3D printing of bone tissue engineering scaffolds显示文摘Tissue engineering is promising in realizing successful treatments of human body tissue loss that current methods cannot treat well or achieve satisfactory clinical outcomes. In scaffold-based bone tissue engineering,a high performance scaffold underpins the success of a bone tissue engineering strategy and a major direction in the field is to produce bone tissue engineering scaffolds with desirable shape, structural, physical, chemical and biological features for enhanced biological performance and for regenerating complex bone tissues.Three-dimensional(3D)printing can produce customized scaffolds that are highly desirable for bone tissue engineering. The enormous interest in 3D printing and 3D printed objects by the science, engineering and medical communities has led to various developments of the 3D printing technology and wide investigations of 3D printed products in many industries, including biomedical engineering, over the past decade. It is now possible to create novel bone tissue engineering scaffolds with customized shape, architecture, favorable macro-micro structure, wettability, mechanical strength and cellular responses. This article provides a concise review of recent advances in the R&D of 3D printing of bone tissue engineering scaffolds. It also presents our philosophy and research in the designing and fabrication of bone tissue engineering scaffolds through 3D printing. | Chong Wang Wei Huang Yu Zhou Libing He Zhi He Ziling Chen Xiao He Shuo Tian Jiaming Liao Bingheng Lu Yen Wei Min Wang | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,1: | 20
Malus-metasurface-assisted polarization multiplexing显示文摘Polarization optics plays a pivotal role in diffractive, refractive, and emerging flat optics, and has been widely employed in contemporary optical industries and daily life.Advanced polarization manipulation leads to robust control of the polarization direction of light.Nevertheless, polarization control has been studied largely independent of the phase or intensity of light. Here,we propose and experimentally validate a Malus-metasurface-assisted paradigm to enable simultaneous and independent control of the intensity and phase properties of light simply by polarization modulation. The orientation degeneracy of the classical Malus’s law implies a new degree of freedom and enables us to establish a one-to-many mapping strategy for designing anisotropic plasmonic nanostructures to engineer the Pancharatnam–Berry phase profile, while keeping the continuous intensity modulation unchanged. The proposed Malus metadevice can thus generate a near-field greyscale pattern, and project an independent far-field holographic image using an ultrathin and single-sized metasurface. This concept opens up distinct dimensions for conventional polarization optics, which allows one to merge the functionality of phase manipulation into an amplitudemanipulation-assisted optical component to form a multifunctional nano-optical device without increasing the complexity of the nanostructures. It can empower advanced applications in information multiplexing and encryption,anti-counterfeiting,dual-channel display for virtual/augmented reality, and many other related fields. | Liangui Deng Juan Deng Zhiqiang Guan Jin Tao Yang Chen Yan Yang Daxiao Zhang Jibo Tang Zhongyang Li Zile Li Shaohua Yu Guoxing Zheng Hongxing Xu Cheng-Wei Qiu Shuang Zhang | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 7
Materials Experiment on Tiangong-2 Space Laboratory显示文摘During the China's Tiangong-2(TG-2) flight mission, the experiments of 18 kinds of material samples were conducted in space by using a Multiple Materials Processing Furnace(MMPF) mounted in the orbital module of the TG-2 space laboratory. After the experiments of 12 kinds of samples of the first and second batches were completed successfully, astronauts packed and brought them back to the ground by ShenzhouII spacecraft. By studying processing and formation on semiconductor and optoelectronics materials, metal alloys and metastable materials, functional single-crystal, micro-and nano-composite materials encapsulated in sample ampoules both in space and on Earth, we expect to explore some physical and chemical processes and mechanism of the materials formation that are normally obscured and therefore are difficult to study quantitatively on the ground due to the gravity-induced convection, to obtain the processing and synthesis technology for preparing high quality materials, and lead to the improvement and development of materials processing techniques on Earth, and also develop the experiment device and comprehensive ability for materials experiment in microgravity environment. This report briefly introduces the main points of each research work and preliminary comparative analysis results of 12 samples carried out by scientists undertaking research task. | LI Xiangyang LU Ye MENG Xiangjian WANG Jianlu WANG Reng CHEN Lidong HUA Zile LI Xiaoya SHI Jianlin LIU Jinfeng XU Guisheng WEI Bingbo XIE Wenjun YIN Zhigang ZHANG Xingwang JIANG Hongxiang LI Hong LUO Xinghong ZHANG Haifeng ZHAO Jiuzhou WANG Binbin PAN Mingxiang | 2018 | 空间科学学报2018,38,5: | 4
Optogenetics in neuroscience:what we gain from studies in mammals显示文摘Optogenetics is a newly-introduced technology in the life sciences and is gaining increasing attention. It refers to the combination of optical technologies and genetic methods to control the activity of specific cell groups in living tissue, during which high-resolution spatial and temporal manipulation of cells is achieved.Optogenetics has been applied to numerous regions, including cerebral cortex, hippocampus, ventral tegmental area, nucleus accumbens, striatum, spinal cord, and retina, and has revealed new directions of research in neuroscience and the treatment of related diseases.Since optogenetic tools are controllable at high spatial and temporal resolution,we discuss its applications in these regions in detail and the recent understanding of higher brain functions, such as reward-seeking,learning and memory, and sleep.Further, the possibilities of improved utility of this newly-emerging technology are discussed. We intend to provide a paradigm of the latest advances in neuroscience using optogenetics. | Quanhui Chen Ziling Zeng Zhian Hu | 2012 | Neuroscience Bulletin2012,28,4: | 2
Reactivities of d^0 transition metal complexes toward oxygen:Synthetic and mechanistic studies显示文摘Transition metals such as Fe in porphyrin complexes are known to bind or react with O2,and such reactions are critical to many biological functions and catalytic oxidation using O2.The transition metals in these reactions often contain valence d electrons, and oxidation of metals is an important step.In recent years, reactions of O2 with d0 transition metal complexes such as Hf(NR2)4(R=alkyl) have been used to make metal oxide thin films as insulating gate materials in new microelectronic devices. This feature article discusses our recent studies of such reactions and the formation of TiO2 thin films. In contrast to the reactions of many dn complexes where metals are often oxidized, reactions of d0 complexes such as Hf(NMe2)4 and Ta(NMe2)4(SiR3) with O2 usually lead to the oxidation of ligands,forming,e.g.,-ONMe2 and -OSiR3 from-NMe2 and-SiR3 ligands, respectively.Mechanistic and theoretical studies of these reactions have revealed pathways in the formation of the metal oxide thin films as microelectronic materials. | CHEN ShuJian ZHANG XinHao LIN ZhenYang WU YunDong XUE ZiLing | 2009 | Science China Chemistry2009,52,11: | 2
Global antimicrobial resistance:a system-wide comprehensive investigation using the Global One Health Index显示文摘Background:Antimicrobial resistance(AMR)is one of the top ten global public health challenges. However, given the lack of a comprehensive assessment of worldwide AMR status, our objective is to develop a One Health-based system-wide evaluation tool on global AMR.Methods:We have further developed the three-hierarchical Global One Health Index(GOHI)-AMR indicator scheme, which consists of five key indicators,17 indicators, and 49 sub-indicators,by incorporating 146 countries'data from diverse authoritative databases, including WHO's Global Antimicrobial Resistance and Use Surveillance System(GLASS)and the European CDC.We investigated the overall-or sub-rankings of GOHI-AMR at the international/regional/national levels for data preprocessing and score calculation utilizing the existing GOHI methodology.Additionally,a correlation analysis was conducted between the GOHI-AMR and other socioeconomic factors. Results:The average GOHI-AMR score for 146 countries is 38.45.As expected,high-income countries(HICs)outperform the other three income groups on overall rankings and all five key indicators of GOHI-AMR,whereas lowincome countries unexpectedly outperform upper-middle-income countries and lower-middle-income countries on the antibiotics-resistant key indicator(ARR)and ARR-subordinate indicators, including carbapenem-,β-lactam-,and quinolone resistance, and even HICs on aminoglycoside resistance. There were no significant differences among the four groups on the environmental-monitoring indicator(P>0.05).GOHI-AMR was positively correlated with gross domestic product, life expectancy, and AMR-related publications, but negatively with natural growth rate and chronic respiratory disease. In contrast to Cyprus, the remarkably lower prevalence of'ESKAPE pathogens'in high-scoring Sweden and Denmark highlights Europe's huge gaps.China and Russia outperformed the other three BRICS countries on all key indicators, particularly India's ARR and Brazil's AMR laboratory network and coordination capacity.Furthermore, significant internal disparities in carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae(CRKP)and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)prevalence were observed between China and the USA,with MRSA prevalence both gradually declining, whereas CRKP prevalence has been declining in the USA but increasing in China, consistent with higher carbapenems-related indicator'performance in USA.Conclusions:GOHI-AMR is the most comprehensive tool currently available for the assessment of AMR status worldwide. We discovered unique features impacting AMR in each country and offered precise recommendations to improve the capacity to tackle AMR in low-ranking countries. | Nan Zhou Zile Cheng Xiaoxi Zhang Chao Lv Chaoyi Guo Haodong Liu Ke Dong Yan Zhang Chang Liu Yunfu Chang Sheng Chen Xiaokui Guo Xiao-Nong Zhou Min Li Yongzhang Zhu | 2022 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,4: | 2
Synthesis and characterization of poly(pyrazolyl)borate tantalum amide complexes and their reactivities toward oxygen显示文摘Reaction of TaCl(NMe2)4 (1) with KTp* [Tp* = tris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borohydride] yields two products: Tp*Ta(NMe2)4 (2), in which one N atom of the Tp* ligand binds to Ta, and [Tp*Ta(NMe2)4]· 2KTp* (3) where three N atoms of the Tp* ligand in [Tp*Ta(NMe2)4] (2a) bind to Ta. Addition of excess 1 to 3 did not exclude KTp*. Further reaction of 2 with oxygen affords Tp*BH(NMe2) (4). TpTa(NMe2)4 (5) has been synthesized by a similar procedure through the reaction of 1 with TpK [Tp=tris(pyrazolyl)borohydride]. Reactions of 3 and 5 with oxygen were also studied. 2, 4, and 5 were characterized by NMR, EA, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. | CHEN ShuJian Glenn P.A.YAP XUE ZiLing | 2009 | Science China Chemistry2009,52,10: | 2
Metasurface-based nanoprinting: principle, design and advances显示文摘Metasurface-based nanoprinting(meta-nanoprinting)has fully demonstrated its advantages in ultrahigh-density gray-scale/color image recording and display.A typical meta-nanoprinting device usually has image resolutions reaching 80 k dots per inch(dpi),far exceeding conventional technology such as gravure printing(typ.5 k dpi).Besides,by fully exploit-ing the design degrees of freedom of nanostructured metasurfaces,meta-nanoprinting has been developed from previ-ous single-channel to multiple-channels,to current multifunctional integration or even dynamic display. In this review,we overview the development of meta-nanoprinting,including the physics of nanoprinting to manipulate optical amplitude and spectrum,single-functional meta-nanoprinting,multichannel meta-nanoprinting,dynamic meta-nanoprinting and mul-tifunctional metasurface integrating nanoprinting with holography or metalens, etc.Applications of meta-nanoprinting such as image display, vortex beam generation, information decoding and hiding, information encryption,high-density optical storage and optical anti-counterfeiting have also been discussed. Finally,we conclude the opportunities and chal-lenges/perspectives in this rapidly developing research field of meta-nanoprinting. | Rao Fu Kuixian Chen Zile Li Shaohua Yu Guoxing Zheng | 2022 | Opto-Electronic Science2022,1,10: | 1

Chaperone-mediated Autophagy Regulates Cell Growth by Targeting SMAD3 in Glioma显示文摘Previous studies suggest that the reduction of SMAD3(mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 3)has a great impact on tumor development, but its exact pathological function remains unclear. In this study,we found that the protein level of SMAD3 was greatly reduced in human-grade IV glioblastoma tissues,in which LAMP2A(lysosome-associated membrane protein type 2A)was significantly up-regulated.LAMP2A is a key ratelimiting protein of chaperone-mediated autophagy(CMA),a lysosome pathway of protein degradation that is activated in glioma. We carefully analyzed the amino-acid sequence of SMAD3 and found that it contained a pentapeptide motif biochemically related to KFERQ,which has been proposed to be a targeting sequence for CMA.In vitro,we confirmed that SMAD3 was degraded in either serum-free or KFERQ motif deleted condition, which was regulated by LAMP2A and interacted with HSC70(heat shock cognate 71 kDa protein).Using isolated lysosomes,amino-acid residues 75 and 128 of SMAD3 were found to be of importance for this process, which affected the CMA pathway in which SMAD3 was involved.Similarly,down-regulating SMAD3 or up-regulating LAMP2A in cultured glioma cells enhanced their proliferation and invasion.Taken together, these results suggest that excessive activation of CMA regulates glioma cell growth by promoting the degradation of SMAD3.Therefore,targeting the SMAD3-LAMP2Amediated CMA-lysosome pathway may be a promising approach in anti-cancer therapy. | Hanqun Liu Yuxuan Yong Xingjian Li Panghai Ye Kai Tao Guoyou Peng Mingshu Mo Wenyuan Guo Xiang Chen Yangfu Luo Yuwan Lin Jiewen Qiu Ziling Zhang Liuyan Ding Miaomiao Zhou Xinling Yang Lin Lu Qian Yang Pingyi Xu | 2022 | Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,6: | 0
Sodium carbonate-assisted synthesis of hierarchically porous single-crystalline nanosized zeolites显示文摘Hierarchically porous single-crystalline nanosized zeolites as heterogeneous catalysts show great potential in fine chemistry because they offer more rich hierarchically porous channels for the mass transfer and molecular diffusion. However, the synthesis of hierarchically porous nanosized zeolites generally requires the assistance of templates acting as the mesoporogens, which limits its popularity. Herein,we report a one-pot and template-free synthesis of hierarchically porous single-crystalline nanosized zeolite beta only by introducing sodium carbonate in precursor solution. The resulted sample features the extraordinary properties, including the uniform nanocrystal(200–300 nm), high pore volume(0.65 cm^3g^(-1)) and the hierarchical pore-size distribution(e.g. 2–8 and 90–150 nm). After slicing processing, it is interestingly found that a large number of interconnected mesopores penetrate throughout whole material, which enables the hierarchically porous nanosized zeolite beta remarkably superior catalytic activity than the conventional zeolite beta in condensation of benzaldehyde with ethanol at room temperature. More importantly, this one-pot sodium carbonate-assisted synthetic strategy is highly versatile, which has also been successfully developed to synthesize hierarchically porous nanosized singlecrystalline zeolites ZSM-5 and TS. | Xiaoxia Zhou Yu Chen Tongguang Ge Zile Hua Hangrong Chen Jianlin Shi | 2017 | Science Bulletin2017,62,14: | 0
Supporting Seeder and Planting Technology for Spring Corn in Arid Areas显示文摘The annual rainfall is low and the fresh water resources are scarce for the rainfed farming in dry zone of northern China, which seriously affects the sowing and growth of spring corn. In order to solve this problem, the technology of ridge-mulching and side-sowing of spring corn is put forward, the supporting compound operation seeder is developed, and the effect of different speed on the quality of sowing is tested and analyzed. Under the test conditions described in this paper, the seeding operation with a high speed( up to 6 km/h) can be realized, and the quality of the seeding operation can meet the requirements of the national standards. The application of this machine can solve the problem of ' drought damage at the booting stage' for spring corn, thereby realizing the deep fusion of farming machine and agronomy in dry farming of northern China, and achieving the integration of farming machine and agronomy. | Xiuping ZHANG Lin CHEN Guochang FAN Xudong YAN Xingmao YUAN Yazhen ZHANG Yu XIAO Zile HAN | 2018 | Asian Agricultural Research2018,10,4: | 0
Research on the Best Shooting State Based on the “Three Forces” Model显示文摘The shooting state during shooting refers to the basketball’s shooting speed, shooting angle and the ball’s rotation speed. The basketball flight path is also related to these factors. In this paper, based on the three forces of Gravity,Air Resistance and Magnus Force, the“Three Forces”model is established, the Kinetic equations are derived, the basketball flight trajectory is solved by simulation, and the best shot state when shooting is obtained through the shooting percentage.Compared with the“Single Force”model that only considers Gravity, the shooting percentage of the“Three Forces”model is higher. The reason is that the Magnus Force generated by considering the basketball rotation speed is considered.Although in the“Three Forces”model, the shot speed is faster and the shot is harder, the backspin will reduce the angle of the shot and achieve the goal of saving effort.By calculating the best shot state and giving the athlete’s usual training state range, you can guide the training, thereby improving the athlete’s shooting percentage during the game. | Xuguang Liu Ruqing Zhao Qifei Chen Ming Shi Ziling Xing Yanan Zhang | 2020 | Journal on Big Data2020,2,2: | 0
