1Mongolian spots:How important are they?显示文摘Mongolian spots(MS) are congenital birthmarks seen most commonly over the lumbosacral area. They are bluish-green to black in color and oval to irregular in shape. They are most commonly found in individuals of African or Asian ethnic background. Although these lesions resolve by one to two years of age, widespread, extrasacral and dark colored MS sometimes persist into adulthood. Aberrant MS over occiput, temple, mandibular area, shoulders and limbs may be confused with other dermal melanocytoses and bruises secondary to child abuse, thus necessitating documentation at birth. Although traditionally believed to be benign in nature, they have now been shown to co-exist with inborn errors of metabolism, most commonly GM1 gangliosidosis and mucopolysaccharidosis type Ⅰ(Hurler's disease), followed by mucopolysaccharidosis type Ⅱ(Hunter's syndrome), mucolipidosis, Niemann-Pick disease and mannosidosis. They have also been seen to co-exist with various vascular or other pigmented birthmarks like café-au-lait macules. Co-existing Mongolian spots and vascular birthmarks like nevus flammeus, nevus anemicus or nevus spilus is termed as phakomatosis pigmentovascularis. 2Global histone post-translational modifications and cancer:Biomarkers for diagnosis,prognosis and treatment?显示文摘Global alterations in epigenetic landscape are now recognized as a hallmark of cancer. Epigenetic mechanismssuch as DNA methylation,histone modifications,nucleosome positioning and non-coding RNAs are proven to have strong association with cancer. In particular,covalent post-translational modifications of histone proteins are known to play an important role in chromatin remodeling and thereby in regulation of gene expression. Further,histone modifications have also been associated with different aspects of carcinogenesis and have been studied for their role in the better management of cancer patients. 3Pediatric vs adult pulmonary tuberculosis:A retrospective computed tomography study显示文摘AIM: To compare the manifestations of chest tuberculosis(TB) in pediatric and adult patients based on contrast enhanced computed tomography of chest.METHODS: This was a retrospective study consisting of 152 patients of chest TB including 48 children and 104 adults who had undergone contrast enhanced computed tomography of chest prior to treatment. The patterns and severity of parenchymal, mediastinal and pleural manifestations were analyzed and compared among different age groups.RESULTS: Parenchymal changes observed include consolidation, air space nodules, miliary TB, cavitation, bronchiectasis and fibrosis and these were noted in 60% of children, 71% of adolescents and 76.9% of adults. These changes were more common in right upper lobe in all age groups. There was no significant difference in the frequency of these changes(except nodules) in different age groups. Centrilobular nodules were seen less commonly in children less than 10 years(P = 0.028). Pleural effusion was noted in 28(18.42%) patients and pericardial effusion in 8(5.3%) patients. No significant difference in the serosal involvement is seen among children and adults. Mediastinal adenopathy was seen 70% of children, 76.3% adolescents and 76.9% of adults and paratracheal nodes were seen most frequently. Nodes had similar features(except matting) among all age groups. Matting of nodes was seen more commonly in children(P = 0.014). CONCLUSION: Pediatric chest tuberculosis can have severe parenchymal lesions and nodal involvement similar to adults. 5Fault Pattern Diagnosis and Classification in Sensor Nodes Using Fall Curve显示文摘The rapid expansion of Internet of Things(IoT)devices deploys various sensors in different applications like homes,cities and offices.IoT applications depend upon the accuracy of sensor data.So,it is necessary to predict faults in the sensor and isolate their cause.A novel primitive technique named fall curve is presented in this paper which characterizes sensor faults.This technique identifies the faulty sensor and determines the correct working of the sensor.Different sources of sensor faults are explained in detail whereas various faults that occurred in sensor nodes available in IoT devices are also presented in tabular form.Fault prediction in digital and analog sensors along with methods of sensor fault prediction are described.There are several advantages and disadvantages of sensor fault prediction methods and the fall curve technique.So,some solutions are provided to overcome the limitations of the fall curve technique.In this paper,a bibliometric analysis is carried out to visually analyze 63 papers fetched from the Scopus database for the past five years.Its novelty is to predict a fault before its occurrence by looking at the fall curve.The sensing of current flow in devices is important to prevent a major loss.So,the fall curves of ACS712 current sensors configured on different devices are drawn for predicting faulty or non-faulty devices.The analysis result proved that if any of the current sensors gets faulty,then the fall curve will differ and the value will immediately drop to zero.Various evaluation metrics for fault prediction are also described in this paper.At last,this paper also addresses some possible open research issues which are important to deal with false IoT sensor data.Mudita Uppal Deepali Gupta Divya Anand Fahd S.Alharithi Jasem Almotiri Arturo Mansilla Dinesh Singh Nitin Goyal 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,7:1

15Nanomagnet-facilitated pharmaco-compatibility for cancer diagnostics:Underlying risks and the emergence of ultrasmall nanomagnets显示文摘Cancer therapy is a fast-emerging biomedical paradigm that elevates the diagnostic and therapeutic potential of a nanovector for identification,monitoring,targeting,and post-treatment response analysis.Nanovectors of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles(SPION)are of tremendous significance in cancer therapy because of their inherited high surface area,high reactivity,biocompatibility,superior contrast,and magnetic and photo-inducibility properties.In addition to a brief introduction,we summarize various progressive aspects of nanomagnets pertaining to their production with an emphasis on sustainable biomimetic approaches.Post-synthesis particulate and surface alterations in terms of pharmaco-affinity,liquid accessibility,and biocompatibility to facilitate cancer therapy are highlighted.SPION parameters including particle contrast,core-fusions,surface area,reactivity,photosensitivity,photodynamics,and photothermal properties,which facilitate diverse cancer diagnostics,are discussed.We also elaborate on the concept of magnetism to selectively focus chemotherapeutics on tumors,cell sorting,purification of bioentities,and elimination of toxins.Finally,while addressing the toxicity of nanomaterials,the advent of ultrasmall nanomagnets as a healthier alternative with superior properties and compatible cellular interactions is reviewed.In summary,these discussions spotlight the versatility and integration of multitasking nanomagnets and ultrasmall nanomagnets for diverse cancer theragnostics.Divya S.Parimi Yamini Gupta Sreekar Marpu Chandra S.Bhatt Tharun K.Bollu Anil K.Suresh 2022Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2022,12,3:0

17Small bowel adenocarcinoma:An overview显示文摘Small bowel adenocarcinoma(SBA)is a rare malignancy of the gastrointestinal tract.However,these tumors are among those with worst prognosis.Vague clinical signs and symptoms and radiological diagnostic challenges often delay treatment,which negatively impacts the prognosis of the patients.However,recent advances in imaging technology,like multidetector computed tomography,magnetic resonance imaging,and capsule endoscopy,have made earlier and accurate diagnosis possible.Surgery is the treatment of choice followed by adjuvant therapy.However,there are no strict treatment guidelines available for the management of SBA.Most of the available evidence from colorectal and gastric carcinoma has been extrapolated to adequately manage SBA.Prognosis for SBA is better than gastric carcinoma but worse than colorectal carcinoma.Currently,there is not enough information on the molecular characteristics and tumor pathogenesis.Because the incidence of SBA is very low,there is a need for further studies to evaluate the possible application of newer investigative agents and strategies to obtain a better outcome within the framework of international collaborations.Divya Khosla Treshita Dey Renu Madan Rahul Gupta Shikha Goyal Narendra Kumar Rakesh Kapoor 2022World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2022,14,2:0

19A Secure and Efficient Signature Scheme for IoT in Healthcare显示文摘To provide faster access to the treatment of patients,healthcare system can be integrated with Internet of Things to provide prior and timely health services to the patient.There is a huge limitation in the sensing layer as the IoT devices here have low computational power,limited storage and less battery life.So,this huge amount of data needs to be stored on the cloud.The information and the data sensed by these devices is made accessible on the internet from where medical staff,doctors,relatives and family members can access this information.This helps in improving the treatment as well as getting faster medical assistance,tracking of routine activities and health focus of elderly people on frequent basis.However,the data transmission from IoT devices to the cloud faces many security challenges and is vulnerable to different security and privacy threats during the transmission path.The purpose of this research is to design a Certificateless Secured Signature Scheme that will provide a magnificent amount of security during the transmission of data.Certificateless signature,that removes the intricate certificate management and key escrow problem,is one of the practical methods to provide data integrity and identity authentication for the IoT.Experimental result shows that the proposed scheme performs better than the existing certificateless signature schemes in terms of computational cost,encryption and decryption time.This scheme is the best combination of high security and cost efficiency and is further suitable for the resource constrained IoT environment.Latika Kakkar Deepali Gupta Sarvesh Tanwar Sapna Saxena Khalid Alsubhi Divya Anand Irene Delgado Noya Nitin Goyal 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,12:0
