| 1 | The strengthening East Asia summer monsoon since the early 1990s显示文摘Previous studies have documented a weakening tendency of the East Asian summer monsoon (EASM) since the end of the 1970s. In this study, we report that the EASM has been recovering since the early 1990s, although its strength is still less than in previous decades (averaged over the period 1965-1980). Following the recovery of the EASM, there has been a tendency in the last decade toward northward-moving rainbands and excessive rainfall in the Huaihe River valley (110°-120°E, 30°-35°N). | 2 | Stepwise-Nanocavity-Assisted Transmissive Color Filter Array Microprints显示文摘Visible-light color flters using patterned nanostructures have attracted much interest due to their various advantages such as compactness,enhanced stability,and environmental friendliness compared with traditional pigment or dye-based optical flters.While most existing studies are based on planar nanostructures with lateral variation in size,shape,and arrangement,the vertical dimension of structures is a long-ignored degree of freedom for the structural colors.Herein,we demonstrate a synthetic platform for transmissive color flter array by coordinated manipulations between height-varying nanocavities and their lateral flling fractions.Te thickness variation of those nanocavities has been fully deployed as an alternative degree of freedom,yielding vivid colors with wide gamut and excellent saturation.Experimental results show that the color-rendering capability of the pixelated nanocavities can be still retained as pixels are miniaturized to 500 nm.Crosstalk between closely spaced pixels of a Bayer color flter arrangement was calculated,showing minimal crosstalk for 1μm2 square subpixels.Our work provides an approach to designing and fabricating ultracompact color flter arrays for various potential applications including stained-glass microprints,microspectrometers,and high-resolution image sensing systems. | Yasi Wang Mengjie Zheng Qifeng Ruan Yanming Zhou Yiqin Chen Peng Dai Zhengmei Yang Zihao Lin Yuxiang Long Ying Li Na Liu Cheng-Wei Qiu Joel K.W.Yang Huigao Duan | 2018 | Research2018,,1: | 8 |
| 3 | Study on variational aerosol fields over Beijing and its adjoining areas derived from Terra-MODIS and ground sunphotometer observation显示文摘This paper presents a comprehensive observa-tion technique on derived aerosols data from mobile sun-photometer graph and Terra-Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) observation. Research results suggest that after being treated by the variational technique with respect to sunphotometer observations, the Terra- MODIS remote sensing aerosol data are remarkably im-proved, thus for the first time revealing features of the influ-ence of aerosols and pollution emissions of Beijing and its adjoining areas (Hebei, Shandong, etc. provinces). The re-gional impact features of aerosols are related with the pe-ripheral U-shape topography of Beijing. | 4 | Effect of sulfur source on photocatalytic degradation performance of CdS/MoS2 prepared with one-step hydrothermal synthesis显示文摘Cd S/Mo S_2,an extremely efficient photocatalyst,has been extensively used in hydrogen photoproduction and pollutant degradation.Cd S/Mo S_2can be synthesized by a facile one-step hydrothermal process.However,the effect of the sulfur source on the synthesis of Cd S/Mo S_2via one-step hydrothermal methods has seldom been investigated.We report herein a series of one-step hydrothermal preparations of Cd S/Mo S_2using three different sulfur sources:thioacetamide,L-cysteine,and thiourea.The results revealed that the sulfur source strongly affected the crystallization,morphology,elemental composition and ultraviolet(UV)–visible-light-absorption ability of the Cd S/Mo S_2.Among the investigated sulfur sources,thioacetamide provided the highest visible-light absorption ability for Cd S/Mo S_2,with the smallest average particle size and largest surface area,resulting in the highest efficiency in Methylene Blue(MB)degradation.The photocatalytic activity of Cd S/Mo S_2synthesized from the three sulfur sources can be arranged in the following order:thioacetamide>L-cysteine>thiourea.The reaction rate constants(k)for thioacetamide,L-cysteine,and thiourea were estimated to be 0.0197,0.0140,and 0.0084 min^(-1),respectively.However,thioacetamide may be limited in practical application in terms of its price and toxicity,while L-cysteine is relatively economical,less toxic and exhibited good photocatalytic degradation performance toward MB. | Yanfeng Wang Wei Chen Xiao Chen Huajun Feng Dongsheng Shen Bin Huang Yufeng Jia Yuyang Zhou Yuxiang Liang | 2018 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,3: | 3 |
| 5 | Genetic dissection of husk number and length across multiple environments and fine-mapping of a major-effect QTL for husk number in maize(Zea mays L.)显示文摘Husk number(HN)and husk length(HL)influence the mechanical harvesting of maize grain.We investigated the genetic basis of HN and HL using a population of 204 recombinant inbred lines phenotypically evaluated in five environments.The two husk traits showed broad phenotypic variation and high heritability.Nine stable quantitative trait loci(QTL)were identified by single-environment mapping,comprising four QTL for HN and five for HL,and three QTL explained>10%of the phenotypic variation.Joint mapping revealed 22 additive QTL and 46 epistatic QTL.Both additive and epistatic(additive×additive)effects as well as a few large-effect QTL and some minor-effect QTL appeared to contribute to the genetic architecture of HN and HL.The QTL for HN located on chromosome 7,q HN7,which accounted for^20%of phenotypic variation,was detected in all five environments.q HN7 was fine-mapped to a 721.1 kb physical region based on the maize B73 Ref Gen_v3 genome assembly.Within this interval,four genes associated with plant growth and development were selected as candidate genes.The results will be useful for improvement of maize husk traits by molecular breeding and provide a basis for the cloning of q HN7. | Guangfei Zhou Yuxiang Mao Lin Xue Guoqing Chen Huhua Lu Mingliang Shi Zhenliang Zhang Xiaolan Huang Xudong Song Derong Hao | 2020 | The Crop Journal2020,8,6: | 2 |
| 6 | Operational Reliability Modeling and Assessment of Battery Energy Storage Based on Lithium-ion Battery Lifetime Degradation显示文摘Battery energy storage(BES)systems can effectively meet the diversified needs of power system dispatching and assist in renewable energy integration.The reliability of energy storage is essential to ensure the operational safety of the power grid.However,BES systems are composed of battery cells.This suggests that BES performance depends not only on the configuration but also on the operating state over different lifetime durations.The lack of safety and reliability is the main bottleneck preventing widespread applications of BES systems.Therefore,a reliability assessment algorithm and a weak-link analytical method for BES systems are proposed while considering battery lifetime degradation.Firstly,a novel lithium-ion battery model is proposed to identify the degradation rate of solid electrolyte interphase film formation and capacity plummeting.The impacts of different operating conditions are considered in stress factor models.Then,a reliability assessment algorithm for a BES system is introduced based on a universal generating function.An innovative weak-link analytical method based on the reliability importance index is proposed that combines the evaluation results of state-oriented and state-change-oriented indexes through an entropy weight method.The model,algorithm,indexes,and the usefulness are demonstrated in case studies based on aging test data and actual bus operating data.The results demonstrate the effects of the battery status and working conditions on BES reliability.Weak-link analysis is also used to assist BES systems in avoiding short-board batteries to achieve long lifetimes and efficient operation. | Lin Cheng Yuxiang Wan Yanglin Zhou David Wenzhong Gao | 2022 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2022,10,6: | 2 |

| 13 | Effect of TiO2 Nanoparticles on Charge Transportation in Mineral Oil and Natural Ester Based Nanofluid显示文摘TiO2 semiconductive nanoparticles are added into mineral and ester based transformer oil to form semiconductive nanofluids (SNFs) with the aim of enhancing the oil’s insulating performance. Charge accumulation and decay characteristics of both pure oils and SNFs are measured by pulse electroacoustic (PEA) technique. The result reveals that compared with pure oil, SNFs have more uniform in- ternal electric fields with voltage applied and higher charge decay rate after removing the applied voltage. This is caused by the increase of shallow trap density in SNFs, due to the test results of thermally stimulated current (TSC). | 16 | An Algorithm to Recognize the Target Object Contour Based on 2D Point Clouds by Laser-CCD-Scanning显示文摘For a vision measurement system consisted of laser-CCD scanning sensors, an algorithm is proposed to extract and recognize the target object contour. Firstly, the two-dimensional(2D) point cloud that is output by the integrated laser sensor is transformed into a binary image. Secondly, the potential target object contours are segmented and extracted based on the connected domain labeling and adaptive corner detection. Then, the target object contour is recognized by improved Hu invariant moments and BP neural network classifier. Finally, we extract the point data of the target object contour through the reverse transformation from a binary image to a 2D point cloud. The experimental results show that the average recognition rate is 98.5% and the average recognition time is 0.18 s per frame.
