific divergence among congeneric species, confirming the existence of a barcode gap for Antarctic zooplankton. In addition, species other than Calanus sp. formed a monophyletic group. Therefore, we have confirmed DNA barcoding as an accurate and efficient approach for zooplankton identification in the Antarctic area (except for Hydromedusa, Tunicata, and other gelatinous zooplankton). Indicator vector analysis further confirmed this conclusion. 19Preparation,Rheological Properties and Primary Cytocompatibility of TPU/PLA Blends as Biomedical Materials显示文摘A polymer blends containing thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU) and poly(lactic acid)(PLA) as a biomedical material were prepared by a process of modifying thermally induced phase separation(MTIPS) and melt blending.The influences of composition,shear frequency,and temperature on the rheological behaviors of the blends were investigated by small amplitude oscillatory shear rheology.The results revealed that the addition of TPU into PLA significantly decreased the non-Newtonian index of the blends,and increased the sensitivity of the blends on shear rate,suggesting that optimization of the shear rate and temperature could improve the flowability of the blend melts in the extrusion process.In addition,the results of SEM images revealed that TPU distributed well into PLA matrix and showed good compatibility between the TPU and PLA,which made the blends with good toughness.The primary cytocompatibility of the blends was evaluated using C2C12 cells.The results suggested that the TPU/PLA blends did not affect cell growth,showing no cytotoxicity.In short,the TPU/PLA blends with excellent toughness had potential application as biomedical devices.洪华 YANG Lili YUAN Yuan QU Xue CHEN Fangping 魏杰 刘昌胜 2016Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2016,31,1:2
20Synergy effects of Asperosaponin Ⅵ and bioactive factor BMP-2 on osteogenesis and anti-osteoclastogenesis显示文摘Osteoporosis is a reduction in skeletal mass due to the decrease of osteogenic ability and the activation of the osteoclastic function.Inhibiting bone resorption and accelerating the new bone formation is a promising strategy to repair the bone defect of osteoporosis.In this study,we first systematically investigated the roles of Chinese medicine Asperosaponin Ⅵ(ASP Ⅵ)on osteogenic mineralization of BMSCs and osteoclastogenesis of BMMs,and then explored the synergistic effect of ASP Ⅵ and BS(BMP-2 immobilized in 2-N,6-O-sulfated chitosan)on bone formation.The result showed that ASP Ⅵ with the concentration lower than 10^(-4) M contributed to the expression of osteogenic gene and inhibited osteoclastic genes RANKL of BMSCs.Simultaneously,ASP Ⅵ significantly reduced the differentiation of mononuclear osteoclasts in the process of osteoclast formation induced by M-CSF and RANKL.Furthermore,by stimulating the SMADs,TGF-β1,VEGFA,and OPG/RANKL signaling pathways,ASBS(ASP Ⅵ and BS)substantially enhanced osteogenesis,greatly promoted angiogenesis,and suppressed osteoclastogenesis.The findings provide a new perspective on osteoporosis care and prevention.Fangping Chen Qing Liang Lijie Mao Yanrong Yin b Lixin Zhang Cuidi Li Changsheng Liu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,4:2
