1Programmed death-1 upregulation is correlated with dysfunction of tumor-infiltrating CD8^(+ ) T lymphocytes in human non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘T-cell tolerance is an important mechanism for tumor escape,but the molecular pathways involved in T-cell tolerance remain poorly understood.It remains unknown whether the inhibitory immunoreceptor programmed death-1(PD-1)plays a role in conditions of human non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).In this study,we detected PD-1 expression on CD81 T cells from healthy control peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)and the PBMCs of NSCLC patients as well as NSCLC tissues.Results showed that tumor-infiltrating CD81 T cells had increased PD-1 expression and impaired immune function,including reducing cytokine production capability and impairing capacity to proliferate.Blockade of the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway by the PD-L1-specific antibody partially restored cytokine production and cell proliferation.These data provide direct evidence that the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway is involved in CD81 T-cell dysfunction in NSCLC patients.Moreover,blocking this pathway provides a potential therapy target in lung cancer.Yan Zhang Shengdong Huang Dejun Gong Yanghua Qin Qian Shen 2010Cellular & Molecular Immunology2010,7,5:48
2Status and distribution changes of the endangered Green Peafowl (Pavo muticus) in China over the past three decades (1990s-2017)显示文摘Background: Understanding the changes in population dynamics, including demographics, distribution and threats, is essential for species status assessing. The endangered Green Peafowl(Pavo muticus) has experienced sharp population declines and distribution range diminishing both in China and Southeast Asia. Field population surveys have not been conducted in China since the 1990 s, which hindered conservation planning and decision-making.Methods: With interview and line transects methods, we figured out the population and distribution changes of Green Peafowl across its historical ranges over the past three decades in China during 2014-2017.Results: The Green Peafowl once habituated in 54 counties in China. Nearly 60% of the distribution counties were lost in the past three decades, with the left 22 counties distributed in central, southern and western Yunnan, SW China. Population decrease detected in all distribution areas except for Shuangbai and Xinping county where more than 60% of the total population is located. Only about 30% of the former bird population were recorded with the same interviewing method as 20 years ago. Three birds, 1 carcass, 6 calls and 12 footprints were detected along the 865 km line transects, indic-ating extremely low encounter rate of Green Peafowl in field. Sharp decreases in flock sizes were also detected, from 820 birds per flock in the 1990 s to 3-5 birds at present. Poaching and habitat conversion are two widespread and long-lasting threats, while poisoning caused mortality in the past and hydropower construction affect regional population's survival. Large flocks of 18–27 birds were discovered in the field, which increases our confidence of population recovery of this endangered pheasant in China.Conclusions: Only interviewed bird number and counts based on line transects were presented in this study, without further population estimation due to limitation of the data sets. 3Improving friction stir weldability of Al/Mg alloys via ultrasonically diminishing pin adhesion显示文摘Formation of intermetallic compounds(IMCs) during friction stir welding(FSW) of aluminum/magnesium(Al/Mg) alloys easily results in the pin adhesion and then deteriorates joint formation. The severe pin adhesion transformed the tapered-and-screwed pin into a tapered pin at a low welding speed of 30 mm/min. The pin adhesion problem was solved with the help of ultrasonic.The weldability of Al/Mg alloys was significantly improved due to the good material flow induced by mechanical vibration and the fragments of the IMCs on the surface of a rotating pin caused by acoustic streaming, respectively. A sound joint with ultrasonic contained long Al/Mg interface joining length and complex mixture of Al/Mg alloys in the stir zone, thereby achieving perfect metallurgical bonding and mechanical interlocking. The ultrasonic could broaden process window and then improve tensile properties. 4The mechanism underlying overwintering death in poplar:the cumulative effect of effective freeze-thaw damage显示文摘We analyzed the relationships linking overwintering death and frost cracking to temperature and sunlight as well as the effects of low temperatures and freeze–thaw cycles on bud-burst rates,relative electrical conductivity,and phloem and cambial ultrastructures of poplar.Overwintering death rates of poplar were not correlated with negative accumulated temperature or winter minimum temperature.Freeze–thaw cycles caused more bud damage than constant exposure to low temperatures.Resistance to freeze–thaw cycles differed among clones,and the budburst rate decreased with increasing exposure to freeze–thaw cycles.Cold-resistant clones had the lowest relative electrical conductivity.Chloroplasts exhibited the fastest and the most obvious reaction to freeze–thaw damage,whereas a single freeze–thaw cycle caused little damage to cambium ultrastructure.Several such cycles resulted in damage to plasma membranes,severe damage to organelles,dehydration of cells and cell death.We conclude that overwintering death of poplar is mainly attributed to the accumulation of effective freeze–thaw damage beyond the limits of freeze–thaw resistance.Chengchao Yang Jiandong Peng Xiaoyu Li Dejun Liang Zhiyan Yang Yan Zhang 2020Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,1:4

6Prussian blue and collagen loaded chitosan nanofibers with NIR-controlled NO release and photothermal activities for wound healing显示文摘Nitric oxide(NO)has emerged as a potential wound therapeutic agent due to its pivotal role in the wound healing processes.Nevertheless,NO-based therapy for clinical applications is still restricted due to its gaseous state and short half-life.Here we exploited a wound dressing by incorporating sodium nitroprusside doped prussian blue nanoparticals and Type I collagen into the chitosan/poly(vinyl alcohol)nanofibers through the electrospinning method.This hybrid nanofibrous scaffold possess the excellent abilities of NIR controlled NO release,photothermal therapy,and imitation of extra-cellular matrix-like architecture.These synergistic effects could enhance their anti-bactericidal effects in vitro and furthermore accelerate wound healing in vivo when compared to control groups.Histological analysis demonstrated the scaffold could promote fibroblast growth and accelerate epithelialization.Moreover,no apparent histological toxicology and negligible damage to major organs were observed,which provided sufficient biosafety for in vivo application.These data indicate the fabricated hybrid nanofibrous scaffold could be used as an ideal candidate for accelerating wound healing and treating chronic wounds.Wenyu Wang Dejun Ding Kunpeng Zhou Man Zhang Weifen Zhang Fang Yan Ni Cheng 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,34:1

8Effect of potassium carbonate on catalytic synthesis of calcium carbide at moderate temperature显示文摘Calcium carbide was successfully synthesized by carbothermal reduction of lime with coke at 1973 K for 1.5 h.The effect of potassium carbonate as additive on the composition and morphology of the product was investi-gated using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope.Addition of potassium carbonate increased the yield of calcium carbide.The sample in the presence of potassium carbonate generated acetylene gas of 168.3 L/kg,which was 10%higher than that in the absence of potassium carbonate.This result confirmed the catalytic effect of potassium carbonate on the synthesis of calcium carbide.A possible mechanism of the above effects was that the additive,which was melted at the reduction temperature,dissolved CaO and so promoted the contact between CaO and carbon,which was essential for the solid-solid reaction to form calcium carbide.Dejun SHI Ke QIAO Zifeng YAN 2011Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2011,5,3:1
9The importance of proleptic branch traits in biomass production of poplar in high-density plantations显示文摘Branch phenotypic traits determine tree crown architecture,which in turn governs leaf display,light interception,and biomass production.Sylleptic and proleptic branches are the obviously different branch phenotypes in the poplar crown.Many studies have focused on the influence of sylleptic branch numbers(SBN)on biomass production,but the research on the influence of proleptic branch phenotypes was only a few.To explore the relationship between proleptic branch traits and biomass generation production in a high-density poplar plantation,we investigated the branch phenotypic traits of three poplar genotypes,all of which have high survival rates in forests(>95%)and significantly different crown architecture and biomass performance in the high-density plantations(1667 stems ha−1).The plantation site was established in 2007.A terrestrial laser scanner was used to measure branch characteristics such as length,angle of origin and termination,and azi-muth angle.A hierarchical cluster analysis performed on branch characteristics showed that SBN,crown depth,and proleptic branch curvature(PBC)were clustered with bio-mass production and leaf area index(LAI).Among all of the monitored traits,PBC played the second most important role in biomass production after SBN and was significantly correlated with SBN,LAI,and biomass production.The positive correlation between PBC and SBN indicated that a larger PBC was associated with more sylleptic branches within the monitored genotypes planted in the high-density plantation,providing greater leaf area and biomass produc-tion.The results of this study will improve the identification of high-production poplar varieties for cultivation in high-density plantations for biofuel production.Changjun Ding Ningning Wang Qinjun Huang Weixi Zhang Juan Huang Suli Yan Boyi Chen Dejun Liang Yufeng Dong Yingbai Shen Xiaohua Su 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,2:1

12High temperature induced masculinization of zebrafish by down-regulation of sox9b and esr1 via DNA methylation显示文摘Elevated temperature could influence the sex differentiation by altering the expression of sex-related genes in fish.However, the underlying mechanisms by which the gene expression is altered remain poorly understood.Here, we aimed to explore the role of DNA methylation in sex differentiation of zebrafish(Danio rerio) in response to elevated temperature.The results showed that high temperature(33℃) exposure of fish from 20 to 30 days post fertilization(dpf), compared to normal temperature(28℃), resulted in male-biased sex ratio and decreased expression of female-related genes including cyp19a1a, sox9b and esr1.Meanwhile, the expressions of DNA methyltransferases dnmt3a1 and dnmt3a2, and the DNA methylation levels in sox9b and esr1 promoter were significantly increased by high temperature, strongly implying that DNA methylation is involved in high temperature-induced masculinization of zebrafish.Co-treatment with 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine(a DNA methylation inhibitor) attenuated the high temperature-induced masculinizing effect, recovered the expression of esr1 and sox9b, suppressed the transcription of dnmt3a1 and dnmt3a2, and decreased the methylation of esr1 and sox9b promoter, further confirming that DNA methylation plays an important role in high temperature-induced masculinization of zebrafish.Furthermore, the methylation of sox9b promoter decreased the enrichment of transcription factor CREB(cAMP-responsive element binding proteins).Overall, these findings suggest that high temperature induce masculinization of zebrafish by down-regulation of femalerelated genes via DNA methylation, providing a new insight in understanding the epigenetic mechanism of thermal-mediated sex differentiation in fish.Jiangyuan Han Yan Hu Yongmei Qi Cong Yuan Sajid Naeem Dejun Huang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,9:1
13Biological traits and life history of Pagiophloeus tsushimanus(Coleoptera:Curculionidae),a weevil pest on camphor trees in China显示文摘Cinnamomum camphora(L.)J.Presl.(Laurales:Lauraceae)is widely cultivated as an important landscape tree species in many urban areas in South China,especially in Shanghai City.Pagiophloeus tsushimanus Morimoto has become a destructive insect pest of C.camphora plantations in Shanghai,but the biological and ecological traits of this pest remain largely unknown.In this study,we investigated the damage and life history and determined the larval instar of P.tsushimanus.The results indicated that P.tsushimanus is a monophagous weevil pest,and C.camphora is the unique host tree species.C.camphora plantations in all administrative districts of Shanghai have been seriously damaged by P.tsushimanus.Adults often aggregate for feeding on the tender bark of twigs and occasionally on newly emerged buds.After experiencing damage,the twigs shrink and crack and the buds will shrink.Adults tend to repeatedly mate and oviposit,and all females lay single eggs at a time.Eggs will be covered with a mixture of secretions and wood chips by female adults.Larvae(1 st-2 nd instar)feed on the phloem,while 3 rd-5 th instar can bore into the phloem and the cambium.Massive tunnels,including three shapes(inverted'L',inverted'T',and inverted'Z'),were observed in the trunk of each tree,and resulted in swelling of the outer bark.P.tsushimanus has one life cycle per year in Shanghai.Both adults and larvae(3 rd-5 th instar)overwinter from early November to early April.Adults overwinter in grooves on the underside of branches or at branch nodes,and larvae overwinter in tunnels.Five larval instars of P.tsushimanus were determined according to Dyar’s and Crosby’s rules.The biological traits and life history of P.tsushimanus have been identified and can provide guidance in terms of pest control and plantation management.Cong Chen Congcong Zhang Shouyin Li Han Zhu Binqi Fan Yan Wang Peng Su Yangyang Han Dejun Hao 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,5:0
14Effect of Annealing Temperature on CrN Microspheres Synthesized by CAP Technology显示文摘CrN microspheres were synthesized by using a cathodic arc plasma source system. The obtained samples were annealed in air at temperatures of 300-800 ℃ for 60 min. The influence of annealing temperature on the microstructure and surface morphology of the CrN microspheres was investigated. The CrN microspheres were characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. The results show that the CrN nanoparticles arranged into leaf-like structures before annealing. With the rising of the annealing temperature, the size of CrN crystal nanoparticals became larger. When the annealing temperature exceeded the oxidation point(500 ℃), the CrN was oxidized and the leaf-like structure was broken. 16A Novel Multilevel Index Model for Distributed Service Repositories显示文摘This study, based on the theory of equivalence relations, proposes a novel multilevel index model for decentralized service repositories to eliminate redundant information and enhance the time-management quality of the service retrieval process of the service repository architecture. An efficient resource discovery algorithm based on Discrete Hash Tables is presented to enable efficient and effective retrieval services among different distributed repositories. The performance of the proposed model and the supporting algorithms have been evaluated in a distributed environment. 17Experimental research on vibrating objects and its radiation field by using nearfield acoustic holography显示文摘In this paper, the nearfield acoustic holography (NAH) imaging system for airborne sound constructed in our own laboratory is presented. Using the system we have measured the mode of vibration and radiation field of a single loudspeaker, two loudspeakers and an unbaffled disk, and gotten interesting results. 18Excess PbI_(2)evolution for triple-cation based perovskite solar cells with 21.9%efficiency显示文摘The triple cation mixed perovskites(Cs FAMA)are known as one of the most efficient candidates for perovskite solar cells(PSCs).It is found that the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of triple-cation based devices would increase with the test time extending,and the maximum efficiency is normally obtained after several days aging storage.Here,the relationship between enhanced device performance,excess PbI_(2)and its evolution in triple cation perovskite films of initial days was systematically explored.The Cs FAMA-PSCs are prepared by two-step methods under two environmental conditions,including in the glove box and the ambient air(30%humidity).After 7 days testing,the maximum PCE of PSCs under two conditions dramatically increased 12.4%and 12.2%,reached 21.68%and 21.89%,respectively.At initial days,the XRD peak intensities of perovskite phase gradually decreased and those corresponding to PbI_(2)increased.Along with time-resolved photoluminescence(TRPL)and kelvin probe force microscopy(KPFM),it was found that the defects were passivated with the evolution of PbI_(2).This work reveals the excess PbI_(2)and its evolution in perovskite film,which can further supplement the understanding of PbI_(2)defect passivation.Zhu Ma Dejun Huang Qianyu Liu Guangyuan Yan Zheng Xiao Dong Chen Jiaxuan Zhao Yan Xiang Changtao Peng Haijin Li Meng Zhang Wenfeng Zhang Lianfeng Duan Yuelong Huang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,3:0

20Growth of ablative Rayleigh-Taylor instability induced by time-varying heat-flux perturbation显示文摘The evolution of ablative Rayleigh–Taylor instability(ARTI)induced by single-mode stationary and time-varying perturbations in heat flux is studied numerically in two dimensions.Compared with the stationary case,time-varying heat-flux perturbation mitigates ARTI growth because of the enhanced thermal smoothing induced by the wave-like traveling heat flux.A resonance is found to form when the phase velocity of the heat-flux perturbation matches the average sound speed in the ablation region.In the resonant regime,the coherent density and temperature fluctuations enhance the electron thermal conduction in the ablation region and lead to larger ablation pressure and effective acceleration,which consequently yield higher linear growth rate and saturated bubble velocity.The enhanced effective acceleration offers increased implosion velocity but can also compromise the integrity of inertial confinement fusion shells by causing faster ARTI growth.Yang Liu De-Hua Zhang Jing-Fei Xin Yudong Pu Jun Li Tao Tao Dejun Sun Rui Yan Jian Zheng 2024Matter and Radiation at Extremes2024,9,1:0
