2Tool Life and Surface Integrity in High-speed Milling of Titanium Alloy TA15 with PCD/PCBN Tools显示文摘Titanium alloys are widely used in aeronautics that demand a good combination of high strength, good corrosion resistance and low mass. The mechanical properties lead to challenges in machining operations such as high process temperature as well as rapidly increasing tool wear. The conventional tool materials are not able to maintain their hardness and other mechanical properties at higher cutting temperatures encountered in high speed machining. In this work, the new material tools, which are polycrystalline diamond (PCD) and polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN) tools, are used in high-speed milling of Ti-6.5Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V (TA15) alloy. The performance and wear mechanism of the tools are investigated. Compared to PCBN tool, PCD tool has a much longer tool life, especially at higher cutting speeds. Analyses based on the SEM and EDX suggest that attrition, adhesion and diffusion are the main wear mechanisms of PCD and PCBN tools in high-speed milling of TA15. Oxidation wear is also observed at PCBN tool/workpiece interface. Roughness, defects, micro-hardness and microstructure of the machined surface are investigated. The recorded surface roughness values with PCD/PCBN tools are bellow 0.3 μm at initial and steady cutting stage. Micro-hardness analysis shows that the machined surface hardening depth with PCD and PCBN tools is small. There is no evidence of sub-surface defects with PCD and PCBN tools. 4Relationship between Cognition Function and Hippocampus Structure after Long-term Microwave Exposure显示文摘Objective To analyze the effects of long-term microwave exposure on hippocampal structure and function in the rat.Methods Experiments were performed on 184 male Wistar rats(three exposure groups and a sham group).Microwaves were applied daily for 6 min over 1 month at average power densities of 2.5,5,and 10 mW/cm2.Learning and memory abilities were assessed by Morris water maze.High performance liquid chromatography was used to detect neurotransmitter concentrations in the hippocampus.Hippocampal structures were observed by histopathological analysis.Results Following long-term microwave exposure there was a significant decrease in learning and memory activity in the 7 d,14 d,and 1 m in all three microwave exposure groups.Neurotransmitter concentrations of four amino acids(glutamate,aspartic acid,glycine,and gamma-aminobutyric acid) in hippocampus were increased in the 2.5 and 5 mW/cm2 groups and decreased in the 10 mW/cm2 group.There was evidence of neuronal degeneration and enlarged perivascular spaces in the hippocampus in the microwave exposure groups.Further,mitochondria became swollen and cristae were disordered.The rough endoplasmic reticulum exhibited sacculated distension and there was a decrease in the quantity of synaptic vesicles.Conclusion These data suggest that the hippocampus can be injured by long-term microwave exposure,which might result in impairment of cognitive function due to neurotransmitter disruption.ZHAO Li PENG Rui Yun WANG Shui Ming WANG Li Feng GAO Ya Bing DONG Ji LI Xiang SU Zhen Tao 2012Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,2:27

9Study on early warning index of spatial deformation for high concrete dam显示文摘Owing to the deficiency in early warning for high concrete dam,a formula was established to characterize the deformation behavior of high concrete dam as a whole.The early warning index of spatial deformation was calculated by low probability principle on the basis of the deformation entropy formula proposed.The steps were as follows.Firstly,the probability method was utilized to define the degree of order and degree of chaos for each survey point.Secondly,the weight distribution among the survey points was calculated by projection pursuit analysis.Thirdly,the formula of holistic deformation entropy,which can represent the degree of order of high concrete dam,was established on the basis of synergetics and information entropy.Lastly,the early warning index of deformation entropy was computed by low probability method based on series of calculated deformation entropy values.An example showed that the dynamic property of deformation entropy is in accordance with both environmental variables and deflection deformation.Moreover,deformation entropy can be used to improve warning ability and safety management for high concrete dam.LEI Peng CHANG XiaoLin XIAO Feng ZHANG GuiJin SU HuaiZhi 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,6:23
10Case History of the Disastrous Debris Flows of Tianmo Watershed in Bomi County, Tibet, China: Some Mitigation Suggestions显示文摘Debris flows and landslides, extensively developing and frequently occurring along Parlung Zangbo, seriously damage the Highway from Sichuan to Tiebt(G318) at Bomi County. The disastrous debris flows of the Tianmo Watershed on Sept. 4, 2007, July 25, 2010 and Sept. 4, 2010, blocked Parlung Zangbo River and produced dammed lakes, whose outburst flow made 50 m high terrace collapse at the opposite bank due to intense scouring on the foot of the terrace. As a result, the traffic was interrupted for 16 days in 2010 because that 900 m highway base was destructed and 430 m ruined. These debris flows were initiated by the glacial melting which was induced by continuous higher temperature and the following intensive rainfall, and expanded by moraines along channels and then blocked Parlung Zangbo. At the outlet of watershed,the density, velocity and peak discharge of debris flow was 2.06 t/m3, 12.7 m/s and 3334 m3/s, respectively. When the discharge at the outlet and the deposition volume into river exceeds 2125 m3/s and 126×103 m3, respectively, debris flow will completely blocked Parlung Zangbo. Moreover,if the shear stress of river flow on the foot of terrace and the inclination angel of terrace overruns 0. 377 N/m2 and 26°, respectively, the unconsolidated terrace will be eroded by outburst flow and collapse. 11Isolation,characterization,and phylogenic analysis of three new severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome bunyavirus strains derived from Hubei Province,China显示文摘Hubei Province is a major epidemic area of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome bunyavirus(SFTSV) in China. However, to date, a few SFTSV strains have been isolated from Hubei Province, preventing effective studies of epidemic outbreaks. Here, we report three confirmed patients(2015–2016) with typical symptoms of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome disease(SFTS) who were farmers resident in different regions in Hubei Province. Three new SFTSV strains were isolated from the serum samples of each patient. Characterization of viral growth properties showed that there were no significant differences in virus production. All strains were completely sequenced, and phylogenetic analysis showed that unlike the other strains from Hubei province, which belonged to the SFTSV C3 genotype, one of the three strains belonged to the SFTSV C2 genotype. 12Characteristics and triggering mechanism of Xinmo landslide on 24 June 2017 in Sichuan, China显示文摘At 5: 39 AM on 24 June 2017, a huge landslide-debris avalanche occurred on Fugui Mountain at Xinmo village, Diexi town, Maoxian county, Sichuan province, China. The debris blocked the Songpinggou River for about 2 km, resulting in a heavy loss of both human lives and properties(10 deaths, 3 injuries, 73 missing, and 103 houses completely destroyed). The objectives of this paper are to understand the overall process and triggering factors of this landslide and to explore the affecting factors for its long term evolution before failure. Post event surveys were carried out the day after the landslide occurrence. Information was gathered from literature and on-site investigation and measurement. Topography, landforms, lithology, geological setting, earthquake history, meteorological and hydrological data of the area were analysed. Aerial photographs and other remote sensing information were used for evaluation and discussion. Eye witnesses also provided a lot of helpful information for us to understand the process of initiation, development and deposition. The depositional characteristics of the moving material as well as the traces of the movement,the structural features of the main scarp and the seismic waves induced by the slide are presented and discussed in detail in this paper. The results show that the mechanism of the landslide is a sudden rupture of the main block caused by the instability of a secondary block at a higher position. After the initiation, the failed rock mass at higher position overloaded the main block at the lower elevation and collapsed in tandem. Fragmentation of the rock mass occurred later, thus forming a debris avalanche with high mobility. 13Short-term outcomes of overlapped delta-shaped anastomosis, an innovative intracorporeal anastomosis technique, in totally laparoscopic colectomy for colon cancer显示文摘AIM To introduce an innovative intracorporeal anastomosis technique named overlapped delta-shaped anastomosis(ODA)for colon cancer cases undergoing totally laparoscopic colectomy(TLC)and to assess its feasibility and safety. METHODS From January 2016 to March 2017,a total of 20consecutive patients with colon cancer accepted TLC and the ODA technique at our medical center.Patient demographics,operative outcomes,perioperative complications,and pathological results were collected and analyzed. RESULTS We successfully completed TLC and the ODA procedure in all 20 cases,including 6(30%)males and 14(70%)females.In total,11(55%),2(10%),and 7(35%)cases accepted right hemicolectomy,transverse hemicolectomy,and left hemicolectomy,respectively.None of the surgeries were converted to an open operation.Mean operative time was 178.5 min,and mean estimated blood loss was 58.5 m L.Mean time to first flatus was 2.5 d,and mean postoperative hospitalization duration was 6.8 d.No severe complications occurred,such as anastomotic leakage,snastomotic stenosis,anastomotic bleeding,and wound infection,except for one case who suffered from an abdominal infection and another case who suffered from gastric paralysis syndrome.Tumor recurrence was not observed in any patient during the follow-up period. 14Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of Portland Cement Concrete Prepared with Coral Reef Sand显示文摘The feasibility of using coral reef sand(CRS) in Portland cement concrete is investigated by testing the mechanical property and microstructure of concrete. The composition, structure and properties of the CRS are analyzed. Mechanical properties and microstructure of concrete with CRS are studied and compared to concrete with natural river sand. The relationship between the microstructure and performance of CRS concrete is established. The CRS has a porous surface with high water intake capacity, which contributes to the mechanical properties of concrete. The interfacial transition zone between the cement paste and CRS is densified compared to normal concrete with river sand. Hydration products form in the pore space of CRS and interlock with the matrix of cement paste, which increases the strength. The total porosity of concrete prepared with CRS is higher than that with natural sand. 16UAV feasible path planning based on disturbed fluid and trajectory propagation显示文摘In this paper, a novel algorithm based on disturbed fluid and trajectory propagation is developed to solve the three-dimensional(3-D) path planning problem of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) in static environment.Firstly, inspired by the phenomenon of streamlines avoiding obstacles, the algorithm based on disturbed fluid is developed and broadened.The effect of obstacles on original fluid field is quantified by the perturbation matrix, where the tangential matrix is first introduced.By modifying the original flow field, the modified one is then obtained, where the streamlines can be regarded as planned paths.And the path proves to avoid all obstacles smoothly and swiftly, follow the shape of obstacles effectively and reach the destination eventually.Then, by considering the kinematics and dynamics equations of UAV, the method called trajectory propagation is adopted to judge the feasibility of the path.If the planned path is unfeasible, repulsive and tangential parameters in the perturbation matrix will be adjusted adaptively based on the resolved state variables of UAV.In most cases, a flyable path can be obtained eventually.Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of this method.Yao Peng Wang Honglun Su Zikang 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,4:18
17Collagen type Ⅱ suppresses articular chondrocyte hypertrophy and osteoarthritis progression by promoting integrin β1-SMAD1 interaction显示文摘Hypertrophic differentiation is not only the terminal process of endochondral ossification in the growth plate but is also an important pathological change in osteoarthritic cartilage.Collagen type II(COL2A1)was previously considered to be only a structural component of the cartilage matrix,but recently,it has been revealed to be an extracellular signaling molecule that can significantly suppress chondrocyte hypertrophy.However,the mechanisms by which COL2A1 regulates hypertrophic differentiation remain unclear.In our study,a Col2a1 p.Gly1170Ser mutant mouse model was constructed,and Col2a1 loss was demonstrated in homozygotes.Loss of Col2a1 was found to accelerate chondrocyte hypertrophy through the bone morphogenetic protein(BMP)-SMAD1 pathway.Upon interacting with COL2A1,integrinβ1(ITGB1),the major receptor for COL2A1,competed with BMP receptors for binding to SMAD1 and then inhibited SMAD1 activation and nuclear import.COL2A1 could also activate ITGB1-induced ERK1/2 phosphorylation and,through ERK1/2-SMAD1 interaction,it further repressed SMAD1 activation,thus inhibiting BMP-SMAD1-mediated chondrocyte hypertrophy.Moreover,COL2A1 expression was downregulated,while chondrocyte hypertrophic markers and BMP-SMAD1 signaling activity were upregulated in degenerative human articular cartilage.Our study reveals novel mechanisms for the inhibition of chondrocyte hypertrophy by COL2A1 and suggests that the degradation and decrease in COL2A1 might initiate and promote osteoarthritis progression.Chengjie Lian Xudong Wang Xianjian Qiu Zizhao Wu Bo Gao Lei Liu Guoyan Liang Hang Zhou Xiaoming Yang Yan Peng Anjing Liang Caixia Xu Dongsheng Huang Peiqiang Su 2019Bone Research2019,7,1:17
18Treatment and outcomes of 1041 pediatric patients with neuroblastoma who received multidisciplinary care in China显示文摘Importance:Neuroblastoma is the most common extracranial malignant solid tumor in children.Multidisciplinary care is critical to improving the survival of pediatric patients with neuroblastoma.Objective:To systematically summarize the clinical characteristics of children with neuroblastoma and evaluate their prognosis with multidisciplinary care provided in a single center.Methods:This retrospective study analyzed the clinical data of 1041 patients with neuroblastoma who were diagnosed,treated,and followed-up in the Hematology-Oncology Center of Beijing Children’s Hospital from 2007 to 2019.Results:The median age at diagnosis was 34 months;80.8%of the patients were younger than 5 years of age.Notably,243 patients(23.3%)were classified as low-risk,249 patients(23.9%)were classified as intermediate-risk,and 549(52.7%)were classified as high-risk.Furthermore,956 patients underwent surgical resections;986(94.7%)patients received chemotherapy;and 176 patients with high-risk neuroblastoma received hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.The 5-year event-free survival(EFS)rate was 91.3%and 5-year overall survival(OS)rate was 97.5%in low-risk group;in the intermediate-risk group,these rates were 85.1%and 96.7%,respectively,while they were 37.7%and 48.9%in the high-risk group(P<0.001 for both).The 5-year EFS and OS rates were significantly higher in patients diagnosed between 2015 and 2019 than in patients diagnosed between 2007 and 2014(P<0.001).In total,278 patients(26.7%)exhibited tumor relapse or progression;the median interval until relapse or progression was 14 months.Of the 233 patients who died,83%died of relapse or progression of neuroblastoma and 4.3%died of therapy-related complications.Interpretation:The 5-year OS rate was low in high-risk patients,compared with low-and intermediate-risk patients.Multidisciplinary care is critical for improvement of survival in pediatric patients with neuroblastoma.Additional treatment strategies should be sought to improve the prognosis of patients with high-risk neuroblastoma.Yan Su Hong Qin Chenghao Chen Shengcai Wang Shihan Zhang Dawei Zhang Mei Jin Yun Peng Lejian He Xiaoman Wang Suyun Qian Maoquan Qin Ming Ge Fuquan Zhang Qi Zeng Huanmin Wang Xiaoli Ma Xin Ni 2020Pediatric Investigation2020,4,3:16

20Study on the HPHT synthetic diamond crystal from Fe-C(H) system and its significance显示文摘Investigations of crystal habit, micro-topographic imaging, micro-composition and micro-structural analysis of HPHT synthetic diamonds from the Fe-C(H) system indicate that most of them have an oc-tahedral habit. The crystals grow mainly layer-to-layer from center to periphery. HPHT synthetic dia-mond is smaller in size than natural diamond because it only goes through nucleation and growth in the early stage. In the middle and late stages, due to the coalescence of diamond grains related to dif-ferences of surface energy, the growth of HPHT synthetic diamond is limited. The active energy (E) of transforming single nitrogen into a nitrogen-pair is lowered and the time of transforming single nitro-gen into a nitrogen-pair is shortened because of the existence of hydrogen. Therefore, aggregate ni-trogen (A-centers) may exist in synthetic diamond from HPHT and explosive detonation processes. It needs further discussion on a worldwide view that the time of natural diamond formation extracted from nitrogen aggregation is some hundred million years. Consideration of the way in which surface energy influences the growth of diamond can help to understand some of the remaining issues (e.g. growth mechanism, etc.) in the HPHT synthetic process and effectively explain the formation of natural diamond in terms of HPHT thermodynamic theory.
