| 1 | Autonomic nervous system network and liver regeneration显示文摘To date, various signal transducers, cytokines, growth factors, and hormones have been reported to play an important role in homeostasis of various organs. Various cells and organs are involved in the hepatic regeneration process, which proceeds as a result of the coordination of many factors. While these factors are well known to be involved in the liver regeneration after the liver injury, however, as the details of such mechanisms have not been sufficiently elucidated, the practical applicability of hepatic regeneration based on the action of these and cytokines growth factors is still unclear. In terms of the involvement of the autonomic nervous system in hepatic regeneration, cell proliferation resulting from direct signal transduction to the liver has also been reported and recent studies focusing on the inter-organ communication via neural network opened a novel aspect of this field for therapeutic applicability. Therefore, the appropriate understanding of the relationship between autonomic neural network and liver regeneration through various organs including brain, afferent nerve, efferent nerve, etc. is essential. | 2 | How the kidney hyperfiltrates in diabetes:From molecules to hemodynamics显示文摘In this review,we focused on two molecules,connexin and sodium-glucose cotransporter,which can link to diabetic hyperfiltration.In diabetic kidney,the activation of renin-angiotensin system occurs simultaneously with glomerular hyperfiltration.The latter largely dependson pathophysiological afferent arteriolar dilation in the presence of high angiotensin Ⅱ.As a mechanistic basis for the above,tubular hypothesis has been proposed for type 1 diabetic patients as well as experimental models.Although tubular hypothesis has not been well evaluated in type 2 diabetes,clinical observations support that tubular hypothesis is true also in type 2 diabetes.Recent results on tubular hypothesis along with connexin abnormality in type 2 diabetes were revisited.In addition,the importance of sodium-glucose cotransporter in diabetic hyperfiltration is discussed.The link between salt paradox and the activation of reninangiotensin system will be also reviewed. | Tsuneo Takenaka Tsutomu Inoue Yusuke Watanabe | 2015 | World Journal of Diabetes2015,6,4: | 3 |

| 5 | Visualization of sphingolipids and phospholipids in the fundic gland mucosa of human stomach using imaging mass spectrometry显示文摘AIM:To analyze the lipid distribution in gastric mucosae.METHODS:Imaging mass spectrometry(MS)is a useful tool to survey the distribution of biomolecules in surgical specimens.Here we used the imaging MS apparatus named i MScope to identify the dominant molecules present in the human gastric mucosa near the fundic glands.Five gastric specimens were subjected to iM Scope analysis.These specimens were also analyzed by immunohistochemistry using MUC5 AC,H(+)-K(+)-ATPaseβ Claudin18 antibodies.RESULTS:Three major molecules with m/z 725.5,780.5,and 782.5 detected in the gastric mucosa were identified as sphingomyelin(SM)(d18:1/16:0),phosphatidylcholine(PC)(16:0/18:2),and PC(16:0/18:1),respectively,through MS/MS analyses.Using immunohistological staining,SM(d18:1/16:0)signals were mainly colocalized with the foveolar epithelium marker MUC5 AC.In contrast,PC(16:0/18:2)signals were observed in the region testing positive for the fundic gland marker H(+)-K(+)-ATPaseβ.PC(16:0/18:1)signals were uniformly distributed throughout the mucosa.CONCLUSION:Our basic data will contribute to the studies of lipid species in physical and pathological conditions of the human stomach. | Nobuya Kurabe Hisaki Igarashi Ippei Ohnishi Shogo Tajima Yusuke Inoue Yoshihiko Takahashi Mitsutoshi Setou Haruhiko Sugimura | 2016 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Pathophysiology2016,7,2: | 1 |
