| 1 | Estimation of visceral fat is useful for the diagnosis of significant fibrosis in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease显示文摘BACKGROUND Obesity is a risk factor for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),although obese patients with NAFLD do not always develop significant fibrosis.The distribution of body fat could predict the risk of NAFLD progression.AIM To investigate the role of bioelectrical impedance-estimated visceral fat(VF)in assessing NAFLD severity.METHODS In this cross-sectional study,patients with biopsy-proven NAFLD were prospectively included.All patients underwent anthropometric evaluation,blood tests and bioelectrical impedance analysis.RESULTS Between 2017 and 2020,119 patients were included[66.4%male,56 years(SD 10.7),62.2%obese,61.3%with metabolic syndrome].Sixty of them(50.4%)showed significant fibrosis(≥F2)in liver biopsy.Age,VF and metabolic syndrome were associated with significant fibrosis(61 years vs 52 years,16.4 vs 13.1,73.3%vs 49.2%,respectively;P<0.001 for all).In the multivariate analysis,VF and age were independently associated with significant fibrosis(VF,OR:1.11,95%CI:1.02-1.22,P=0.02;age,OR:1.08,95%CI:1.03-1.12,P<0.01).A model including these variables showed and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUROC)of 0.75,which was not inferior to transient elastography or NAFLD fibrosis score AUROCs.We developed a nomogram including age and VF for assessing significant fibrosis in routine practice.CONCLUSION VF is a surrogate marker of liver fibrosis in patients with NAFLD.Bioelectrical impedance analysis is an inexpensive and simple method that can be combined with age to guide patient referral when other resources may be unavailable. | Marta Hernández-Conde Elba Llop Carlos Fernández Carrillo Beatriz Tormo Javier Abad Luis Rodriguez Christie Perelló Marta López Gomez JoséLuis Martínez-Porras Natalia Fernández Puga Maria Trapero-Marugan Enrique Fraga Carlos Ferre Aracil JoséLuis Calleja Panero | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020，26，42： | 2 |

| 18 | Contributions to data transmission at critical moments on unmanned aerial vehicles显示文摘As for unmanned aircraft, the knowledge of the aircraft performance is directly related with the navigation, guidance, and control system programming. Therefore, the measured data in each phase of the flight must be sufficiently precise to obtain a good characterization of aircraft.This article proposes new methods of sending information to ground, which make it possible to know the aircraft behavior accurately, and for this purpose, four contributions have been made for ALO(Avión Ligero de Observación, Spanish acronym for Light Observation Aircraft). Currently, the characterization is based on data obtained at ten samples per second, insufficient to acquire detailed knowledge of what happened during the whole flight of an aircraft. As a result of these contributions, many more samples per second of accelerations and angular velocities are obtained at the most critical moments of the flight, such as takeoff or landing. | 20 | Patients with cardiac disease: Changes observed through last decade in out-patient clinics显示文摘AIM: To describe current profile of patients with cardio-vascular disease(CVD) and assessing changes through last decade.METHODS: Comparison of patients with established CVD from two similar cross-sectional registries performed in 1999(n = 6194) and 2009(n = 4639).The types of CVD were coronary heart disease(CHD),heart failure(HF) and atrial fibrillation(AF).Patients were collected from outpatient clinics.Investigators were 80% cardiologist and 20% primary care practitioners.Clinical antecedents,major diagnosis,blood test results and medical treatments were collected from all patients.RESULTS: An increase in all risk factors,except for smoking,was observed;a 54.4% relative increase in BP control was noted.CHD was the most prevalent CVD but HF and AF increased significantly,41.5% and 33.7%,respectively.A significant reduction in serum lipid levels was observed.The use of statins increased by 141.1% as did all cardiovascular treatments.Moreover,the use of angiotensin-renin system inhibitors in patients with HF,beta-blockers in CHD patients or oral anticoagulants in AF patients increased by 83.0%,80.3% and 156.0%,respectively(P < 0.01).CONCLUSION: The prevalence of all cardiovascular risk factors has increased in patients with CVD through last decade.HF and AF have experienced the largest increases. | Alberto Cordero Vicente Bertomeu-Martínez Pilar Mazón Lorenzo Fácila Juan Cosín Vicente Bertomeu-González Moisés Rodriguez Eva Andrés Enrique Galve Iaki Lekuona Jose R González-Juanatey | 2013 | World Journal of Cardiology2013，5，8： | 0 |
